OK, so we may have missed one, actually no we didn't, with the new league organisation and so on, the season was delayed.... there were also disagreements over qualification or something, so we have results but no entries for the missed tournaments, k?

OK, results are back, and this time they mean something! (Well, I guess they meant something before, but with the UICA qualifiers now up for grabs they now mean something more, or something). Anyway, craziness is just around the corner, we have more cups and logos and everything and they're not stolen and quickly edited for Somewhereistonia at all! Not one bit!

A new winner everybody, a team full of Candelarians finds itself in top spot, absolutely fabulous result for Volodiscow Resistance there. Metalurgs beat out a woefully under-performing Atlantas team to that juicy second TQCC spot. In fourth it's Qasarian City, what the hell are they doing up there with all this competition? Anyway, there they are. In what would have been the next Globe Cup position: ISC Rig! Unfortunately for them, the new Super Cup winner takes their spot as the top two failed to win it, apparently nobody cares about the SuperCup unless they can't otherwise qualify for anything. Blame those Malak people for voting to become a separate country and then relying on the Somewhereistonian league system for their club teams. Yeah! *shakes fist*

Err, anyway...Qasarian Sparta continue to flop down the league, 9th this season despite buying Cashunko from Volodiscow Resistance, who apparently do better without him. Funny how this stuff plays out, isn't it? Vaska and FK Kabano drop down to the Esiliiga, where we now venture for some more sporadic commentary.

This competition comprises of all the league teams of Malak, Anseriska and the four Somewhereistonian Liigas as well as the two Kulmsaar teams (who themselves play in the Nethertopian league system, somewhere) and some non-league teams to make up numbers. It was either that or invade Toyur to steal some of their teams. The latter took too much effort and might have made somebody upset, so we just used non-league teams. The idea was to allow teams not from Somewhereistonia to get in on some cup action other than the super cup (as only the 4 Somewhereistonian leagues get to play in the Liistriik Kruus). Surprisingly this frivolous cup doesn't currently have a sponsor!

No stolen logos here!

OK, just for information here, the supercup has the top two from the Mesitriliiga, A Lyga and Liga Anseriska as well as the cup winners, the winner of the competition wins a Globe Cup place for themselves or if they already have a place in that or the the TQCC, their league. So Torpedo Vitsyebsk are the unlikely winners of a Globe Cup spot.

The Prince's Shield

Back to our regular curtain raiser.

Last season Queer Poco hosted the second Copa Rushmori and couldn’t squeeze in the regular Prince’s Shield pre-season tourney. However this year was different, the fifth edition of The Prince’s Shield took place.. so huzzah for that!

Arrigo Portuguese returned to defend their title and Somewhereistonian fan favourites Atlantas Klaipaada were back for the 5th time running, Sargossans Deportivo Cordova made up the Sargossan contingent and Tyrrin Royale made their second appearance. Delaclava and The Babbage Islands popped their Prince’s Shield cherries sending Catherina FC and Wye Celtic respectively.

As for us, Royal Khaldoon made their usual appearance and chose to snub champions Pythons once again, opting to invite League I champions Valengren Kickers to come and play.

Group Stage

Group A Matchday 1
Wye Celtic 0-3 Royal Khaldoon
Catherina 3-1 Atlantas Klaipaada

Group B
Tyrrin Royale 0-2 Arrigo Portuguese
Deportivo Cordova 2-2 Valengren Kickers

Group A Matchday 2
Atlantas Klaipaada 2-0 Royal Khaldoon
Wye Celtic 0-1 Catherina

Group B

Royal Khaldoon 3-1 Catherina
Atlantas Klaipaada 3-2 Wye Celtic

Group B

Royal Khaldoon won their group and progressed for the first time ever to the knockout stage of the competition, they were followed by Atlantas Klaipaada who made the round of 4 for the 4th time in 5 appearances. Wye Celtic crashed out bottom of the group on 0 points and fellow newcomers Catherina FC were unlucky not to qualify for the second round missing out on goals scored.

In group B, Arrigo came top, failing to lose any of their opening three and were followed out of the group by Deportivo Cordova. Valengren drew three in a row to finish 3rd and despite finishing bottom Royale performed better than their last appearance taking a point back home with them.

The knockout round would be a whole Rushmore affair for the first time in history as Group A winners took on Group B runners up and vice versa.

Semi Finals

Royal Khaldoon 2-1 Deportivo Cordova

Arrigo Portuguese 1-1 Atlantas Klaipaada (1-1 AET) (Arrigo Portuguese wins 1-0 on penalty kicks)

Royal became the first ever Pocoan side to reach the final, squeezing beyond Cordova by a single goal. It took penalties to separate Arrigo and Atlantas, but it would be the two time winners who would go on to the final to try retain the shield.

Final
Royal Khaldoon 1-2 Arrigo Portuguese

And lo and behold, Arrigo take the shield once again and to commemorate their run of three straight titles the CMSC side get to keep the shield forever (*much applause*). A 2-1 victory proved to be enough to stop Royal Khaldoon winning the title in front of the home fans.

Osarian Football 2180-81 Season Kicks Off

As the 2180-81 season kick off approaches, there have been very few transfers, and only one signing of note. The transfer of Rio Fortunado from Tyrrin's Racaw Sultan to new King's League champions Greeningham City. The fee was an unbelievable 46 million osarian credits, which is pretty much the entirety of the Giants' transfer budget.

It is believed that Osarian teams are suffering a downturn in profit due to economic instability this year, and as a result, only Greeningham - who have spent little in recent times - seem capable of bringing in foreign talent. Utica had a mini clear out, with both Mooney and Harris leaving the club, while Firewood City have experienced what amounts to an enforced early retirement. Jacob Dawson was suspended for 18 months by the OFA as a result of match-fixing allegations. Controversially, Orlando Florian was cleared. Dawson, being the lynchpin of Firewood's defence, will now need to be replaced. Willem Hamel is reluctant however, to dip into the transfer market, instead insisting on relying on Firewood's impressive reserves and youth players.

Elsewhere, Burningham City's squad has beefed up a little too, with Everton McNeill and Caspian Reyale gaining a new partner or rival - depending on how you look at it - in the perhaps surprising form of Lance Sandoval, from relegated Clefton Town. Its worth noting though, that Sandoval managed to net an impressive 19 goals for the relegated side; half of their total. A feat only bettered by current Osarian international Frederico Avila, or "Jesus of Kart Hago" as he is sometimes known.

The OFA also published their end of season coefficient rankings, which will be used to seed the groups for the Minor League Championship this year, although the OFA have (mystifyingly) persisted on using league positions for the OFA and Corradini cups.

1	Firewood City 106.174
2 Grasshoppers Turic 102.166
3 Burningham City 100.995
4 Trothwands Evolution 83.978
5 Greeningham City 82.120
6 Kings Guard Sporting 76.958
7 Renneville United 72.359
8 Callisto City FC 70.138
9 AFC Hollybrent 67.472
10 Blacktube Village 64.911
11 Utica United 64.834
12 Hastmead Diamante 64.535
13 Rapid Hearthlands 61.822
14 Kart Hago 61.366
15 Highport Athletic 61.048
16 Hamtown Athletic FC 58.782
17 Wellmont United FC 58.727
18 Charleston Athletic FC 58.439
19 Muirford Athletic 57.045
20 Cymrwell FC 56.022

The top twenty retains mostly familiar teams, and Firewood's impressive - if ultimately disappointing - dual cup run last season sees them reclaim their top spot as the number one side in the nation, even if they aren't champions. Surely they will be looking to fix that this year, though. The full list is available at the official OFA website for the curious.

Enough about the teams though, we'll do a full review next week. First things first, we have a new pre-season tournament announced by Dynapolis United - currently playing in Balida - for four teams. As a rule, they intend to invite the Corradini Cup winners, #1 ranked team in the country (based on OFA coefficients), and their old rivals Burningham City, to the Benevolence Bowl for a two day friendly tournament, predictably named the "Osarilux Media Trophy @ The Benevolence Bowl". No subliminal advertising there, then.

Anyway, the first OMT went down like this at the start of the week:

2180 Osarilux Media Trophy @ The Benevolence Bowl

Semi Finals

Burningham City	1 - 3	Dynapolis United
[17'] R. Atkinson (DYN)
[39'] L. Sandoval (BUR)
[57'] T. Maceal (DYN)
[59'] Reyes (DYN)

Firewood City	2 - 1	Trothwands Evolution
[03'] R. Bonriou (FWC)
[53'] E. Lohn (TEV)
[84'] G. Russell (FWC)

Purely coincidentally, the four teams formed two pairs of rivals, who actually faced off in the semi final stage. The fan favourites prevailed in both cases, with the home side seeing off their historical rivals - both on and off the pitch - despite a goal from debutant Lance Sandoval, and Firewood City seeing off Malachi Lubret's Trothwands side again, perhaps regaining some pride (again) after their Corradini cup final defeat earlier in the year.

Final

Dynapolis United	2 - 0	Firewood City
[34'] J. Walcot (DYN)
[72'] T. Maceal (DYN)

Perhaps surprisingly, as they appear to be the weakest of the four teams, the home side picked up the win... convincingly. And that Firewood curse of cup finals struck again. Willem Hamel must really be wondering about that now. Granted, he didn't field a full strength squad once, with Lewis, Watson, Florian and Lopez all playing just 45 minutes in the entire tournament, but he must still be wondering about why his team has lost so many cup finals over the past few years. Stefano Albertini on the other hand will be very pleased with his side. The Golden Dragons are faltering in the BFL despite being tipped for the title in pre-season by Balidian and Albundanian pundits, but this should give them the boost they need to push on and really challenge the league leaders Ribth FC and Drewchester United.

Yesterday saw the official curtain raiser for the 2180-81 season, as Greeningham City took on Hastmead Diamante for the Queen's Shield. With the royal family in attendance, the televised game drew in a lot of viewers as it was billed as David vs Goliath. The plucky underdog youngsters of Hastmead, taking on the moneybags superstar national champions of Greeningham. Perhaps an exaggeration on the part of broadcasters, but millions tuned in nonetheless.

Queen's Shield 2180 @ Mount Crown Stadium

Greeningham City 1-0 Hastmead Diamante

Unfortunately, a sixty-ninth minute goal from talented Connar Republic striker Zack Marley settled the tie, in favour of the King's League champions. Amandeep Sahota's young side gave a great account of themselves, though, and many pundits have remarked that it would be a surprise if they were to be relegated this season.

Next week we will do an analysis of each of the King's League sides, as well as the major contenders in the Royal and Phoenix Leagues.

THE INAUGURAL SEASON: HALFWAY

Copa Calania: Round Three
Now that's more like it! Thrilling football, and a couple of meaty shocks to boot! Casuals were turned over on penalties by Secklow, whilst Liga Omega minnows Jhan Province went and mugged Cedrus Soundgardia on home turf.

Tie of the round, though, was the seven goal breathtaker that was Iskara Daii v Stanton Town; the Starblaydi side coming out on top, four-three.

Results:
FC Farça 3-1 Oustia
Casuals Osteria 2-2 Secklow (aet; FT 2-2, Secklow win 5-3 on pens)
Hersch Albion 1-0 Basian Valley (aet; FT 0-0)
Internashionale 0-2 Telecontarë
Sporting Salicus 2-1 Ellisham
Montepool Waves 2-0 Archaeos Judiciary FC
Emberton Reds 2-0 Mercia Bromham
Beckton Supermarine 1-0 Paricone Athletic
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-2 Jhan Province
Iskara Daii 4-3 Stanton Town
Widdrington Wolves 0-1 Thackworth Rovers
Notegia Rangers 3-2 Norton
Malta Lines 2-2 Sandwell Rangers (aet; FT 2-2, Sandwell win 4-3 on pens)
Avidia United 1-0 Tabeck FC
Beverington Hawks 0-1 Jhanna City
Foxchester Raiders 0-2 Caledon Simpson

Matchday 19
As the first half of the season draws to a close, the table begins to take shape. Telecontarë's defeat to Hallad Reavers is a disaster though, as they tumble to fifth; Emberton Reds and Iskara Daii are the sides taking advantage of the situation.

Beckton, meanwhile, continue their fightback, leaping out of the bottom four after victory over Stanton, who drop to eighteenth.

Results:
Montepool Waves 1-2 Emberton Reds
Hallad Reavers 2-1 Telecontarë
Beckton Supermarine 2-1 Stanton Town
Avidia City 0-1 Avidia United
Ousevale Borough 3-2 Royal Emberton
Notegia Rangers 2-2 Caledon Simpson
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Casuals Osteria
Jhanna City 2-2 Tabeck FC
Foxchester Raiders 3-0 FC Farça
Corinthian Spirits 3-1 Malta Lines
Internashionale 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Iskara Daii 3-1 Cedrus Soundgardia

Matchday 20
It's looking increasingly like a club from the sky blue side of the Beck will be walking away with the title this season. With the top three all-Krytenian, and all winning (including a five-nil drubbing by Mercia Bromham over Cedrus), the Starblaydi sides will struggle to get to the summit this season.

That's not to say they're not trying, of course. Though Iskara Daii dropped points against Malta Lines, Telecontarë hammered Avidia City to move to fourth.

Good news, too, for Notegia Rangers. They leapfrogged Cedrus to climb off the foot of the table following a hard-fought draw with Avidia United.

Results:
Foxchester Raiders 1-2 Montepool Waves
Jhanna City 3-0 Hallad Reavers
Emberton Reds 2-0 Beckton Supermarine
Telecontarë 5-1 Avidia City
Stanton Town 0-2 Ousevale Borough
Avidia United 2-2 Notegia Rangers
Royal Emberton 2-0 New Cefn Albion
Caledon Simpson 1-2 Casuals Osteria
Tabeck FC 1-2 Corinthian Spirits
FC Farça 1-0 Internashionale
Malta Lines 1-1 Iskara Daii
Cedrus Soundgardia 0-5 Mercia Bromham

Matchday 21
First, meet third. As you may guess, goals ensued. Seven of them, in fact, as Ousevale beat Emberton Reds four-three in a cracking encounter. Iskara Daii were very pleased about this, too, as it allowed them to rocket up to third in the table after their demolition of Tabeck.

