Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (UCAV) are used extensively throughout the branches of the Neorian Defense Force. They have proven to be a reliable asset on the battlefield saving many lives and they also reduce the risks of downed/ dead pilots.

We use them very commonly, and have become an integral part of our military. Even small four-man squads often use small scouting drones

We have a lot of UCGVs and UCAVs in our disposal and our military occasionally use them too if the combat zone is deemed to be too dangerous for regular/non-special forces soldiers. Our UCGVs and UCAVs ranges from small R/C car-like UCAVs and flying mini scouting cameras to a sedan-sized unmanned armored cars equipped with gauss cannons and helicopter sized UCAVs which combat capabilities surpasses that of an Apache helicopter.
Small and portable UCGVs and UCAVs are utilized in small-scaled missions for reconnaissance purposes, while mid- and large-sized ones are used for large scaled missions and are usually used as a mule or combat support.

UCAV

Postby Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics » Sat May 25, 2013 5:44 pm

We only use them domestically for disasters(ie. search and rescue storm chasing) and border patrol.

In war they are mainly used for recon.

They aren't much use against big militaries that have the ability to jam and intercept radio signals.

We are considering getting some.
We've been informed on their pros and cons and are most likely going to use them. We mostly want to lower the risk of our soldiers being killed.

We use them where it is prudent to; we tend to prefer live pilots in more sensitive missions because drones are more vulnerable to electronic warfare.

Ah, hell naw.

Might as well add something. We also have humanoid drones used for squad support called Universal Soldiers. They're as dumb as a pile of rocks, but HQ seems to love them. Unlike other drones, they have annoying text-to-speech voices and will make bad jokes.

UCAVs are widely employed by the Ieperitic military when sensible, though we are wary of automating our primary fighters and bombers due to the threat of electronic warfare. While we possess significant countermeasures against hackers and our policy of killing those who endanger Ieperitic lives through indirect warfare is a quite effective deterrent, it is generally regarded as too risky to justify the possible decrease in casualties. However, our pilots are heavily aided by advanced onboard computers which assist them in difficult maneuvers and provide an additional edge against the less advanced enemies we typically come into conflict with.

We use UCAVs to for scouting missions, and bombarding the enemy before, before infantry, close air support, tanks, mechs and fighter craft engage the enemy.

We utilize UCAVS primarily for combat missions, as we prefer live eyes for scouting and believe that providing air support is the most important task for unmanned vehicles as they can be constantly close to the infantry, when manned aircraft can't, and with soldiers ability to direct their actions via computer, UCAVS can deliver a variety of munitions exactly where soldiers need them.

The Branreich Air force makes use of several types of UCAVs, each flight is assigned a handful of Human pilots to act as the handlers of said aircraft, allowing for the human element as well as the robotic one, making for a diverse, and effective fighting force.

Khanastan has invested very heavily in robotics over the last 20 years. Next to extra-solar probes and their equipment, UCAV "drones" are the next highest invested.

The Government of Rightport was actually looking at getting some unmanned aerial patrol vehicles (drones) to participate in a non-combat role with helping to patrol/protect the the waters/borders of Rightport and to participate in helping to protect the Eastern Pacific Region borders alongside its regional neighbours. However up to date this was not passed by the Government as it still remains in discussion.
