Welcome back to another season of soccer! The 4th season of 2012 for the Torisakia Soccer League has begun. With all 26 teams from last year preparing, It's now a great time to make some predictions on what will happen. Last season, the Tokai United Raiders won their 5th title after beating the Tokai Ice Birds in Megabowl LXVIII. Tokai United is looking for another title and their first ever back-to-back titles. That could change this year.

Many teams have gotten a lot better rankings since last season. Tokai United still has the #1 spot in the nation after their championship win. Beachport has it's best ranking since 1997 after finishing 4th in the semifinals. A new team has formed called the East Lake Jethawks. It will be a thrill to see how they do in their debut season. Yasui has it's best ranking since Season 1 of 2012. Presidents City has it's worst ranking since 1956.

The playoff system will be the same as always. The top 8 teams in each conference will go to the playoffs and will follow the same playoff schedule that was used in the first season of 2012. There will now be conference championships played before the Round of 16. The top 2 teams from each conference will play each other to determine the winner of their conference. Regardless of the outcome, the teams who played for a conference championship, whether a loss or win, will still play in the Round of 16. The Championship game will still be a best 3-out-of-5 series.

The Bruch H. Coker Trophy and the Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy will be awarded again this year. The Bruch H. Coker Trophy is awarded to the best player in the league, which was won by Johnny Kelso last season. The Gorbaduc Hogpen-Whitfoot Trophy is awarded to the top 2 players from each conference, which were won by Andrew Henderson and Abkel Johnson from the Grand Conference and Johnny Kelso and Hagos Merbrahtu from the Pro Conference last season.

1. Johnny Kelso(ASFC Criminals)
2. Nathan Hale(Berchem Linx)
3. Andrew Henderson(Tokai Ice Birds)
4. Will Owens(Grand Cane Aztecs)
5. Abkel Johnson(Postmeridian Firebolts)
6. Brady Mergenthal(Douglas La-Pryor Indians)
7. Austin Tyra(Dorrsville Mustangs)
8. Hagos Mebrahtu(Yasui Black Magic)
9. Caleb Rottenberry(Fishmarket North Troubodours)
10. Mathias Hertzog(FC Koradai Knightraiders)

We have some bigger predictions this season than last season. First off, we think that the winner of the Bruce H. Coker Trophy will be Andrew Henderson. Next, we think the best team from each conference will be the Grand Cane Aztecs and Tokai United Raiders. That's also our prediction for the championship game. Now, we aren't gonna make a prediction for the outcome of the championship game. But we are gonna say that Will Owens will have a great season with the Grand Cane Aztecs. So without further ado, we give you the next season of the 2012 Torisakia Soccer League!

The Whirl Islands Premier League Season 18

Eighteen seasons of Whirl Islands Premier League action have already come and gone, so let's have a quick look at what happened this last season...

Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Navel FC 33 20 8 5 70 33 +37 68 CC
2 Navel Sharks 33 20 7 6 73 39 +34 67 CC

3 Portland Greencaps 33 17 6 10 45 39 +6 57 GC
4 FC Atlantis 33 14 11 8 52 51 +1 53 GC
5 Eastburg United 33 15 8 10 39 28 +11 53 GC

6 Athletic Victoria 33 11 10 12 39 38 +1 43
7 Náutico 33 12 4 17 33 46 -13 40
8 Vieux-Port FC 33 8 12 13 41 60 -19 36
9 Lagoon Red Diamonds 33 9 9 15 31 42 -11 36
10 Union FC 33 9 8 16 32 43 -11 35
11 Sparta Navel 33 7 9 17 37 52 -15 30
12 Halcones de Maracaibo 33 4 12 17 25 46 -21 24 REL

And Navel FC have now completed three titles in a row after battling all the season with their arch-rivals Navel Sharks for the WIPL trophy, and although both teams cancelled each other out in the first two Derbies of the season with 1-1 draws, los Rojos managed to win the decisive third derby and held on first place until the last day of the season. Thus, the interesting head-to-head between both teams allowed both of them to claim a Champions' Cup berth for the next season. Also, it looks like Portland Greencaps found their lost style and managed to snatch the bronze medal from the perennial third-placers Atlantis, who had to settle for fourth, and Eastburg claimed fifth place without opposition. It is to be noted that those three teams also punched Globe Cup berths for next season.

In the lower half of standings, we've got Athletic Victoria, who surprised everyone by finishing in sixth place (but still far from the First Champs), both Vieux-Port teams, who amazed (more like, bemused) us with their inconsistency throughout the season but still gave us 3 thrilling derbies, the Red Diamonds in eighth place, who are by far "the failure of the season", and Union and Sparta Navel in their own fight for finishing ahead of the other. As for Halcones de Maracaibo, their loss in Round 1 to Atlantis sent them to last place and they never found the way out since then, deservedly going down to the Campeonato Nacional for next season.

The Whirl Islands Campeonato Nacional Season 20

A new Campeonato Nacional season is over, and Lagoon Crocodiles were able to celebrate another promotion to the highest tier of Whirl-Islander football, leaving FC Terranova frustrated and at the doors of a historical promotion. The biggest disappointment of the season were Narissa Dolphins, who were unable to bounce back to the Premier League and were accordingly punished with another year of frustration here with us at the Campeonato Nacional, and Atlético Narissa made it 3-4 for the northern island by finishing right behind their crosstown rivals. Those four teams were eventually rewarded with SBCC berths for their effort. Racing de Terranova were another disappointment and were even unable to secure a UICA berth thanks to their fifth place, the Seahawks also had a low-flying season which had them finish seventh, and yet another cycle of failure for Olimpia starts with their 11th place. Now, everyone laugh at them!

The Astograthian Football League: Season 652 Review
Preview

The nineteenth season of Astograthian football has concluded, with yet another exiting finish as we approach the landmark twentieth anniversary of the Football League! And as it turns out, the old that is strong does not wither...

First Division
This season's finish was no less of a thriller than any other in the First Division's history, with a single point separating third-place from the top two, Ituraitz FC edging Echegoyan FC on goal difference; a win apiece made them equal on the more important head-to-head results. The four-way race between the Ituraitz, Echegoyan, Urbizania Wanderers and Astograth University lasted almost the entirety of the season, AU dropping out in the final few matchdays. Further down, Oyardo FC established a death-grip on fifth-place and Royal Rumiatzi sunk to a lowly sixth, which had their fans up in arms. Gesterlake FC, for their part, did very well to fend off Ituraitz Victory and Athletic Club Olarria, earning their first Globe Cup participation.