The less said about the Elves, the better though. They could only draw with Notegia "Twenty-Third" Rangers and drop to fifth.

Results:
Montepool Waves 0-3 Internashionale
Hallad Reavers 0-4 Corinthian Spirits
Beckton Supermarine 2-2 Foxchester Raiders
Avidia City 4-0 Jhanna City
Ousevale Borough 4-3 Emberton Reds
Notegia Rangers 2-2 Telecontarë
New Cefn Albion 2-2 Stanton Town
Casuals Osteria 2-2 Avidia United
Caledon Simpson 0-2 Royal Emberton
Iskara Daii 5-0 Tabeck FC
Mercia Bromham 5-2 FC Farça
Malta Lines 0-0 Cedrus Soundgardia

Matchday 22
It's beginning to come up Tigers. Ousevale open up a useful three-point lead as Mercia stumble against Montepool; Iskara and Reds also win, whilst the elves draw again to go nine points off the lead.

And the least said about Cedrus, the better.

Results:
Mercia Bromham 1-1 Montepool Waves
Iskara Daii 4-2 Hallad Reavers
Internashionale 1-0 Beckton Supermarine
Corinthian Spirits 4-0 Avidia City
Foxchester Raiders 1-3 Ousevale Borough
Jhanna City 1-1 Notegia Rangers
Emberton Reds 3-2 New Cefn Albion
Telecontarë 2-2 Casuals Osteria
Stanton Town 3-3 Caledon Simpson
Avidia United 1-3 Royal Emberton
Tabeck FC 3-1 Malta Lines
Cedrus Soundgardia 2-4 FC Farça

Matchday 23
Beckton Supermarine, what have you done? Somehow, the bottom-feeders managed to beat Mercia Bromham, and Ousevale said "thank you very much" as they defeated Internashionale to increase their lead to six points.

Second place is now a real scrap; with Iskara Daii and Emberton Reds both winning, only goal difference seperates second, third, and fourth. Elsewhere, Cedrus pulled a five-one win out of the arse end of nowhere against Tabeck to dump Notegia back onto bottom spot.

Results:
Montepool Waves 2-1 FC Farça
Hallad Reavers 2-0 Malta Lines
Beckton Supermarine 3-2 Mercia Bromham
Avidia City 2-4 Iskara Daii
Ousevale Borough 2-1 Internashionale
Notegia Rangers 1-3 Corinthian Spirits
New Cefn Albion 1-3 Foxchester Raiders
Casuals Osteria 4-2 Jhanna City
Caledon Simpson 0-4 Emberton Reds
Royal Emberton 1-3 Telecontarë
Avidia United 1-2 Stanton Town
Tabeck FC 1-5 Cedrus Soundgardia

(Still no sign of a sexy logo...)

The Una Serie, hitting you up quarter mark stylee.

So with the Prince’s Shield over and done with and all the fun of the international club competitions through (Pythons made the group stages and in some twisted way played NAPPC 4 times in the process in qualifying and in the groups – what might be twisted about that you ask… well other than the fact former Pythons star forward Ishmael Van Dyke now plays for them, not much), we're back to our wacky little league. 11 games in and the shape of the table is as you can expect for so early on with Royal Khaldoon leading the way and Valengren Kickers showing their new look team can mix it with the big boys. 1860 throw a little spanner in the works however as they find themselves in a shock third position (not as shocking as last week when they were second *omgz*

Week 11 results went a little like this..

Pythons 0-1 Ridgemont Town (Boguinskaya 67)

1860 Flumineiro 2-3 Valengren Kickers (Gabrini 28, Weatherall 39. Morini 6, Gnomo 60, Srion 63)

Salaga F.C 1-2 Royal Khaldoon (Karembeu 77. Polinski 38, 53)

Athletic Khaldoon 4-3 Almondvale (Jones 15, Caicedo 33, 82, Valeny 46. Frederico 22, 44, 75)

Augustus 2-1 Jonastown United (Gaspar 6, Zezinho 49. Rildo 54)

Villa Ortiz 3-2 Skyte City (Maloney 2, 67, Angulo 90. Espimas OG 31, Batista 90+ Pen)

Game of the week goes to Athletic vs Almondvale for putting on a spectacular 7 goal thriller, with Athletic relying on an 82 minute winner to pry any semblance of a point from Vale. Jones gave Athletic the lead on 15 mins, but Vale pulled one back 7 minutes later as Frederico scored his first of three. Miguel Caicedo regained the lead for Khaldoon on 33 before Frederico hit back again just before half time with a stunning volley. Sub Ludovig Valeny put the home side 3-2 up with a near post header just after half time. The game stayed at 3-2 for nearly half an hour until Frederico finished off his hat trick, rounding Brad Johnson in the Athletic goal before side footing into the open net. However Athletic would claim all three points after Caicedo’s speculative attempt struck the post and went in. Man of the match goes to hat trick hero Frederico who displayed the kind of goal scoring prowess that made him a household name in Queer Poco. Much expectation was put on Ferguson’s men this season to compete for silverware however Vale currently sit 9th 2 points above the relegation zone.

This is closely followed by the 3-2 win for Alex Rowley’s men at the Ortiz Soccer Dome. After racing into the lead in the second minute thanks to Craig Maloney’s scrambled effort, Ortiz were pipped back thanks to an own goal. A poorly timed header back to the keeper resulted in Espimas heading right past O’Connor. Maloney regained the lead for Ortiz in the second half and a 90th minute goal from substitute Angulo looked to have killed off the match. However an injury time penalty made the last two minutes nervy for the home side. The three points will come as a relief to Ortiz who currently find themselves bottom of the league.

The champions young team lost by a single goal at home to Ridgemont as they struggle for consistency in these early stages going 4/3/4 with a minus 1 goal difference. Coach Mark Sloan can’t really complain though as his knows best attitude may prove to have been the wrong one to take letting seasoned players Ruud Seedorf, Tamir el Zahar and Frederico leave in the summer, replacing them for younger players lacking experience. The winning goal came in the 67th minute courtesy of Malak forward Vitali Boguinskaya who managed to turn on the edge of the box before firing a low effort into the bottom corner of Wilf Laudrup’s goal.

The Kickers took 2nd place with a close fought battle with 1860, mounting a second half comeback to win 3-2 after trailing at the break. Forward Gnomo got them back on track hitting the equalizer on the hour mark before Vanorian centreback Daeron Srion powered home a header three minutes later from a corner. The strong mindedness of the team proved their credentials worthy of being considered title challengers.

Royal kept their grip on top spot after Secristani striker Kevin Polinski hit a brace in a routine 2-1 win over Salaga FC. The home side’s consolation came through Emile Karembeu whose spectacular solo run was the highlight of the game, going past three defenders before shooting into the roof of Baskovic’s goal. The five point gap at the top of the table will come as a relief for Somewhereistonian boss Tarmo Mae who, after last year’s trophyless season is under pressure to deliver. New Salaga boss Javier Vilche is already under a lot of pressure as his side are only 2 points ahead of bottom side Villa Ortiz.

Augustus – Jonastown ended 2-1 with Augustus controlling most of the game. Coach Hugo Viana beamed after the match “The lads played terrifically, we dominated in the midfield and were unlucky up front, we could’ve scored 4 or 5. As for their goal, the lad was clearly in an offside position.” The goal he’s referring to came in the 54th minute as Jonastown’s Rildo tapped in after the Augustus keeper, Roy James spilled a long range effort, Rildo was clearly in an offside position, which somehow went unnoticed by the referee and linesmen.

A quick gander over the table and it looks something like this…

More than half-way through the season Vale look strong for another title. Leas are hot on their tails after a good derby day against the uni team with a 2-1 win. AFC Vatalors and newly promoted AFC Mintos are in 3rd and 4th with no chance of catching up at the minute. Dale ,Trioreo Town and Sewermouth are all trying to catch them up. Mouth City and Toileten are occupying the bottom spots and are trying to stay up.

FFB Premier League Season 27

The feel-good story of the year is the renaissance of Dover City, who appear to have fully recovered from the double-loss of Magnus Svoboda to death and Tegan Nash to Cafundéu. Real Santa Catalina placed second and may get their first TQCC bid if the schedules work in their favour. Twenty-two year old striker Debbie Sherman of Bloomfield National nabbed league MVP honours, narrowly edging Real keeper Luis Benito and Dover City captain Isaac Buffington.

Four Towers, after four years in the top two, suffered through a season of dissension in the clubhouse and collapsed to tenth. However, they evaded the relegation fate meted out to Great Falls Cymru and Gernsback United.

Vale take their third championships and Leas hang their heads in shame. Leas were 2 points off at the end of the season but stuffed up anyway. Leas Uni. manged to end up 13 points of Leas at the end of the season. Mouth City were 5 points of safety at the end of the season and Seven United were one point off with one game to go but Sewermouth won and they only drew so they are going down.

Are We Really That Bad?

Seriously, I’m asking. Go on, be blunt. We can take it. We’re all about self improvement over here. Definitely. We don’t mind a bit of constructive criticism. Nope. No sir-ey Brian. Actually, scratch that. We do mind, we can’t take it and self improvement can bugger right off thank you so much. We’re all perfectly happy with our inflated opinion of our own sporting prowess, Cup of Harmony trophy and all that. Still, you can’t help but wonder . . .

Particularly given a second successive failure by the national side to reach the world cup, its continued struggles in the treacle like morass of the world ranking’s mid-thirties and yet another fairly dismal showing by Sargossan clubs in the international club competitions. The TakilQuip Champions Cup remains a poisoned chalice for the Archipelago’s representatives. Deportivo Cordova, supposedly the second best club in the whole ruddy nation at the moment, embarrassingly fell in only the second preliminary round to Greeningham City of Osarius of all places. And one round later El Nacional, a traditional giant of the domestic game, lost home and away to D-League outfit Sporting Lakeport while SuperLiga champions Ciudad Soluca needed away goals to edge past modest Bloomfield National. But once again the group stage was something that happened to other nation’s club as the Soluca side were dumped out in the playoff round by the Krytenians, they were still just Krytenians at this point, of New Cefn Albion. And so endeth the TQCC.

But then there was the Globe Cup. The dear, sweet Globe Cup. Even we can do well in that, surely? And it all started off very promisingly with Mercadel S.C. comfortable knocking over a side from some god awful place. And then the Islanders looked even more comfortable in the next round, sticking eight past Lemanskigrad United of, err . . . I want to say, Albundania. Enter stage left some more dastardly Krytenians to end little Mercadel’s run. But ex national champions Sporting San Marquez fared better, easing past Fletwood County to join TQCC losers Deportivo Cordova in the draw for the Eliminatory Stage. So that was all right then. Sadly Sporting were paired with Cafundéu’s Porto Lacruz and no prizes for guessing how that ended. Deportivo on the other hand beat some more Albundanians to join Alianza Jucaro and fellow TQCC failure El Nacional in the qualifying stage.

The SuperLiga regularly enjoys representation in the group stage of the GC, and would again thanks to Ciudad automatically qualifying, but to have four clubs in the mix would be an impressive feat. Fat chance. El Nacional diced with death a few times in their tie with impressive newcomers Polar Zenith of Zarbli but came through by the odd goal in a mere eleven. And that’s where it ended as Deportivo exited at the hands of a bunch of old Gynaecologists and Alianza were destroyed by CS Ourseville 1093. In the group stages Ciudad continued their recent good run in the competition, the only SuperLiga side that can claim such a thing, by finishing second in a largely Rushmori group. El Nacional didn’t quite have it so good, losing out on goal difference to a Nethertopian club that actually plays in Nethertopia. Oh the shame. In fact the home defeat to Sportivo Gretor ended the reign of EN’s own Nethertopian boss Otto van Belhamel.

Last season Ciudad Soluca reached the quarter finals of the Globe Cup, the first time a Sargossan club has done such a thing in either competition, possibly. This season they repeated the achievement, racking up impressive wins over Tallyn Rovers of Ad’ihan and Capitalizts Medoria Löwen in the process. But this far into a tournament someone nasty inevitably lurks just other the horizon. Last year it was über giants Cafundó do Juta, this season mighty Dunboor FC came out of the hat. With an altogether predictable outcome. So there it ended, another international club cup campaign with a TQCC whitewash and just a single team making through to the other side of the GC group phase. Impressive t’is not. Still, always next year, yes?

Azulans Go Pro?

It’s finally seems to have happened. Costa Azula, that merry little protectorate on the Rushmori mainland, happily toiling away under the Sargossan jackboot, is getting its own football league. Huzzah and such. Technically there was already a league there, an amateur setup at its formation that gradually became semi-pro as money from the territory’s gradually growing economy started to filter down. But for years applications to both the Liga Sargossa and its Football Federation of Sargossa overseers concerning Azulan clubs entry into the Archipelago’s existing domestic structure were turned down. Until now.

In a press conference in Delgadopolis, the territory’s principal city, FFS President Rafael Barragán confirmed the creation of a professional league consisting of a top division and two feeder leagues. Although he was at pains to stress that the newly formed league would not absorbed into the existing Liga Sargossa structure but would rather by run as a totally separate competition under the auspices of the FFS, effectively barring Azulan sides from eventually competing in the SuperLiga. Although, perhaps to soften the blow, Barragán did hint that Sargossa’s as yet untouched Cygnus Series B Champions’ Cup places could well be dished out to the top four places of the Liga Azula, the new twelve team upper tier.

