So, as the thread name states, personal hygiene in your nation? Do your people smell of poo or shampoo.? Do they shave or are they gorillas? Please tell.

As for my beloved Krïdans they take hygiene very seriously. All genders shave their legs, arms, armpits, pubes, backs and chests. Krïdans brush their teeth extensively to leave pearl white teeth. Showers are taken every morning and a bath every night. Krïdans keep the soles of their feet pink and tender, including men/boys. They cut and file their nails. Much moisturiser is applied to all parts of the body.

The U.B.H.S (United British Health Service,) taken heygiene very seriously, and any outbreak of illness is not tolerated.

Our nation is a nation of hygiene lovers, they shave and shower regularly and appreciate dressing up or being smart when the time is called for. However on backwoods' camps with our countries scout organisation, we allow dirtiness as it is good for the soul.

For men the only thing allowed to be shaved completely here are the pubes. You can trim your facial hair and armpit hair though.
Men's hair must always be short. It's a culture thing but the gov enforces this so the population masses are happy with this.

Women are allowed to shave as much as they want, except for their hair, there is a limit on how short it can be.

We bathe/shower everyday but you can't bathe/shower more than 3 times a day, even thought we don't go checking and the law doesn't care about it if you bathe/shower 4 times a day once for example. All our water is treated, clean and cheap and we don't want our people to go wasting it unnecessarily.

The government distributes cheap soap for free and there are public showers that are free too so even if you are a hobo you can be clean.
Basic and cheap toothpaste & toothbrush is also free.

Having dandruff and/or a foul smell are the most important qualities to avoid. Acne is often seen as simply a coming of adulthood, but after puberty most citizens are prone to use treatment to control it. Ek'keans are avid users of hair conditioner, it is one of the most profitable fields (also very competitive) aside from tourism and electronics. It its an unspoken social rule that one should not wear the same garment for a time totaling over 8 hours without washing it. Women will never be seen using glitter, fake eyelashes, other similar products are considered ridiculous by a extremely high percentage of the population. Soft makeup is sometimes applied, anything more is left for use on formal occasions, nothing overdone, always subtle. For men, facial hair is very common, and they take pride in a well groomed beard, goatee, etc. Overall, hair tends to be on the long side for most citizens and it is quite uncommon to straighten or specially treat hair. (as compared to other nations)

Along the dirt roads of the backcountry, one can often see groups of people with pheasants, ducks or rabbits in one hand and shotguns in the other. The sheer stench takes a few minutes to get out of the nose but don't worry, they'll be showered in time to chop that stuff up for supper. People usually wash their hands for about 20 seconds and use basic shampoo, deodorant and body wash in their showers.

It's not uncommon for one to shower at least three times a day. Public restrooms often have shower pods installed, as a matter of fact. Showers often have built-in perfumes and whatnot, keeping a light, sweet smell to us. Teeth are kept white and breath kept fresh with advanced mouthwashing solutions, nails are usually kept short for both genders, but it's common for both to paint them.

Keeping yourself hairless is important, as well. Both women and men are known to keep their bodies free from any hair, with the hair on the head being an exception. Men, due to historical friendliness, have been known to keep beards and mustaches, though, they're usually expected to turn their hair into an exotic fashion statement. We don't shave, we usually have highly advanced laser removal techniques, that last quite a bit and are quite thorough in their job.

In short, you won't come across a cleaner people.
