Engines

Millennium I4 Engine
The Millennium Series is an inline 4 and is a common engine in ultra-compact, sub-compact, and compact cars in the Democratic Colonies. Lightweight and fuel efficient, it reduces weight by using aluminum wherever possible. It features dual overhead cams, variable intake manifold, electronic throttle control and direct injection. The 2.0L model features 4 valves per cylinder for relatively high output. Due to its primarily light weight aluminum construction, however, excessive forced induction or output enhancement is not recommended.

Galactic V6 Engine
The Galactic is a V6 and is a common engine in mid-size and fullsize cars in the Democratic Colonies. Its internals are of forged high strength steel, allowing for extensive output enhancement as well as great durability and longevity. It features dual overhead cams, variable intake manifold, electronic throttle control and direct injection. The 3.2L and 3.8L models feature 4 valves per cylinder and provide an excellent balance between power, weight, cost, and fuel consumption. Due to its great durability, the Galactic Series is often a target of modification.

Supreme V12 Engine
The Supreme is a 7.6L V12 created by mating two Galactic Series 3.8L V6 engines together on a single crankshaft. These technically advanced, high output V12s are known not only for their power and reliability but also their smooth running.

Valmiz have said they are looking for a partner to build the following three vehicles with them:

A supermini (size equivalent to Nissan Pulsar/Nissan Cherry)
A subcompact (size equivalent to Chevrolet Optra)
A multi-purpose vehicle/minivan - equivalent to the Chrysler Voyager / Volkswagen Routan / Volkswagen Sharan in size.

So far Valmiz have not found anyone to work with on this yet, apart from Celsan Motors.

SRB Automotive would like to market the Morningstar Intrepid in our market, however, is our nation allowed to add a suffix to the end of the name to distinguish it from another automobile also called Intrepid that is marketed in our market.
We plan to market one version, in 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. We intend to sell the rear-wheel-drive variants, and not offer the all-wheel-drive models.

We seek to establish employment within your nation's motor industry by building a plant to construct the FSW-Dodge Salitan sedan (which is also known as the Dodge Stratus in our market).
It will have a 2.4-litre/140hp 4-cylinder engine (the excellent 2.4-litre/140hp EDZ inline-4 that we already use in FSW-Chrystar, FSW-Chrysler and FSW-Dodge products).

FSW Automobiles are an established manufacturer here, who affix their name into other products, e.g. the FSW-Dodge Salitan above. We take the design ideals from others, and make them our own.

Our automobiles are the highest quality, and have won numerous awards. FSW Automobiles are not a Kilcanadian company but a multinational automobile manufacturer, and we seek to establish partnerships where we can with manufacturers.

Thank you for your interest. While the Perim Nealon Regal Group would definitely like to move ahead with your proposal, we do have certain concerns which we have outlined below.

The name "Morningstar Intrepid IV" or "Morningstar Motors Intrepid IV," possibly followed by the performance variant title of "SE" or other as applicable, are the proper ways in which the Morningstar Intrepid IV should be introduced in all sales and reference materials. After introduction in this manner, the vehicle may be referred to casually as the "Intrepid IV," but no brand name other than that of Morningstar Motors should be directly connected to the name of the vehicle. In the Kilcanada the vehicle may be marketed as "presented by SRB Automotive, the Morningstar Intrepid IV" or "the Morningstar Intrepid IV, presented by SRB Automotive" or something similar, so long as at least one degree of separation exists and the core name of the vehicle remains intact. Our previous sales in our earlier two years of international operation have been mostly to governments and dealership networks so this has not been addressed before now, so we apologize for earlier lack of informational guidelines regarding this matter.

Additionally, due to our need to protect the Morningstar brand name the Perim Nealon Regal Group insists on a certain degree of control over the production and component details of all Morningstar vehicles in order to ensure the strength of the brand and the healthiness of its perception. As such, we must insist that the Morningstar Intrepid IV not have the 6-speed AutoStick semi-automatic transmission replaced.

Should these two issues be addressed, I believe we could go ahead with this transaction. Unfortunately however, no plans for a 4 cylinder engine for the Intrepid IV exist at this time. As the Intrepid IV is a fullsize sedan and not a midsize sedan as erroneously indicated in earlier communications, we feel that a 4-cylinder engine would not provide sufficient power or performance for a vehicle in that price range.

With the initial pilot program in the United States of Allanea considered an overwhelming success, the Perim Nealon Regal Group announced today to shareholders that the PNRG Automotive division would be expanding its presence in Allanea. By the end of the year, 1,000 Morningstar Motors and 25 New Frontier dealerships are expected to be in operation in the United States of Allanea.

"This poses a significant investment for PNRG Automotive," Elizabeth Neustadt, Director of International Operations for PNRG Automotive was quoted as saying, "but we feel that our vehicles are ready for Allanea and Allanea is ready for our vehicles. While there already exists a strong domestic auto manufacturing industry in Allanea, and VLT Automotive has a strong market presence there, we feel that our vehicles are world-class and can find a home even in fiercely competitive markets like that in Allanea."