The announcement along with the fact that applications around the multiverse are being filed for entry into World Cup 51 has also fuelled speculation that the creation of a Costa Azulan national side can’t be far away. Speculation that has been quickly doused back in Soluca by a hierarchy concerned that their uranium rich province not get ideas above its station.

For this season, Delaclava has decided, for the first time, to enter their champions into UICA competitions! Many stories surround this season, including the players from the WC50 team returning to competition, the terminated manager Nolan Wright returning to his club, and Queer Poco el Mono Ara goalkeeper Petr Ollic coming to play for Steckholl United. The results:

Steckholl wins their first ever league championship, and it is the FIRST time in 15 years that a team other than Catherina FC or Cleopatrana FC has won! David Ward, who hasn't done very well on the national team, has come back to captain South Harbor to second place and a spot in the TQCC! Blackwell's chemistry helps them to fifth place and a spot in the Globe Cup by only a points over Tigers!

THE INAUGURAL SEASON: PART FIVE

Copa Calania: Round Four
Six teams from outside the top flight came into this round; only one emerged out the other side. Full credit, though, to Sporting Salicus, who took a surprise early lead against Caledon and hung on to eliminate the Liga Calania side. Honourable mention, too, to Hersch Albion, who took Montepool all the way before being squeezed out in sudden-deat penalties.

And the less said about Thackworth, the better.

Results:
Avidia United 7-1 Thackworth Rovers
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Emberton Reds
Secklow 0-3 Telecontarë
Hersch Albion 2-2 Montepool Waves (aet; FT 2-2, Montepool won 7-6 on penalties)
Iskara Daii 2-1 Jhan Province
FC Farça 1-0 Sandwell Rangers
Jhanna City 2-0 Notegia Rangers
Caledon Simpson 0-1 Sporting Salicus

Matchday 24
The top four carried on where they left off as the second half of the season got underway; Ousevale defeated New Cefn, Iskara beat Beckton, and Emberton Reds took down Cedrus, whilst Mercia were the most impressive, knocking six past Royal Emberton at the Isserson.

Changes just below, though, as Telecontarë inexplicably lost to Montepool, allowing Casuals into fifth and lifting the Waves a place to nineteenth

Results:
Avidia City 2-4 Internashionale
Stanton Town 0-0 Caledon Simpson
Cedrus Soundgardia 2-4 Emberton Reds
New Cefn Albion 1-3 Ousevale Borough
Notegia Rangers 2-4 Avidia United
Tabeck FC 3-2 FC Farça
Malta Lines 0-0 Hallad Reavers
Beckton Supermarine 0-1 Iskara Daii
Jhanna City 3-1 Foxchester Raiders
Corinthian Spirits 0-2 Casuals Osteria
Royal Emberton 0-6 Mercia Bromham
Telecontarë 1-2 Montepool Waves

Matchday 25
Ousevale win five-nil, Mercia win three-nil, Emberton win four-nil, and if it weren't for the fact that two of them beat Starblaydi sides I'd swear we were talking about another season of the O-League. OK, so Iskara Daii (despite losing to Tabeck) and Telecontarë (who beat Royal Emberton) are at least making a show of it, but the difference in class is painfully visible at the top. Lower down, though, the teams are well-matched, as thirteenth-placed Farça's three-all draw with tenth-placed New Cefn will attest.

Results:
Internashionale 0-4 Emberton Reds
Caledon Simpson 1-2 Avidia City
Ousevale Borough 5-0 Stanton Town
Avidia United 2-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
FC Farça 3-3 New Cefn Albion
Hallad Reavers 2-0 Notegia Rangers
Iskara Daii 2-4 Tabeck FC
Foxchester Raiders 1-3 Malta Lines
Casuals Osteria 0-0 Beckton Supermarine
Mercia Bromham 3-0 Jhanna City
Montepool Waves 0-0 Corinthian Spirits
Telecontarë 3-0 Royal Emberton

Matchday 26
I should really learn to shut my mouth. Ousevale lost, Reds lost, Daii third, and one theory immediately out of the window.

Results:
Avidia United 1-0 Internashionale
Ousevale Borough 1-2 Caledon Simpson
Avidia City 3-2 Emberton Reds
Stanton Town 0-1 FC Farça
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-0 Hallad Reavers
New Cefn Albion 2-3 Iskara Daii
Notegia Rangers 0-0 Foxchester Raiders
Tabeck FC 2-2 Casuals Osteria
Malta Lines 0-3 Mercia Bromham
Beckton Supermarine 2-2 Montepool Waves
Jhanna City 1-4 Telecontarë
Corinthian Spirits 4-1 Royal Emberton

Matchday 27
Will the real Ousevale Borough please stand up? A week after losing to Caledon Simpson, they thump Avidia City seven-one to keep their three-point advantage at the top. Telecontarë, meanwhile, go back to dropping points against supposedly inferior opposition by drawing with Malta Lines, the defensive team who can't defend.

Results:
Internashionale 3-1 Hallad Reavers
Caledon Simpson 2-1 FC Farça
Emberton Reds 1-0 Avidia United
Ousevale Borough 7-1 Avidia City
Iskara Daii 3-1 Stanton Town
Foxchester Raiders 2-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Casuals Osteria 2-3 New Cefn Albion
Mercia Bromham 3-1 Notegia Rangers
Montepool Waves 1-2 Tabeck FC
Telecontarë 1-1 Malta Lines
Royal Emberton 3-3 Beckton Supermarine
Corinthian Spirits 3-0 Jhanna City

Matchday 28
Casuals Osteria, you bunch of numpties. Two points in twelve games mean they are now seven points off fifth, twelve away from a TQCC place, and only one ahead of seventh-placed Tabeck FC. Stanton were the latest beneficiaries from this shocking slump in form.

Above them, the top five all won - convincingly - and it's as you were.

Results:
Foxchester Raiders 3-0 Internashionale
Iskara Daii 5-2 Caledon Simpson
Hallad Reavers 1-3 Emberton Reds
FC Farça 1-4 Ousevale Borough
Avidia City 1-3 Avidia United
Stanton Town 2-0 Casuals Osteria
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-5 Mercia Bromham
New Cefn Albion 3-0 Montepool Waves
Notegia Rangers 0-4 Telecontarë
Tabeck FC 3-0 Royal Emberton
Malta Lines 1-1 Corinthian Spirits
Beckton Supermarine 3-3 Jhanna City

Matchday 29
The big game, of course, was at the Southern Arena, where Ousevale kept their lead at three with a good victory over third-placed Iskara Daii.

No changes in the top six positions despite that though - hell, even Casuals managed to win, stopping the rot against Caledon - and so the main beneficiaries turned out to be Avidia United. The Eagles leapfrogged Tabeck into seventh after defeating the Reavers, whilst Tabeck could only draw with Jhanna City.

Results:
Internashionale 0-4 Mercia Bromham
Caledon Simpson 1-3 Casuals Osteria
Emberton Reds 1-4 Foxchester Raiders
Ousevale Borough 3-1 Iskara Daii
Avidia United 1-0 Hallad Reavers
FC Farça 3-1 Avidia City
Montepool Waves 2-1 Stanton Town
Telecontarë 6-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Royal Emberton 0-3 New Cefn Albion
Corinthian Spirits 0-1 Notegia Rangers
Jhanna City 2-2 Tabeck FC
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 Malta Lines

HYDRO SUPER LEAGUE - SEASON SEVEN (PREVIEW OF THE NEW SEASON - PART I)

Welcome to another season of the Valladar Super League, called by sponsorship reasons Hydro Super League, which has reached its seventh season. 20 teams are more than ready to fight for the crown won by Tannenberg FC the last season in a exciting HSL 6, where we saw Nacional's revival, after 5 years in the second tier of valladar football, and their first qualification for a international tournament (the Aeropag Football Invitational), and Bezieres' consolidation as a soon-to-be first level team in valladar football.

The format for the HSL 7 was not changed, giving some mid-table teams, like Cerro, Caimanes, Canalave and Bezieres the chance to qualify for a international tournament. As for the "Big" teams, they will still fight for Champions' Cup and Globe Cup berths for the next season, so we can expect another exciting edition of the Super League. Then, we'll begin...

INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE:

The football season in Valladares started with the UICA competitions, where the valladar teams have demonstrated they have become in worthy opponents despite the young history of the national league. So far, we've had two teams in the group stage of the Globe Cup: Eterna Stars and Tannenberg FC. But what about the Metropolis teams? Both Metropolis Alligators and Marinos Metropolis have still too much to show in UICA competitions, since their performances have been very disappointing. Let's see what happened in the TakilQuip Champions' Cup:

Two teams were back in the Champions' Cup after many seasons: Slateport Bulls entered the TQCC for their first and only time in TQCC 15, and Tannenberg FC were absent from the Champions' Cup during four seasons. In this TQCC, both teams were knocked out in the earlier stages of the Champions' Cup: the "Bulls", who confirmed their "well-deserved" nickname of "international jesters" were eliminated by Bloomfield National, from the Babbage Islands, and the "Citizens", after knocking out Fleetwood County from Kosovoe, were defeated by Chadbourne City from Tentalon.

In the Globe Cup, the history seemed to be a bit different, with a new valladar team in the international stage: AS Bezieres. "Les Rouges", after being placed in seventh place in the Aeropag Football International 2, qualified to the Globe Cup as fifth placed in the last Super League. In the Playoff Access Stage, Bezieres eliminated Western Territories FC from Liventia, however, in their toughest challenge ever, the "Rouges" had to face Caires City. They were no rivals for the Candelariasian team, and they were thrashed twice. That should be a lesson for the Bezieres' boys, who committed the "beginner's mistake." Metropolis Alligators started in the Selective Stage, and went through the Qualifying Stage after knocking out teams like Ridgemont Town, San Vivaldo and Norrion Rovers, from Valanora, before facing CS Lac-Amédée. The Septentrionians demonstrated to have a far better team than the "Alligators", and the MA were eliminated with dignity.
Both Slateport and Tannenberg entered to the GC after their respective eliminations in the TQCC, but were quickly eliminated, and Slateport confirming their "nickname", specially created for them by Marinos' fans. And Eterna Stars brought hope to valladar fans after beating the powerful Hatton Town from Ad'ihan, in a penalty definition that no Eterna fan will forget for a long time. The "Stars" were eventually eliminated by Alianza Ciruelas in the Qualifying Stage.

And last, but no least, we have the Cygnus Series B Champions' Cup, where our teams made disappointing performances. Lili (after eliminating Crosby Athletic from Tentalon), Belfort and Olympique de Fontvielle were all knocked out in the second preliminary round, while AS Vaud, returning to the Super League after their relegation two seasons ago, were no rivals for Katya City College, from Dancougar, in the playoff round. That shameful performance made by the valladar clubs should make the VFA to think about the declining quality of the B-League.

And now, we will present the 20 teams competing in this edition of the Super League:

(Key: Best three players in bold)

AD CERRO: Tavarello - Garcés, Brown, Tamayo, Cortés - Alvarado (C), Villarraga, Robson, Vargas - Riascos, Galletti
Full Name: Asociación Deportiva Cerro
Nickname (s): "Los Celestes" (The Sky Blue Men), "El Tigre" (The Tiger)
Stadium: Estadio Miller Hoverberg, Cerro, District of Metropolis (Cap. 10,000)
Sponsor (s): Alcaldía Local de Cerro, Lux Biscuits, Carvajal Motors
Home Kit: Sky blue shirt and black shorts
Away Kit: White shirt and black shorts
Third/GK Kit: Red shirt and white shorts
Chairman: Gerard Villeneuve
Coach: Anthony Clark
Some Facts about the Team: Cerro is a relatively young team in valladar football, having been founded in 1986, and being promoted to the Super League after B-League 2. They have always fought to be amongst the top teams in the Super League, and every season they have created some troubles for the "Big" teams, and for teams like Slateport, Fontvielle and Marinos. Cerro players like to show an offensive game no matter where they are playing. Despite not having qualified to the TQCC or the GC yet, Cerro is making efforts to reach that achievement. According to pundits, Cerro and its young players have still to show their true potential and this season seems the perfect for Cerro.
Rivalries: Nacional, SC Caimanes, Metropolis Alligators, Marinos Metropolis
Fans: Cerro's fanbase is passionate, despite being small. Their fanbase is too small compared to the ones of teams like Marinos and Metropolis Alligators, however, Cerro's fans are as noisy as them. Their mentality towards the team is not constant, and tends to change at any time: if Cerro wins, they want to worship even the cleaners of the team's headquarters, but if the team loses, they want to destroy everything.
Prediction: 10th, unless Cerro manages to get into the top 6 of the league, what could be possible if the team manage to consolidate themselves as one of the "wildcards" in the Super League.

AS BEZIERES: Moore - Lores, Alzach, Rubiano, Rousseau - Lamont (C), Vercoutre, da Lima - Revault, Collazos, Uribe
Full Name: Association Sportive de Bezieres
Nickname (s): "Les Rouges" (The Reds), "Les Démons" (The Devils), "Le ASB" (The ASB)
Stadium: Stade Jules Picot, Bezieres, Foix (Cap. 38,000)
Sponsor (s): InterRail, Hydro-Foix
Home Kit: Red shirt and white shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: Green shirt and black shorts
Chairman: Rèmy de Saint-Lorent
Coach: Yves Rexach
Some Facts about the Team: Bezieres is one of the most popular and traditional teams in Valladares. Founded in 1968, "les Rouges" were the most successful team in the amateur Foix State Championship, where they won almost every title. During the first seasons of the Super League, Bezieres seemed to be doomed to the mid-part of the standings, but everything changed when Rèmy de Saint-Lorent bought the team some weeks before HSL 5. Saint-Lorent, one of the wealthiest men in Valladares, invested much money on the team, and it gave the results: runners-up in the HSL 5 Apertura, qualified to the AFI, where they were seventh, and the Globe Cup in the following season. Bezieres tends to be an ultra-defensive team when they play away from Bezieres, but when they are playing at the Stade Jules Picot, nicknamed the "Chaudron Rouge" due to the hostile environment, Bezieres is a dangerous team and their opponents tend to leave Bezieres with 0 points in the bag. All that success in just two seasons is making the pundits to consider "Les Rouges" as a candidate for the title of "Fourth Big Team of Valladares."
Rivalries: Fontvielle Impact, Tannenberg FC, SC Caimanes, Marinos Metropolis, Slateport Bulls
Fans: AS Bezieres has a strong fanbase in the city of Bezieres and its outskirts. Most of their fans are loyal to the team and do not tend to go nuts after a defeat. They do not tend to feel themselves provoked, and most of them are peaceful fans just wanting to cheer their team.
Prediction: 5th. Bezieres could be fifth again thanks to the generous investments made by their chairman. He could be also thinking in a title, but it could be only to upstage Fontvielle Impact, who have become in the most successful team from the Foix state in the Super League.

