Name: Hiraku Kimura
Age (Actual): 850
Age (Appears): 34
Race: 孤独ガーディアン
(Kodoku Gādian—Solitude Guardian.)
Appearance (Picture or good description):
Powergrid/Powers:
INT: 3
STR: 4
SPD: 5
DUR: 3
FS: 5
CHR: 3(?)
Magic Levels:
•Level 2 Energy Strike:
Interestingly enough, by swinging his sword, Hiraku can shoot out a (weakish) 'slice' of energy. Can be used multiple times in succession due to being low power:
•Level 6 Sword Release:
Total rip-off of a Bankai. By uttering the command Strike the Ground, and then uttering his sword's name, 子羊 (Kohitsuji—Little Lamb), he can unlock the special ability of his sword. When unlocked, it takes this shape, only red. A known effects of this release is an increase in base strength and durability of the material of the sword. When released, Kohitsuji's offensive capabilities change. More will be revealed about this as Hiraku's story progresses. If Night wishes, I'll express them privately through TG, but for now, this is to add to a sense of mystery of his powers.
Weaknesses (Optional, but you could get more points if you do this):
Hiraku's main fear is dying. The last of the pure race of Kodoku Gādian, he knows that if he passes on, the heritage of this mystical race would vanish once and for all.
Allergies:
•Pepper
•Sardines
•MSG
Personality:
Hiraku, for the most part, is a reserved man. Though his attitude is tempered on the outside, on his interior a fear of death grips him. Due to this, a sense of aloofness surrounds him. This is not to say that he's not personable and friendly, but instead that at first glance, arrogance seems to envelop his actions due to him being distant. However, once one digs deeper, a more enjoyable Hiraku makes himself known.
History:The Kodoku Gādian were a mystical race that lived in the foothills of remote Japan. Though they were not technically human, throughout the centuries they had adopted the mannerisms and build of the mortals. In a way, they became the divine mirror of mortals.
Hiraku Kimura was born 850 years ago in the Kodoku Gādian village of Fujimaki(Wisteria Wound), named so in honour of the first Wisterias that had bloomed in the village, on the spot when the blood of the great warrior—to the point of even being a god among the divine—Kazuki Yuki died alongside the Yokai King, of which mortal battle had been engaged between them.
What separates Kodoku Gādian from the average mortal is the fact that they do not have an 'expiration date' for their lives. While they do eventually age and wither, though that can take many millennia to fully culminate, in those cases the subject took their own life. While nature refused to give them a natural end, the cases of which their lives ended by third party means were of great numbers throughout the ages, even before the Shūryō-bi(End Date), the last stand of the Kodoku Gādian.
The Shūryō-bi occurred on the days following the United States usage of the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, then Nagasaki. Due to the immense nuclear power being released, a breakdown of the bonds that separated Yokai residence in Hell—in other words, where the 'bad demons even among demons' reside—and the mortal realm home of the Kodoku Gādian, as described before, was imminent. The carnage, though mystically shielded from the word during the aftermath, was unconscionable. Hiraku witnessed his wife and children struck early on in the invasion. The Yokai were fighting for revenge of the slaughter of their king by the hand of Kazuki Yuki. The Kodoku Gādian, however, were fighting for their own survival.
Despite the immense knowledge of battle possessed by the Kodoku Gādian, the Yokai's hate had been a growing flame for those many millennia, feeding on the immeasurable heat of the deepest recesses of Hell. In the end, that hate consumed the Kodoku Gādian, leaving Hiraku Kimura as the sole survivor.
Though eventually the Yokai receded from their triumph, they had unwittingly left Hiraku alone, a solitary reed swaying in the wind of a burnt pond. In a way, their biggest mistake was that in their carelessness, they let the same hate that had allowed them to achieve victory fester inside of this one man, turning into a hatred of demons rivaled by no other.