Blue Mountain Range remained true to their defensive tradition but once more displayed a complete lack of offensive power; Gortz United put in a decent showing, though its back was often found lacking; South Factory were not up to expectations on their return but are nonetheless glad to be back and alive; Royal Ibarbe are ecstatic to have only just escaped relegation, which they achieved on the final matchday in an excruciating draw with Oyardo – a loss would have sent them to the Second Division and their opponents to the Champions' Cup. The Army Club were the unlucky losers of Ibarbe's scrape, coming up short and ending their six-year spell in the top flight. The minnows of Urizaharra FC and an uncharacteristically erratic Lermendia FC will join them down there.

Most of these places were pretty much secure by fateful matchday 30, however. What definitely wasn't was the championship itself. Heading in, Echegoyan FC stood on 61 points and would play away to South Factory; Ituraitz FC had 59 and would be receiving Gortz United for a north coast derby; and Urbizania Wanderers, after a ridiculous 8-4 loss to Athletic Club Olarria, were on 58 points and would take on fourth-placed Astograth University at home. An Echegoyan win would hand them the title. A draw would also, so long as Ituraitz didn't win. A loss would put them at further risk, within reach of Wanderers...

Some of the tensest 90 minutes in Astograth followed. By the end of the first half, Ituraitz led Gortz 2-0, Echegoyan stood bewildered as South Factory beat them 2-1 and Wanderers were scoreless. Thirty minutes later, Ituraitz were going all-out, furiously attacking a Gortz that had managed to equalise at the Ituraitz Sporting Ground Echegoyan were still down 3-2; and Iulian Finnibaturinn had given Wanderers the opener against Astograth University, in a very heated match that was not bereft of red cards for either side – the memory of their Royal Cup semifinal was still very fresh.

With these results, the champions would be Wanderers, even on 61 points with Echegoyan but with a better head-to-head record. That lasted until super-sub striker Eddie Barlow picked up Urrutia's pass and flicked the ball past Zuiverloon, putting them 3-3 and one point over Wanderers. The travelling fans at the Foundry went crazy, as did about the half the city itself, but the celebration proved to be premature.

With seven minutes of the entire tournament to spare, a scramble in Gortz United's box ended with Tomas Aer running up to rifle the ball into the net, bringing the whole stadium down as he tore off his shirt, ran out onto the track and celebrated wildly. The news arrived quickly in Rumiatzi, but the blow was too large for an already troubled Echegoyan. Their match ended in a draw, Wanderers efforts were for naught; and Tomas Aer had, with one goal, effectively won Ituraitz FC their record-equalling fifth league title. Soter Sarlange, the Astograthian national team's top scorer and most-capped player of all time, lifted the trophy as captain and retired from football in exactly the way he'd always wanted.

Second Division
For the first time ever, the teams promoted to the Astograthian top flight are the exact same three that were relegated last season, in inverted order. Royal Association ran away with the trophy, while Miners FC and Athletic Club Rumiatzi rightfully make a return – further down, of the four sides with First Division tradition, only Ximun Orieta will be making a SBCC appearance to appease them.

ROYAL CUP FINAL
@ Grand Duke's Stadium, Rumiatzi
Urbizania Wanderers 1-0 Royal Rumiatzi

A few years later, the final was all anyone would remember of this season's Royal Cup. Not Lermendia FC's breaking of the largest aggregate win record with their 15-0 obliteration of General Errekart. Not the rebranded Royal Ibarbe's run, which included a riling derby against Ibarbe Youth and the nerve-wracking elimination of Ituraitz FC. Not the semifinal between Wanderers and Astograth University, which ended with spitting and fistfights after Ikatz Ansotegi scored from a contested penalty that the referee ordered be retaken, Argider Gorriaran saving the first shot.

What everyone talked about and would remember was the final between Urbizania Wanderers and Royal Rumiatzi. A titanic clash between the new and the old, between styles of play and fan culture. Signing policies and youth setups, their underlying philosophy. Most importantly, the match-up of the country's most popular, most wealthy, most powerful, most hated and most traditionally successful club against another that, being none of these things, is the only one in Astograth to have won the UICA Champions' Cup.

Royal Rumiatzi went to Grand Duke's Stadium shamed of their sixth place finish, counting on the home advantage of their own city to put them over the inspired men of Urbizania. They were full of themselves, certain of a victory at home; indeed, Ellis Elsmvikur, Harold Nehafsaim and Vladimir Konovalov put the Wanderers' defense to the sword till well into the second half. Which was when desperation and fatigue began to set in, and the opposition took advantage.

A beautiful move started by Finnitaburinn went to Baez, returned to the Polarian some ways up, went to Alaberri on the right, then Hawk, up to Ansotegi who tussled with Jantot and played it in for the Vanorian legend. Laborious Hawk had no mercy, rounding Cheru Larretape to score the winner. Game, set and match for the Wanderers, who rightfully celebrated as the fans and defeated players filed out, pain and disappointment all over their faces. Most of all manager Norman Kerrick, who was shortly informed of his sacking by the club directors.

STADIUM BID
CHAMPIONS' CUP - GRAND DUKE'S STADIUM, RUMIATZI
Image

Once again, the FAF will submit for the UICA's consideration Grand Duke's Stadium, which with seating for 90 thousand people, is by far the largest stadium in all of Astograth. Making full use of its multipurpose pitch and track, the arena hosts a variety of sporting events throughout the year; as a rule the only football games to regularly take place at Grand Duke's are the Royal Cup final at the very end of the season and the Astograthian national team's home matches, which is why simply being there can be a dream come true for Astograthian players.

Besides those matches already mentioned, Grand Duke's Stadium has also hosted the very first Ides of March Cup, contested annually by the league champions of Astograth and Polar Islandstates, as well as the final of the eighth Copa Rushmori, the third place matches of the 48th Cup of Harmony and the 45th Baptism of Fire, and the World Cup 62 Final won by The Holy Empire over Bears Armed.

The stadium itself is very modern and fully equipped to stage any tournament, with retractable stands that extend over the track, allowing for an increased capacity and closer view during events that don't require the use of the athletics track. For the Champions' Cup final, the organisers promise the utmost security and ease of transit for all fans, cooperating with the authorities to stage a truly memorable encounter. Commemorative plaques will be installed alongside those of the winners of the aforementioned matches. The opening and closing ceremonies will save no expense, and Grand Duke Lastur himself will hand over the trophy personally if allowed.

STADIUM BID
GLOBE CUP - SILANES PARK, ECHEGOYAN
Image

The FAF would like to submit for the UICA's consideration as a Globe Cup venue, the newly-built Silanes Park in Echegoyan. The stadium, which seats 55,140 people, was constructed to host World Cup 62, perhaps most memorably serving as the site of a quarterfinal and two top-level encounters in the group stage (the Sylvanaes Queendom against the Archregimancy and later Bears Armed). Echegoyan FC have moved in as the ground's permanent tenants, leaving behind the more traditional Ximun Orieta Sporting Ground due to increased demand.

