"He's coming, isn't he?" Leah asked him, looking at the starry yet stormy night. It was a beautiful night, but tinged with terror and caution all the same. In a way, that just made it even more beautiful.

Crowley sighed, sharpening a sword. "Yeah." he said quietly. "I sent Richard and Loki a message. I don't know when they will be able to get here though..." He looked at the storm outside. "In this time...in this place...what we have here is a twilight of the gods. I'm not sure if they can break through the magical storm quick enough...God fucking dammit." he swore.

Leah looked at Crowley sympathetically, but placed a hand on his shoulder. "We can survive this." she said simply. "We've been through trouble and we will keep getting through it. If we dedicate ourselves to us we can make it, I know this."

Crowley looked out at the storm. "Uriel is incomprehensibly powerful. I am not sure if we can get through this..." he said, sounding torn. Around them, the storm crackled and fizzed, smashing trees and huts.

But this would all regrow. Eventually, it would all regrow. Even this era was drawing to a close soon. Soon, what would begin? What the Hindus called Kali Yuga? Well, they claimed that was the worst era, but Crowley would call a pleasant bullshit on that. Things would get better, they always did. Even when darkness seemed overwhelming, there was light. Nobody could deny that.

But some Hindus said differently about Kali Yuga. They said it was not the worst era- it was the era in the cycle that had the most darkness. But it also had the most light.

It wasn't here yet though. Right now, it was just him and Leah here.

He looked up at the stars. "Sometimes I want to just get lost up there, you know?" he said. "Away from..." he gestured. "All of this."

"There will be time for that later." Leah reassured him, holding him closely, then she squealed a bit as Crowley picked her up by the wrist and they walked outside.

"There's a storm on, Aleister!" she scolded, giggling slightly even so as the rain fell around them. Crowley just laughed and began to hover in the air.

"You think this weather is strong?" he boasted as they skyrocketed into the air. "Just hold on and see what the fuck I can do."

They flew out into the stars...

A week later, Crowley lay in his bed, remembering the events of last night. He wasn't able to save her, he wasn't able to give more time...He had failed.

They had flown out into the stars, but then they had come back down to Earth.

America is a very big place, and a lot of us live in suburbs (though I don't know if it's actually enough to qualify as "most"). Plus, our public transportation system is "BUT THAT'S SOCIALISM! In America, owning a car is very literally a necessity. *nods*

I would like to comment to the other unfortunate souls who have to share a street with me- Yes, I am aware you're honking and I also don't want to be doing what I'm doing. I don't want to be in that lane either.

Some of the shit I do when driving is just terrible. I feel like the other drivers look through their windows and expect to see a hundred year old blind dog who happens to be texting while masturbating, and they see this healthy grown man just trying his best.
