I think it might actually be a good move for cultural education, however there is the prevalent fact that Russia could use this to misinform the Russian populace quite a good deal.

Company of Heroes II was withdrawn from the market by its publisher. As far as I can tell, this is the first statement the government has made on the matter, the previous actions being due to (reasonable, in my opinion,) outcry against the content of the game. Showing Russian soldiers burning civilians alive in their own country, machine gunning their own people and generally being incompetent to an impossible degree is kind of offensive.

The only call of duty games I would say aren't horribly pro-American are the World war 2 ones.
