Overview and History
The Kreidberg International Aerospace-port, known also as Bager International Airport after the national leader President Helga Sigilind Bager, has been continuously active since 1920. Being a small and isolated nation, air transport has been the main connection between Aeland and the rest of the world since then. In World War II, Bager International Airport was used by Allied air forces as a stopover between Europe and America. It became one of the world's busiest airports, with over 500 supply and fighter airplanes landing daily, sometimes. WWII also had a major economic influence on Kreidberg, as serving high amounts of soldiers and aircraft required lots of employees - at the time, the airport's island became a crowded tent city with bars, clubs and even cinemas.
As the war ended, much less people were required to operate the quiet airport, and many of the wartime employees were assigned to build a new terminal hall and better runways. By 1955, Kreidberg became one of the world's safest and most passenger friendly airport. Its services made it an attractive stopover for airlines operating transatlantic flights - at the time, most airliners couldn't fly across the Atlantic Ocean without a stop, and Kreidberg International received dozens of weekly cargo and passenger flights.
Many passengers stopping in Kreidberg in the middle of their journey also visited Aeland itself for a few days, which created a major boost to local tourism and economy. Aeland highly developed its hotels and services, and nature which was harmed in mining during the centuries was restored in one of the world's most impressive renewal processes. In the 1960s and 1970s, Aeland won various environmental prizes and many experts from around the world came to learn how renewal was done.
The 2001 Collapse, when in one week the Æ Krona lost 90% of its value and 6 local banks declared bankruptcy, causing most government services to crash, highly influenced Kreidberg International. Tourism to Aeland stopped almost completely as violence spread around the nation, and the airport almost completely ceased operations.

(OOC: next are explained the airport's PMT features, if your nation is MT you can simply ignore these and use it as a normal airport)
During the years 2035 - 2041, the Bager International Airport had a major renovation. Its runways were extended, terminals were renewed, a fast train line was built, making the 6.5km journey to Kreidberg city last less than a minute, and most notably, a space elevator and dock were built, allowing large spaceships to use it without entering the atmosphere, saving vast amounts of energy. Another interesting addition to the airport was a restored old Viking ship, which is placed just near the space elevator, and can be visited by passengers.
Aelandic government decided to pour major funding into the airport, hoping to return it to the times when it was a major airport, even in an international scale. Kreidberg International Aerospace-port now offers some absolutely unique services not offered by any other airport in the world, and regular services are provided at the highest quality and reliability.
Æland now announces the opening of the Kreidberg International Aerospace-port for both air and space traffic, aiming not only to increase traffic to the nation itself, but also provide a major hub for passengers travelling from Earth to space and the other way around.