AS MONTREUX: de la Rúa - Ramón, Márquez, Faurand, Chamoun (C) - Villanova, Dentinho, Luciano, Pereira, Alzate - Stevenson
Full Name: Association Sportive de Montreux Football Club
Nickname (s): "Les Hérons" (The Herons)
Stadium: Stade Micoud, Montreux, Foix (Cap. 15,200)
Sponsor (s): Le Nation
Home Kit: White shirt and red shorts
Away Kit: All red
Third/GK Kit: Blue shirt and black shorts
Chairman: Ernest Correa
Coach: Gilbert Favrè
Some Facts about the Team: Montreux is not a team with tradition. The team was founded in 2000 after the merger of some little football clubs in Montreux. The first (and only so far) glory moment that Montreux have had in the Super League was leading the standings during 5 weeks in their first season in the top tier. Since then, Montreux has entered a slump from which it may be difficult to escape. Montreux have been always considered a defensive team, no matter where they play. Maybe this fact has scared the increasingly few fans present at the Stade Micoud for Montreux's home games. In the last season, Montreux avoided relegation in the penultimate match. The question is: Will they be able to avoid it again?
Rivalries: AS Vaud, AS Bezieres, RC Belfort, Fontvielle Impact, Olympique de Fontvielle
Fans: Few, silent and sometimes loyal. That phrase can perfectly describe Montreux's fans. No need to say more.
Prediction: 18th. Regrettably, the pundits think it's time for Montreux to return to the B-League. Maybe competing in the B-League will make them recover their strenght (and surely it'll make Montreux's fans to learn to be more humble as well)

AS VAUD: Francis - Jones, Richardson, Velmont, Silvera - Ruiz, Díaz, Sandro (C), Ortega, Carrasso, Payet
Full Name: Association Sportive de Vaud-Gatineau
Nickname (s): "Les Étudiants" (The Students)
Stadium: Stade Mouliere, Gatineau, Foix (Cap. 11,150)
Sponsor (s): ThermoClean, Ville de Gatineau Council
Home Kit: Black shirt with blue vertical stripes and blue shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with black vertical stripes and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: Yellow shirt and white shorts
Chairman: Lucien Delmont
Coach: Alberto Vega
Some Facts about the Team: Vaud returns to the Super League after their one-year exile in the B-League. This team was founded in 1997 by the workers of ThermoClean, a power supplier for factories, which has had their main thermal power plant in Vaud. "Les Étudiants" are not a traditional team, they are the fourth most popular team in the whole Foix state and the 16th most popular in the whole nation. Vaud uses an offensive style, trying to play long balls. As for the players, they are nothing special, I mean, other teams have better players. However, they are not pushovers, and they could be another "wildcard" for the season, if they continue their excellent pre-season preparation for the Super League.
Rivalries: AS Montreux, RC Belfort, Olympique de Fontvielle
Fans: Vaud's fans tend to get mad at the referees when they when it's a fault favoring the opposing team or when they start to feel that the referee begins to "favour" the other team. They tend to fill the small Stade Micoud to its full, even if the team is last in the standings. It can be concluded that they are loyal and passionate fans who do not tolerate anything against their team.
Prediction: 16th. The pundits think Vaud are doing an excellent preparation for the Super League, however, that could be not enough. They feel Vaud are not ready to fight in the top places yet.

CANALAVE DRAGONS: Vega (C) - Perea, Sánchez, Aljure, Lacombe - Carreño, Silva, Jones, McAllister - Thomas, Leclerc
Full Name: Canalave Dragons Football Club
Nickname (s): "The Dragons"
Stadium: Dragon Stadium, Canalave City, Eterna (Cap. 35,000)
Sponsor (s): VN Bank, Mercantil
Home Kit: White shirt with red vertical stripes and red shorts
Away Kit: Red shirt and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Efraín Guzmán
Coach: Thomas Russell
Some Facts about the Team: Canalave Dragons have become one of the "wildcards" in the Super League since their promotion three seasons ago. The "Dragons" are a traditional team in the Eterna state, and the third most popular team in that state, after their natural rivals Eterna Stars and Slateport Bulls. The Dragons like to show their offensive game in every stadium they play, and historically, they have been stronger when playing at the Dragon Stadium than outside of it, due to the hard and hostile environment created by their fans, and the weather conditions present at Canalave City.
Rivalries: Eterna Stars, Slateport Bulls, Nord Energie FC
Fans: Canalave's fans are passionate and loyal. They consider themselves as the "12th player", due to their (sometimes extreme) fanatism. With their noise and their harangues against visiting teams, they are responsible for creating the worst possible environment for the visitors at the Dragon Stadium. Canalave's fans were considered the "most loyal fans" in the last edition of the Super League.
Prediction: 11th. Historically, their campaigns in the Super League have been acceptable. However, for this season, the "Dragons" seem not to show any wishes to improve themselves and give a surprise to the entire nation.

CHIQUITO FC: Vanderley - Sinclair, Hortúa, Rosero, Cifuentes (C) - Castroneves, Gomes, Dickens - Barrera, Méndez, Torres
Full Name: Corporación Deportiva Chiquito Fútbol Club
Nickname (s): "Os Verdes" (The Green Men)
Stadium: Estádio Estadual Brito Manganelli, Chiquito, Chiquito (Cap. 51,200)
Sponsor (s): MarketFrontier
Home Kit: Green shirt with yellow sleeves and green shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with green sleeves and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All blue
Chairman: Nazário Salgado
Coach: Alexis Conte
Some Facts about the Team: Despite having two players in the National Team, being from the fourth biggest city in the nation and winning half of the editions of their State Championship, Chiquito FC are not what people could think. "Os Verdes" are a mid-table team, and during the last two seasons, they were in danger of relegation at some point. Chiquito tends to show a defensive game in every stadium, relying on counterattacks. Despite the best efforts of the team's chairman, Executive Board and coach to strengthen the team's squad, the team is still considered a second-class team in valladar football.
Rivalries: SC Caimanes, AS Bezieres
Fans: Chiquito's fans are among the most passionate fans in the Super League. However, they tend to insult their own players if they feel the players are not showing any sacrifice in the game. This was proven true in the last World Cup Qualifying, when the National Team coach was booed by the fans at the Estadual.
Prediction: 13th. According to the pundits, Chiquito still proves to be a modest team with little favoritism. They may have as many players as they want in the National Team, but a team without winning mentality is nothing.

ETERNA STARS: Mezaguez - Lannoy, Calheira, Palacios, Millers - Reyes (C), Rivas, Andrade, Torres - Mosquera, Londoño
Full Name: Eterna Stars Football Club
Nickname (s): "The Stars", "The Yellows"
Stadium: Alain Tramontin Stadium, Eterna City, Eterna (Cap. 55,000)
Sponsor (s): Bavaria Brewery, BetPlus
Home Kit: Yellow shirt with white shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Maurice Dufrasne
Coach: Peter Holmes
Some Facts about the Team: One of the "Big" teams of Valladares, winners of the Super League in HSL 2, seventeen-times winners of their State Championship, and the first valladar team qualified to the group stage of any UICA competition in Globe Cup 14...the Eterna Stars make their appearance in this preview. That third place in the last Super League, after two disappointing editions make the Stars eager to win their second title, since it shows Eterna have not lost their position as a "Big" team to teams like Slateport Bulls and Fontvielle Impact. The Stars usually display an offensive game, using the wings and long passes. The "Stars" are one of the most traditional teams in Valladares, as well as one of the most popular teams, along with their arch-rivals Tannenberg FC and Metropolis Alligators.
Rivalries: Metropolis Alligators, Tannenberg FC, Slateport Bulls, Canalave Dragons, Fontvielle Impact
Fans: Eterna Stars have an important fanbase widespread in the whole nation, but most of them are concentrated in Eterna City and its outskirts. They tend to be passionate, loyal, and aggressive and intolerant with other fans, specially with Metropolis Alligators', Tannenberg's, Slateport's, and Fontvielle's fans.
Prediction: 2nd. The excellent season made by the "Stars" in the last Super League makes us believe they might win their second title in this season. The pundits predict the fight for the first place with Tannenberg and Metropolis Alligators will be more heated and closer this time, however, Tannenberg currently have a better squad than "Alligators" and "Stars", making us think the Stars would fight for the second place this time.

FONTVIELLE IMPACT: Lacombe - Lavoisier, Salazar, Millar, Demont - Perrin, Le Tallec (C), Romero, Bársenas - Gignac, de Roux
Full Name: Impact de Fontvielle Football Club
Nickname (s): "Les Bleus" (The Blues), "The Impact"
Stadium: Stade de l'Amitié, Fontvielle, Foix (Cap. 25,000)
Sponsor (s): Tamount Group, Ville de Fontvielle Council
Home Kit: All blue
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Antoine Tamount
Coach: Guy Royal
Some Facts about the Team: Fontvielle Impact, the team owned in its entirely by one of the largest food providers in the nation, Tamount Group, have become in a team to not forget when it comes to the fight for international tournaments berths. The Impact were champions of the Super League in HSL 5, after a demolishing performance which surprised the whole nation. It's true that the current players are not the same players that won the title for the Impact two seasons ago, however, they have the potential to win another title for the second city in the Foix state, and the second title for the whole Foix state. Fontvielle Impact likes to display a balanced game, trying to press the rival's defensive zone during the first minutes, and trying to defend themselves with the ball when needed. Young players like Yoan Gignac and Jean-Pierre de Roux and experienced players like Gilbert Le Tallec have the key for Fontvielle's success in this season. They just have to do their best.
Rivalries: AS Bezieres, Olympique de Fontvielle, Eterna Stars, Metropolis Alligators
Fans: Most of Fontvielle's fans work in Tamount factories, or worked for Tamount at some moment. Currently, they are specially concentrated in Fontvielle and its outskirts, Gatineau, Bezieres, and the French-speaking neighborhoods of Metropolis. They show unconditional love to the team and tend to be noisy, cheerful and optimistic, even if the team is at the bottom of the table. Although they can be unruly and rebellious, but that happens when fans of other teams provoke them.
Prediction: 6th. After a disappointing season, Fontvielle's Executive Board wants the team to return to the international stage. Although the team's performances in UICA competitions have been a disaster, the Board has decided as objective the Aeropag Football Invitational berth, which they lost by just one point to Nacional. The pundits and fans think Fontvielle could finish in the top 5, due to the team's squad, but there are some teams with the same objetive. Time will tell if Fontvielle deserves to enter another TQCC-GC, or if their level only helps them to qualify for the AFI again.

HAMANOS ATHLETIC CLUB: Garcés - Vergara, Lamoroux, Ruiz, Torrealba - Machado (C), Douglas, Cortés, Garzón - Perea, Andrews
Full Name: Hamanos Town Athletic Club
Nickname (s): "The Orange", "The Dam's Boys", "The HAC"
Stadium: Estadio Municipal, Hamanos Town, Antioquia (Cap. 14,000)
Sponsor (s): Energy Inc.
Home Kit: All orange
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All blue
Chairman: Paul Jackson
Coach: Andrés Cañon
Some Facts about the Team: Hamanos Athletic Club are not certainly a traditional team, but, despite their mediocre campaigns, they have not been relegated in the history of the Super League. The team from the city where the main valladar hydroelectric dam is located are often doomed to the last places every season, mainly due to their weak squad and their poor results in the Super League. The HAC have not reciprocated the support of the main Valladar public companies with their results, and they have seriously considered withdrawing their support for the team due to that fact. Hamanos are a defensive team, trying always to rely on counterattacks while they defend their goal.
Rivalries: Slateport Bulls, Pradera FC, Nord Energie FC
Fans: The HAC have a small fanbase, concentrated in Hamanos Town and its vicinity. They are not loyal to the team, since the Estadio Municipal is never filled with local fans. In each Hamanos' match at the Estadio Municipal there are maximum 3,500 local fans, proving the lack of support the team has, thanks to their poor campaigns.
Prediction: 19th. Hamanos have never been relegated to the B-League, despite their poor campaigns. In the last three Super League editions, they have ended in the 17th place. This time, Hamanos' squad is weaker than ever, and promoted teams like Vaud are doing efforts to avoid relegation. According to the pundits, the HSL 7 seems to be the "grand finale" to Hamanos' history in the Super League.

