Ace Combat soundtracks are among the best. Have they gone beyond the game with it? Novels etc?

Yup. Dinner break. Soz, Torsi, Bran, NA.

NA and Torsi, Dora will go if Katya asks her to, following up on Yoshi's request to watch Katya. Otherwise she was going to do something rather stupid. *nods*

Nope, just the games, although if there were novels, I'd find good reason to get back into reading again.

I agree as well, the last song there is beautiful.

Then you've got more dramatic pieces, like these (Two of my favorite pieces of music, ever)

Actually, in those two pieces, the story the lyrics tell actually tie into the game, I can explain in a spoiler if you want, or I could TG you. Because it's too cool a story to not tell.

Soundtrack's kinda average really. Jeremy Soule and Hans Zimmer do a lot better stuff for the games they work on.
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Loved that game.

Though I may just be a fanboy for the earlier Medal of Honor games I think the Frontline's soundtrack is the best I've ever heard.

Especially the Arnhem Knights piece.

Explain away. It's good to share it.

The last piece was what caught my attention. It's poignant.

What a shame about the lack of novels.

@Lance. Arnhem Knights is another spectacular one.

I almost had Dora say something rather more suggestive. >_>

Anyway, I'll be back in a bit. Time for shower. I'll try to finish up my scenes tonight to get Dora ready for the trip tomorrow.

PL Game Mentors

Postby Cerillium » Sat Aug 17, 2013 10:49 pm

More insanity
We smile and throw it at you.
Just go with it, K?

MENTORS
Sometimes Co-OPs need a break from the administrative bullshit and skull cracking. They don't want to remove themselves completely from helping people and they want to remain as a visible person players can go to for game playing advice. Swith came up with the idea of PL Game Mentors.

Of course, we already have a few people who can fill in as mentors. There is one person who stands out. If the "P2TM's RPer of 2013 Nominations Thread" has shown us anything, it's that Giovenith has a positive impact on people. I approached her a little while ago and she's open to lending a hand. She's here to give regular playing advice. Consider her another resource to turn to when you just aren't sure if what you're doing is working.

So, without further ramble, Gio is our first official PL Game Mentor. (There will be others in time.)

I get asked one question a hell of a lot: Can I be a PL Co-OP? Short answer - no. Co-OPs are a rare breed. They have to be able to balance power with restraint and can't be afraid to step into a fight. They should be experienced RPers. They have to have tact. They need to work well as a team. They have to want to invest an inordinate amount of personal time behind the scenes or in the threads. They have to cast their egos aside for the benefit of the group.

My current Co-OPs are Bones, Swith and Tilt. We balance each other out. We are a hive mind. If they need a break due to school, work or other real life reasons, they have the option of stepping into a PL Game Mentor role to relax for a while.
