The Hyfling Federal Government has decided it would like to expand international diplomatic relations, we therefore, warmly invite you to engage in the exchange of embassies with our great nation. Hyfling, officially the Corporatocracy of Hyfling is a country encompassing the continent of Hyfling, the two large islands of Temma and Orford, and numerous smaller islands; A total land area of 13 million square kilometers. Some large neighboring countries include Bar vista, Blackwater harbor and Ormill.
The massive land mass was solely inhabited by a relatively small population of Native Hyflingians. Up until in 1672, when the land was first discovered by the Empire of Bar Vista, and later in 1679 and 1981, when land was claimed by Ormill and Blackwater Harbour respectively. The new country was made up of no less than 7 different self governing dominions, owned by each of the Crown Lands. The dominions were combined into one 1694, and the entire continent of Hyfling was handed over to Bar Vista as a colony.

Hyfling was initially colonised by settlers from the Crown Lands, but became an independent republic in 1782.

Hyfling is a highly developed, modern capitalist country with a high standard of living. Despite fears of a fall in industrial output in the 1950s, it remains one of the worlds largest growing manufactures due to a dual-effort from companies and the federal government. The economy is fueled by Hyfling's vast natural resources and cheap, plentiful electricity provided by an ongoing hydro and nuclear-industrialisation effort. Hyfling has a GDP of 107 trillion credits and the government has a budget of 23 trillion credits and a very low inflation rate of 0.69%. Hyfling is a foremost economic producer with high economic growth across the board.

The origination of the name, Hyfling, is unknown. But it is sometimes believed to come from the ancient Ormillion word, Hyfi, which means 'vast' or 'wilderness', some of the original explorers of Hyfling may have named it this because of it's gigantic, seemingly never-ending coastline. A 'corporatocracy' is a usually negative term for a government controlled by corporations or coporate interests. In Hyfling's case, the term is used for a government that tries to adhere to the corporate structure, the government does indeed act as a corporation, departments and agencies are segments of the governing conglomerate and the taxpayers are both the shareholders and customers.

Really it is simply a type of government organisation, while most are bureaucratic in nature, Hyfling's government attempts to be corporate in nature, the government itself is actually closer to a federal democratic republic of sorts.

Inhabitants of Hyfling are known as Hyflingians with the colloquial slang term being Flyngos.

Blackwater, North Hyfling

Blackwater is the third largest city in Hyfling. It is considered to be the economic capital of the nation and the Industrial Engine of the North, producing a large amount of Hyfling's manufactured goods. Cars, ships, planes, engines, major appliances, electronics, steel and smelted metals. Blackwater has the largest GCP of all the cities of Hyfling.

It was founded by the now defunct Empire of Blackwater Harbor, a once mighty trading city that rivaled Venice's peak. Place your embassy here for maximum exposure to Hyfling's growing economy.

Yonwood, Hyfling Capital District

Yonwood is a relatively young city, but an exquisite one nonetheless. Located in the Hyfling Capital District, a region created entirely to house the capital city, Yonwood is the 16th largest city Hyfling. It is home to the federal government, with the CEOs place of residence, the Hyfling Capital Building (where the government sits) the Military Headquarters and the Central Bank all being located in this fair city. Popular with the tourists, the city derives most of it's money from the service and government sector, though it does have a rapidly growing technology sector.

It was founded to provide a home for the government in 1899. Place your embassy here for diplomatic and political purposes, as well as quick and close information from the government.

Green River, West Hyfling

Green River, so named because of a seasonal algal bloom that dyes the city's river green, is one of the older cities in Hyfling, and easily the wealthiest. Known for it's beauty, the city is home to Hyfling's elite, with an economy derived from film, television education and high-tech research and development. Being host to the nations largest tech companies, Hyfling's best electronics are made here, the city is also a very popular tourist destination for those willing to spend a little extra cash.

Green River was founded quite early in Hyfling's colonial history by a group of enterprising fishermen. Place your embassy here to be close to Hyfling's wealthy, great and enlightened.

Stratton, Murchison

Stratton is the largest, and second oldest, city in Hyfling. Due to consecutive waves of immigration, the city is highly multicultural, similar to New York or Melbourne. It is the cultural capital of Hyfling, though is often considered to be the 'Blackwater of the West', due to its powerful industrial sector. Though it also has a sizable film and television industry, producing some of Hyfling's most critically acclaimed films, all of the country's major studios have an operation here. Stratton also has a big cafe culture, and is known for its art, food and music.

Founded second only to Double Bay as an administrative capital for the colony of Murchison. Place you embassy here if culture and tourism are your thing.

Any ambassador/s entering Hyfling will be issued a Yellow Card (ambassador/diplomatic level) which will grant them citizen (green card) privileges, while remaining a citizen of their native country. All ambassador/s will be expected to listen to police (blue card), military (red card) and government (black card) instructions, which they will be expected to follow. Any other emergency and medical services will be provided at the embassy building or court of residence. During states of emergency, ambassadors will be treated as low level members of government and will be treated as such.

All ambassadors, diplomatic staff, service staff and security staff will be provided food, water and electricity free of charge, however, they will be expected to accommodate themselves, whether it be in the actual embassy or elsewhere in Hyfling.

Any and all objects, vehicles and weapons brought into the country will be inspected for reasons of national security. Criminal acts by embassy staff will lead to detainment or fine and provision of prisoner (grey card) status, depending on the crime, foreign governments may provide bail or negotiate release depending on the severity of the crime. Ambassador/s will be granted diplomatic immunity, but the Government of Hyfling retains the right to expel ambassador/s for any given reason.
