The Orthodox Federation of the Eagleland seeks international partners in peace and prosperity between our country and yours. I would like to thank you for your time in visiting our office, either for information of our citizenship laws or on an assignment from your nation in establishing embassies within our nation. Before you proceed, however, I would like to introduce our nation to you.
The Orthodox Federation of the Eagleland is a large nation of 4,5 billion people in the Unified Realm Region. Historically, Eaglelanders are direct descendants of Ancient Athenians, which is evident in it's culture and nationalistic pride and heritage. The Eagleland is a peaceful society, which can be backed up by 2 things; firstly, the politeness of Eaglelanders and secondly, the extremely low criminal rates, which is extinct in most areas. The Eagleland is a very cultured nation, with more than 3,000 festivals occurring every year, with a mixture of Greek and Japanese cultures. The Eagleland's official language is Greek, although recognised regional languages include Japanese, Russian, Serbian and English, although that recognition applies to Government Documents. Yet, all Eaglelanders share a common Greek and Eagleland nationalistic identity, which makes secession movements extremely unpopular. This means that every Eaglelander sees himself primarily as an Eaglelander and as a Greek. The Freedom of Speech is non-violatable and everyone can project his opinions in public, as long as he does not enforce them using force. Racism, especially in Law Enforcement and Government members, does not exist.
January of 2012 has seen a change in Eagleland Foreign policy. While in the past, nations were discriminated between "Distinguished" and "Non-Distinguished", now all nations with embassies in our country can choose a city of their choice, where a building with basic furniture will be provided, and further furniture can be arranged upon request. Each diplomatic building has a seven metre field surrounding it, with the ability to be fully decorated without any form of property tax whatsoever.
The Eagleland's powerful economy is characterised by the large amount of businesses. In fact, businesses have few regulations, and SMEs make up for 80% of all of the Eagleland's total businesses. This capitalist economy, backed by abundant resources including Gold, offers lucrative investment opportunities. Militarily, the Eagleland maintains a powerful, 40 million man professional force and 500 million militiamen ready to fight and defend the Eagleland and her allies. As a Greek nation, the Eagleland Government can offer economic, military and diplomatic assistance to other Greek states during times of war or peace. As fully commited members of the Unified Realm Alliance, we despise slavery and back our allies, the Libertarian Governance in it's crusade against slavery.