The structure itself is top-of-the-line, built to stringent international standards in order to adequately host football's flagship national team event. The main and rear stands are roofed, close to the pitch and house plentiful VIP boxes, while the very tall, steep ends remain affordable to the average fan without compromising security or atmosphere. The city of Echegoyan, meanwhile has committed to provide special transportation arrangements for visitors.

Needless to say, commemorative plaques will be installed, the opening and closing ceremonies will save no expense, and Grand Duke Lastur himself will hand over the trophy personally if allowed.

Having clinched the league and cup double Ballypiast Colliery will be Inis na Dún first representatives at the Atlantian Oceania Champions League. The Football Union of Inis na Dún also put forward the following stadium as a potential host of the final.

Bridge Park – 30,000 (Tailteann)

Famed as the home of the Tailteann Games, an event featuring a number of local traditional sports, Bridge Park is known for it's stunning location. Built as part of the development of the Tailteann Bridge, a megastructure built to link the Sorthern town of Durness and Inis na Dún. Though the bridge has been closed and fallen into disuse since the collapse of the Sorthern state an area of parkland around the Inis na Dún end of it has thrived with the Bridge Park stadium being at the heart of that.

The very first League Cup was held, with the teams from the top four tiers taking part. None other than Scott City FC took the championship, over the Strykers. Scott City FC wasn't even close to losing a game until the Final, and that was only for the first twenty-six minutes. Augusta suffered a suprising defeat to the Whitecaps in the Quarterfinals. With the win, Scott City FC qualify to the Cygnus Cup, hoping to repeat their performance from the last Cup.

Gordonopia Premier League
2017 Season Preview

Image
Now past the half-decade mark, The Gordonopia Premier League continues to grow. Much anticipation rests on this season, making it just as, if not more, exciting than the last.

The league is now ranked 15th in the world, making it second outside of a major sports region and first in Greater Dienstad. Once again, there will be two Chapmions' Cup slots, but if the league can put in a stellar performance during UICA competition, there's a minute chance that the league could move into the auto-group stage tier. This fact will only drive the teams to more competition, making the race for the cup more intense.

For the first time, a team has returned from relegation: Tolven. Relegated in the first season, Tolven won the Inter-League Cup last year to take Fusba United's spot. However, this isn't your granddaddy's Tolven, literally. The team has been widely followed due to its prodigious use of young, fast players, and it is far and away the youngest in the league, with more than half of its starters under the age of 20.

Teams to Watch

FC Deska

How can the Northern Wall not be mentioned? In arguably better shape than its co-dominant rival, Kaje Football, going into
Image
this year, Deska met the major loss of Roger Steiner to Astograth with a major signing: Thorvar Prijholm of the powerful Mytannion National Team. The legendary defensive team is ranked 49th in the world, making it the only Gordonopian team in the top 50, and it wants to continue its dominance at home. With a seller season, Deska might just be the first team to break 100 regular season wins.

West Tolten

Image
For West, this season may be a last hurrah. With the legendary Norm Bates, the National Team Captain and GPL assist record holder, retiring after the season, and Kjinin Dijn joining him, West will lose its last two links to its Gordonopia Cup Win in the final GFA season. The team will certainly be putting in its best effort to make sure that those two don't disappear without a show. With its formidable offense, though, this is certainly within reach. Perhaps West can even be the squad that breaks the Deska-Kaje duopoly.

Year 2025 FAS season

Continuing the tradition of domestic firsts in the Saugeais Premier League, Pays de Croix is the first team ever to win every, single competition that it can in a single season. It stormed away with the League Cup, win an epic dogfight in the FAS Cup final against League 1 team Real Gilley, but the avalanche all started with the Charity Shield victory over Maystead first thing. Tito Moreno, Western Cuban international and single season scoring record holder, came out publicly in support of his squad, saying "the team has done everything we can domestically. I think it's time to start focusing on the new task at hand: the TakilQuip Champions Cup." Saugeain teams have floundered internationally for the past decade, so him coming out with this statement shook the Saints', and rest of the country by proxy, fans into a frenzy. Whether or not they go back to the land of champions remains to be seen this season.

As Pays de Croix took all honors last season, their opponent for the Charity Shield this year will be league runner up Royalwich. The Lions are headed by their captain, 35 year old midfielder Daniel Day, along with out of favor Saugeain international striker Turlough Bailey. The Saints and Moreno are hoping for another strong start to their season, while Royalwich are looking to find the slightest bit of an edge against their opponents, hoping to turn this exhibition into something meaningful during the season. Both squads are playing for the newly created National Fitness Initiative, dedicated to getting the youth of Saugeais up and active, encouraging them to participate in sport.

FSSO based teams to be entered into the following competitions:

Champions Cup: Ulsa
Globe Cup: Bastion, Directus, Revolutionaries
Cygnus Cup: Ulsa
SBCC: Hornchurch, Usmer, AFC Mayville

------------------------------------------------

Pre-Season 10 Transfers

Ulsa have revitalised their squad after years of aging and decline giving them a serious shot at the title. Long term servants Jonathan Steele, Grant Davis and Craig Castleton have all been offloaded while Cornelius Barnes has retired. Coming in are some very promising players; the superb Workers Union centre back Lyle Heath, attacking left back Colin Collymore (controversially sold by top five rivals Revolutionaries), promising young striker Sam Ashtree on the back of his 14 goals in his debut season and Colin Nelson. Meanwhile Bastion have replaced the retiring journeyman midfielder Persa Ryans with Joan Cruft from relegated Hornchurch, alongside right back Vinko Horvat from Mytannion. Sword City have splashed the cash in an attempt to stay up after winning the Silver League title by paying £5m for Sameba international Russell Lachland while Thagarnia have been more modest in their outlay, securing Ben Quinn and Michael Cook from relegated sides for little expense. Holdenberg City, returning to the top flight after a season long absence, have no Pola Grabnyak equivalent this time but their squad is strong generally and the experienced Jonathan Steele, signed from Ulsa for only £2m, should do enough to keep them up.

