Like my nation. We elect a president and he/she governs us, but there is still a royal family that has little to no power. Basicly we have one for tradition's sake. What about you?

We only had one in our several thousand year history and they were killed during a civil war.
It actually established the nation that still stands today, too.

Yes we dI. The royal house of Djookavin. It ruled over Sedikal from 333BC till 1694AD. They are still a prominent fixture in sedik culture and are still a fairly influential family but have nowhere near as much power as they did.

We are a democratic pirate monarchy. The Pirate Council elects the Pirate King who has some power, but is kept in check by the prime minister. The Pirate King's family (if he has one) becomes the Royal Family. His wife is addressed as Queen/Princess Consort.

However there are many royal families their head is a vassal to the Emperor. The Emperor is from the dynasty rules all of the Empire, the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. The house of Habsburg is referred to as the Imperial and Royal family, to distinguish it self from other royal houses in states such as Prussia, Bavaria, Sicily, and Sardinia,

Our nation is an elective monarchy, with the highest voted female aged 18-25 elected as queen. Whoever is elected Queen, and her spouse is the Royal family.

We have two Royal Families, actually, the Tyrannus Family and the Drathmir Family. The former rules over Saurisia as a whole while the latter rules over the Dragonrealms (the Drakonian name for all the lands in the nation inhabited by draconic species).

We've only had one (would-be) king who was accidentally killed and eaten during the revolution which deposed him. No doubt he had relatives who had descendents but they don't brag about it.