MARINOS METROPOLIS: Sánchez - Umaña, Gutiérrez, Correa, Perea - Ricardinho, Acuña, Rojas, Oliveira (C) - Patiño, Aguilar
Full Name: Club Deportivo Marinos de Metropolis
Nickname (s): "Los Marineros" (The Mariners), "El Cuarto Grande" (The Fourth Big Team), "Los Azul Celeste" (The Sky Blue Guys)
Stadium: Metropolis Dome, Metropolis, District of Metropolis (Cap. 65,000)
Sponsor (s): Valladar Broadcasting Corporation, AL Electronics
Home Kit: Sky blue shirt and black shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: Yellow shirt and white shorts
Chairman: Luis Montes
Coach: Vacant (Interim: Manuel Ríos)
Some Facts about the Team: Marinos are the second most important team in the city of Metropolis, after their arch-rivals Metropolis Alligators. "Los Marineros" won the Super League once, in HSL 4, and managed to set the largest victory streak in any Play-Off round in the Super League, winning all their six matches at the HSL 4 Apertura's Play-Off. However, they are not considered a "Big" team according to the pundits, despite having a large number of fans, and titles in the Super League. They like to display an offensive game, although some times, they have to rely in counterattacks and control of the ball. Marinos is coming from a disastrous season, where they ended in the 10th place. That performance generated a crisis inside Marinos, leading to the last coach's and some players' dismissals. This season starts with a huge question over Marinos: will they recover from the hecatomb in the last season?
Rivalries: Metropolis Alligators, Slateport Bulls, AD Cerro, Nacional
Fans: Marinos is the fourth most popular football team in Valladares, with a large fanbase. About 11% of Valladar population support the club, and their average gates for their home matches are the fourth highest in the Super League. Their fanbase is located mainly in Metropolis. Marinos' fans are considered one of the most passionate and loyal to their team in the Super League. They constantly tend to fight with Metropolis Alligators' and Slateport Bulls' fans, since their hostility towards them is big as well as Marinos' rivalry with both teams.
Prediction: 8th. As said before, Marinos is coming from a disastrous season, and perhaps their squad is weaker than the last season's one. This time, Marinos' executive board, players and fans are thinking in recover from the hecatomb in the last season, not in fighting for UICA qualification places. According to the pundits, this season will be a "recovering season" for "Los Marineros".

HYDRO SUPER LEAGUE - SEASON SEVEN (PREVIEW OF THE NEW SEASON - PART II)

METROPOLIS ALLIGATORS: Fuentes (C) - García, Pereira, Dufraz, Silva - Ospina, Botero, Gutiérrez, Macías - Londoño, Salgado
Full Name: Metropolis Alligators Football Club
Nickname (s): "Los Caimanes" (The Alligators), "Los Verdiazules" (The Green and Blue Boys), "El Titán" (The Titan), "The MA"
Stadium: Metropolis Dome, Metropolis, District of Metropolis (Cap. 65,000)
Sponsor (s): UNE Telecomunicaciones, UltraTeam, Hydro, V-Train, District Mayorality of Metropolis
Home Kit: Green shirt with blue vertical stripes and green shorts
Away Kit: White shirt and black shorts
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Olivier Bonilla
Coach: Charles McMurdon
Some Facts about the Team: Two-times winners of the Super League, twenty-two times winners of the Metropolitan Championship, Metropolis Alligators is the most successful club in the history of Valladar domestic football. The Alligators were also the first football club in being founded in Valladares, as they were founded as Metropolis Royal University Sporting Club in 1915, and established as Metropolis Alligators in 1958. Owned by Lorenzo Camargo, one of the most successful businessmen in Valladares, and also owner of the main club's sponsor (UNE Telecomunicaciones), the Alligators are the richest club in the nation, and with a youth system that any other club would like to have. For this season, the Alligators do not have longer the competitive squad they used to have, since their two best players were sold to Atlético Insular (Cafundeu) and Cathedral City (Candelaria And Marquez). This time, with a young squad, the Alligators are preparing to fight for their third title. However, the competence with Tannenberg FC and Eterna Stars seems to be harder.
Rivalries: Marinos Metropolis, Tannenberg FC, Eterna Stars, Fontvielle Impact, SC Caimanes, AD Cerro, Nacional
Fans: With a 14.3% of popularity, Metropolis Alligators is one of the most popular clubs in Valladares. Their fanbase is by far, the largest in the nation. The Alligators have fans in every city, town or village in Valladares. These fans are characterized for being noisy, loyal to the team, also, they protest when they see the team play poorly and they are not tolerant of opposing teams fans.
Prediction: 3rd. Metropolis Alligators do not have the same squad that helped them win their two titles. They are a rather young team who do not seem to be prepared to compete for the title with Eterna Stars and Tannenberg FC. They can, and they have team to qualify for the Globe Cup, although who knows if the young Alligators manage to take advantage of the fierce fight between "Stars" and "Citizens", managing to win the title at the end of the season...

NACIONAL: Barrera - López, Russell, Martínez, Rueda - Vélez, Ruiz (C), Smith, Lecompte, Renato, Márquez
Full Name: Club Nacional de Fútbol
Nickname (s): "La Academia" (The Academy), "Los Albos" (The Whites)
Stadium: Estadio Miller Hoverberg, Cerro, District of Metropolis (Cap. 10,000)
Sponsor (s): No sponsors at the moment
Home Kit: All white
Away Kit: Red shirt and blue shorts
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Gerardo Matallana
Coach: Harrison Villar
Some Facts about the Team: Nacional is a traditional team in Valladares, despite their lack of important titles, as they are the second oldest football club in Valladares, being founded in 1918. They were the second most important football club in Metropolis during at least 50 years, before their downfall in the 80's. With an excellent youth system, Nacional managed to win the fifth edition of the B-League, thus giving them the promotion to the Super League, where after a promising start, they ended in the sixth place, qualifying to the Aeropag Football Invitational, after fighting until the last matchday for a berth in the last Globe Cup. Nacional display a balanced game, trying to have a solid defense and a devastating attack, but sometimes relying on counterattacks. In this season, "Los Albos" will have to travel to Aeropag to face their first international experience in the high tier of football: the AFI. The pundits think Nacional could become in the "next Bezieres" if they manage to do an outstanding performance there and they later qualify for a Globe Cup, like Bezieres did the last season.
Rivalries: AD Cerro, Metropolis Alligators, Marinos Metropolis
Fans: Nacional have a small fanbase, however, they are loyal to the team. In every Nacional's match at the Miller Hoverberg, there are 10,000 noisy fans cheering their team, no matter the rival.
Prediction: 7th. Nacional has demonstrated that, after their five years in the second category of the valladar football, they have a squad that can do big things in the Super League, and their future is bright as well. However, their participation at the AFI will surely affect the team, and AS Bezieres and Fontvielle Impact are more than ready to take advantage of any Nacional's mistake in the Super League.

NORD ENERGIE FC: Reeves - García, Smith, Cabrera, Edwards - Nicholls (C), Evans, Romero, Taylor - Gomes, Andrews
Full Name: Nord Energie Football Club
Nickname (s): "The Blood and Gold", "The Electric Boys"
Stadium: Municipal Stadium, Toril, Eterna (Cap. 5,000)
Sponsor (s): Energy Inc., Bavaria Brewery
Home Kit: Red shirt with yellow vertical strips and yellow shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Gerard Montana
Coach: Gilles Cheyrou
Some Facts about the Team: Nord Energie is the youngest team amongst the ones competing in this year's Super League, as they were founded six years ago by the workers of Carrillo Canyon I, one of the most important dams in the nation. Nord Energie entered to compete in the B-League in its third season, being placed in ninth place. However, the "Blood and Gold" managed to be in second place the following year, being promoted to the Super League. Their results in the Super League have been if not the best, acceptable at least. Nord Energie are characterized for displaying a defensive style, trying to withstand the onslaught of their rivals as long as possible.
Rivalries: Canalave Dragons, Eterna Stars, Hamanos Athletic Club
Fans: Nord Energie's fanbase is mostly formed with the former workers of Carrillo Canyon I, most of them live in the outskirts of Toril, a town located north of Eterna City. This small fanbase is not as noisy as other small teams' fanbases, and they tend to sit down and just watch the game. Their loyalty is questionable since Nord Energie do not tend to play with full stadium.
Prediction: 14th. Nord Energie may not have a competitive squad, but their players are not really bad. Although this team can easily avoid relegation this season, their squad do not make the pundits think they can be placed in a better place in the standings.

OLYMPIQUE DE FONTVIELLE: Gavanon (C) - Carrasso, Govou, Velmont, Lacroix - Lopera, Montes, Puel, Santos - Revault, Simão
Full Name: Club Sportif Olympique de Fontvielle
Nickname (s): "Les Jaune et Bleu" (The Yellow and Blue), "Le OF" (The OF)
Stadium: Stade de l'Amitié, Fontvielle, Foix (Cap. 25,000)
Sponsor (s): Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Valladares
Home Kit: Yellow shirt with details in blue and blue shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with details in blue and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All red
Chairman: François Lemerre
Coach: Jean Camacho
Some Facts about the Team: Olympique de Fontvielle is the second football club in Fontvielle, after Fontvielle Impact. With less history, fans, support from private and public enterprises and titles than their rivals, the Olympique is relegated to be the second team in the worker city of the Foix state. Olympique have always been between first and second division throughout the history of the Super League, alternating between mediocre campaigns in the Super League, and excellent campaigns in the B-League. Under the new coach, Jean Camacho, Olympique might be a rather more offensive team than the one they used to be, as he is an expert with offensive teams, and is likely going to implement that style in the Olympique as he did with other teams in past seasons. Let's see if Camacho manages to avoid relegation with the OF, which could be a success for the team in this new season.
Rivalries: Fontvielle Impact, AS Vaud, RC Belfort, AS Montreux, AS Bezieres
Fans: As the second team in the city, Olympique de Fontvielle have few fans. Few, but they have them. OF's fans are noisy, and like to cheer their team, however, they are not loyal to the team, since there are less than 2,500 present fans in every Olympique's match at the Stade de l'Amitié.
Prediction: 17th. Despite the announced change of strategy, thanks to the arrival of coach Camacho, Olympique do not have still a strong team to fight for big things. According to the pundits, they would avoid relegation...but only in the final matchday...

PRADERA FC: Rodríguez - Saraz, Grajales, Barco, Gaviria - Garcés (C), Castro, Borrero, Phillips, Ruiz - Tello
Full Name: Pradera Fútbol Club
Nickname (s): "Los Verdiblancos" (The Green and White)
Stadium: Estadio Gobernador Villa*, Ciudad Pradera, Antioquia (Cap. 19,000)
Sponsor (s): Provenza Beef
Home Kit: Green shirt and white shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All black
Chairman: Guillermo Buitrago
Coach: Gonzalo García
Some Facts about the Team: Pradera FC is the most important team in the Antioquia state, based in its capital Ciudad Pradera. Pradera are not a traditional team, and right now, they are considered the "weakest team from any state capital" in the Super League. Despite this contempt conveyed by their rivals, Pradera are not pushovers, and they tend to make themselves strong when playing in their stadium. However, during their first matches in this season, the Estadio Gobernador Villa will be closed, and "Los Verdiblancos" will have to look for another stadium to play their home matches. Their results in the Super League are acceptable: they have never been fighting for a title, but they have not been close to be relegated. Pradera plays using a balanced style, trying to control the ball as long as possible.
Rivalries: Hamanos Athletic Club
Fans: Pradera's fanbase is located mainly in Ciudad Pradera. Their fans are noisy, and tend to insult directly their own players when they feel their players are not doing any sacrifice in the game. Every person accepting to be the Pradera's coach must be prepared to endure the pressure from the Estadio Gobernador Villa's "shareholder's stand".
Prediction: 12th. For this season, Pradera FC does not show any wishes to do a better campaign than the ones done before. According to the pundits, their squad's quality has not changed, only their names. This, added to the fact that they will play their first home games outside of Ciudad Pradera, would affect the team. This does not mean that the squad Pradera currently has will send them to the relegation. There are worst teams than them right now, teams that really deserve to be relegated at the end of the season.

* Due to works being held at Estadio Gobernador Villa to upgrade its capacity to 23,500, Pradera FC will play their first ten matches as home team in a place to be confirmed.

PUMAS MALDONADO: Deivid - Costa, Mineiro, Gomes - Guimaraes, Toledo, Vanegas, Texeira (C), Renan - Nilton, Roudet
Full Name: Pumas Maldonado Futebol Clube
Nickname (s): "O Puma" (The Cougar)
Stadium: Estádio de Maldonado, Maldonado, Chiquito (Cap. 23,000)
Sponsor (s): UltraTeam
Home Kit: Blue shirt with details in white and blue shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with details in blue and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All yellow
Chairman: Inácio Montalvo
Coach: Frèderic Galletti
Some Facts about the Team: Pumas are the main football team from the third most important city in the Chiquito state: Maldonado. They managed to qualify for a Play-Off round when the Apertura-Clausura system was implemented in the Super League, however, the last seasons have been totally devastating for them and their fans. Their last campaign was horrible, since Pumas was placed in the "red part" of the standings, facing relegation danger at some point. This season, Pumas have been doing their pre-season with the idea of avoiding relegation, and they have hired some people that could help them to achieve that: an experimented coach that helped Canalave Dragons to establish themselves away from that zone, some decent players from other teams and a committed new board. The simple fact of being away from relegation will be success for them.
Rivalries: Chiquito FC, SC Caimanes
Fans: This team's fanbase is located mainly in their city: Maldonado. Their fans do not accompany in crowds their team when Pumas plays at the Estádio de Maldonado. This does not mean their fans are not loyal to their team, this has an explanation: Maldonado is a city where unemployment rules, that means that very few people have money to pay their tickets to see their team at the stadium. Interestingly, Pumas' fans DO accompany their team when they play in other city. Strange, isn't it?
Prediction: 15th. The pundits say Pumas do not have still a strong team to help them be placed in a higher place in the standings. Maybe they will avoid relegation, but, their team may not be ready to be placed higher than 15th place.