Shareholder reaction to the announcement was mixed, with some feelings that PRNG should refocus on maintaining its domestic market position, but most industry analysts are projecting at least modest success in Allanea for PNRG automotive. A statement from JP Morgan Chase, which holds a 2.51% stake in PNRG, predicted "minor success at best, abject failure at worst for the luxury New Frontier line as the New Frontier brand name is not as well established and internationally prestigious as its competitors'" but went on to predict "successful, if perhaps modest sales figures for Morningstar for the next four fiscal quarters. Morningstar's market position will be helped by the fact that domestic manufacturer Allanean Arms has a more truck and larger vehicle focused lineup, which means that Morningstar's entirely sedan and coupe based lineup faces less domestic competition in Allanea than it might."

Options for registration

There are two options when registering an overseas company in the UK - registering as a branch or as a place of business.

The first applies when a branch is part of an overseas limited company, which carries out business through local agents in the UK. The second is when the business cannot be registered as a branch because it:
is operating from within the Britishastonian Territories (this includes Averham Island and Celvey)
is not a limited company
cannot be defined as a branch because of the kind of activities it carries out.

For now we only plan to market two of the Morningstar range in our market, the Morningstar Adventa II and Morningstar Intrepid IV.
Due to the fact that the Dodge/Chrysler Intrepid is sold in our nation, we will market it under the Intrepid IV name (to distinguish it from the similar Dodge/Chrysler Intrepid - which we assume it is based on), and it will retain the Morningstar name.

While the Dodge / Chrysler Intrepid was based on the Chrysler LH platform featuring forward wheel drive, V6 engines, and automatic transmissions, the Morningstar Intrepid IV is based on the PNRG Automotive LS100 platform which shares nothing with the LH platform. Chrysler LLC only offered a vehicle named "Intrepid" between the years of 1993 and 2004 in the Democratic Colonies, which makes the distinction between the Chrysler Intrepid and the Morningstar Intrepid simple in our domestic market as only one of the two is still manufactured - we understand that this is not the case in all nations however.

We fully approve of your plans to rename the Intrepid IV ELE the Intrepid IV LX in your domestic market, but regret to inform you there will be no forthcoming "ES" designated variants as that designation is not a part of the standardized Morningstar Motor Company designation structure.

Brian Kolbe tried to calm himself, forcing himself not to fidget with his tie. Men would kill to have his job, but right now all he could think of was how little he wanted it as he continued on his journey straight upwards.

"89th floor. Have a nice day."

The elevator spoke in a soothing tone as its steel doors slid open to reveal an ornately decorated reception area. As Kolbe stepped out of the elevator, he was surrounded by numerous other business men and women, some looking nervous like himself, others looking perfectly at ease. Those who weren't busy frantically typing into laptops lounged about in comfortable leather seats, sipped coffee, and chatted amongst themselves.

"Mr. Kolbe! It's good to see you made it," greeted a woman in a skirt suit, approaching and extending a hand. "It's Jessica Winriche, we met last year?"

"Oh, yes of course, it's always a pleasure," lied Kolbe. He had no idea who this was, but shook her hand and smiled broadly. "So, how have things been going lately?"

"Good," she responded. "I was transferred to the International Dealership Quality Assurance Unit, which has been working out so far. The dealerships are following our directives, providing the right services and such, so that's all well and good. What about yourself though? You're in Derscon, right?"

Kolbe nodded nervously. "The Dersconi market is... special. We've been getting hybrid engines from Brimley Engineering, our Dersconi partner, which have been working out well in the cars. The Dersconis seem to only really want hybrids, so we have hybrid engines in that market now thanks to Brimley, but sales still aren't exactly great."

Winriche nodded, her previously cheerful demeanor diminishing. "Do you think - "

"Oh, no," interrupted Kolbe. "It's not that bad, I think. The company isn't going to have my head, but they're not going to be throwing me a parade anytime soon."

"Hybrids?" came another voice as another business woman Kolbe didn't know sidled up beside them. "I heard that they're going to can Richards after this meeting because his hybrids can't compete, I heard they're going to transfer someone over from the Volzgradian team to lead that R&D unit."

"I wouldn't spread rumors," said Winriche, her attention drifting elsewhere even before she finished her sentence. "Especially since it looks like the meeting is about to begin."

As Winriche and the others watched, the massive oak doors beside the reception desk opened, and Elizabeth Neustadt, Director of the Perim Nealon Regal Group Automotive Division, stood smiling before them.

"Well, it's been too long since I've seen all my department heads in one room. Please come with me though, and we can get this meeting started - I'm sure we all have a lot to report."

Kolbe gulped - he would never admit it, but a small part of him was really, really hoping that all the other international sales people had done as mediocre of a job as he had. At least then, he wouldn't be alone with his sub-par sales figures.