The decades that followed were lost years to Hiraku Kimura, as roamed the earth, drowning his grief in a flurry of other...activities. Eventually, he came to a realization—his death would serve no purpose but to dishonor the gift of life he had retained. As much as he wished to see his wife and children again, he first would have to rebuild the society that he had witnessed crumble under the immense evil of the Yokai
A new millennium had passed by now, and years even from then were turning into decades. It was at this time Hiraku learned more in depth about Aleister Crowley and Elfen High. From what he perceived, the school, and the man who ran it, would be the ideal place to realize the revival of the new Kodoku Gādian.
Traveling to the school, he explained his goals and requested for a teaching job there. Though accepted as a teacher, the only class in need of a head happened to be the Health course. Hiraku adapted, though. With exception to a five minute overview at the beginning of his class, Hiraku's entire curriculum consists of showing his students full-length adult films. Because of this, Crowley routinely drops in to watch.
RP Sample:
Name: Kane Treacy
Age (Actual): 15
Age (Appears): 16—she's mature for her age.
Race: Russian Demigod, because fuck it, the Percy Jackson series is awesome. Has many British tendencies, though. (Yes, Constania, this is for the lulz...I repeat, for the lulz)
Appearance (Picture or good description):
Powergrid/Powers:
INT 4
STR 1
SPD 2
DUR 5
FS 4
Magic:
Ice Summoning Lv 6:
Can materialize ice from 'thin air'. Scientific explanation: Takes advantage of moisture in air, then converts that to ice. Power also works on regular bodies of water. Using this, she can:
•Freeze others solid, though this takes an immense amount of energy. Not usually practical.
•Form weapons from the ice—most common weapons are swords and certain types of body armour.
•Most common usage: Able to materialize ice shards, then throw them at enemies. Yes, not unlike the Pokemon move.
Ice Healing Lv. 2:
By coating wounds(self or other) with a layer of thin ice, Kane is able to heal low to moderate wounds. Amount of time it takes to heal them depends on severity. Read: This power isn't instantaneous.
Weaknesses (Optional, but you could get more points if you do this):
•Boys. Kane falls head over heels for most guys she meets.
•Paranoia over being burned by fire
•Unfounded fear of Crowley. Yeah...unfounded
Personality:
Wearing a rather brash shell, Kane usually drops it whenever she meets a supposed 'hottie hunk', in her own words. However, under her hard exterior, she really does have a caring heart.
History:
Kane always despised her name. Considering it a boy name, she harboured a grudge against her deceased mother for this, no matter how many times it was pointed out to her that she was a tomboy. She disliked it, and that was the end of that.
With that little bit out of the way, let's start from the beginning...
Kane's mother was a nice Russian woman named Katalina, Katie for short. She was a knockout for a normal woman, but had the lifestyle of a model. That explained why she died from a drug overdose when Kane
was about four. From that point, Kane ended up in an orphanage for many years.
Then, there's her dad. Nice chap...for a total asshole. No, it's not Mars. It's Boreas, god of the northern wind. Surprised? No, you really shouldn't be, considering she was born in goddamn Siberia. Kane's never met her dad, and really, couldn't care less if she ever did.
Kane was born in Sevastopol, Russia. She does not celebrate her birthday because of many bad experiences in the orphanage she ended up in, but her official records claim her to be 15 years of age.
It is unknown of Kane's orphanage life, the earliest known records of her after this period of time has her enrolled at Kalliso Institute in beautiful Provendiya Russia. The institute, a mock image of Elfen High in a Soviet style,it was known for it's harsh discipline and unforgiving administration.
As Kane's powers of ice slowly grew out of normal bounds, the administration of the Kallisto Institute began to grow alarmed, worrying that her continued residence there could eventually jeopardize their existence. It was for this reason that she was sent, or more properly deported, around the globe to Elfen High.
Kane's first impression of Headmaster Crowley was not a good one, for whatever inane reason Night can think up. However, for the most part, Elfen High will be able to fit Kane's lifestyle well.
Though they have receded for now, it is inevitable that the Kallisto Institute will take interest in Kane again in the future, once her powers begin to stabilize. It remains to be seen if conflict will be inevitable.
RP Sample: Bleh.