General Information
The Orthodox Federation of the Eagleland (Greek: Ορθόδοξη Ομοσπονδία της Αετοχώρας) is the northern most country in the Unified Realm region. It is also the largest, as, according to the 2012 census, it has a population of 7,200,000,000 people. The Eagleland also has some overseas possessions in other parts of the Unified Realm, being the Colonies of Nea Chrysos, the Osean Colony, the Colony of Nea Mikra Asia and the territory of Dragonisos. It borders Merkonia to the south, and includes the Aetos Gulf (Greek: Κόλπος του Αετού), the Sea of Pericles (Greek: Περίκλειο Πέλαγος), the Northern Sea (Greek: Βόρειο Πέλαγος) and the Karash Gulf (Greek: Καράσειος Κόλπος).
The Eagleland is a unitary state governed under a federal parliamentary system, with its seat of government in the capital city of Kokkinia (Κοκκινιά) or Oured. It is a full state member of the Unified Realm Alliance and remains an observer in the Pan Slavic Union State alliance. The Eagleland is allied to it's fellow Unified Realm Alliance members, with the most important and closest being the Libertarian Governance, the most powerful financial and military power in the region.
Even though the Eagleland was inhabited by several tribes for more than 60,000 years, the first colonization occurred before the Pelloponnesian War (431 BC - 404 BC), by a group of Athenians who immigrated to what would become Ahtos Province. Through a bloody civil war and sucessive wars of expansion the Eagleland was born, and an era of political instability, civil wars, revolutions and colonization would become a trademark of Eagleland History. The Eagleland Republic, in it's form, has been established in 1975, after the Dissolution of the Eagleland Empire and the Bankruptcy of 1974. Since then, the Eagleland has seen a massive economic recovery.
Despite it's mostly homogenic ethnicity (being Greek), the Eagleland is a mixture of Greek city-state citizens, who have immigrated to the Unified Realm. It's Greek bloodlines can be traced back to those of Ancient Athens, Thebes, Corinth, Macedonia and Sparta. These five groups make up the Greek ethnicity, which is the de facto et de jure native majority of the population. Immigrants are mostly from Unified Realm states such as the Libertarian Governance, Greater Ithera and Merkonia, although many other ethnic groups are also present.
The Eagleland, therefore, can claim descendency from the Ancient Greek Civilization. The latter is also a great influence in the Eagleland's arts, customs and traditions, something which is evident in all aspects of Eagleland life (citizens can speak Modern as well as Ancient Greek), culture (the Eleusinian Mysteries still take place ceremonially), architecture (many buildings ressemble Ancient Greek ones), cuisine (olive oil is used in most dishes), politics and law (many Eagleland laws can be traced back to Ancient Greek ones), up to and including the Military (some ceremonial regiments still dress and march as they did in the Antiquity).
It is one of the most powerful nations in the Unified Realm region, with a GDP in excess of 340,000,000,000,000 NS Dollars and has a very high standard of living, with a GDP per capita of approximately 44,000 NS Dollars. The Eagleland, despite it's cultural prowess and economic strength, is mostly known for it's Military and Law Enforcement branches' legendary historical feats of heroism, bravery, and (for the latter) tolerance. It is also known for it's Petroleum, Natural Gas, Gold and other mineral resources. Despite it's massive oil reserves, the Eagleland is also investing heavily in green resources and sustainable energy forms.
The Eagleland's Military and Law Enforcement agencies are also the largest in the Unified Realm. The Eagleland Armed Forces amass 70,000,000 soldiers, the Eagleland's law enforcement agencies include 30,000,000 sworn officers, and the Eagleland Coast Guard has 5,000,000 guardsmen. The Eagleland National Guard is the largest of the country's security forces, with 300,000,000 men and women in it's ranks, making it the largest militia force in the region. The Eagleland Diplomatic Corps is 100,000-strong and the country remains a Full State member of the Unified Realm Alliance and an observer state of the Pan Slavic Union State alliance.
Because the Eagleland is a very large country (59,000,000 square kilometers large), climatic areas differ. The coast around the Eagle Gulf, to the West of the Aetos Mountain Chain, is known for it's Mediterranean Climate, characterized by warm to hot, dry summers and mild to cool, wet winters. Because of the height of those mountains (24,000 meters) cold winds cannot pass through, and therefore the Highland area is characterized by constant snow. To the East of the Mountain Chain, the country is an endless, relatively flat land of tundras, with only one mountain, Mount Souliotis. Tree growth is hindered by low temperatures and short growing seasons. In the winter, it is also known for heavy snow.
Eagleland Law Regarding Foreign Affairs
Eagleland Penal Law, despite it's reputation for intolerance of criminal offenses, is relatively lax regarding foreigners when compared to other states. This is due to the respect of diplomatic immunity within embassy limits. However, once any diplomatic staff are outside, they are within jurisdiction of Domestic Eagleland Law. Only Ambassadors and High-Ranked Administrative Staff may not be arrested, persecuted or forced to testify before a court. However, that does not mean that they cannot be issued a speeding ticket. All other staff are subjected to Eagleland Penal Law whenever they commit a criminal offense.
Upon establishing an embassy, the nation agrees to abide by the Laws of the Eagleland. While this allows for diplomatic immunity of Ambassadors and High-Ranked Administrative Staff, or the right to maintain allotted land as private property, if lower-ranked diplomatic staff charged or implicated in extremely serious crimes (such as homicide) that Diplomatic Immunity is nullified and he/she is to be arrested or must testify before a court of Law - however, the latter is not obligatory and therefore diplomats are considered "free of obligation" to testify before a court. Also, such warrants may only be issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs's Office of Diplomatic Relations and by a Supreme Court of the Eagleland.
Each embassy may only feature fifteen (15) vehicles, and one helicopter at a maximum. Regarding armaments, despite the Eagleland's liberal gun laws, weapons can only range from pistols to Personal Defense Weapons (PDWs), with a limited number of heavy-calibre sniper rifles (5) authorized for storage, grenades may only include smoke and concussion grenades of any kind, body armor kits may not exceed one hundred sets and ammunition may not exceed 500,000 rounds of ammunition and 30,000 grenades. Limits also exist or embassy staff; only fifty (50) diplomatic, twenty-five (25) security and fifteen (25) maintenance staff are allowed on embassy grounds at any given time.
Private Property is to be inspected annually by the Ministry of Interior and the Eagleland Police. Illegal, unrestistered property which can cause disturbance (such as illegally stocked weapons) is considered a crime, in which case the embassy is closed and all members deported, per Eagleland Law. All Embassies have a maximum of fifty (50) diplomatic personnel and twenty (20) security personnel, in addition to the Ambassador and the Consulate General.

Treaty Types
There are a number of treaties that can be signed between our nations, as part of your request. These include:
Trade Agreement: Trade agreements are treaties which provide signatories with an advantage in each others marketplace. This could include lower tariffs than countries with no trade treaty. Our trade agreements treat your imports as if they came from domestic companies. Thus you compete on a more equal basis.
Non-Aggression Pact: A Non-Aggression pact is an international treaty between our states agreeing to avoid war or armed conflict between us and resolve our disputes through peaceful negotiations. The pact includes a pledge of avoiding armed conflict even if we find ourselves fighting third countries, including allies of one of the participants.
Scientific Research Agreement: A scientific research agreement provides for collaborative work on research projects and a sharing of results, technical know-how, equipment and expertise between countries, for the promotion of scientific research and technological advancement.
Mutual Defense Agreement: A Mutual Defense Agreement between our nations is a Doctine in which we agree to defend each other in the event of invasion by a foreign country. It also permits military exercises between our two nations, as a vital part of this agreement. This also entitles nations to a 25% discount in all Eagleland Arms Manufacturing Industry storefronts.
Cultural Exchange Programme: A programme which provides our nations with incentives to promote our civilizations between our two countries, to promote creativity, foster a mutual respect and a spirit of amity and friendship between our countries. This also promotes respect for foreign cultures in general, and the spreading of humanist values, necessary for a free society.

