Elementals
This RP grew out of a story idea I've had knocking around in my head for ages, and figured what better way to try it out than as a RP on NationStates? (Aside from writing it into a proper book, making it a TV show or movie, or some other thing that would result in me actually getting paid for it)
In the beginning, before the world of mortals was born, there was a cataclysmic war in Heaven. The Loyal Host, made up of Pryastar, God of Fire, Hydrata, Goddess of Water, Terestark, God of Earth, Boaltist, God of Lightning, Veridaelia, Goddess of Nature, Froenstia, Goddess of Ice, Aewiallia, Goddess of Wind, and Ferruoston, God of Metal sided with the God of Creation, Jaehlhadon, against his traitorous and corrupted son, Tenaembra, God of Darkness, who had been banished from Heaven from trying to use the power of the Void for his own to surpass the other Gods and dominate all of creation. The War was won by the Loyal Host, but only barely. Knowing what needed to be done to stop Tenaembra from starting another war with the power of the Void, Jaehlhadon sacrificed his Divine and Perfect form to bring form and shape to the seething, chaotic, and to transform it into an orderly, peaceful universe that the Loyal Host could fill with their own creations. As a final act before this new Universe was created, Jaehlhadon created one last God: Caelstion, the Shining God of Light.
And thus the Universe was born; Terestark and Ferruoston forged the planets, Hydraton filled the basins of the rough spheres with his Water, Pryastar made boiling lakes of lava beneath the earth, and blazing balls of Fire in the space between the planets, which Caelstion lit up to ward off darkness and death from the planets. Veridaelia covered the land in lush, viridian forests brimming with life, and Aewiallia tenderly pulled the rain clouds across the skies. And once the Universe was physically formed, there was one last act of Creation the Loyal Host undertook; To create man. Taking attributes from all their Elements they combined them into two beings that walked upright the same way the Gods and Goddesses did. But Tenaembra had not accepted final defeat, and was forming his plans from his prison in the Void realm of Helle.
Tenaembra began sending his own creations to attack the world of Gaiaca that the Loyal Host, foul perversions of the Divine Elements known as Daemons. To respond this threat the Loyal Host made more men, but this time, instead of the passive qualities in the first men they had created, the Loyal Host directly poured their power into their creations, creating the first Elementals.
War between Humanity and Daemons continued on and off for thousands of years, but Tenaembra was never able to gain the upper hand in the war for millennia, so the God of Darkness changed his tactics. Turning to his cunning and treachery, instead of his Daemon hordes, the God of Darkness began slowly corrupting the mortal humans into turning against the Elementals, plunging them deep into a civil war, while Tenaembra's armies recuperated and rearmed.
After 15 years of strife the Elementals went into hiding, as they saw no point in continuing to directly try to lead and protect humanity. Soon afterwards, Tenaembra made his move, sending massive armies of Daemons down to Gaiaca to strike humanity while they were still recovering from their wars. While unable to find the hidden fortresses of the weakened Elementals, the Daemonik armies swept across the human lands, spreading fear and death wherever they went. This continued on for nearly ten years, before the Elementals returned with a vengeance, rapidly turning the tide in favour of humanity, although at terrible costs to themselves in terms of their numbers. The Elementals held the Daemons at bay for thirty years, bringing both themselves and the Daemons to the brink of extinction. The Daemon King Kayarost recovered an ancient artefact of incredible power, the Shard of Rangarok, a device that allowed the user to absorb other beings into themselves to achieve unbelievable power. Using its full power to absorb the remaining entirety of his army into himself, achieving unimaginable levels of power. With his new near-god like strength, he launched a massive attack at the capital of the United Galllian Federation, Hajametsu City. Kayarost, now ascended to Daemonic Behemoth form, left a massive trail of destruction in his wake, burning his way past the armies of the U.G.F, until he laid siege to the mighty city itself.
The Daemonic Behemoth's victory seemed assured, until he was challenged by the Grand Elemental Champion of Fire, Blazek Alsvidster. A massive battle ensued, as Blazek managed to lure away Kayarost from Hajametsu City. Incredibly, the two seemed evenly matched, but Blazek's strength was fading as he struggled to keep the monster at bay. In one final, desperate effort Blazek somehow managed to break inside the monster and destroy it, although at the cost of his own life.
With the Daemon armies slain along with Kayarost in the destruction of the Daemonic Behemoth the terrible war ended, and the remaining Elementals faded into the background again. Fifteen years have passed, during which humanity has continued to rebuild from the war, but the forces of darkness are beginning to stir once again, threatening to cast another shadow of death and despair over Gaiaca...

The United Galllian Federation (U.G.F): The superpower of Gaiaca, this massive nation spans the entire continent of Galllia, the largest continent in the world. It was created out of the various kingdoms and empires that made up the Galllian continent in the wake of the civil wars between humans and Elementals, and was where most of the conflict between the two groups occurred. Its capital city is Hajametsu City, the largest city in the world, which sprawls across an entire island. It has the most advanced technology of all the nations of Gaiaca, with muskets and cannons commonplace in its army, although swords, pikes, halberds and other melee weapons are still prevalent. The United Galllian Navy has the beginnings of a steam-powered fleet, even possessing ironclad warships, though most of its ships are still wooden sailing man-of-wars and frigates. As for civilian technology, railway lines exist between major cities and larger towns, but are slowly spreading out further into the countryside. The main modes of transportation remain carriages and walking, since railway lines and canals are both expensive, difficult or time-consuming to construct in most areas outside of major trade routes and short inter-city roads. Swift communication between government agents and military installations is possible thanks to telegraph lines, though it will be some time before this technology is available to the average citizen.
The Glorious Kingdom of Halvefor: Generally considered the second-strongest nation in Gaiaca, Halvefor is much stronger than might be expected for a nation of its size. While its army is mostly equal with the other smaller nations of Gaiaca, the real military strength of Halvefor is its impressive navy, which even manages to keep nearly technologically equal to the United Galllian Navy. The island kingdom is quite active in trading, exporting its main products like jewellery, pottery, silks and silver. Ruled by His Royal Majesty King Desphan Haljen XII, a reasonable monarch and skilled diplomat.

If you repeatedly go long periods of time without posting and don't give a decent excuse I will take control of your character to keep the RP moving along. Since I don't know most of your characters well, I'll likely end up killing them off or retconning them.
