Today, the Allied States of Yakra is stepping out onto the world stage with the start of our new domestic embassy program. This marks the end of isolationist policies that dominated the political scene for decades. We welcome and encourage all nations who wish to establish better diplomatic relations with our fair nation.
All embassies will be located at the national capital, Thermopylae. There is a major airport located 16 miles outside the city limits. We also have a consulate program available in the following cities: New Arnhem (major financial district), Athens (major port), Senar (state capital), Bristol (state capital), East Harbor (major port), Porto de Refugio (state capital), St. Anthony (state capital), Kingston (state capital), Bouleau Jaune, and Cidade Marinha.
Before you begin the application form, there are a few rules and regulations that you should be aware of:
• All ambassadors, attaches, and administrative staff members have diplomatic immunity. However, if one of the above is suspected of having committed a criminal act within our borders, we will ask that their immunity be waived. Should this fail to happen, we reserve the right to declare said member persona non grata and expel him from the country.
• All other staff members and security personnel do not have diplomatic immunity. The consulate-general may only be arrested for felonies, and if a warrant for their arrest is issued. This is the extent of their immunity, however.
• All embassies have extraterritoriality. This means that our nation’s laws do not apply to the embassy or anyone residing within it, and the authorities may not enter the embassy without that nation’s permission.
• Yakra has strict regulations regarding weaponry. As such, certain weapons will not be allowed in the embassies. A list of requirements can be found below.
o No automatic weapons.
o No high powered rifles or carbines.
o No nuclear, biological, chemical or gas weaponry.
o No explosive ordinances, with the exception of flash bang grenades.
o No weapon that fire explosive ordinances.
o No mounted weapons.
o No silencers for any weapons.
o Only side arms and nonlethal weapons may be carried outside of the embassy. All other weapons must be locked up in a weapons locker located in the embassy.
• All military vehicles and limousines are prohibited, as well as any armament attachments to vehicles.
• Each embassy is limited to a total of 5 vehicles, including any aerial transports. All aerial vehicles will be stored at G. T. Henderson National Airport.
• All foreign animals, plants, foodstuffs, drugs, and substances must first be cleared by customs office.
• All weapons, vehicles, and foreign goods must pass inspection by the customs office. Any prohibited materials that are found will be confiscated.
• The number of staff within an embassy will be limited to:
o 20 security guards/agents.
o 10 service staff.
o 8 support staff.
o 2 additional support staff per attaché.
All applications must be completely filled out, or they will be rejected. Keep in mind that we retain the right to reject your application for any number of reasons, and that all rejections are final. However, should a problem happen to come up concerning your application, we will notify you and attempt to rectify the situation.
