Each state has a different license plate design and, depending on the state's population, different amount of digits. The system of digits used is 0000 - AAA, with 6 digits for less populated states and 8 digits for higher ones.

Cars are so few in TurtleShroom, that the country does not have a license plate system enforced. However, they contracted a private company to do it themselves. The company has to share the license plate with the state, for police identification.




The bus system has a different licensing system, issued by the bus companies.

based on the old 1983-2001 UK reg plate system, the first letter represents the year, the second the reg number and the last two letters denoting the place of registration, this system was adopted on 1st January 1999 and replaced the old suffix letter system based on the 1963-1982 UK system. Under the suffix system the first two/three letters denoted place of registration, the three numbers the reg number, and the last letter the year.


An example of a 1972-1998 style number plate, this example is a 1982 number plate for a car that was registered in North Sunset Island.

Each subdivision (provinse, region, and territory) has its own identifier logo and code on the far-left blue strip. Each subdivision also has a unique divider symbol, such as the circle for Haven Provinse shown above. Federally owned vehicles, mostly owned by the national government, use the BX identifier code & the generic ten-point star logo. Vehicles registered for Haven Province (not Haven Provinse) have their own set of identification different from Beiluxia's. The blue identifier strip is optional in many cases, though most provinses require the divider symbol.

The part of the plate that says "Beverrayin" is where the district goes. District is determined by what major city is closest to you. For instance, if you live in Khuelvaik (a tiny rural village), you are approx. 3 miles from Glacio and 20 miles from Beverrayin. So your license plate will read "Glacio."

In a nutshell, license plates in New Austzeland are similar to the ones of Russia, except each region has their name on top of the license plate number.

The numbers go from 0000 to 9999 and the letters AAA to ZZZ (not including Q, for its similarity to O).

Those are the registration plate styles for vehicles in Drakadia. The rectangle at the beginning denotes the type of vehicle. The three shown are in order; Civilian, Police and Civil Defense. The first three numbers show the year and period of registration for the vehicle. In this example, 141 means in the first six months of 2014. (142 would mean the last six months of 2014)

The letters declare which region the vehicle was registered in. There are only two regions in the country, which mean the only possible letter combinations are SD and ND (South Drakadia and North Drakadia).

The last set of numbers can range from one to six digits and is usually the cars position in line to be registered that half. (IE, it resets every half, meaning the first car to be registered in South Drakadia in July will receive the plate "142 - SD - 1")
