The Tzar today landed in Vostria, 3 days after his rule came to a bitter and crushing end. The Tzar and his family had fled a few days before the uprising and had attempted to escape to Delkora. However upon arrival the Delkoran security personal detained the family before sending them back to Vostria. Alexander Kerensky said that the Delkoran nation had acted swiftly in the name of justice. They were honourable people who understand that criminals of such a calibre should not escape retribution.
The Tzar then left the airport under heavy military guard and was transported to the Imperial Palace and placed under house arrest. The convoy that brought him here was attacked numerous times by angry mobs of citizens eager to exact their own punishment upon the monarch. Mr Korkin, a fellow member of the Socialist Democratic Party and fellow friend of Mr Kerensky, came out of the palace to meet the crowd that had formed on Red Square. He explained to them that the family would, as Alexander Kerensky said, would be treated with dignity and respect and would recieve a fair trail as soon as one could be arranged. Some members of the crowd asked Zorkin whether the former Tzar should be taken to an international court but Mr Zorkin replied firmly 'He has commited crimes not only aginst Vostria's people but against Vostria's state. It is therefore only right that he is judged and trailed within Vostria.'
In other news Mr Kerensky released a statement today stating that he had been amazed by the sheer number of letters and communications of support he had recieved from the international community. He said he was pleased so many nations had faith in him and Vostria and that many had promised support and military assistance. He states that he has sent telegrams to all nations offering support stating that he was in their eternal debt for their help in this difficult time and he asked that if troops and supplies had been promised that they were dispatched ASAP. Already foreign troops have landed in Vostria and are helping with the rebuilding programme set out by Mr Kerensky and his Party.
Mr Kerensky also stated that he would open the Constitutional Conference to the people and allow them to vote on the politics that Vostria should take on. He is also said to have made numerous adjustments to his 'People's Charter' and today spoke about his work. This document is one of freedom. It empowers the state to do all it can to protect the rights of its people and to uphold the principles of socialism. He stated that the people now had more freedom and more power then ever before and that this document proves it.
He also went on to say that Vostria would take on a single party socialist system which would seek to protect the people and to be accountable to them. He said that he was inspired by the KRS and their system. He went on tot alk of how the people would be involved and the government would incourage cooperation and discussion between politicians and the electorate. He also said a Vote of No Confidence would be fitted in so the people could remove ineffective and bad politicians. All in all he stated that Vostria would be a free socialist democracy.
Many within the COnference feel as if they have been bypassed as they did not approve the creation of this system but Kerensky stated that it was not set in stone and that he would discuss the matter with numerous representatives from other nations, particulary with the represntative of the KRS. He also said that once this is done and the People's Charter is fully written with all the creases ironed it it would be made avialable to the people and that they would have the choice of whether to establish it or not. He said 'You [the conferenece members] do not decide what governs Vostria, the people do!'
Mr Kerensky also wished to thank those nations seeking to create a Mutual Defence Pact in order to protect Vostria. He stated that they were truely great people and that they were all friends of Vostria. He went on to say that he hoped all nations of the world would regonise Vostria as freedom loving and as a nation and would help in the rebuilding process. He also said that he would soon send diplomats and envoys to all friendly nations in order to gain economic and military agreements as well as improving relations.