RC BELFORT: Roux - Martín, Saavedra, Landreau (C), Salaverry - Rolland, Fernández, Roudet, Roberts - Audel, Lacourt
Full Name: Racing Club de Belfort
Nickname (s): "Les Rouge et Noir" (The Red and Black)
Stadium: Stade Omnisports Gatineau, Gatineau, Foix (Cap. 17,500)
Sponsor (s): BetPlus
Home Kit: Red shirt with black vertical strips and black shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with details in black and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All green
Chairman: Walter Rivera
Coach: Maurice Frei
Some Facts about the Team: RC Belfort is one of the representatives from the third largest city in the Foix state: Gatineau, along with AS Vaud. This team is not traditional, although they competed in the first edition of the Super League. They have been in two seasons so far in the highest tier (three if we count this), and their results were not the best: they were relegated to the B-League in both times. This time, nobody expects changes in this team: the same weak squad, the same aspirations of avoiding relegation, the same ineffective board, etc, etc...everybody thinks Belfort will be relegated, the question for this team is: will they demonstrate to everyone that they were wrong?
Rivalries: AS Vaud, Olympique de Fontvielle, AS Montreux
Fans: In Gatineau, fans do not seem to be loyal to their own local team, this could be attributed to their bad campaigns. People in Gatineau mostly follow either any team from Metropolis (Marinos, Alligators and/or Nacional), or any other team from the Foix state (mainly Bezieres, Fontvielle Impact and Vaud). However, Belfort's fanbase is small. Small but they exist. At least they do not play without any people at their stadium. There are at least some 500 noisy and loyal fans every two weeks at the Omnisports.
Prediction: 20th. RC Belfort have not formed a strong squad to play in this Super League. Although their players have talent, the pundits think Belfort will finish in last place, because there are other teams with stronger squads. The B-League 8 would be the return for Belfort to the second tier of valladar football.

SC CAIMANES: Ortega, Maicon, Jimenez, Kléver, Romero (C) - Lucio, Tiago Neves, Rosero, Anthony - Araújo, Souza
Full Name: Sport Club Caimanes
Nickname (s): "Os Jacarés" (The Alligators)
Stadium: Estádio Armando Bozzelli, Campo Grande, Chqiuito (Cap. 50,000)
Sponsor (s): Zoom, MediCare
Home Kit: Green shirt with details in black and black shorts
Away Kit: All white
Third/GK Kit: All red
Chairman: Josué Pereira
Coach: Ricardo Gomes
Some Facts about the Team: SC Caimames is the team from the second city in the Chiquito state, Campo Grande, and the natural rival for Chiquito FC. Caimanes is often considered the "Big" club from Chiquito, since their neighbours do not have as many titles as them. This team tends to be always fighting in the top of the standings, although they rarely manage to qualify for UICA competences. However, they were already taking part in a Champions' Cup, where they were quickly eliminated. After the last season, where they failed miserably to qualify to any international tournament, Caimanes is preparing their team to be stars of the Super League again. Caimanes tend to be an offensive team, controling the ball and attacking their rivals at every moment.
Rivalries: Chiquito FC, Metropolis Alligators, Tannenberg FC, AS Bezieres, Marinos Metropolis, Slateport Bulls
Fans: SC Caimanes have a strong fanbase, concentrated in Campo Grande, Chiquito, and some neighbourhoods in Metropolis. These fans are passionate, and very hostile towards referees and rival teams' fans. They do not hesitate to make angry claims when the referee makes decisions that may potentially affect their team. Caimanes' fans also like to form brawls with other teams' fans in national roads, when they travel to see Caimanes' game in another city.
Prediction: 9th. The pundits think Caimanes have set for this new season the same objectives Marinos set: try to recover their team after a disastrous season. Despite their board claim that Caimanes are ready to fight for the title, they feel the team is not still ready to fight for the top 5-6, besides, there are some teams with stronger squads than Caimanes. Surely, this will be a "recovering season" for Caimanes as well.

SLATEPORT BULLS: García - Tamayo, Jones, Lennon, Suárez - Arribagé, López, Quintero, Velasco, Herrera, Flórez (C)
Full Name: Slateport Bulls Football Club
Nickname (s): "The Bulls"
Stadium: Estadio de la Riviera, Slateport City, Eterna (Cap. 40,000)
Sponsor (s): BullRade, MediCare, Hydro
Home Kit: Blue shirt with details in red and blue shorts
Away Kit: White shirt with details in blue and white shorts
Third/GK Kit: All red
Chairman: Alexander Edwards
Coach: Leonard Gillet
Some Facts about the Team: Slateport Bulls is one of the best teams in Valladares, however, they are not considered as a "Big" team by the pundits, since they still lack of a title in the Super League. The "Bulls" are based in Slateport City, the third most important city in the Eterna state, however, their history and titles in the State Championship make them the second most important team in the Eterna state, after Eterna Stars. For this season, the "Bulls" need to get rid of that despicable nickname of "international jesters", given to them by Marinos Metropolis' fans, since their participations in UICA competitions have always been a disaster, and they are doing their pre-season looking for another qualification for the TQCC, and the title, if possible...
Rivalries: Eterna Stars, Marinos Metropolis, SC Caimanes, Fontvielle Impact, Tannenberg FC, Hamanos Athletic Club
Fans: Their fanbase is passionate and cheerful, based mainly in Slateport and its outskirts. They are always present at the Estadio de la Riviera, cheering their team with chants and harangues. Sometimes, they tend to provoke other teams' fans, specially Marinos' fans, with the idea of showing their hatred towards them. The rivalry between both fanbases is big, since both teams are trying to be considered as the "fourth Big team" in the nation.
Prediction: 4th. Slateport Bulls are not the same team that was runner-up in the Super League the last season. Some of their best players went to other teams, making their squad a bit weakened. This team seem able to give a shock to any of the "Big" teams, but the pundits do not really expect more than that.

TANNENBERG FC: Triviño - Carvalho, Chenney (C), Martínez, Alex - Rosero, Phillips, Taylor, Peterson - Ruíz, Pérez
Full Name: Tannenberg Football Club
Nickname (s): "The Citizens", "The Black and White", "The Knights", "The TFC"
Stadium: Olympic Stadium, Carloburgo, Mountbatten (Cap. 62,000)
Sponsor (s): Mountbatten Casino
Home Kit: White shirt with black vertical strips and black shorts
Away Kit: All green
Third/GK Kit: All yellow
Chairman: Gustavo Delima
Coach: Peter Selás
Some Facts about the Team: Tannenberg FC were champions of the Super League for the first time ever the last season. The "Citizens", one of the "Big" teams in Valladares were the only of them that had not won the Super League yet. Tannenberg is owned by a "giant" in the gambling enterprise in Valladares: Benjamin Burton, one of the richest men in the nation, whose company Mountbatten Casino is in judicial problems with the Parliament after they were trying to stop the implementation of a law that would affect their partnership to Tannenberg. This team is not only a historic team in the nation, Tannenberg have four players playing for the National Team, and they also have the best coach in the nation at the moment: Peter Selás, who helped them get their first title. This season could be the continuation of Tannenberg's reign, since the other teams have not brought sufficient reinforcements to make a bit interesting the fight for the title of the Super League.
Rivalries: Metropolis Alligators, Eterna Stars, Slateport Bulls, AS Bezieres
Fans: Tannenberg are one of the most popular teams in the nation, as 14.3% of the country's population support the club. Their fans are passionate, but they do not tend to feel themselves provoked by other teams' fans, like Bezieres' fans. Their love towards the team is demonstrated every week, as the Olympic Stadium is frecuently filled with 62,000 noisy local fans, cheering their team.
Prediction: 1st. As said before, Tannenberg have the best chances to retain their title, since their main rivals are weakened: Metropolis Alligators lost their best two players, and Eterna Stars are still in a "recovering process", after two disappointing seasons for them. Currently, the "Citizens" have the best team in the nation, and no one dares to discuss that, so they have the best odds to retain their crown in this season.

THE INAUGURAL SEASON: PART SIX

Copa Calania: Quarter Finals
Two things we know. One: it will be an all-Liga Calanian cup final, thanks to Emberton's win over Sporting Salicus. Two: it will be a Krytenia versus Starblaydia final, as the draw pits the Reds against United in Bromham, and the elves against Jhanna City in Corinth.

Results:
Jhanna City 3-2 FC Farça
Sporting Salicus 2-3 Emberton Reds
Avidia United 3-1 Iskara Daii
Telecontarë 3-1 Montepool Waves (aet; FT 1-1)

Matchday 30
Once again, Iskara Daii face up against a big side; once again, the Jhanna side craps out. Mercia Bromham were the side putting the boot in this time, with a two-nil home victory.

Elsewhere, Ousevale kept their winning run going, and with the Reds and Telecontarë both putting six past their opponents, the Daii drop to fifth.

Results:
Foxchester Raiders 1-3 Ousevale Borough
Jhanna City 1-1 Caledon Simpson
Avidia City 1-3 Corinthian Spirits
Casuals Osteria 2-2 Internashionale
Avidia United 3-2 Montepool Waves
Mercia Bromham 2-0 Iskara Daii
Malta Lines 0-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Telecontarë 6-1 FC Farça
Hallad Reavers 3-3 Tabeck FC
Notegia Rangers 2-6 Emberton Reds
Beckton Supermarine 2-3 Royal Emberton
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Stanton Town

Matchday 31
And this time it's Emberton's turn to slip up. They're beaten by Telecontarë, who go third. The elves still have ground to make up on leaders Ousevale, eleven points in front of them, who beat Tabeck one-nil at the Southern Arena.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 1-0 Tabeck FC
Caledon Simpson 0-3 FC Farça
Corinthian Spirits 1-4 Foxchester Raiders
Internashionale 1-2 Jhanna City
Montepool Waves 1-3 Avidia City
Iskara Daii 3-1 Casuals Osteria
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-2 Avidia United
Mercia Bromham 4-0 Malta Lines
Emberton Reds 1-3 Telecontarë
Royal Emberton 1-1 Hallad Reavers
Stanton Town 2-2 Notegia Rangers
New Cefn Albion 1-0 Beckton Supermarine

Matchday 32
Roll up, roll up, for the most one-sided Jhanna derby ever! Iskara Daii slammed Jhanna City to the floor, a six-nil drubbing keeping the Daii clear in fourth. Emberton Reds' defeat, meanwhile, was tempered by Avidia United losing to Malta Lines, keeping the gap between the sides at nine points.

Results:
Royal Emberton 1-5 Ousevale Borough
Emberton Reds 2-3 Caledon Simpson
Tabeck FC 1-1 Corinthian Spirits
FC Farça 1-4 Internashionale
Foxchester Raiders 1-2 Montepool Waves
Jhanna City 0-6 Iskara Daii
Avidia City 2-2 Cedrus Soundgardia
Casuals Osteria 1-3 Mercia Bromham
Malta Lines 1-0 Avidia United
Telecontarë 3-0 Stanton Town
Hallad Reavers 1-1 New Cefn Albion
Notegia Rangers 0-0 Beckton Supermarine

Matchday 33
And life just got interesting. Ousevale dropped two points off a cliff against New Cefn, and Mercia took full advantage. Telecontarë didnt, tying with Beckton "Twenty-Second" Supermarine, and Iskara Daii are now top of the Starblaydis in third, though still some ten points off the Tigers.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 2-2 New Cefn Albion
Caledon Simpson 0-1 Stanton Town
Corinthian Spirits 2-2 Royal Emberton
Internashionale 2-2 Emberton Reds
Montepool Waves 2-2 Tabeck FC
Iskara Daii 4-2 FC Farça
Cedrus Soundgardia 0-3 Foxchester Raiders
Mercia Bromham 5-0 Jhanna City
Avidia United 1-1 Avidia City
Casuals Osteria 1-1 Malta Lines
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 Telecontarë
Notegia Rangers 4-2 Hallad Reavers

Matchday 34
The top four all won again, so it's back to the race for fifth, and with Emberton Reds losing to the Daii, Avidia United cut the gap to sixth with victory over Foxchester Raiders. Ousevale's win over bottom side Notegia also means they are assured at least a Globe Cup spot - assuming Jhanna City don't win the Copa, of course.

Results:
Notegia Rangers 0-5 Ousevale Borough
Beckton Supermarine 1-1 Caledon Simpson
New Cefn Albion 0-3 Corinthian Spirits
Stanton Town 1-1 Internashionale
Royal Emberton 1-0 Montepool Waves
Emberton Reds 1-3 Iskara Daii
Tabeck FC 0-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
FC Farça 0-2 Mercia Bromham
Foxchester Raiders 2-3 Avidia United
Jhanna City 1-2 Casuals Osteria
Malta Lines 0-0 Avidia City
Telecontarë 3-1 Hallad Reavers

Matchday 35
Will the real Telecontarë please stand up? They looked very much the weaker side in their four-one drubbing at the hands of Ousevale, and are now four points behind the Daii.

In the battle for fifth, meanwhile, Emberton Reds were beaten by Mercia; luckily for them, though, United lost to Tabeck, and the gap remains at six.

Results:
Ousevale Borough 4-1 Telecontarë
Caledon Simpson 2-2 Hallad Reavers
Corinthian Spirits 4-0 Notegia Rangers
Internashionale 2-1 Beckton Supermarine
Montepool Waves 1-2 New Cefn Albion
Iskara Daii 3-0 Stanton Town
Cedrus Soundgardia 1-2 Royal Emberton
Mercia Bromham 4-0 Emberton Reds
Avidia United 1-2 Tabeck FC
Casuals Osteria 2-4 FC Farça
Avidia City 1-4 Foxchester Raiders
Jhanna City 0-2 Malta Lines

THE INAUGURAL SEASON: PART SEVEN

Matchday 36
We have a new leader! For the first time since Matchday Eleven, someone other than Ousevale are atop the Liga Calania. Step forward Mercia Bromham, who hammered Avidia United five-one; with Ousevale beaten by Corinthian Spirits, Le Lan's Midlanders are now two points clear of the pack.

The win was also good news for Emberton Reds and Casuals Osteria; Emberton are now eight points clear of sixth place, a position taken by Casuals after their victory over Caledon Simpson.