Workers Union's battle against relegation is set to be fought without Lyle Heath but they have solved their goalkeeper problem by bringing in Andy Quinn from AFC Mayville, while securing the now 39 year old Ulsa legend Grant Davis for one season in a move that shocked many; he will likely retire at the end of the season regardless of his new sides fate. Honeybadgers are still hurting from the money blown on the mediocre Val Kylx (letting go a real gem in Mike Adams in the process, a right winger who scored 19 goals in his first 29 games at Feardallis Wanderers) but will hope Mytanar hot prospect Stanislav Navratial will improve their fortunes. In contrast Lajuno have done surprisingly little to improve their squad after breaking the 'big five' last season, losing two of their veteran Astograthian players in the summer and only bringing in Itorian midfielder David Ormondhall. Some free transfers have been made too, two very good ones - Holdenberg managed to pull off a real coup by signing FSSO No. 2 goalkeeper Simon Neeson on a free after he left his club in Erathore, while Directus have addressed their lack of a specialist left back by signing 22 year old Audioslavia hot prospect Claus Rijsbergen on a free.

Most importantly however some very prominent players in Euran domestic football have retired this summer. Bastion midfielder Persa Ryans, with over 150 caps for his country, is the biggest name to go after a long career full of success and respect from his peers, as well as appearing in a World Cup final. Civil Citizenry's much loved Clevon Drago also called time on his career after years of success and several titles at Revolutionaries, deciding he could not carry on beyond 36 due to injury and lack of activity from the international team. A trio of Sameba's best players retired leaving their international team quite bare - Hamilton Robery and Recobo, two forwards who terrorised Euran defences for years, finally hung up their boots while Cornelius Barnes also called time on his career. Erlantz Izagirre and Intza Basurto, Lajuno's pair of veterans from Astograth, called time on their careers after a last successful season. Finally there was the retirement of 37 year old Carl Coffa, an FSSO league journeyman, who played for 10 teams in a 20 year career where he played 845 games and scored 51 goals.

Season 6 · 95X Year 48

The season began shortly after AOCAF 38, with two surprise moves that stymied even the most hardcore observers:
  • Only two seasons after publicly insisting she would only play for the Pacific City Nationals, Xi Foureleven signed with SC Oceanside, in a contract making her the highest-paid professional sports player in 95X. Despite that surprise, reporters instead ask her where she got her plastic surgery done to look extremely young, which she denies having.
  • Those familiar with the history of 95X Soccer will remember Melissa/Michelle Mitchell, a famous player who had two legs, two arms, and two heads; despite her minds being psychologically separate she was one person (this was proven when she died as both brains stopped having activity at exactly the same time). She was cloned, with the main clone raised in a top-secret research facility in Scottfire. This clone, Melischelle Marquam, is now old enough to play soccer in 95X, is also quite good, and signed with the Pacific Beach Combers. (It will obviously take her some time to develop.)
Both of these are important as Xi Foureleven is very familiar with the original's style and is absolutely disgusted by the amount of attention Mitchell drew. Enter a natural rivalry of "take-it-seriously-24/7" vs. "it's-a-game-have-fun-trying-to-win."

With the top 4 finishing far from each other, there were no playoffs or official championship game. SC Oceanside was declared champion after dominating the season. That and the league decided that they didn't want their most successful team in UICA events which now featured the best soccer player in 95X to not have a chance to improve on their performance. On a 14-2 vote, the league's owners agreed.

Falconwhereveryouare Primary Division -- Season 29
Preview

(Some teams referenced in transfers are farm teams and will not show up in scorination.)

Transfers [Mode of Transfer]
Quinn Mullen to Lywik Amateur from Lywik FC [Send-down]
Dugurkhan Sultygov to Lywik FC from Olympic Thessia (Mytannion)[Cash]
Dan Runzler of Falcus FC Retires
Edward Truesdale of Falcus FC Retires
Kisra Heron to Falcus FC from Young Falcons[Call-up]
Svidga Svendersson to Falcus FC from Reedring FC[Cash]
All Remaining Reedring FC Players: Outright Released
C.F. Moreazerua (Audioslavia) Bought by Reedring FC [Cash]

Well... I'm sure that's something not too often seen. Reedring FC, after their record high finish of eighth in Season 28, have pressed the big red button and ejected their entire roster. To replace them, they bought an entire Audioslavian amateur team. Most are young players with good talent, but the only real standout is Ari Salbatzailea, one of the backup keepers on the Audioslavian national team. It'll be interesting to see how they match up with Falconwhereveryouare's best. Apparently Reedring's rich fanbase was unhappy with their team's continued mediocrity, and was calling for things to be shaken up. Lywik FC continued on its mad (but less whole-sale) spending spree, bringing in yet another international talent to try and shove them to the top. After the 5th place finish last year, young defensive midfielder Dugurkhan Sultygov might be just the centerpiece they need to break into the Globe Cup spots. Meanwhile, half of Falcus' midfield decided to hang up their cleats after their disappointing 6th place finish. Swapping out the reliable oldies for two young untested talents, they bought Svidga Svendersson from the liquidating Reedring and pulled up Kisra Heron at just 18 years of age. I'm not sure how well they'll be able to compete, as half of their team is very inexperienced and the other half is getting old. We might see them dip in the rankings a bit while they try and figure out where they'll go in the future.

It seems like all the top teams have been taking turns claiming the championship over the past few years, so it seems reasonable to assume Umber FC will take it this year; after all, their talent has only been improving and many of their players have just entered their prime. All the players have plenty of experience and the only truly aged portion is the central defense; but when you have someone like Boris Halth back there, age doesn't matter. His playcalling combined with the solid Klaus Nicols in goal kept the rest of the league at bay, leading the Primary Division in least goals allowed. Meanwhile, up front, Chester Highfield is looking to add a ring to his trophies. He has a gaggle of Platinum Cleats thanks to his prolific goalscoring, but he still lacks the championship that would cement him as one of Falconwhereveryouare's legendary players. And we can all tell from his demeanor that that's what he really wants.

If Umber FC takes the top spot, then it's reasonable to thing los Azules should follow up on last season's Championship to finish in second. Nevil Nowak isn't getting any younger, but he can still put the ball in the net--though he'll undoubtedly be relying more on his younger counterpart, Rhett Wiggins. After Wingipeg FC, Nestingham FC probably has the best shot at third; Perry Dempsy and Myles Marrero may share time on the National Team, but they're still sharing the pitch at The Krast and remain a potent combination. Lywik FC should be the strongest challenger for the last Globe Cup spot, with all the international talent they've brought in. However, they'll have their hands full holding off Stanislava Hertz--I mean, the Wingers (she really is the only thing that makes the team work)--and Umber Lumber, who are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing seventh-place finish and to get as much out of Gordonopia's Vonn Mjan before his contract is up.

