Seeing as these might be somehow important, Kei grabbed the knives and the watch, and then proceeded to follow over to the obelisk in the sand. It was almost entrancing. Marble was always a beautiful stone to Kei, only this time, she assumed it was something much more sinister than just stone, and the disc carved into it proved it for her.

With a tentative hand, the goddess reached out to touch the disc. Hopefully the same wouldn't happen to her that had happened to the other man, but then again, he seemed to be a former Human.

"Well . . ."

Her hand pressed against the disc.

Yoshi had gone to bed on the yacht soon after Bran and collapsed. He was really tired, swimming could do that to you. While he lay there, waiting for sleep, he let his mind wander as he felt the boat gently moving in the ocean. He thought about Katya and Dora. He still did not like how close they were, it made him feel insufficient for Katya, that was a terrible feeling to have. He also thought about the baby and what health problems it may or may not have because it would be a half breed. He worried that it might not be able to eat red meat like a normal human child. But most of all, he worried about Mr.s Dimitrov accepting the child if she found out that it was only half human. He let these thoughts stir for several minutes before finally falling to sleep.

"Yea, sure, I'm going with you guys.", Torii confirmed to Giovenith and Marcus. She didn't still have a full hut to go back to, and all of her friends were going there, so she sort of wanted to follow anyhow. She didn't think anything of the wards anymore, or bunnymen or werewolves, since she was pretty tired, and she didn't care to stay up all night and sleep all day.

She got up quickly, brushed the sand off of her legs, grabbed her guitar and jacket and diary, and followed after the other kids.

Blossom hid in the deepest, darkest room that she could find on the ship. No sun for her, the dawn was coming soon. She hadn't seen Toscha in a while, she wondered where he had slithered off to. Meh, she supposed he'd turn up sometime. She liked being essentially a 715 year old teenager, it meant that she could be on the level with both adults and teens and have fun with both.

"Alright then, let's go," Giovenith smiled, gesturing her friend and following along with her friends. It had been, for the most part, an absolutely wonderful night with her buddies. She wondered if this would be one of those times she'd look back on as an adult with humorous fondness, dismissing her past self as some stupid, crazy kid, while simultaneously never regretting a single moment of it.

Meanwhile, Willow wiped his mouth and took a deep breath, feeling the sickness pass. He'd overheard the children expressing their fatigue, and agreed. He hadn't slept since they left the cave, and the last few hours had been both exciting, enjoyable, and hectic. There was some self-deprecating, dark humor that the night had to be ending with sickness... like a cider season day ending badly. The difference was cider was capitol, and seering flesh was... ugh. No, no more.

"Sterling, I'm going to follow them to the yacht," the pegasus told his friend. "It's late. We can help with the huts tomorrow, and then we can go over the things I told you about in the journal. You can come or stay or whatever you want. Cool?" With a parting nod and smile, Willow quickly trotted after the hyoo-man teenagers. "Giovenith, hold up."

The disk have a brief humming not before Kei was bathed in a blinding blue light which filled all her senses. When she opened her eyes she was floating in a dark empty void of nothingness that made everything seem meek. Around her was a black seething and chattering that sound completely inhumane and menacing. Their was the violent nashing of teeth, violent screams and wails and bestial roars that echoed in their ears as the nothing around them moved toward them like a veil something was trying to reach through.

Then it all faded and Kei was standing in a more horrible place. She in a poorly lit room that reeked of flesh and blood, standing on a walkway of chiseled stone that lead to a central dais dominated by alarge metallic structure that moved slowly on its vertical axis giving off a menacing sound of placeable origin. Far away on the other side of the room is a flicker of moment.

Meanwhile the figure on the beach gives a pained noise before reawakening and siting upright a vacant and pained look in his eyes.

What was left of the pig carcass washed out to sea, the meat having been taken and packed up, ready for storage in Cuisine's refrigerator. He'd also, at MB's request, taken the spleen.

The chef trundled back up to his cabin, where he found a strange reptilian being looking up at the top of his door, where MB was still soaking in a bucket.

"Hello. Here for a meal?" he asked, incuriously. He knew the rabbit wouldn't come down without pranking the reptilian mercilessly...somehow...even without any tools.

(Joint post - Torsi, Tilt)

“Yes, it was alright, although I personally wasn’t in much of a mood to do anything during it.”, Katya replied. “I felt...mopey, as if there was no energy to use, and all I really wished to do was eat. I blame it on my damned parents’ bickering, more than anything else.”

Finished with that, she rolled over to better face Dora and asked back, “And how about you? I didn’t see you much, and I couldn’t even sit with Yoshi through most of it. Things haven’t been as active and social as I’d previously hoped for when we came back to this island.”

Dora snuffed the e-cig, mindful of Katya’s state, and nodded down at her. “Definitely. You don’t need to be stressed. Not now. Can I do anything to help you relax?”