According to Law 23567/2007, all embassies from foreign states shall be situated in each of the capital cities of the mainland area of the Eagleland, excluding Xatzhkyriakeio City in Xatzhkyriakeio Territory and Oia in Aetos Island Territory. The states of Athens, Korinthos, Sparta, Macedonia, Thebes, Crete, Epirus, the Karasean State and the Kokkinia Capital Territory (KCT) shall save up grounds necessary for foreign embassy construction, starting from June 2013. We will fulfill any and all requests as put forward from your nation in the meantime, regarding embassy construction, as of January 1st, 2013, only in Kokkinia, KCT.

Kokkinia, Kokkinia Capital Territory
Kokkinia (Greek:Κοκκινιά) is the capital city of the Eagleland, as well as being the largest metropolitan area in the country and the largest urban zone in the Unified Realm region by most measures. Located on the delta of the Kokkinos River, Kokkinia has been settled for millennia, since 3,000 BCE. Although it was destroyed in the Ananko War, it was rebuilt by Emperor Mantitheus V in 1000 AD. Despite the massive growth in the city's population, Kokkinia's medieval core, the Old Kokkinia district, largely retains its square-kilometer mediaeval boundaries. The city governed by the elected Mayor of Kokkinia and the Kokkinia Assembly.
In stark contrast to many capitals, due to the city's position (it is located in the centre of the country), as well as the Eagleland's relatively strict immigration laws, Kokkinia is a largely homogenous city, as native Eaglelanders make up 97.9% of the population,as reported by the 2012 census. The same census revealed that 1.1% of the population is made up of Libertarian immigrants, and the remaining 1% is made up of other ethnic groups. That homogeneity is also evident in religion; 98.4% of it's residents claim to be Greek Orthodox Christians.
Kokkinia is the Eagleland's largest city, with more than 100,000,000 reisdents living within it's metropolitan area of 5,452 square kilometers. It is the financial powerhouse of the country, with the Kokkinia Lake being rich in petroleum and natural gas resources, with it's strong winds being, at the same time, a large incentive for investments in green energy. It is estimated that there are 1,500,000 businesses based in the country, which generate huge profits and employ a large number of people. Kokkinia has, subsequently, the highest standard of living in the Eagleland, with the median salary of employed people currently at 50,000 Drachmas per annum.
As Kokkinia is also the capital of the Kokkinia Capital Territory (Greek: Πρωτευουσιάνικη Περιοχή Κοκκινιάς), it is also the seat of the KCT Parliament, in addition to the Eagleland Parliament. It is also the seat of power for all most Eagleland corporations and millionaires; it is estimated that Kokkinia has 1,560,000 millionaires living within it's residential areas. Most foreign countries have built their embassies in the city of Kokkinia, and many immigrants choose the city for their settlement, despite it's remoteness.
It is also the location of many social and cultural institutions of national significance, such as the Eagleland War Memorial, the Eagleland Federal University, the Eagleland Institute of Sport, the Voulgarakis National Gallery, the Eagleland National Museum and the Omiros National Library. The Eagleland Army's officer corps are trained at the Eagleland Military Academy at Vari Kokkinias and the Kokkinia National Guard Military University is also located in the capital, alongside the Eagleland National Defense General Staff headquarters.
The KCT is independent of any state, to prevent any one state from gaining an advantage by hosting the seat of Federal power. However, the KCT has voting representation in the Federal Parliament, and has its own independent Legislative Assembly and government, similar to the states. As the city has a high proportion of public servants, the federal government contributes the largest percentage of Gross State Product and is the largest single employer in Kokkinia. As the seat of government, the unemployment rate is lower and the average income higher than the national average, while property prices are relatively high, in part due to comparatively restricted development regulations. Tertiary education levels are higher, while the population is younger.
Residents of Kokkinia are known as Kokkinites (Κοκκινίτες) in Greek and "Kokkinians" in English.

EMBASSY ESTABLISHMENT FORM
As of February the seventeenth, 2013, the Eagleland Office of Diplomatic Relations, under the Eagleland Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will require the completion of a new application form, prior to the authorisation of your request, which requires more specific information. All requests made before that time, however, shall not be re-examined.
The reinstatement of our embassy programme and the cancellation of our two previous diplomatic relations programmes do not mean that nations that have previously applied and have been approved will require to re-apply. Their embassies will remain the same.