The second half of the standings will be almost entirely determined by how well the Audioslavian players of Reedring acclimate to the Primary Division. A strong showing by them will almost certainly doom Winterfell and Kalta to a relegation fight with the extremely young Longbarrow side and the wildly inconsistent Sheaver Seamen. A failure raises the possibility of Winterfell FC challenging the aging Falcus FC for a better mid-table finish, while one of the yo-yo teams might be spared another relegation.

Taeshan League Preview

*Denotes Captains
**Denotes Foreigner
Atlantea Hurricanes

Ground:Atlantea Coliseum 590,000
Manager:Alexander White
Colors:Blue and Green
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Win the League
Starters:Martin, Northcliff**, Miller, Smyth, Sebastian**, Malote**, Klose, Knickerbocker, Morris, Zaucier, Inmora**
ReservesHewitt, Latrobe, Raț**, Taft, Klassen, Klose, Lane
Sponsor:Atlantea Business Association
Nickname(s):Hurricanes, Canes
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:2nd
Team InfoWith the best season in recent history now behind them a veteran Atlantea team now looks to continue their hot streak towards the end of last season this year. With Knickerbocker now captain for club and for country the team now has a group of leaders and another group of youngsters to fire up the team in the new season. One unknown factor will be former U21 Goalkeeper Jacob Martin starting his first professional season and the trials he may go through to prove he is deserving of being the Hurricanes starter.

Bayern Phoenix

Ground:Old Club Stadium 77,000
Manager:Tyler Smith
Colors:Red and Blue
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Win the Championship
Starters:Glee, Styles, Ewing**, Drummond, Russell**, Austin, Hagerty, Bauer, Pato, Moffat, Petreas
ReservesJones, Federov, Peachy, Marks, Landsaw, Baker
Sponsor:Glendale Pharmacy
Nickname(s):Phoenix
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:3rd
Team InfoThe Bayern Phoenix also came close last season to winning the cup again, but now they have grown as a team through that struggle and have more experience than many of the other teams that will challenge this season for the championship. The virtually unknown squad is still able to work together to beat many of the nationally teamers who work together elsewhere in the country, this season may show many surprises to many teams including the Phoenix.

Bayern-Algaer

Ground:Bayern Stadium 24,000
Manager:Miron Prentice
Colors:Red and Black
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Win League, Beat the Phoenix
Starters:Suarez, Faulkner, Skiles, Bubela**, Hawk, Rat, Puse**, Ptolemy*, Jack-Bentley**, Shrew, Kljestan
ReservesRose, Falk, Llana, Rainn, Seifreet
Sponsor:Weaver, Smith and Wrangler
Nickname(s):Weavers
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:20th
Team InfoWell that was not the season anyone expected from Bayern-Algaer. Recently three time champions and then 20th. A big reason was due to Isaac Jack-Bentley’s leg injury and the resulting bad chemistry between the rest of the team. Now though many fans think that they can figure it out, and have a really big chance to return to their former level of play.

Blacklake Blues

Ground:Blacklake Blues Ballpark 79,000
Manager:Karl Ash
Colors:Blue and Green
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Stay in top division
Starters:Voorheis, Tamapher, Edu, Neverland*, Tyler, Mohammed**, Conrad, Kafka**, Salvador, McLane, Angel
Reserves:Fletcher, Foxtrot, Saltzer, Galadriel, Everdeen
Sponsor:Blacklake Brewery
Nickname(s):Blues
Offseason Moves:Bought CM Gabriel Mohammed from Celtic Rangers F.C.
Last Season Finish:14th
Team InfoAnother below average season for the Blues and very few changes once again from the tight pocketed managerial staff. Bringing in Antoletian midfielder Gabriel Mohammed though could spark the team to success, and at the cheap price it may well be worth it.

Capetown Croc’s

Ground:Capetown Stadium 34,000
Manager:Anyell Petrius
Colors:Black and Green
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Stay topside
Starters:Wanner, Walker, Georgina, Cauller, Mellinger, Slannet, Fox, LaChette, Inyetu, Ching, Ralston*
ReservesSmoker, Grant, Saul, Ox, Kefer
Sponsor:TMI Lighting
Nickname(s):Croc’s, The Ancients
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:11th
Team InfoCapetown made a place for itself in the top 12 in the Premier League last year. Realistically the chances of them staying around in the top 12 though are quite unrealistic, but they should be able to take their chances were they can.

[color=#]Docktown Deathdogs[/color]

Ground:Docktown Memorial Stadium 490,000
Manager:Bob Lee
Colors:Red, Blue and Black
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Avoid Relegation
Starters:Max, Conway, Jefferson, Tweed, Barker, Sanchez, Loch, Peterson, Quail, Cornhololio*, Farnsworth
ReservesPatrick, Soldier, Morgan, Fielder, Jackson
Sponsor:Dog Brothers Funeral Home
Nickname(s):Deathdogs
Offseason Moves:NA
Last Season Finish:2nd Erste Liga
Team InfoFinally after 14 years in the second division the Docktown Deathdogs will be returning to the premier league after a 2nd place finish in the Erste Liga. The Deathdogs are a young team, who could stay around for a while if they click like they did the season before.

Fadrön Flight

Ground:Fadrön University Field 89,000
Manager:Capricorn Mayuscula
Colors:Green and Red
Fan Support:Low
Expectations:Compete for Globe Cup spots
Starters:Casanova*, Smyth, Parker, Robinson, Miller, Bodreau, Scott, Faujeau, Fiery, Flanders, Foxx
Reserves:Parks, Fitzgerald, Flanders, Argo, Parsons
Sponsor:Taeshan Air
Nickname(s):Flight, Flyers
Offseason Moves:Bought CAM Tyler Fiery from Tar Pit, Bought SS Corona Flanders from X Island Metrostars, and bought ST Xavier Foxx from Ying Jing Yankees.
Last Season Finish:18th
Team InfoAfter another below average team for the Flight they went out and bought a new forward corps and will be looking for a better offensive output for the Flight. One can only hope that they will do better than they did in the previous season.

FC Tenacity

Ground:Englmarkt Arena 46,000
Manager:Zackary Villanueva
Colors:Blue, Green and Black
Fan Support:Low
Expectations:Stay top Flight
Starters:Kohler, Sommers, Jameek, Stevens, Ortz, Cardinal, McHenry, Frenchie, Abreu*, Kyles, Minotaur
ReservesSlayze, Foles, Cassleburg, Borne, Stiles
Sponsor:Englmarkt
Nickname(s):The Checkers
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:17th
Team InfoThe Checkers still manage to look good, and our very young and have speed in the midfield. They might not have broken into the top ten in recent years, but overall they have been solid and are looking to surprise coming into the new season.

