Tiami is cool.
Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".

Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

Now, I will request criticism- Crowley's growing character development and backstory.

Opinions now?

Then Kyoko screams, "MAKE SURE YOU USE PROTECTION GUYS!"
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

It feels off.

Nor does it fit any time period in human history.

In sheer honesty, none of the backstory in general does. There may be an IC reason for this.

I'm pretty sure you've mentioned the Fae War happening during the caveman days before.

And then, suddenly, it was in ancient Egypt, with writing and language and people who would most certainly have records of it in 2020.

I don't like that, to be honest, it was really jarring.

Honestly, I think at this point, there's really no point in keeping him mysterious anymore as he, for the most part, really isn't. We've been through a lot with him, and we've seen a lot of his personality and development. Sure, there are plot-based things that are, and must, remain a mystery, but we still pretty much know just who he is. Thus, there's not much purpose in continuing to hide who he was.

The Demon sighed. He straightened his armor, and grabbed his sword from its place on the wall, above the fireplace. He turned to his wife, and frowned. "Wife," he said solemnly. "I may never return. But our people need me. We fight for freedom. We fight to keep our lands safe from the damned." The Wife nodded, and kissed the Demon's cheek. She cried a little. "I love you," she said. He sighed. "I love you as well."

He left his shack, joining into a line of soldiers, as they marched through the slums. The distant sounds of bullets and magical blasts could be heard. The Demon kept marching on, sword tightly gripped. He would fight for his people, and for his land; for his wife, and young child. And that thought allowed him to fight.

The walls had been breached; it was chaos. An Angel stood, shouting orders to his soldiers. The Demon looked into the distance; he saw his brothers and sisters, in arms. They charged forward, ready to kill him. He drew his sword from its sheathe, and he charged forward with his fellow soldiers. As they ran through mud and puddles, over the bodies of their friends and loved ones. And then the two forces met. The Demon hacked down soldier after soldier, killing his own men. He let out a scream of rage, as he slashed through the skin and bone of his enemies. He felt warm blood splash onto his face and chest, onto his arms, and he felt like his sword was an extension of his own arm. And he killed everyone that crossed his path.

When the fighting had calmed, he was told to move through the wall to fight against other forces. He hacked down an enemy Demon. "Why have you served evil?" The Demon asked, as he beheaded his opponent. He sighed. His Wife must have been worried. But he would return home; he would return to his love and they would be happy, forever.

Until it hit him; literally, something hit him. And he fell, tumbling onto the ground. He looked up, as a man approached. The man was unmistakable in appearance; it was the one called Crowley - the wizard. He was the enemy. He was what the Demon was fighting against. And he was the one who would kill the Demon. And in his last moments, the Demon whispered of his love for his wife and child, the two things that mattered most. He would never see them again.

For ordinary demons, Crowley and Lewis must be unspeakable forces of evil.

However, bearing in mind what we've seen of Azazel's demons (such as Laz), he should be a lot more excited about killing things and give zero shits about dying.

Give or take a few hundred years and the correct circumstances, and, yes, that makes sense.

...How? In any way, how?

I would understand if he showed any hint of being vaguely like Crowley before, but it's like his entire personality curled up and died.

I enjoy meta-humor and self-deprecation. Annoying, right?

Goodbye.

He's called Crowley by Loki. Which means it must be after 1910, or whenever Crowley took the name from Anton's grandfather.

Also, it's mentioned at (I believe) the beginning of Arc 2 that Crowley has two slave boys that appear at whim, and he's had them for hundreds of years.
