Apparently catching sight of something behind the camera, Aric glides off to one side, a few seconds before a dazzling flash of laser light blinds the camera. Once the view returns, the ribbon is lying in two pieces, smouldering on the road.

Our embassy program is open to nations of all levels of development; we ourselves possess FT technology. For more information on any aspects of our nation see our Factbook, which is being progressively expanded.
Only bona fide nations may have embassies. Subnational entities, corporations, rebel groups, and so on are ineligible; if you are such and particularly desire a presence in the United Pokemon Types then contact us expressing interest in opening an office but bear in mind you will not get special treatment in the eyes of the law. Nations that Cease To Exist on the international stage may have their embassies repossessed.
All embassies are to be located in the Ambassadorial District in our co-capital of Green. Green is located on Stark Island in Zealandia on Earth. I trust you know how to find Earth should you not reside on it. Only in truly exceptional circumstances will an embassy be located elsewhere.
The quickest way to get your embassy up and running will be to purchase one of the chancery buildings already constructed. They are variously constructed in either Brick Traditional, Crown Style, or National Style; see our Factbook for descriptions of these architecural styles. All feature three to five floors, including a basement, with between 18 and 22 thousand square feet (1670 to 2000 square metres) of floor space in a mix of open-plan areas, single offices, and living apartments. Ceilings are 10 foot (3 metres) throughout, and final fitting out of doors and facilities will be done to suit your species. The buildings are each set in three acres of grounds, providing ample space around them for parking, landing pads, security perimeters, extensions, or other requirements you may have.
If you wish to design and build your own chancery, whether to meet specialist needs or simply due to a desire to have a building of your native architecture, 5-acre plots of land are available. You are advised that you will be required to seek planning permission for your construction. These plots all back onto one of two lagoons, one freshwater the other salt, to provide for aquatic species. Those requiring more exotic atmospheres or oceans should work with our and their own engineers to create a suitable environment.
The United Pokemon Types' laws provide your representatives with diplomatic immunity and the chancery with extraterritoriality. The Preskomos, our law-making body, intend to update our statutes to bring them in line with the World Assembly's resolutions relating to such. Be aware that diplomatic immunity is not applicable within the Glitch Type due to the absence of any laws at all there; should your staff need to visit I advise liasing with the Glitch Leader.
Your staff are limited to small arms only. It doesn't matter if it's recurve bows, revolvers, or ray-guns, but no heavy artillery or anti-air/space weaponry please. Should your staff have inherent powers, whether physical, psychic, magical, or whatever, that are significantly above the capabilities of small arms, these must be disclosed to us. We also ask that you keep the area of effect of any defensive fields or shields you may bring to your own embassy; don't let them spill onto the neghbours or the street.
Embassy vehicles, whether ground or air, should be of civilian appearance; our idea of civilian appearance, which is similar to that of 20th century Earth, in case yours is very different! Small spacecraft are permitted, but note that the Roof prevents going directly into orbit, requiring travelling at atmospheric altitudes out to sea before ascending.
Remember that you can change your staffing levels as needed, you don't need to fill all your apartments and offices right away.
Consulates may be located anywhere in the United Pokemon Types, but only once you have run your embassy without any major issues for some time. They should only be opened based on a genuine need due to significant numbers of your citizenry being present in the UPT. You can in any case have consular facilities at your embassy.

Guide to the Ambassadorial District
The Ambassadorial District is located in the Midlevel of Green, at around 400 m altitude. The climate is maritime subantarctic, staying cool in summer but rarely dropping much below freezing in winter. The District is enclosed by Wells Street, Clarke Street, Midlevel Regentsway, and Frost Drive, with the embassy premises on Verne Street running through it. It is served by shops and a police station located within the Ambassadorial District and a tube station just outside, while the city's airport and ferry ports are a short drive or tube ride away, and a spaceport is located out to sea easily reachable by ferry or aircraft.

All applications must include a message to Deputy Regent Mewtwo, since the position of Regent is currently vacant. This can be as formal or informal as you like, so no need for fancy graphics if you don't have them, but should at the very least introduce your nation to us.