Knightspurs

Ground:The Dome 92,300
Manager:Konar Sanchez
Colors:Purple and Powder Blue
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Continue the Magic
Starters:Celani, Sanders, Provyay, Argo, Young**, Forrestor, Connor, von Hittite, Weinreich, Bouvieau, Williamson*
ReservesMedyedva, Garden, Prescott, Murray, Walker
Sponsor:Tae-Mart
Nickname(s):Spurs, Knights
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:6th
Team InfoThe Spurs surprised last year with a new and improved squad a year removed from their horrible season after over half the team left in the offseason. The team now looks to continue to gel after a 6th place finish to do better than they did the year before.

Laketown F.C.

Ground:Laketown Football Stadium (70,000)
Manager:Vladimir Ash
Colors:Green, Purple and Blue
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Stay Top Flight
Starters:Baker, Reyna, Farnsworth, Piazza, Raynor, Bondz, Guggenheim, Synclair*, Cavanaugh, Liebowitz, Partridge
ReservesLamar, Markus, Canoe, Tahara, Pontius
Sponsor:Laketown Lumber
Nickname(s):Purple Crosses
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:13th
Team InfoA surprising first season in the Premier League for the Purple Crosses. Now they have to continue like the team they could be. For the team to win though they will have to rely on a very solid midfield to hold the ball and move it forwards.

Laketown Rangers

Ground:Stadium on the Lake 90,000
Manager:Jose Williams
Colors:Blue, Blue and More Blue
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Compete for Globe Cup spot
Starters:Cataguay, Denver, Flag, Vlies, Larsen, Grgic**, Kylss, Saracin, Rosseau*,**, Rolston, Pavelski**
Reserves:Toraven, Piper, Suchomel, Mathers, Weaver
Sponsor:Laketown Police Academy
Nickname(s):Rangers
Offseason Moves:Bought RB Brady Larsen from Tar Pit, and Andrew Kylss from Mierton Manatees.
Last Season Finish:1st
Team Info A second championship for Francois Rosseau and the Laketown Rangers and they are now on the map. The Rangers will look to return the top of the Taeshan Premier League. The team still has a lot of speed and youth and could very well end this league before it starts.

Los Riosa Monstas

Ground:Gangsters Park 99,000
Manager:Greg Loshie
Colors:Blue and Yellow
Fan Support:High
Expectations: High Middle Pack
Starters:Walcott, Fasnacht, Sanderson, Johnson, Lee, Overland**, Tyke, Justini, Baumgarten*, **, Clapton, McMicheal
ReservesPaterson, Green, Rikke, Mellinger, Ash
Sponsor:Taeshan Mob
Nickname(s):Monstas, Gangstas
Offseason Moves:Bought RB Michael Johnson from Mierton Manatees and bought RM Vladimir Justini from Tar Pit.
Last Season Finish:8th
Team InfoLos Riosa’s Polarian players continued to lead the team this season, with captain Steffan Baumgarten finishing second behind Francois Rosseau in goals last season. Now the Monstas are looking to win the championship for the first time in over 20 years.

Moresville FC

Ground:Moresville Brewery Park
Manager:Tom Gardener
Colors:Orange, and Yellow
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Stay top Flight
Starters:Stewart, Smoker, Lydie, Jaffacake, McAndrews, Hoover, Raphael, Perry, Salisbury, Smyth, Pallete*
ReservesWhite, Hart, Lane, Parul-Mundeke, Wembley
Sponsor:Moresville Brewery
Nickname(s):The Owls
Offseason Moves:Bought GK Jeb Stewart from Moresville FC and bought RM Parry Perry from Ying Jing Yankees.
Last Season Finish:7th
Team InfoThe men and women from Moresville have something great going, a top ranked defense a top ranked offense and they may well win the cup at some point. The Owls are a great team and they really could surprise the country by winning it all.

Mt Ceabring Thunder

Ground:Mt Ceabring Athletic Complex 10,000
Manager:Micheal Lupin
Colors:Brown and Cream
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Win the cup. Who cares what else you do?
Starters:Hassel**, Skiles, Tyrony*, Oosten, Street, Martan, Shanahan, Crane, Gorchakov**, Laravy, Zul’Zorander
ReservesFaulkner, Swanson, Walker, Veira, Baines
Sponsor:Kane Industries
Nickname(s):Thunder
Offseason Moves:Bought LB Coby Skiles from Mt Ceabring Thunder and bought RM Skylar Crane from Tar Pit.
Last Season Finish:10th
Team InfoA valiant effort by the Thunder in the last championship attempt. 10th among a bevy of strong teams really showed the teams worth, especially without Arturo Arthur leading them. The weird thing was their lose in the finals of the Fadron Pizza cup, losing big. It marked the first time ever they have made it to a final and lost. Bow they are 6/7 in 12 total Fadron Pizza cups. This in its own right is quite amazing.

New Capetown Falcons

Ground:New Capetown Memorial Park 100,111
Manager:Ezekiel Wallace
Colors:Pink, Red and Grey
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Middle Pack
Starters:Obliski, Blake, Bates**, Ricard**, Smilles, van Tonder**, Tlumach, Connel, Sommers, Frank, Gregovich
ReservesJackson, Packer, Brady, Godula, Youndt
Sponsor:Falcon Brewery
Nickname(s):Falcons
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:5th
Team InfoA qualification to the international club scene and New Capetown has found itself once again. The Falcons are an above average team and with a young midfield and striking corps they could very well shock in the years to come.

Ojian Orangemen

Ground:Ojian Principality Field 99,000
Manager:Matt Wanner
Colors:Orange and Blue
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Compete for Globe Cup spot
Starters:Mole, Fields, Whitehorse, Kuruchet, Broley, Styer, Nostradamus, Nagin**, Kreider, Portmanteau*, Walls
ReservesAnglo, Dragus, Pigeon, Mortimer, Kent
Sponsor:Orange Lake Benefit Society
Nickname(s):Orangemen
Offseason Moves:Bought LWB Jediah Styer from Tar Pit.
Last Season Finish:19th
Team InfoOjian has not done as poorly as they did last year in a long while. The new players needed time to gel and they never really got it. In a league where anyone and everyone seems to be relegated year in and year out they will need to do it fast or face the consequences soon.

Real Atlantea

Ground:The Wheelhouse 69,069
Manager:George Baggio
Colors:Aqua and Red
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Avoid Relegation
Starters:Torje, Gordon, Quilez, Jackal, Wasser, Penterby*, Morse, Steel, Jordan, Glasgow, Wozniachi
ReservesGarden, Peters, Marks, Portia, Jannis
Sponsor:Poplaberg
Nickname(s):The Shepherds
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:15th
Team InfoWithout their rivals from across the cities funds and resources they are far from having the ability to bring in new talent and keep the old talent from leaving. The Shepherds are lucky they continue to stay in the premier league, and if they hope to continue their current stay they have to hope they come across some money in the sand.

