I'm sorry but this has always been my game, I've always known just about everything about it and I'm sorry to say that I don't think you'll do this right, transfer the OP to me or else. I don't mean to be a "dictator" or whatever but if you mad a middle earth game don't you think that you'll want to lead that game?

Accepted so, will you be classified as "Hunam" but have human recruitment and stuff? That makes it so much simpler.
Oh, and please submit the correct format of app, just for formality.

Alright, I'll get right on it
Leader: The Emperor
Race: Hunam (count's as Human for game perposes)
Starting Point: Some where between the middle and outer rim of the Galaxy
Backstory: Little is know of the why or hows behind the creation of Supina. Years ago a race of beings known simply as the Doughon built this large disc like world as either an elaborate experiment in co-habitation, to play god, or as a sanctuary for endangers species. During this time Supina's environment went through many changes in order to accommodate the large influx of new comers. Friendships were formed and enemies made all under the watchful eyes of the Doughon. Appearing every so often to observe or to prevent one species from destroying the other. Then one day they vanished, and the people of this world faced with an era with out guidance. This Era, first met with vigerious debate soon erupted into a time of war. During this time a tribe of hominids know as the Hunams inacted various wars of conquest united the known world under a single banner after three thousand years of conflict. The Empire has changed since then, but only in a slight since. Now, thanks to salvaged Dougon tech the Empire looks to the stars in hopes of contacting the people who forged the world.

1) Can we create our own race?
2) Can races have specializations in technology? Like nanotech experts or orbital building
3) Do we have to win by taking over the galaxy by war, or can we just create a space society?
4) Is a universal translator a given?

Race: Quandises
Starting Point: Far outer rim of galaxy
Backstory: (Allow me to define the species)
Individuals: The Quandis race is an insectoid type, which has evolved both an interior and exterior skeloton, allowing them to stand a good meter tall. They have 6 limbs, with four as feet and 2 as arms. Color is completly up to the individual thanks to the latest technology.
Society: The Quandis society is a super-breeder type. Each female will have 44 children on average, with lifespans extended by science to 68 earth years. Because the population is so huge, massive slums and genocides were common. 180 years ago, the technology for AIs was discovered and society changed. Now computers deal with the logistics of the massive society, and Quandis' purpose in life was the pursuit of happiness.
Technology: Genetic engineering was discovered early in their history, and now they've added Artificial intelligence, Nanotechnology, and Advanced mining. The biggest tech though, is the ability to create gaint super structures in space. Because the population grows so fast, they build orbitals which house communities of 200 billion to 3 trillion Quandises.
Military: The quandises don't like war, but they've developed a nac for it. Each soldier is equipped with a solid balistic weapon, and not much in armor. They have 4 kinds of ships; fighters, cruisers, battleships, and capitalships. They are crewed by half a million, 2 million, 10 million, and 150 million respectivally. They like to invade systems by bombarding stations and planets, and then overwhelming the target with uncountable troops, brought in by large transports carrying 2 billion troops, but without almost any defenses.
Foreign's views: Most intelligent species see the Quandises as a plague. They mine planets, asteroids, and even stars. This material is transformed in the supplies needed to support a population between 800 trillion and a zillion Quandises. It seems other species don't like this and instinctivly treat them with hostility.
(This is all I could think of right now, but if you have questions about anything I can answer them)