She ignored the mention of Yoshi, to follow her own suggestion.

“Not really anything food-wise, or whatnot.”

Katya was a little tired of food and eating. Really, she blamed that for the majority of the weight she was gaining, despite her still-slim figure; her stomach was the only noticeably grown thing on her, besides other key areas that she’d need for the baby.

“Maybe some company is all I needed. I’m still a little...meh, and I just feel like maybe hanging around with another person. Hell, I’d hang out with one of the kids if it helped, maybe…”

“Well, you know, I think your sister could use some looking after, anyway. Earlier, there was this stranger hovering around, and she seemed a bit uneasy.” The changes to Katya’s figure Dora had noticed, but didn’t comment on. Not that she didn’t appreciate them - she felt sure Katya knew that - but they were just something that happened.

The redhead lowered herself onto the sand next to the aristocrat, placing a hand on the small of her back. She herself might have been sterile, but she’d watched her mother go through pregnancy with her younger siblings and knew what was in store. Rubbing Katya’s back, Dora inquired casually, “Any thoughts on the kid? It’s going to be tough on you, taking care of him or her and getting the company set up at the same time.”

“I know, I know.”, Katya replied to Dora, “It’s actually a little, oh...I don’t know, stressful, really. I’m excited and everything, but can I be honest with you? I have little actual time to work, and then I can’t do anything of what I used to while carrying a child, and then afterward? I’ll have even more responsibility, and work, and less time to myself, even though this is all because of what I wanted. I feel like I may have bitten off more than I can chew sometimes. It makes me a little bitter.”

Dora raised an eyebrow.

“You can always be honest with me. You know that.” She folded her arms. “As for the rest of it, there’s no shame in that. You’re doing what you want to do, and you’ve got me to help out with the company. That’s all anyone can ask for, really.”

She straightened out again and wrapped an arm around Katya’s shoulder. The night air was chilly, but the scent of the sea made up for it. Salty, yet comforting.

She couldn’t resist a minor jab, at that point, to indulge her playful side. Not everything had to be serious doom-and-gloom, or dramatic.

“Besides, I can also help you to relax, if you know what I mean,” she drawled, winking.

The sun had set a long time ago, yet they hadn't noticed. She wasn't someone who normally had time for poetry, but there was just something almost sublimely right about sitting on a beach with a lover, oblivious to the passage of time.

She leaned in close enough to let her breath blow across Katya's neck as she spoke.

"How about it? Up for 'relaxation', or would you prefer staying here for a while?"

"Son of a . . ."

Kei was a bit phased by the sudden transportation of the entire event, and was a bit freaked out by the perverse images that were invading her mind until she was dropped off in a room someplace, looking around at the structure in the middle. Where was she? This was unfamiliar to the tired-goddess, or she just couldn't remember any place like this.

She cautiously approached the structure in the middle of the room and looked up to it.

And then she heard the movement.

The woman turned her head and looked back, eyes panning around the room.

The movement happened again and Kei was able to spy the form of another figure dashing into one of many dark alcoves passage ways that led out of the room.

"Well, kids, it's been fun," Wren yawned as she watched Myra head to the ferry boat, "But we have food to bring back, and it's nearly 2AM."

She rose and playfully offered her hands to Barox to pull him off the log. It had been a wonderful Christmas as far as she was concerned, even if the typhoon smacked the hell out of the huts. She'd never look at mistletoe the same way again. "I'd say 'race you', but I think a turtle could beat me tonight," she laughed.

"Most everything is lightweight composite materials," Wren assured him. She giggled. No one had ever offered to carry her before.

She looked towards the direction of the compound and then across the bay to the ship. "Well, I don't know how much of your compound survived. There are staterooms on the ship. I think there's enough for Sapphire and everyone at the compound if they want to stay someplace comfy. That goes for you, too, if you want. Besides, they're reading Swith's will tomorrow at her old compound, so we could always catch a ride back here then."

Her voice lowered and she added, "I don't think we'll have to worry about wards and shadows."

Not getting away from me . . .

Kei rushed forward, heading towards the mysterious figure in a fit of curiousity. There was nothing else to do besides investigate the rift in the room that was probably a door back, but really? That'd be boring as all hell, and nothing here has so far seemed too harmful, unless she'd end up as a zombie like the other guy.

"You there!" She shouted, hoping to catch the attention of the figure.

Oh...oh my...

Katya's face shown surprise, then a sly grin. "Well, I don't see why we can't do both, but if you insist on one or another...shall we go to that run down bunker?"

Tonight, Katya thougt, was turning out better than it could be, and she really hadn't felt very energetic in a while, so she was willing to do something different for a while, and it wasn't like anyone would know...

....

"So, where will we sleep on the boat?", Torii asked. "Bedroom? Maybe bust out sleepin' bags on the deck?"