Real Chinchinhua

Ground:Real Stadium on the Lake 99,001
Manager:Mefusula White
Colors:Red and Purple
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Compete for Championship
Starters:Doller, Thomas, Sacha, Augustini**, Laake**, Berns, Houck, Palisades, Fullerton, Flowne*, Oberholtzer
ReservesChimes, Tarhito, McCoy, Micheal, Fawkes
Sponsor:Water Solutions of Lake Minor
Nickname(s):Chihuahuas
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:9th
Team InfoIf there is one thing you can count on from the Premier league year in and year out it’s the men from Chinchinhua finishing in the top ten. They may not always be the sexy pick to win a lot of games, but they always manage to do about as good as the years before.

Sleepy Hollow

Ground:Mort Field (69,000)
Manager:Joseph Anderson
Colors:Black, White and Gray
Fan Support:Low
Expectations:Avoid relegation
Starters:Henry, Josef, Ricard, Aime, Douglas, Patrick, Drew, Barnaby, Johnson, Nancy, Crane
ReservesMartin, Kyle, Mathew, Fischer, Joshua
Sponsor:Ogilvy Real Estate
Nickname(s):Wranglers
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:22nd
Team InfoSleepy Hollow may continue to look like the type of the team ready for relegation but once again they managed to take down their opponents in the promotion playoffs from the second division. They still won’t stay above falling by much, but they really aren’t doing much beyond finishing close to the bottom.

Sparta F.C.

Ground:Spartan Stadium 24,000
Manager:Ainge Blakes
Colors:Red, Turquoise and Purple
Fan Support:Spartan
Expectations:Avoid Relegation
Starters:High, Coxx, Williams, Fraze, Johnson, Copone, White*, Miller, Kurtz, Brown, Dee
ReservesAutumn, June, Marsh, Frack, Forest
Sponsor: Giroux Caisses Populaires
Nickname(s):The Red Sea
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:1st Erste Liga
Team InfoIt didn’t take long for the men from Sparta to pull of the reversal and head back to the first division. They won the league, and did it pretty handedly and now look to stay top flight for a few years.

Tintown Terrapins

Ground:Tintown Stadium 23,000
Manager:Josiah Grant
Colors:White and Jade
Fan Support:Low
Expectations:Compete for Championship
Starters:Harding, Steinmetz, Gorzon, Palisades, Denver, Foster, Icicle, Dover*, Conors, Constantinescu**, Ortiz
ReservesPatrick, Marx, Axel, Quiroz, Hewitt
Sponsor:Tintown Ironworks
Nickname(s):Terrapins
Offseason Moves:Bought GK Kohl Harding from X Island Metrostars, and bought LF Filip Constantinescu from 3.14.
Last Season Finish:4th
Team InfoWith a great season last year, and now the services of the prolific Antoletian marksmen Filip Constantinescu the men from Tintown may well be one of the biggest threats for glory this season.

Wiechester FC

Ground:Fadron Pizza Field at Wonder Park 250,000
Manager:Muazong Kuha
Colors:Red and Black
Fan Support:Very High
Expectations:Compete For Championship
Starters:Jourdain, Cline, Lantern, O’Leavy, Aimes, Goings, Martin, Ogilvy, Werner, Handy, Woods
ReservesHornet, Parneau, Walken, Benson, Carswell
Sponsor:Tae-Mart
Nickname(s):Ballers
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:21st
Team InfoA rather unsurprising season for the men from Wiechester and the Ballers barely managed to stay around once again with the win in the promotion playoffs. Good money is on a return back to the second division soon.

X Island Marauders

Ground:X Island Metropark 200,000

Colors:Black and White
Fan Support:High
Expectations:Compete for Globe Cup Spot
Starters:Dumitrescu**, Miller, Styer, Corner*, Goober, Micheals, Bassini, Jacobs, Lewis, Perans, Olback
ReservesWatson, Torterra, Tyrell, Lampeter, Fly
Sponsor:Winehold Crematorium
Nickname(s):Marauders
Offseason Moves:None
Last Season Finish:12th
Team InfoJust barely in the top half and the Marauders did a great job leading themselves out of the desert and into the sun. They now look to continue to improve as a team and make their way into the upper echelons of the league once again.

Yaton FC

Ground:Yaton Insurance Park 88,000
Manager:Peter Masque
Colors:Blue and Yellow
Fan Support:Medium
Expectations:Avoid Relegation
Starters: Lewison, Bourdon, Hogweiler, Gass, Gartner, Fjord*, Smock, Harriet, Dyatross, Aines, Montenegro
ReservesFoxx, Iacoco, Toulanlan, Von Bois, Wyte
Sponsor:Yaton Insurance
Nickname(s):SeaMonsters
Offseason Moves:Bought CM Peekaboo Dyatross from Ying Jing Yankees
Last Season Finish:16th
Team InfoA rather pedestrian outing from Yaton, after a top five finish in the previous season and a surprising return to the premiership. Overall with the money spent to play international in recent season it was rather a surprise that they even managed to finish in 16th.

V-League: 35th Season Tropical Trophy
(Note: The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one. For this seasons Tropical Trophy, The V-League Stellar Division Champions (Strike FC) were invited to face off against the Vilitan Cup Champions (Colonial Sile). Strike went into the match as defending champions but still having lost 5 or their last 7 Tropical Trophy attempts. For Colonial Sile it would be their first appearance in the Tropical Trophy.

VILITAN CUP REMATCH AT TIVALI RING

It was a new look for Etazeke Febrala's Jungle Strike FC without Vilitan National Team captain Ritopa Simafela and Krytenia's Matt Ordish in the lineup. The defense was anchored by long time stalwart Miiara Makose who was joined by New Montreal's Henri-Rene Lavaillere and Starblaydia's Azestelle Ajhabekk. Another new face was Farf attacking threat Friekder Dandalleion who found a role behind the attacking duo of Lawaai and Gadois on his Strike FC debut.

