It's summer, but that hasn't stopped Celsan from updating the EL4 Cekrati. The EL4 Cekrati is a Honda Civic-inspired family car, offered in sedan and stationwagon forms, and it has a very British feel to it, despite the Japanese-like styling. This version is slightly different to the re

The changes are not really that physical; no changes to the front end, but it's under the bonnet where it really matters. New for mid-2013 is the 1.6-litre/139bhp turbo engine, branded as 1.6 VTPi, which uses variable-valve timing, and is tuned for economy, offering 20mpg more than the 1.8 which it is being sold alongside. Also new, and likely to be the biggest sellers, are the two new turbodiesels seen in the range; the tCDi and tCDiEc, which is available with 1.6-litre/113bhp, 128bhp (and for the tCDiEC engine) a 158bhp 4-cylinder engine.

The trim level range remains unchanged as Base, Luxe, SE, Sport and Executive, but a new SPR sport model joins the line-up, available with the top-end 2.0-litre/159bhp 4-cylinder petrol engine.
Automatic option, with a 5-speed 'box is £500 over the manual (£750 on VTPi models).

Chrysler Thema 300C launched
Image
BY JOHN ROSSITER, DONGBEIKU CORRESPONDENT

Image
In Astholm Dongbeiku, Chrysler launched their Thema 300C there today. Based on the 300C platform, it is similar to the existing 300C but has a different grille and different engines.

The Thema 300C will be offered with only a 3.6-litre/282bhp V6 petrol; no other engines have been confirmed yet. Trim levels available are Luxury and Premium, the latter of which is very well-equipped for the money.

All models have a 5-speed automatic gearbox, but a manual version will join the line-up from September.

Prices are $70,287 for the 3.6 V6 Luxury auto, and $72,032 for the 3.6 V6 Premium auto*. However, these may change with the new 20% VAT import duty levied on vehicles.

"We have taken into account the needs of our customers and brought them a car they will truly desire,", said Kamalakar Subrahmyan, spokesman for Bhorakatara Motor Distribution LLC,
"with this and the new 300C we have a line-up that will suit our customers' needs for luxury, style and space."

There will be a new manual version due in September, and depending on customer feedback, a turbodiesel model. However, what is confirmed as coming to Dongbeiku is a new 5.7 V8, which will be offered on the forthcoming Executive model due out in November 2013.

Balna launches new off-roader for Dongbeiku
Image

BY JOHN ROSSITER, DONGBEIKU CORRESPONDENT
Image
Image
In Dongbeiku, Balna have launched their new off-roader. The Balna F4XMV SUV was launched today. Well, to call it new would be a stretch, as it's really little more than a badge-engineered Ford Escape clone, and with different engines at that.

It is (for now) exclusive to Dongbeiku, but we might get it soon, probably as a Celsan, seeing as Balna's only SUVs in Ostersten are midsize ones.

The F4XMV (unwieldy name) is available with four-wheel-drive only, no two-wheel-drive version is available on this SUV. But given its intended audience, perhaps that's no bad thing.

Engines are different from the Ford Escape's: the entry-level model gets a 2.0-litre/119bhp 4-cylinder turbo (badged as 2.0T) petrol, whilst there's also a new 2.8-litre/149bhp V6 naturally-aspirated petrol option as well. No diesel option is offered yet, but we hope they will offer one; a VLT CD turbodiesel would be quite good in this off-roader, given VLT's excellent track record there.

It's well-built, and well-equipped inside, but feels outdated, even though it was designed way back in 2004.

Trim levels are Base, LX and EX. The top-level EX is the only model that can be specified with both engines; and it's luxuriously appointed, but LX should have most of the spec you need.

Prices have not yet been announced, but we'd expect it to be at least £20,000, despite its age.

In all, it's merely average, but then again, it'll be what they expect it to be; a reliable safe off-roader that'll handle the countryside with ease.

Exclusive with CEO of Sky High Architecture.
Tom Kerboss, Chief Editor

Here we post an exclusive interview between Chief Editor, Business Khantari, Tom Kerboss together with CEO of Sky High Architecture. Sky High Architecture is an architectural design of distinguished experts in the world and received many requests and orders.

We are proud to be able to share information and views presented in detail by their CEO.

What are the main ingredients for an effective leader?
There are several things that make someone an effective leader. One is listening to the needs of the customers or the people that you represent. Without this, you cannot say you are a good leader: the people who depend on you, rely on you have not had a say or input, and to make the right decisions you need to listen to your managers, the people under you and your customers. Also, you need to have respect for others. It is because of this respect for those who are poorer than us that we are giving at least 5% of our profits to charity. Without respect, you have nothing. You also need to have a vision, a plan for the future. You need to know what to do and have a plan for things that might go wrong, because they will. And you need to be able to implement that plan, that vision. An effective leader respects others and their input, and has a vision and implements it well. Without these, the power entrusted in a leader is all for naught: there is nothing they can do to help the world.

What is the role of humility in leadership?
People will not like you or trust you if you are not humble. If you come across to them as a lofty bigwig, you aren't going to connect with the people that you need the most. Leadership does not work without people to lead: if people do not have confidence in you because you are not humble, then there is no point in leadership because they cannot trust you to lead.

Do you believe you are being courageous by pushing the boundaries of business and sustainability?
There are no boundaries between business and sustainability. Business cannot exist without sustainability. One day, the resources on this Earth on which we rely on will run out. That's unavoidable. What is avoidable is a big impact on the next generation and how they can use the resources that they have left. By being sustainable, we lessen the burden on their shoulders. We can be courageous in this stand, as others may not follow our lead at first. It takes courage to go on a path that others might not go on. It takes courage to lead, but not courage to follow, and we need to lead in this field. That's why we have been leading. The world needs it.

How important is transparency in driving change?
People need to know what is going on in the world. If they are fearful that something is going wrong, then they will not trust the government because they will not know if what they are saying is true. One of the points I keep refering back to is trust. If people cannot trust what you are doing, they will not support it. If people do not support change, then change will not occur. Of course, all this also applies to business.

How important is it that leaders can work with uncertainty?
Uncertainty is certain. You need to learn to make a plan when, not if, something goes wrong. That's the way we have approached it at Sky High: there is always a Plan B for expansion, and most times even a Plan C. Without these plans, we might not have gotten as far as we have gotten today. Dealing with this uncertainty is paramount, one of the most important skills someone can learn.

How do you stop yourself from getting overwhelmed by the problems facing the world?
It takes patience. That's really something that's been hard for me over the years, but I have learned to be patient and just deal with things as they happen. Of course, I can't respond to everything. That's how I think about it- I should focus on the problems that I care most about. I can make a difference that way- I can't if I try and do everything at once.
