Not an expert, but I'll give it a go?

what are Max Rank Points?

Rank is basically how powerful your team is. Team's with high rank are more likely to win over team's with lower rank. The maximum rank is the highest amount of points available for a team to have.

and how do i get the ranks of a nation?

For NS football teams, current ranks and KPB points (ranking points) can be found here. For domestic teams, most players either make them up or use a formula based on past performance.

what is team style?

Team style is how aggressive or defensive your team plays. The range is from -5 to +5, with -5 being super defensive and +5 being super aggressive. Teams with negative style are likely to concede less goals, but will score less as well. Teams with positive style are likely to score more goals, but will concede more as well.

what is use away goals rules and best of-x-series?

Under the away goals rule, goals scored during an away game count as double. The rule is used as a tiebreaker during two-leg games. A best of x series is where teams play a determined number of games between each other. You can set the amount of games using the Matches in Series box beneath the button in NSFS.

Most if not all scorinators require downloading of some type, chief.

Xkoranate offers a plethora of sports to score for, including golf. Though it's format is a bit hard to understand, it does get easier once you pick up on it.

If you don't want to have a stand alone program, then might I suggest Babbage Island's Golfinator (middle of the page), an Excel based scorinator that you might be more interested in.

KPB ranks are the official World Cup Committee ranks; for an unaffiliated, completely new, tournament likes yours KPB points would be irrelevant.

Its a formula in xkoranate. The others are NSFS and Footba11er. SQIS is the one that has been used in the last few World Cups, according to their bids.

I don't know whether or not Felix was asking this, but is there a reason that SQIS seems to be so popular?

Semi-general consensus opinion believes it provides the best results in terms of balance and fairness. I personally lean no particular way.

Exhaustive tests (by Pazujeb, iirc) showed that there's little difference in terms of randomness between NSFS and SQIS--there has been swings in favoritism between the two, and now we're just sort of going with SQIS. I don't think there's any particular reason. Footba11er was never properly finished, I believe, so it can get kind of wacky at times.

I don't think I clearly understand what's being asked, but I think you are asking how to show results from the scorinator?

If so, all you do is copy what it spits out at you and paste it into a post.

If you mean sharing the excel file with others, uploading it to google docs and sharing that link is the usual route, I'd think.

Hmm, I have xkoranate downloaded on my basement computer which is windows xp and supports xkoranate. But I prefer to use my chromebook instead. Only problem is I don't think xkoranate is supported by the chrome os. Anyone know a way to bridge past this?

I am able to import teams from a text file. But if I include a style modifier, e.g. in football, it doesn't work.

Is there a workaround in this or do I have to manually input their style modifiers?

If I may, can someone code an xml file for xkoranate 0.3.3 for a new sport, squallyball?

It is best out of five games. The first person/team of two to ten points wins, except you have to win by two points. If no one has won by two points when the score gets to twenty-one, then the athlete with 21 wins.