Results:
Cedrus Soundgardia 3-0 Stanton Town
FC Farça 3-0 Malta Lines
Caledon Simpson 2-3 Casuals Osteria
Emberton Reds 5-3 Hallad Reavers

Internashionale 3-0 Jhanna City

Matchday 37
It's official; Mercia Bromham and Ousevale Borough will be playing TQCC football next season. Both sides won, meaning that they can no longer be caught by the pack outside the current top five. Said pack has also had a reshuffle, with Foxchester now in sixth place after defeating rivals Avidia United; Casuals also lost, to Stanton Town.

Results:
Stanton Town 4-1 Casuals Osteria
Cedrus Soundgardia 0-0 Malta Lines
Hallad Reavers 3-2 FC Farça
Corinthian Spirits 0-0 Caledon Simpson

Foxchester Raiders 3-1 Avidia United
Iskara Daii 4-1 Notegia Rangers
Jhanna City 1-1 Avidia City
New Cefn Albion 2-1 Internashionale

Matchday 38
Montepool, the side who tend to win rarely, but win big games, have done it again. Their victory over Ousevale gave Mercia the chance to open the gap to five points, a chance duly taken by the Bromham side with victory over Emberton Reds. Telecontarë drew with the Daii in a game that does neither side any favours, whilst the Reds' defeat meant that Foxchester, New Cefn, Osteria, and Avidia United all got the chance to catch three points up on the team in the fifth TQCC spot.

Results:
Corinthian Spirits 3-2 Stanton Town
Hallad Reavers 0-2 Cedrus Soundgardia
Casuals Osteria 2-0 Malta Lines
FC Farça 2-2 Royal Emberton
Caledon Simpson 0-2 Tabeck FC
Emberton Reds 2-3 Mercia Bromham
Ousevale Borough 2-4 Montepool Waves
Beckton Supermarine 0-3 Foxchester Raiders
Telecontarë 0-0 Iskara Daii
Avidia United 3-2 Jhanna City
Notegia Rangers 0-4 New Cefn Albion
Internashionale 3-1 Avidia City

Matchday 39
They may be in the wrong half of the table, but Jhanna City know how to help themselves. They pulled a seven-nil victory out of thin air against Beckton, raising them to the heady heights of fifteenth.

In games that actually matter, meanwhile, Mercia beat Farça to keep the gap at the top at five points, Ousevale beat Iskara Daii to keep them second (and allow Telecontarë to steal third), and Emberton Reds were beaten by Foxchester, leaving that particular gap at just four points.

Results:
Stanton Town 4-2 Tabeck FC
Cedrus Soundgardia 2-4 Royal Emberton
Malta Lines 1-2 Corinthian Spirits
Casuals Osteria 0-2 Hallad Reavers
Mercia Bromham 4-2 FC Farça
Montepool Waves 3-1 Caledon Simpson
Foxchester Raiders 3-1 Emberton Reds
Iskara Daii 0-2 Ousevale Borough
Jhanna City 7-0 Beckton Supermarine
New Cefn Albion 2-4 Telecontarë
Avidia City 1-2 Avidia United
Notegia Rangers 3-1 Internashionale

Matchday 40
Well, it's a good day if you're in the top...eight, actually. Mercia? No problems against Cedrus. Ousevale? Beat New Cefn. Telecontarë? Easy win. Iskara? Beat Simpson. Emberton? Hammered Jhanna City. Foxchester? Five-two. Avidia United? Got past Inter in the end. Casuals? Beat the Royals.

As you were then. Nothing to see here.

Results:
Montepool Waves 2-3 Stanton Town
Mercia Bromham 3-1 Cedrus Soundgardia
Tabeck FC 1-0 Malta Lines
Royal Emberton 0-3 Casuals Osteria
Corinthian Spirits 2-0 Hallad Reavers
FC Farça 2-5 Foxchester Raiders
Caledon Simpson 1-2 Iskara Daii
Emberton Reds 6-0 Jhanna City
Ousevale Borough 4-1 New Cefn Albion
Beckton Supermarine 1-2 Avidia City
Telecontarë 2-0 Notegia Rangers
Internashionale 2-3 Avidia United

Matchday 41
Mercia's win over Casuals officially means Iskara Daii will not be champions; one more point assures a Krytenian club lifting the trophy at the end of the season. Ousevale beat Notegia, meanwhile, to ensure that the team in navy and white don't have it all their own way.

Results:
Stanton Town 0-1 Iskara Daii
Cedrus Soundgardia 3-2 Foxchester Raiders
Malta Lines 1-0 Montepool Waves
Casuals Osteria 1-3 Mercia Bromham
Hallad Reavers 1-1 Tabeck FC
Corinthian Spirits 1-0 Royal Emberton
Jhanna City 2-4 FC Farça
New Cefn Albion 4-1 Caledon Simpson
Avidia City 2-5 Emberton Reds
Notegia Rangers 2-5 Ousevale Borough
Avidia United 1-2 Beckton Supermarine

Season 24

The first season in which six top-flight clubs would have to play 11 extra games in the form of joint UICA qualifying with Liventian teams. Besides that, only one change to the rules this season, which is that the AFF Silver Trophy will regain its old form of the AFF Challenge Trophy beginning next season and revert to being a pre-season tournament. A new trophy, the AFF Silver Plate, will instead take the place of the current Silver Trophy. The Challenge Trophy will feature the winners of the Silver Plate, the AFF League Cup, and the United Islands Premier in a three-team group stage. If one team wins two of the three, it will be a simple two-legged affair, while if a team manages to win the domestic treble, they will be awarded the Challenge Trophy unconstested.

Amazingly, at the halfway stage of the season, two stalwarts of the Premier Division, County Stanley and CF Mont-Pluie, both found themselves in the relegation zone, with another one of their compatriots, Oldbridge City, only slightly better off in 14th. At the top, Hatton Town, who finished fifth last season, won the Silver Trophy to qualify for next season's Challenge Trophy.

Town's 11-point lead at the halfway stage only grew larger, as they lost only two games on the way to winning their first-ever title by 12 points from defending champions Mountbatten Junction. County Stanley — fourth last season — escaped their midseason relegation spot to finish mid-table in 8th, but multiple-time champions CF Mont-Pluie became the first former Premier Division champions relegated to the Second Division as they failed to save their season.

The five teams qualifying for the Joint Unification System Trial via the league are champions Hatton Town, runners-up Mountbatten Junction, third placed Tallyn Rovers, fourth placed Grand Arsenal and fifth placed Protectorate United. Sixth-placed Flitton Rangers, who won the AFF League Cup in an extra-time final, also qualify for JUST.

In the Second Division, both Dalinn Wanderers and Olympique Protectorat, once giants of the Ad’ihani game, finally secured their returns to the big time by finishing second and third behind another former top-flight team, South Barrier United. Tyoduuran team Raästur Council fail to present any real challenge in their first season out of the bottom flight and earn an immediate return back down.

Liventian Football League season 11

The Liventian Football League's two added teams to the Second Division last season, an Army United team representing the Liventian Army, and a combined representation team from the Liventian Navy and Air Force, have been made fully professional and are now allowed to buy and sell players freely, rather than being limited to servicemen from the three services.

HYDRO SUPER LEAGUE - SEASON SEVEN (PART I OF IV)

Apertura Tournament

MD1:

Eterna 1-1 Marinos
Olympique 1-0 Nord Energie
Alligators 3-1 Montreux

Hamanos 0-1 Nacional
Pumas 1-2 Vaud
Belfort 0-0 Chiquito
Cerro 2-1 Slateport
Canalave 1-0 Pradera
Bezieres 2-2 Tannenberg

In the first matchday of this season, most of the "Big" teams tied or lost. Eterna Stars and Marinos tied 1-1 in the first match of the season, the champions, Tannenberg, managed to get a point in Bezieres, a hard place for away teams, while Slateport Bulls lost in Cerro. Only Metropolis Alligators and Fontvielle Impact managed to win their respective matches. Among the three promoted teams, Olympique de Fontvielle and Vaud won their matches, while Belfort tied with Chiquito.

MD2:

Marinos 2-1 Bezieres
Nord Energie 0-2 Eterna
Montreux 0-0 Olympique
Fontvielle 2-3 Alligators
Nacional 1-2 Caimanes
Vaud 2-0 Hamanos
Chiquito 1-0 Pumas
Slateport 3-1 Belfort
Pradera 2-1 Cerro
Tannenberg 1-0 Canalave

Metropolis Alligators defeated Fontvielle Impact at the Stade de l'Amitié and with this victory, they command the Super League with 6 points in two matches. Eterna Stars, Marinos, Slateport Bulls and the defending champions, Tannenberg FC also won their respective matches. Pumas, Nord Energie and Hamanos have lost their two matches.

MD3:

Nord Energie 1-1 Marinos
Eterna 1-0 Montreux
Olympique 1-1 Fontvielle
Alligators 2-2 Nacional
Caimanes 3-0 Vaud
Hamanos 1-0 Chiquito
Pumas 1-1 Slateport
Belfort 2-1 Pradera
Cerro 1-2 Tannenberg
Bezieres 4-0 Canalave

The three "Big" teams are leading in the Super League after three matches, with 7 points each: Metropolis Alligators, Eterna Stars and Tannenberg FC. The Stars' victory over Montreux and the Citizens' victory in Cerro, added to the tie between Metropolis Alligators and the always complicated Nacional, make the three "Big" teams to be placed in the first three places. The "Derby du Fontvielle", contested for the first time in four years between the Impact and the Olympique had no winner, and Vaud lost their unbeaten streak in Campo Grande. AS Bezieres thrashed Canalave Dragons, thus starting to win their first matches in the Super League.

MD4:

Bezieres 2-1 Nord Energie
Marinos 1-0 Montreux
Fontvielle 1-1 Eterna
Nacional 2-1 Olympique
Vaud 1-1 Alligators
Chiquito 2-2 Caimanes
Slateport 0-0 Hamanos
Pradera 2-1 Pumas
Tannenberg 3-0 Belfort
Canalave 2-1 Cerro

No visiting team won on this matchday. Tannenberg is now in first place due to their 3-0 victory over RC Belfort, and Eterna's and Alligators' puntures with their draws in Fontvielle and Vaud, respectively. The Chiquito Derby between Chiquito and Caimanes and the Lake Derby between Slateport and Hamanos ended in draws, and Bezieres won their second match in a row. Three teams are in the last places with 1 point each one: Pumas, Nord Energie and Montreux.

MD5:

Nord Energie 1-0 Montreux
Marinos 0-1 Fontvielle
Nacional 3-1 Eterna
Olympique 3-1 Vaud
Chiquito 0-2 Alligators
Slateport 2-1 Caimanes
Hamanos 1-1 Pradera
Pumas 0-2 Tannenberg
Belfort 2-0 Canalave
Bezieres 0-0 Cerro

Tannenberg are still the sole leaders of the Super League, with 13 points and a victory in Maldonado. Metropolis Alligators are in second place, with 11 points, after their victory over Chiquito. Nacional, after a hard match, managed to defeat Eterna Stars and are in third place with 10 points. With their victory in Metropolis over Marinos, Fontvielle Impact managed to dispel some of the criticism from fans because of their poor performance in the Super League. In another important match in the day, Slateport Bulls got rid of Caimanes, beating them 2-1. Pumas and Montreux are still without any victory, with one point and are penultimate and last placed in the Super League after five matches.

MD6:

Montreux 0-1 Bezieres
Fontvielle 2-0 Nord Energie
Nacional 1-2 Marinos
Eterna 1-1 Vaud
Chiquito 2-1 Olympique
Alligators 2-0 Slateport
Pradera 1-2 Caimanes
Tannenberg 1-0 Hamanos
Canalave 1-1 Pumas
Belfort 0-2 Cerro

Tannenberg remained unstoppable and undefeated after their win over Hamanos AC, which allows them to continue as leaders for another week, with 16 points. In second place, and undefeated as well, we have Metropolis Alligators, who managed to defeat Slateport Bulls. Speaking of the Bulls, they are in tenth place, with only 8 points. Some people think a crisis will appear in Slateport Bulls if they do not get better results in the next matches. Eterna Stars continue to give away points, as Vaud managed to get a point from the Alain Tramontin Stadium, and Marinos defeated Nacional in another hard match. Due to Pumas' draw in Canalave City and Montreux's loss to Bezieres, Les Hérons are now in last place.

MD7:

Montreux 3-1 Fontvielle
Nacional 5-1 Nord Energie
Marinos 2-0 Vaud
Eterna 1-0 Chiquito
Olympique 0-1 Slateport
Pradera 0-2 Alligators
Caimanes 1-1 Tannenberg
Canalave 1-2 Hamanos
Pumas 1-0 Cerro
Bezieres 3-2 Belfort

Metropolis Alligators returned to the first place in the Super League after their victory over Pradera FC in Hamanos Town, and Tannenberg's draw in Campo Grande. Nacional thrashed Nord Energie FC, who are now in last place due to that shattering defeat. Bezieres, Marinos and Eterna Stars also won their matches and are escorting the leaders. And Montreux celebrated their first victory in the season, over Fontvielle Impact.

MD8:

Fontvielle 1-0 Bezieres
Montreux 0-2 Nacional
Nord Energie 1-0 Vaud
Chiquito 2-1 Marinos
Slateport 1-1 Eterna
Pradera 1-3 Olympique
Alligators 2-2 Tannenberg
Canalave 1-3 Caimanes
Cerro 2-0 Hamanos
Belfort 1-0 Pumas

The most important matches in this matchday ended with draws: Slateport Bulls and Eterna Stars tied, result which dooms the Bulls to remain in the ninth place, with 12 points, and far away from the leaders. Speaking of the leaders, in a thrilling match at the Metropolis Dome, the Alligators and Tannenberg tied 2-2, leaving both teams in the top of the standings with 18 points (Metropolis Alligators are in first place due to goal difference). In another edition of the always heated Derby du Foix, Fontvielle Impact defeated their arch-rivals AS Bezieres, and Nord Energie managed to get out of the last place in this Super League with their victory over Vaud.