Unique LuggaRoboTM - New locally developed "SLS" automatic landing system, allowing safe landing in most weather condition.
- Fast train services to Kreidberg every ten minutes during day and every half an hour during nights. Journey time: 56 seconds.
- Recently renewed terminal (E), can handle up to fifty aircraft and spaceships per hour.
- Space terminal (S) at an altitude of 361km, can handle up to ten grand spaceships (10,000 passengers) simultaneously.
- Space elevators offer connection between the air terminal and the space terminal. Journey duration is 10 minutes, and each elevator has a capacity of 250 passengers with luggage (200 seating and 50 standing).
- Fast luggage handling by the LuggaRoboTM - first bags arrive 6.5 minutes after departure (10 minutes in the space terminal).
- Efficient ground crews made of both robots and human employees. Turn around time in Terminal E is up to 10 minutes for small aircraft (1-150 passengers), 25 minutes for medium aircraft (up to 250 passengers) and 40 minutes for large aircraft (up to 700 passengers). In Terminal S, spaceships are prepared at a rate of 50 seats per minute. Our cleaning method allows passengers seating in some rows to board their flight while other rows are still being cleaned, reducing waiting time to a minimum.
- Kreidberg is an Zero-Footprint Aerospace port. Transportation is a polluting business, but we minimise damage to the Earth by using only electricity originating from renewable sources. Apart for machinery and lighting systems, airport ground vehicles are electric too.
- Electronic signs with directions in Ælandic, English and a selection of 60 other languages, depending on next departures and landings, as well as ground staff speaking a variety of languages ensure no one gets lost and minimize delays.
- Location in an island separate from the city allows operations around the clock without interrupting citizens' rest, making the Aerospace-port more cost efficient for carriers.
- Free WiFi coverage in all terminal halls.
Surveillance cameras cover
the whole airport
While not all security measures can be revealed, it can be told that KAPU operates patrol ships around the Aerospace port, and has some helicopters and a spaceship ready for use in case of emergency. Surveillance cameras cover the whole airport, including high resolution cameras installed on the Space Elevator tube, allowing a bird's eye view of the area.
To reduce risks, most security checks for passengers are done before passing the bridge to Kreidberg International Aerospace-port itself, making it a hazard-free area. Security checks include X-ray scanning of bags, body scan (and check, if necessary), gunpowder and explosives smell detectors, and other measures if necessary.
Royal Lounge
We try to make every passenger's stay in our Aerospace-port not just a necessary stop, but a great experience. Some enjoy a good meal in one of the many restaurants spread around both terminals, while others prefer duty-free shopping. However, some passengers - especially businessmen and diplomats, but also frequent flyers, elderly travellers and others, just want to chill in a comfy chair with a glass of fine wine in their hand.
The Royal Lounge is where these passengers can spend the time before their flight. In the fourth floor of Terminal E building, with great views of landing and taking off aircraft, this is a relaxing area. Just have a sit and wait for one of the many stewards to hand you a glass of wine, some whisky, hand-made chocolate pralines, or a fine cigar (in smoking areas only).
Our friendly staff are waiting for you in the Royal Lounge
Entry to the Royal Lounge is free for Premium passengers flying with any airline and Business passengers flying with airlines that accept Kreidberg Points, upon the display of a boarding pass, and costs $5 NSD for Business passengers flying with non-member airlines. Economy class passengers may enter it for a $15 NSD fee, and Loyal Passengers can enter for 25 Kreidberg Points. This is a Quiet Zone, therefore entry is only allowed for passengers older than fifteen years.

Terminal E
Terminal E (aka "Earth") is Kreidberg International's main and busiest. It can handle up to 250,000 daily passengers in over 500 flights. Shops, restaurants and hotels make waiting passengers' time pleasant. It is important to know that Terminal E handles not only aircraft, but also spaceships which can land in the normal aircraft runways. Terminal E was designed for maximal comfort before flights. It has over 7,500 chairs and recliners, so everyone has a place to sit.

Passengers enter their flight or the terminal through the unique "Kreidberg Model" aero-bridges, which allow simultaneous entry and exit from up to three doors (depending on aircraft and spaceship model): business and first, economy front rows and economy back rows. This reduces boarding and disembarking time by up to 35%. All gates are accessible by wheel chairs and strollers.
Shops and Restaurants:
- CuppaCoffee (2x double lot) - specialises in the sale of beverages, offering a wide variety of coffee and tea that are produced all over the world, but also sells an extensive selection of lunchtime foods and snacks.
- Infinitis Jewels (single lot).
Terminal S
At an altitude of 361 kilometres above sea level, Terminal S ("Space") is an example of Aeland's innovative engineering. Among the only few space ports above earth, Terminal S allows massive spaceships to make quick visits to Earth, without having to risk damages to the hull during the descent through the atmosphere and without having to use vast amounts of energy to take off. Large anti-radiation shaded windows provide a magnificent view downwards towards the earth, and towards the moon and sun, depending on their position. Looking towards the dark side passengers can see millions of stars that can't be seen from inside the atmosphere.
The terminal's curly shape fits most standard spaceships, allowing direct connection between spaceship doors (usually up to a hundred per spaceship) and the terminal building. Flexible bridges provide safe and quick connection for non-standard spaceships, though connecting them takes a few additional minutes after docking. Automatic gates are designed to serve thousands of passengers in short time periods - passengers scan their ticket on the machine, and are photographed. Once the machine verifies their identity through biometric photography, they can enter the spaceship. In any case, there are also stewards at the gate to help technophobes and the like.
Shops and Restaurants:
- CuppaCoffee (double lot) - specialises in the sale of beverages, offering a wide variety of coffee and tea that are produced all over the world, but also sells an extensive selection of lunchtime foods and snacks.
- Kern Jewelers (triple lot) - luxury goods, dedicated to extracting semi-precious and precious stones.
- Infinitis Jewels (single lot).
