The first TV in Desperauex was delivered to the President in 1938. The public widely got them in the 40s. The government lowered the price on TVs to entice the public to be tuned to stations issuing Anti-Socialist propaganda.

We first introduced television in 1933. (It didn't become widespread until the late 50s, though.)
Please note: Central Lothian is the direct successor to Mid Lothian*. As a result, I am still called Rebecca, I am still a Grammar Nazi and most information pertaining to ML also applies to CL (although I will be taking this time to change a few things).

* - And I may refer to the country as Mid Lothian. If I do, assume that I mean Central Lothian. (And not to be confused with "Midlothian" - I'm using that as a fascist version of CL.)

In the 1950's. But it was never popular seeing how nothing good was on except human shows (until Vampirum created it's own private network in 1972).

Summer of 1936, the first TV's hit the market. They were rather expensive and only the rich owned them.
TV sales grew rapidly through the 1940s and 1950s however, and by 1960 nearly every home owned at least one.

As we are set in the 1930s, television does exist but it is still in the experimental stages and not yet commercially available. There are no regular television broadcasts.

Commercially? 1947, though it really didn't catch on till 1949 when the economy finally began to recover from the devastation of war, tyranny, and revolution. It was originally developed in the mid 1930s, though.

Television broadcasting in Zokoria started in the year 1939, just before World War II, and early television broadcasts were exclusively in black and white until 1970.

Color television broadcasting wasn't introduced until 1968.

The first Sardakhian TV came in 1954 and was installed in the presidential palace. It is still in use today, in one of the president's rooms. It is occasionally brought to public display - always for no longer than a week - so that the curious public can see it in the nearby Sardakhar Museum of Technology. You can see a picture of the TV below.

The ownership of televisions was a brief fad before our NeuroNet was fully completed. They were compact LCD devices that would uplink to a satellite dish on the top of a building. After the NeuroNet was finished, the functions of a television could be done online on a computer, or viewed in an Augmented Reality Interface anywhere in the city. These days, having a television is seen as trashy and a sign of someone of lower intellect and finances.