She personally wanted to sleep on the deck, under the stars. She also enjoyed the tropical air. She also remembered what Myra told her about that vending machine...she just had to see that for herself.

"No child should sleep in a hospital when they can have a cozy bed," Wren replied.

Her attention turned to Torii. "The Serenity has plenty of rooms. Some are single bed, some are double, and all are very comfortable. I suppose they won't care if you sleep on the deck. People are free to go anywhere on the ship, except the main quarters for Swi- I mean, Naomi and her siblings. Those are off-limits and guarded. Also the engine room. I can't even get in there and I have security clearance. Oh, and there's a vending machine or two that'll give you stuff but you have to talk dirty to them."

Wren shrugged and waited for Barox. They could gather everyone up and have them tucked in before dawn.

It's been a few weeks since this was posted.
"It was a nice ship, kept clean by lower ranking cultists and maintained by the middle class group to a standard that only Minerva would insist possible. People were shown to their staterooms which were decent sized and provided a bed, a bath and a comfortable seating area that held either a love seat or two chairs and coffee table. The windows allowed people to look out onto the water although they didn't slide open. The ship was definitely bigger on the inside than the outside, as those with spacial awareness skills would attest. People were given free reign but specifically warned to stay out of the ship's lowest levels, the engine room and the grand suite hallway. Two cultists were stationed at the entrance to this and refused entry to anyone that wasn't part of Chaos and they'd rudely hiss, "shh!" to noisy passersby.

There was a dining area that would easily accommodate the entire group. Good smells came from the doors leading to the galley (Christmas dinner). This floor was shared with a lounge and had a piano. A salon offered calm relaxation; this was located on the deck above the galley. People could also relax outdoors near the bow. The theme seemed to be wood and clean lines throughout the vessel. This was Swith's pride and joy, and her name was Serenity."

The movement happened again and Kei was able to spy the form of another figure dashing into one of many dark alcoves passage ways that led out of the room.

The darkness made it impossible to see the figure and instead Kei found herself running down a dark hallway that led away from the central chamber. The walls were covered in marking and symbols that were invisible in the darkness but whose shaped Kei discerned by touch. Their was a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel that might have been a trick of the build or more movement but it was difficult to tell. With it came another high pitched and very organic whine.

Committing the trail to memory, Kei pushed forward, heading down the corridor towards the light. The whine unsettled her a bit, but as she thought, this was not the worst place she'd found herself in, but those were stories for another day and time. Right now, the goddess felt she needed to get to the bottom of this all, and find out what exactly happened to that thing on the beach. The darkness was somewhat comforting to her, and the light gave her something to chase after.

The corridor open up to a dark vastness that seemed to stretch on forever their was a single candle in the middle of the floor only a few feet in front of her but its light was not strong enough to reveal if the place had walls of any kind or to show if the ground was entirely stable beyond the lights embrace. Their was the obvious sound of movement coming from beyond the light although its form wasn't discernible.

In another room . . .

Damn, Kei sure had screwed up this time. Lost in a cavernous room, with only a single candle to guide her. The goddess naturally picked up the light source and started to walk around the room, taking great care to attempt to remember what turns she took, or how far she'd walked in a certain direction, but these eventually failed her, and the woman knew she was now lost in the room, with nothing but her the candle, and the clothes on her back . . . Oh! And wait, her armor.

Well, she'd never had an excuse to wear it at the beach, and now that she seemed in some sort of danger, she unfurled the small package in her wallet, and waited as her armor materialized on her form.

Now even more tired than she was before, she pushed onwards, trying to pinpoint the movements inside of the room.

"A goddess? Heaven?". Lilian thought about a goddess existing for a moment. She had heard lots about different deities, but the information was so contradicting that she was never sure who to believe. Lilian did believe there was some sort of Heaven though. Life couldn't just end. People couldn't just fade away. "My dearest condolences, but how can a goddess die? Aren't they immortal?".

It was getting late, and people where leaving. "Should we leave now?", she asked. Lilian was too excited and curious to sleep, but she didn't want to be left in the dark. She'd heard tons of wicked scary stories about dangerous people who lurked after the sun set.

Her light would reveal a large patch of the floor was missing in one corner as well as the source of the movement and noise. A pair of hunched and bestial humanoids cowered in one of the corners, one was incredibly large with thick white limbs and open wounds all over his body that only grew as he moved. Next to him was a naked female with deep black skin that seemed to pulse with a green hue and long waist length white hair, she had a large piece of metal sticking through her stomach at an angle.

As soon as the light fell on the man he covered his face and gave forth a bellowing noise of rage and fury before running blinding toward the hallway Kei had come from. He slammed into Kei with a hammering force that was wild, savage and filled with fear knocker her back several feet before disappearing into the hallway his screams still coming from the opening. The female didn't move at all.