MD9:

Nacional 1-0 Fontvielle
Vaud 2-1 Montreux
Nord Energie 1-0 Chiquito
Marinos 1-3 Slateport
Eterna 3-0 Pradera
Olympique 0-2 Tannenberg
Canalave 1-1 Alligators
Caimanes 1-1 Cerro
Hamanos 2-0 Belfort
Bezieres 1-0 Pumas

Tannenberg are sole leaders of the Super League again, after their victory over the Olympique de Fontvielle, and the Alligators' draw in Canalave City. With their third victory in a row, Nacional are closer to the top of the standings, and escort the leaders along with Metropolis Alligators, with 19 points. The "Blue Derby" between Marinos and Slateport Bulls ended with another victory for the "Bulls", and Eterna and Bezieres managed to win their matches. Vaud sank Montreux in the last place after beating them 1-0.

MD10:

Nacional 1-1 Bezieres
Fontvielle 3-0 Vaud
Chiquito 1-2 Montreux
Slateport 1-0 Nord Energie
Pradera 1-1 Marinos
Tannenberg 1-2 Eterna
Canalave 2-0 Olympique
Alligators 1-2 Cerro
Belfort 0-0 Caimanes
Pumas 1-0 Hamanos

After 10 matches, the defending champions Tannenberg FC are leading the Super League with 21 points. Peter Selás has demonstrated his skills as coach with the team from the second most important city in the nation, winning a title and forming the best and strongest team in the nation, for the moment. In second place, we have Nacional, a traditional team present in the Super League since the last season, who are doing an outstanding campaign in this Super League as well. After them, in third, fourth and fifth place we have Metropolis Alligators, AS Bezieres and Eterna Stars, strong teams and contenders for this Apertura title as well. The fight for the Apertura title seems to be thrilling and hot between these five teams. In the bottom of the standings, Pumas Maldonado, Pradera FC and AS Montreux have to improve many things if they do not want to be under relegation danger during the upcoming Clausura.

Sportgirls National League
INAUGURAL SEASON

Sportgirls have recently elected to abandon their experiment with an all-sport national team, and instead commit extra resources to establishing a domestic professional circuit. Existing national team members were seeded amongst the five squads for the first season, selected to represent five districts of the nation. However, since the entire country is essentially a small city-state with some extra agricultural lands outside the walls all matches are played at the Queen Ingebjørg Stadium near the city centre.

5 Greenfield 16 2 5 9 12 23 -11 11

TQCC qualifiers: North Ward.
Globe Cup qualifiers: Harbour Town, Commercial, Palace.

(OOC: Yes, we know they can technically send two to TQCC. But it just wouldn't seem right to qualify the whole league.)

CAFUNDELENSE LEAGUE - HALFWAY OF THE LEAGUE

19 games played - a view on the Primeirona and Segundona

Once again we have prepared a report to talk over the first half of the top two divisions of Cafundelense league, the Primeirona and Segundona. The recent seasons have showed that, with the exception of some cases in which the difference on points is already really big, the position a team occupies after nineteen games is hardly an assurance that the team will end the competition in the approximate zone of the league. And of course this is understandable, as for example the leader is always under pressure from the other clubs, which at the halfway point are usually just one win away from taking the lead. Same goes for international competitions' zones and the 2nd Phase's, which are always disputed by several teams with good squads and which have all the chances to get higher... or lower. And who could forget the battle against relegation... in this one, sometimes we have cases in which a teams does really badly in the first nineteen games, and recovery becomes difficult, but it usually follows the other examples. So let's check the Primeirona first. The favourite team is Petardos S/A, winner of the previous two seasons.

As for the other contenders, the major focus was on the other teams of the so-called Elite Four: Cafundó do Juta, Atlético Jutense and Dunboor FC. Usually considered the weakest of those three, Dunboor's popularity grew a lot with the titles of the Globe Cup and of the Prince Regent's Cup, and some betting sites were putting the Northern Lions as the second favourite team for the league. Apart from the four, Porto Lacruz could be seen as having chances, but not many were confident on that... and the halfway standings helped to defeat any possible confidence for the Praianos. In the tables you see below, Cafundó do Juta is with the lead, although tied in points with América. It is no surprise to see the team from the capital in first, as they have an excellent squad and are always fighting for titles... they can well keep this position. But América's presence as second is a surprise. Most consider América a top eight club, but to see the Devils in second and pressing the leaders wasn't expected. Even though people predict they won't hold the position much longer, many discuss if they have what it takes to keep themselves in the TQCC zone. It's a strong possibility.

19 Internacional 19 2 8 9 22 35 -13 14
20 Serrano 19 0 7 12 22 48 -26 7

So let's talk about all the position battles, from top to bottom. Atlético Jutense's appearance in the third position is a sign that the team really means business, and are going to give work for their main rivals: even though it was expected for them to be in this position, it would be behind Petardos, not América. But if the good performance of the Lasft Devils was already impressive, the identity of the fourth positioned team would be considered a joke if we had not presented the standings: Eldorado. Just promoted from the Segundona, without a top squad, but in the TQCC zone with fifty percent of the matches played. With thirty-four points, they are practically as close of the lead as close of the international competitions' limit. Quite a feat. At the Globe Cup positions, there are two teams tied in points, but the number of wins helps another team from Lasft to be ahead of its opponent: SC Lasft brings another surprise, as it's been a long while since the team actively fights for the highest spots in the Primeirona. Clube Comercial is doing a solid job, and a position in the top eight will surely be welcomed by the fans, as they have made some big signings.

I bet you noticed that we have already told about América and SC Lasft's positions... so what about the other team from the Lasft state, the most successful team of Cafundelense history and current champions? They are out of the international competitions right now, at an embarassing seventh position. Nine points away from the leaders, the situation of Petardos S/A is awful right now considering the aspirations of the supporters and of the directors. A failure of the team to reach the TQCC will result in the worst season of the team's history. Of course, there's still plenty of time for them to recover, and with the squad they have it's likely this will happen. But, if after nineteen games they are in seventh, why they can't stay there after more nineteen? Oh wait, before we talk about the lower position we must also note the team which concludes the current top eight... Dunboor FC, the Globe Cup champions. Surely the second most disapponting campaign right now after Petardos S/A, at least they are already guaranteed a place at the next Globe Cup... but after being praised so much for the titles won, surely the fans were expecting a better job.

Going to the lower parts of the table, we see the teams fighting to reach the top eight, and win a position to the Second Phase. Some big names appear there: especially A.F.F. and Porto Lacruz, the later having a frustrating campaign after some good ones in previous editions. But another huge surprise awaits in the battle against relegation: it is true that the team is just a single point away from the first club out of the red zone, but the Sarrafeiros of Ranca Toco are among the last positioned teams of the Primeirona! Remember that, at this same point last season, they were leading the entire competition. This time their second half must be the opposite of last season's if they want to escape, but few really believe they are not going to make it. As for the other clubs, many are surprised by the fact that Clube Imperial is at risk, but it's been a long time since they were fighting for titles. Cruzeiro do Sul and Internacional were expected to do reasonably well, but now face a tough reality. Even worse situation for Serrano, a team which was waiting to be comfortable at the intermediate positions but had a horrible, awful, abysmal first half: no wins and they're already seen as relegated by the experts.

Last, we must talk about the other dispute that always happens during the Primeirona, which involves individuals rather than the teams: the dispute for the prizes. Best player, best coach, top goalscorer... right now the coaches who are being praised the most for their results are Andreas Gilsoweller Veiga of Cafundó do Juta and Edgar Gastão of América, as after all they are leading the entire competition. But surely no one should forget Connor Mengucci, coach of Eldorado: one that puts a recently promoted team in the top four deserves to be praised for his work. If Mengucci keeps the good games, he may well take the trophy home, unless Gastão wins the title, as an América title would be seen as a better job than an Eldorado TQCC result... well, the people voting for the prizes surely have their own reasons to think this way. As for the goalscorer, Matt Lynch of Cafundó do Juta is currently leading, but the difference is really small and his main adversaries can overtake him in the near future: the Vanorian international Fresco and Smait Pembace are just examples, but the battle is still very open and more names can put their names in the list of top goalscorers.

As for best players, the halfway point of the league is a good moment to narrow down the list of the contenders: this is because a player who doesn't perform well in the first nineteen games surely won't win the title in the end... well, unless the player takes his club to the title single-hand. In this season, the midfielders seem to be taking the advantage by making good performances, with Cafundelenses also doing somewhat better than the foreigners in this position. Right now the favourite is midfielder Nico Lewton of América, with many people condemning Waldenyr Caldas' decision of letting him out of the World Cup squad. Luisinho of Cafundó do Juta is also receiving good comments, with Marco Aurélio and Ogus Kures of Atlético Jutense joining the dispute. And, why not, consider two Cafundelense players who are doing wonders for Eldorado: Paraíba and Turco. Although not midfielders, two other players of Cafundó do Juta may be close to the trophy: attacker Matt Lynch and the always solid goalkeeper Fernández Montes. As for the other clubs, it's unlikely that one of their players will win it if they don't react fast... but names like Laborious Hawk are always to be considered.

About the Segundona, there aren't as many surprises as in the Primeirona, although one can argue that this happens because there are no clearly favourites or worst teams in the division: most have approximate quality levels, and the number of teams able to dispute the title or to get relegated is big. But no one could deny that the two clubs that are in the top positions of the league after the first nineteen games are the two teams which were the favourites to be promoted and fight for the trophy since the start: Rio Bonito and Bandeirantes. These are the two that have, accordingly to many experts, squads that could do a fine job at the Primeirona, and anything less than the promotion for them would be really disappointing. Well, they are doing what they are intended to do, then, as they share the top positions of the league with a good advantage over their opponents. The two best goal differences and the two best attacks only add to the point that these clubs are in a higher level when compared to the others, and if the season ends with another team winning the Segundona it'll impress all the followers of the division.

19 Tabajara 19 4 6 9 21 31 -10 18
20 Sambarilove 19 4 4 11 24 31 -7 16

Of course the entire competition isn't only about the two sides. After all, there are four promotion places and four relegation ones. In third, we have Metropolitano, another club believed to get promoted at the end of the season. But in the Astari club's case, its advantage over the teams behind it is small, and all the teams up to the 10th placed can take its position with a single win... damn, that's exactly what we've just written: every club, from the fourth to the tenth placed, is only three points away from the Immediate Promotion Zone! Including famous clubs like São Jorge and Khalmar-Tijhus and less popular ones like Varzeano and Nacional Cruz. So, the Second Division is being extremely competitive, and the fight for promotion and for a top eight position, as the Second Phase gives the last promotion spot, is extremely heated and will probably end only in the last rounds. Few experts have got the courage to make predictions over the third automatically promoted club or the fourth one... hey, even a team in the relegation zone right now can be able to reach the automatic promotion, just ten points separates them!

And this small difference between the positions in points also makes the fight against relegation big, involving several nations. As much as a nation like Palestra can reach promotion after some games, Metropolitano can get closer to relegation too. The only thing is that the number of clubs in real high risk of getting relegation is smaller than the number of the ones close to the promotion, but it doesn't make the dispute less exciting. Real Jaçanã might be hopeful in getting a second phase place as they are just five points behind, but at the same time they must take care to not fall enough in the standings to be in danger of getting relegated, as they are just two points ahead. As for the clubs already in the zone, Sambarilove is in the uglier situation six points behind Engenheiro Peres. But none of the four clubs was considered a favourite for the title or even promotion, so there is not a big surprise in the current standings regarding this fact. As a last note, after seeing the tables of both the top divisions of Cafundéu, some even suggested that the Segundona was more exciting than the Primeirona... what do you think?

Daiden Football League

What a hectic off-season its been. New League structures, international competitions, trying to find 24 new teams to fit aforementioned league structure, trying to organise a cup structure, oh and a new (well, the first actually) sponsor, in Daiden Kit Storefront, as well as trying to keep up with many, many transfers.
Talking about transfers, here are the main ones:

Matthew Barnett from Nile Bridge to Sparta U Gladiators (Kalasion)
Jessica Day from Sparta U Gladiators (Kalasion) to Nile Bridge
Sameer Ahmad from VLC FC to Cleopatrana FC (Deleclava)
Digby Lavala from Stonedeer City (Glynorhan) to VLC FC
Dimitar Klitschko from Lamarckists to Seniors FC (both EL)
Vernon Rogers from Real Santa Catalina (The Babbage Islands) to Lamarckists
Jake Wyman and Cara Addams from Poter Island Scruffs (Kalasion) to Forest Rangers
Matt Mott from Nuke Brickbreakers (Kalasion) to Forest Rangers
Andrew Taylor from Miniq Boots (Kalasion) to Lake Inkhold WSC
Stanley Farr from Altarus FC (Kalasion) to Norrion Rovers
Thomas O'henly from St. Bartholomews Wanderers to Salaga (Queer Poco el Mono Ara)
Fernandinho from Junipa Athletic (Osarius) to St. Bartholomews Wanderers

The new league system consists of 20 teams in three divisions, playing each other twice. UICA Qualification is as follows:

TQCC: Winner of Premier League, Winner of King's Commonwealth Cup (if same, then cup runner-up is awarded second TQCC place)
GC: 2nd and 3rd place in Premier League automatically qualify, the winner of the Daiden Premier Division Cup, the runner-up of the King's Commonwealth Cup, and 4th and 5th in the Premier Division have a playoff for the final spot (provided they are different teams)(will get messy if one team manages Domestic Treble, so each case will be decided induvidually)
SBCC: Top three in SBCC will qualify, along with Second Division Cup winner (other cases to be decided induvidually)
