Yoshi and Katya apparently think it's normal to ignore unusual noises and Luce talking to what seems from their POV to be thin air.

I'm going to have SO much fun with them in the disaster event. For the less comedic ones, fair and only warning - I will kill chars if they don't pay attention.

Yes, but not his talking to "thin air", i.e. Denise the statue who is outside the couple's field of vision. Yoshi is a journalist. Journalists love to ask questions, even above the average. And the average person would, upon seeing someone apparently talking to thin air, at least wonder what the heck is wrong with him.

My main point is, there's this whole world outside of Yoshi and Katya, but they're not venturing outside of it. Everything is Yoshi and Katya and tangentially Dora and even more tangentially Ogoti and Jacob and Ozzall and even more tangentially still Mrs Dimitrov. Those two are trapped in this little heart-shaped bubble where everything is pink and happy and unicorns vomit rainbows and shit butterflies. Yoshi has been killed many times. He's been murdered and they still don't know who did it. For all they know it could be Luce himself. And if they don't know where the danger is coming from, a guy standing there talking to "thin air" would look mighty suspicious. And that's just one of the directions they could go in.

There are plenty of other characters to interact with.

Okay... here's my attempt to explain. I'm not picking on Torsi or Urran. It's just a means for people to become aware of a new skill.

In RP, everything in a post counts. Everything. Never write something that doesn't have significance unless it's being done as a joke to shatter the fourth wall. Players put things in to their post that are necessary for advancement of a plot, moment, story etc.

Fourth Wall Humor example: Cer's zinger about the mailboxes and his stuffing the coffee cup inside as a personal jab between us regarding where I put the eggs one morning.
Example of Necessary Information: Cer describing the setting for the girls and mentioning the whack-a-mole game and the clown. That's a tip-off that shit ain't right and for the player to be wary of those things.

Yoshi and Katya are floating in their environment. They're not grounded to it. They're reacting to each other but not to the world. In some cases, they're even reacting to character motivation description.

Odd Reaction Example: Katya thinking about her mother and Yoshi thinking about the woman in the very next post with no tie/trigger/common moment that would cause that mutual shared thought.

What we have is a failure to communicate!
Tilt posted that odd sounds were coming from another room. He also posted that Luce was talking to a statue. This isn't comic fluff. He's attempting to drop clues or introduce something that players should be aware of. When going to a new place, always pay attention to description. When interacting with other players (and when writing your own posts), look at the environment as well as emotional/verbal responses.

You could say, "Well, we're in the middle of a scene!" Yeah... it's emotional masturbation between two players and it could be paused and picked up again later (just like in real life). When sitting in another player's "scene" (in this case another character's apartment), it's rude to not acknowledge stuff. There's a reason Tilt brought them to that apartment, and the reason wasn't just so Yoshi and Katya could coo on the couch as they worked out personal issues.

Drama Overload!
It's good that Katya and Yoshi are talking things out. It's bad to do it at the expense of everything else. Guys, the only ones enjoying the drama conversation are the ones writing it. This stuff should be a collab. Why? Because it's very short dialog posts no bearing on anything else and it "floats" without being grounded in scene. Collabs are ideal for this sort of thing, plus you can tweak it before publication.

We're going into a series of serious events soon. The smallest detail matters. Failure to post that you acknowledge it in some fashion means that your character overlooked that detail. Literally. The down-turned hand you didn't notice was then brought up to fire a spring-released revolver in your face. The walls closing in do more than just make you feel cramped - they snatch you in the very next post and you see the words (OOC: make a new character). Remember Crucible? Prim's team almost died because they forgot to post that anyone was keeping watch.

Players try to incorporate other players in their plots but you guys (there's a bunch of you doing it) are just ignoring all the stuff around you. It's very frustrating.
