Overview:
To become a government bureaucrat in Kingdom of Kwunjin, one must satisfy all follow conditions:
1)Must be educated in the Kingdom for at least 10 years
2)Must graduated from a public university or an accredited private university in the kingdom of kwunjin, your major does not matter.
3)Pass* the Royal Bureaucracy Competitive Essay Examination(Total of 5 essays-One essay on Public Law, one essay on Politics, One essay on World Affairs, One essay on Economy, and One essay on Ethics and Governance)
4) Passing the test is not enough, all who passed the first examination stage must proceed to interview stage and 60% will be eliminated.
5) Those who survived examination and interview stage inaugurated as a bureaucrat and take an oath to serve the people of Kwunjin, to protect Kwunjin's interest, to uphold the Constitution, and be loyal to the King. If they break one of the rule, they will be hanged.
Once selected, the job is life tenured and have high salary to prevent corruption. For this reason the examination is competitive with pass rate of 2.4%
You can take the test as many times as you want. Hamilton Michael Huun was famous for failing the test 34 times before finally getting accepted. He was 57 when he was accepted and served 10 years as a mid-level bureaucrat.
The average bureaucrats took the test 3 times before finally passing. It is the most challenging profession in the Kingdom.
And if the official is corrupted. They will will be hanged.
*definition of pass is having B+ average on all 5 essays. Each essay will be assigned a grade(graded by 4 graders): A, B, C, or D. The average score for 2009 is C-. In 2009, 95% of all accepted Bureaucrats scored A-, other 5% score B+.
