To clarify: godmodding might result in the thread starter booting you from the RP, however on NationStates it will not result in a forum ban.Zernin wrote:This can also result in a possible ban.
Taking no damage isn't always godmodding. In this case it probably is, but even then it's a possible if flukey outcome and if it were an isolated incident I'd be disinclined to complain. In other cases there may be attacks that are just plain ineffective, like shooting at a tank with an assault rifle, it's not godmodding for the tank to take no meaningful damage from that.Godmodding occurs when a player A describes an event, or a series of events he/she has taken against player B in the RP. The person who plays character B describes actions taken that completely nullify the original actions against them.
For example:
player A: "Joe strikes out at George firing a machine gun, launching a grenade at him and pulling down the walls around him."
player B: "Joe completely misses George as he dodges the bullets, picks up the grenade and throws it back and jumps away from the falling walls."
***SOMETHING had to hurt the character, even if he only got shot in the shoulder or piled on by the wall and emerged with a broken wrist.
In my experience, this is the more common, clear-cut, and egregious version in free-form roleplaying, and probably warrants addressing firstGodmodding can also refer to where character A describes the outcome of their own actions AGAINST another character. For example, character A states: "George lashes at Joe with his sword, creating a huge gash in his cheek."

Like the time you claimed to have thousands of tanks with graviton cannons with a population of 7,000,000 and a combined GDP of 20,000,000.

Just looking through your military stats you only have a combined army number of 16,800 and a budget of $ 73,065,162.24. How can you have rail guns and graviton cannons?

Tyran, as I have said before...I RP a FT empire, a large one that controls a galaxy, I have literally just a "few" billion more tanks where that came from, you obviously don't get that(LOL, can't get it through your thick skull).

It got a little sucky after a while, and it just started...I was sick when I posted my replies, so I didn't really explain what was going on in the post, or even the wind considering that my character is like...2,000 feet up in the air.

It's very good, really But many people are more capable to RPing than you, and only few of them have wrote stickied guides.
Again, rather than being laughed, ridiculed and ignored to death (very common in NS) I suggest you to stop lecturing newbs (sorry about rude words), unless it's something that does not exist in link that I've provided.

You got those stats with a tracker, yes? Here's the thing: those aren't configured for FT nations. Heck, even a lot of MT nations disregard them.

...I said okay, I also said it wasn't my best work, and it was far from a good work(at least on here)

Before RPing (and make an useless guide), I suggest you to read them. Works to me..I think.Dremono wrote:
You advertised a RP. *Shakes head solemnly* You by yourself only have 14 million people, and you are teaching people. Stop with the madness.
This, in more civil words.

New Tyran wrote:Trying to flamebait? It's just very unrealistic to have such technology when you can't even keep a small army well equipped and trained. Not saying you can't have such things but in larger role plays with people who actually play realistically to their nations economy and spending, wouldn't so much as even acknowledge you.
