Platinea Embassy Exchange

[Platinea]

In accordance with Act 36-1-1, the Republic of Platinea has selected plots of land on the outskirts of the capital city of Montevideo to be made available for embassies from foreign nations. We invite fellow states to set up diplomatic missions here to promote their interests and to encourage trade.

Regulations:
A brief biography of the ambassador and any family is requested.
Security will be provided by the Honor Guard of the city of Montevideo. No further security is necessary; however, additional security is by no means prohibited.
Embassy plots are 30m by 30m; the maximum height permitted is 60m, due to municipal regulations.
Construction of your embassy must use locally-hired labor.
The contents of the diplomatic pouch are and shall remain secure from search.
Any firearms brought into Platinea must be licensed - licensing involves a background check and a 20-peso processing fee, and permission must be granted by the Deputy Minister for Agriculture to import plants or animals, due to concerns about invasiveness. The Deputy Ministry of Agriculture requests that any animals brought over be sterile, but does not require this. Possession of unlicensed firearms, illegal drugs, or unreported plants or animals may result in confiscation without compensation and fines.
Embassy grounds are, naturally, subject to extraterritoriality, and will not be searched without the permission of the applicant state.
In exchange for setting up an embassy here, the applicant state must permit the establishment of an embassy of Platinea in or near their capital.
Embassy service staff are not subject to extraterritoriality, and will be tried under Platano law. Diplomats and their families are subject to diplomatic immunity, in that, if charged with a felony, a request will be made to send them back to their home countries, following the presentation of relevant evidence, in lieu of being tried in Platinea. Such immunity does not apply to simple misdemeanors, including violations of traffic laws, that do not involve incarceration.

Lancov will be honored to establish an embassy in Platinea, on the condition that we can provide our own security from our National Gendarmerie. We agree to pay the price for the registration of the firearms, which not exceed the amount of 12 USP Match pistols. The necessary background checks can be procured from our Internal Security Service of the Interior Secretariat.

The Ambassador is Nikita Fedor. He has served in Lancov's embassies to foreign embassies for ten years as diplomatic staff, and was a Member of Parliament for the past two years, in the National Labor Party. He loves traveling abroad and learning about other cultures. Mr. Fedor has never been accused or convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors. Mr. Fedor is unmarried.

We will be importing no plants or animals, and fully submit to all customs inspections. However, could you please provide our staff with a list of drugs that are outlawed in Platinea.

Official Statement from the Incorporated States of Solvio

In the interests of furthering bilateral ties between the Incorporated States and Platinea, we would like to establish an embassy in your nation; the ambassador to which would be Thomas Stephenson.

Thomas grew up in the small, rural community of Sterls, where his family had worked the land for generations. Nevertheless, even at a young age, he showed more interest in the outside world than he did in farming. At age 19, he received a scholarship to the prestigious Solvioan university Gramm University. Here, he studied the collective history of the Americas - after which, he went on to law school. After working as a lawyer until 35 and holding various spots in city government, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly, where he served until the end of his second term. With his well-educated and successful background, the ISS feels he will be an excellent assets in furthering ISS-Platinean relations. He is married to Alysa Madison and they have three children.

We have full faith in your security forces to guard our embassy and, as such, will not bring and weapons. Furthermore, thirty diplomatic staff will be brought to the ISS embassy; more if necessary can be locally hired Platineans. The ISS hopes that this will result in warmer relations for years to come, and thank Platinea for establishing an embassy in our nation.

The Republic of Prumia would like to establish an embassy in Platinea. However, the restrited laws of your government towards other nations is un-acceptable. Prumian diplomats can only be protected by Prumian security forces and as such the Honor Guard of the city of Montevideo will not be needed for security. I shall accept the rules regarding embassy contruction limitations and the "loacally hired" workers rule. We shall also agree to pay the "processing fee". However, Prumia recognizes embassies as a rented location from one nation to another and while the location is rented to said nation it will be recognized as sovereign territory of the renting nation. In other words, we require that Prumian law be regarded as the premier law within the Prumian embassy. If these alteration can be made than the Republic of Prumia shall be pleased to open an embassy in Platinea.

The Lead Ambassador for Platinea will be Vasun Duran. At 32, he has been serving as a diplomat for Prumia since he was 24. Like most Prumian diplomats he has never married and does not have any children.

If the above infromation is accepted than Prumia will be pleased to open an embassy in Platinea.

The first request, to use your own security, is acceptable. Currently, the peoples of Lancov and Libertarian Governance both do so.

As for your second request, we grant that your embassy itself is Prumian territory, subject to Prumian law; nonetheless, outside your embassy, you set foot onto Platano territory and Platinea's laws, with the exceptions noted. We would not think to barge into your embassy to arrest a staffer; if one were suspected of committing a crime, we would inform you of the details of the case, and work with you on how to handle the situation.

The Republic of Monahtan graciously requests to establish an embassy within Platinea. We appreciate the added security the local Honor Guard will provide, however respectively request that fifteen members of the Republican Security Service be stationed within the embassy armed at all times with Walther P99s. Also, the embassy will have on hand an additional seven P99s as well as twenty-two Robinson Arms XCR assault rifles for emergencies, but the Security Agents will not be armed with rifles during normal operations of the embassy. We will provide biographical information on all armed staff for you to perform background checks, as well as the Monahtan-based background checks that have been completed before their employment with the Republic.

We also request that no more than five government-issued passenger cars be allowed to operate within Platinea for day-to-day usage by the senior embassy staff. These vehicles will be marked with Monahtan symbols and while in use will be carrying at least one armed Security Agent. Also, emergency lights and sirens are installed but can be removed at the request of the Platinean government.

The full number of individuals staffing the embassy will be equal to forty-five, plus or minus a few due to travelling. No plants, animals, or additional weapons will be imported and all major staff changes will be sent to the proper office within Platinea.

The ambassador from Monahtan will be Dr. Dmitri Sidorov. Dr. Sidorov, who is forty-eight years old, has served with the Republican Ministry of International Affairs for eighteen-years, joining the Ministry as a diplomatic aide shortly after the completion of his Ph.D in political science from Lexat University, a private school in the northern region of Monahtan. During his career with the Ministry, Dr. Sidorov has served in many capacities, quickly working his way up where he now holds the title and authority of Ambassador to a Foreign Nation. He has been married for twenty-two years, and has two sons, Derek and Andre. Dr. Sidorov is excited about undertaking his new duties in Platinea, and looks forward to meeting and working with all members of the Platinean diplomatic office.

If these terms are acceptable to the Platinean government, we humbly wish to begin construction of the Monahtan Embassy in Platinea.

The premier wanted to congratulate Anastasia for her rise from basic nothingness. He gave her the post of Head of International Affairs, which she retained until she stepped down five years ago to become the representative of the state Caroli, her birth state, for the next 2 years. She then was asked to become the Director of Internal Affairs for the USN and wrote the treaty that ended the Rusikstan-Dahoma Conflict. Last year I asked her to return and be Deputy Head of Rusikstan International Affairs, which she gladly accepted. Her commitment to the spread of neutrality and world peace led her to ask to become the ambassador to your nation, which I allowed. She has no children but is married to Igor Miltief, who will not be accompanying her. We will be happy to leave full control of Anastasia’s protection to the Honor Guard.
