Abortion: Up to a certain point on demand (20-24 weeks), with exceptions for life/health of the mother and fetal defects thereafter. Live birth should be attempted after that time.
Affirmative Action: Had good intentions, but ultimately isn't the way to cure racism. I'd like to see it gone.
Aid (International): Be very, very careful with it. Many governments can't be trusted with aid funds, but do give it to those that can. The best way is direct aid in building infrastructure, healthcare facilities, and schools. Microlending helps promote business and generate wealth. Do it only if your government can afford it though.
Arms Trade: Helps the economy. As long as it's regulated properly, I don't see a problem with it.
Death Penalty: In favor but not too strongly, and only in rare cases and with DNA evidence, video, or other similar evidence. Testimony and confessions are highly inaccurate. Should be mostly for serial killers, etc.

Economic System: A socialist economy where the means of production are collectively owned, and are managed by the workers themselves through some form of direct democracy. If it were market socialism, essentials like healthcare would be provided by the government, otherwise resources would be distributed through some form of participatory economic system. I have no real preference between the two, as it is unlikely that either will ever be implemented within my lifetime.
Education: Should be free, even through college.

Abortion: I am Pro-Choice, though I do believe that abortions should be reserved for cases extreme cases, and not encouraged as a "backspace" for consensual sex/knowing participation in unprotected sex.

Affirmative Action: Mostly for, given that it is maintained in a manner that benefits both the underrepresented individual being considered, and the position in which they are being considered. Certain personal factors should not be the only means of approving an individual.

Aid (International): For.

Death Penalty: For, given that it is only used when the evidence against a person is undeniably overwhelming to their guilt in a matter.

Immigration Policies: The immigration system (primarily US) needs to be reformed so that it is easier for families to emigrate into the nation. Those who are known to be troublemakers or criminals should not be allowed into the nation without a probationary period of 2 - 4 years.

Income Tax: Income tax should be higher for those who are in the top 10% of earners, and significantly lower for those in the bottom 10%. The middle 80% should have a fair proportion of their income taxed, without taking so much away that they are barely scraping by.

Aid (International): Humanitarian aid is good, other aid is useful as a diplomatic incentive.
Arms Trade: Only with reliable allies

Drones: Useful but tolerance for civilian casualties should be much lower
Drugs: Soft drugs should be legal, lightly regulated, and taxed as normal goods; hard drugs should be legal for medical use only.
Economic System: Lightly regulated capitalism, with regulations focused on competition, efficiency, and financial system stability. Both capital and labor should enjoy strong negative rights but few positive rights. A nation should control its own currency, and modest inflation is desirable. Free trade is desirable.
Education: Mandatory, universally available, and generously funded by the government until students reach the age of majority. The school day and year should be longer than the current US average of 180 days and 6.7 hours. Curricula and funding should be consistent across regions. Curricula should be designed by educators, not local boards of non-educators, and should focus on preparing students to be effective citizens, and to pursue further education or enter the workforce with skills sufficient to earn a living wage. School funding should not be tied to property taxes. Making college affordable is desirable, but providing students with cheap credit is not an effective tool.

Environmentalism: Always desirable when it doesn't conflict with economic efficiency. When it does conflict, any incentives for environmentally-friendly practices are best set and enforced internationally, to reduce effects on the relative economic competitiveness of countries.
Euthanasia: Against, but physician assisted suicide should be legal for competent adults with terminal illnesses or dementia.

Gay Marriage: As long as government recognizes unions between two adults, it should treat all pairs of adults consistently.
Gun Control: Gun ownership should be legal for all competent law-abiding adults, but should in all cases require a license and background check.
Immigration Policies: The government should allow as much legal immigration as necessary to fill surplus demand for highly skilled labor. Other legal migrants should be admitted so long as immigration does not harm the interests of existing citizens. Borders should be kept secure. Illegal immigrants should receive probationary permission to reside in the US until they can gain legal status through the normal legal immigration process. Adult illegal immigrants should have restricted access to public services, but children should have normal access. In all cases, children and adults with longstanding ties to the US should be given preferential treatment.
Income Tax: Taxes should be territorial and consistent for all regions, industries, individuals, assets, goods, and services. There should be as few tax breaks and subsidies as possible. There should be no financial transactions tax, and a low consumption tax. Corporate income taxes should be low, and interest payments should not be deducted from taxable income. Individual income taxes should be progressive. If individual income tax rates differ by the type of income, the rate for capital gains and dividends on direct equity investment should be < that for secondary equity investment, which should be < that for capital gains and interest on debt, which should be < that for bank deposits, which should be < that for estates, which should be < that for labor. Capital gains and income on derivatives should be taxed in the same way as the underlying asset. There should be no tax incentives against marriage.
Iran: Should be prevented from gaining a nuclear weapon using the least intensive measures possible.
Israel/Palestine: When both sides value peace more than other concerns, there will be peace. Until then, other countries can do little.
LGBTQ Rights: The law should avoid making distinctions between individuals, including distinctions based on sexual orientation.
Philosophy (what's your philosophical outlook?): Utilitarianism, and that promoting individual liberty is the best way for a state to pursue utilitarian ends.

President Obama/American Policies: Not terrible, not great either
Prostitution: Should be legal, regulated, and unlike soft drugs, subject to sin taxes to cover the presumably high cost of regulation.
Religion: Freedom of thought, belief, and opinion should be protected, as should the freedom to do anything that does not harm others. Together these should protect the free exercise of religion in all but extreme cases. The state should not favor one religion over others, nor religious ideas to non-religious ideas. Religious beliefs should never form the sole basis for law.
Social Security (Welfare): The old age component of social security should be scrapped or replaced with personal accounts instead of a pay-as-you-go system. The government should pay the living expenses of adults who cannot work, and of adults who are trying to earn enough to support themselves but cannot find sufficient work, but whenever possible the government should pay for food, housing, and medical expenses directly rather than providing cash. The government should not support adults who can work but are not trying to earn enough to support themselves. Towards children, government support should always be generous, but whenever possible support should be delivered through schools to avoid benefitting parents who may not be doing all they can to support their family.
The UN: Good to have but not terribly powerful
Veganism/Vegetarianism: Vegans and vegetarians probably deserve the moral high ground they claim, but I like meat and dislike people who are preachy about not eating it.
War on Terror: Necessary, but the large-scale wars pursued in its name are not. The tolerance for civilian casualties should be much lower. Torture should not be tolerated, nor should curbs on civil liberties.