Jungle Strike FC [3-5-2] ::
[GK] Nycflala Kater (VIL), [D] Miiara Makose (VIL), [D] Azestella Ajhabekk (STR), [D] Henri-Rene Lavaillere (NMS), [M] Calaexa Jeroen (AUD), [M] Retiso Buran (VIL), [M] Jomur Hulyer (VIL), [M] Coll Brodie (TBI), [M] Friekder Dandalleion (FRF) [F] Yves Gadois, [F] Viji-mara Lawaai (VIL)

It was a much simpler look for Willie Fenn's Colonial Sile side. No flying wingbacks, no set back attackers. The simplicity of the 4-4-2 defined Colonial's style with Aguazul's Merlín Salomón the clear star of the team following new captain and goalkeeper Ronji Miiastara onto the pitch in the second consecutive Tropical Trophy to be contested with a Jungle Cat goalkeeper at one end and an Eels goalkeeper at the other..

Colonial Sile [4-4-2] ::
[GK] Ronji Miiastara (TUR) , [D] Tomii Bozikovii, [D] Gerii Pheko, [D] Tujamu Treola (VIL), [D] Leam Gabonamii, [M] Andii Lobrega, [M] Leeyon Pimpioo, [M] Merlín Salomón (AGU), [M] Cain Selolwa, [F] Stanlii Vereroudaki, [F] Klaillal Tuirma (TUR)

Turorian referee Tuaoko Vumaou was called upon to officiate the match for the second consecutive season.

Strike were pressuring from the get go but Turori National Team goalkeeper Ronji Miiastara cleaned up the garbage of each and every Venom chance with the exception of an apparent goal scored by Viji-mara Lawaai 7 minutes into the match that was called back for offsides by the linesmen.

The majority of the play during the first half hour was taking place in the penalty area with Jomur Hulyer swinging corner after corner into the Ronji Miiastara's box but the Eels netminder wasn't letting anything in. The collapsed look of the Venom would bite them in the 36th minute as Merlín Salomón sent local player Stanlii Vereroudaki free on the counter attack, one on one with Nycflala Kater and opening the scoring completely against the run of play with a move that may call the attention of Vilitan National Team scouts in the weeks to come.

Unhappy at the lax defending, coach Febrala immediately withdrew Henri-Rene Lavaillere from the match, the New Montreal defender complaining something about a thigh strain, replacing him with Vilitan defender Baiiub Jual-Knakok.

Despite being outshot and outposessed, Sile had the lead at the half, and things would get worse for the defending champions after the break.

Vereroudaki (36')
Salomón (54')
................................................

Jual-Knakok could do no better at stopping the pace of Vereroudaki than could Lavaillere and the previously unknown striker turned clear of his mark and fired a quick shot across the face of goal that caught Kater off his line, only able to palm the ball into the path of Merlín Salomón who bundled the ball home to double the lead for the underdogs.

Strike continued possessing large amounts of the ball, perhaps up to 70% of the play at the feet of the players from Lonngeylin, but outstanding play by Jomur Hulyer up the wings was not met with the finishing required to beat a goalkeeper of Miiastara's caliber as Strike were shut out on the day and were left to watch Colonial Sile lift their second consecutive piece of hardware at the top level of Vilitan Sport.

Statwise:
:: This is Colonial Sile's 1st Tropical Trophy Victory in their 1st appearance.
:: This is Strike FC's 9th Tropical Trophy Defeat in 20 Appearances.
:: This is the 4th consecutive Tropical Trophy competition where the losing team did not score a goal.
:: This is just the second Tropical Trophy in the 'modern era*' that was decided by more than 1 goal, and the second consecutive season.
:: This is the 4th Tropical Trophy that has ended in a 2-0 Scoreline [Strike v. Turoki Tide, S34; Strike v. Irougil, S21; Yeaddin v. Arcticala, S9]

* The modern Era is defined as all seasons from Season 26 on. Seasons 1-25 are the 'classic era'.

Tropical Trophy Host Site:

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

Lige den Premierens III

For the final time before a new proposal is put in place, the Lige den Premierens is back, as 24 teams battle for the crown and a Champion's Cup slot. More will be told about the forthcoming proposal later, but for now let's have a look at some of the main contenders:

Image
Last Season's Finish: 1st
Details: F.C Dagnar United surprised everyone last season by becoming the second championds of Mashiki. They made it to the 3rd premlinary round of the Champion's Cup before exiting and then only just missing out on a Globe Cup group stage slot. They didn't fair so well in the Copa de Campeones though, leaving after just the first round! They'll be hoping for more international football this season.
Predicted Finish: 2nd

Image
Last Season's Finish: 2nd
Details:South Bartal finished their season in second, after the highs of reaching the Globe Cup group stages 2 seasons ago. Last season, the failed to improve though, leaving the Globe Cup at the selective stage. They may start a charge up the table this season though.
Predicted Finish:1st

Image
Last Season's Finish:3rd
Details:Darting Baltana are looking deadly this season after finishing 3rd last year, but left at the same point as South Bartal in the Globe Cup last season, also leaving at the selective stage. Their new strikeforce of Papovski and Papovska may help them to score more, but their defence could be their downfall
Predicted Finish:3rd

Image
Last Season's Finish:4th
Details:Destina are looking to improve on last year, where they just missed out on an international spot, but with their new badge, anything is possible!
Predicted Finsih:5th

Image
Last Season's Finish:5th
Details:Syriak are also on a charge after missing out on an international space last time out. Hopefully some of their new national team players such as Dilio Menz can help them forward.
Predicted Finish:4th

Image
Last Season's Finish:6th
Details:Usually are outsiders to the top, but anything could happen, and they may mount a title charge.
Predicted Finish:7th

So without further ado, here are the results!:

Lige den Premierens Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 F.C Dagnar United 46 29 5 12 80 48 +32 92
2 South Bartal 46 25 7 14 72 48 +24 82
3 Olympic Partiad 46 25 6 15 75 57 +18 81
4 Syriak Guadir 46 23 11 12 89 53 +36 80
5 Darting Baltana 46 22 10 14 98 73 +25 76
6 F.C United Guadir 46 23 6 17 99 69 +30 75
7 Destina Masquet 46 21 12 13 47 30 +17 75
8 Faladi Republic 46 22 8 16 84 60 +24 74
9 F.C Tobaku 46 23 4 19 47 44 +3 73
10 Partia Guadir 46 22 7 17 71 77 -6 73
11 S.C Tubushu 46 19 13 14 52 47 +5 70
12 Gushu Baltana 46 19 11 16 66 64 +2 68
13 Sporting Barassia 46 17 13 16 55 47 +8 64
14 Maden Galapana 46 18 10 18 52 46 +6 64
15 Falafal United 46 15 16 15 40 42 -2 61
16 St Bradley's City 46 15 16 15 37 39 -2 61
17 Masquet United 46 16 10 20 67 75 -8 58
18 A.C Barassia 46 15 10 21 58 69 -11 55
19 Athletic Rigana 46 13 12 21 72 86 -14 51
20 Galapana Islanders 46 12 14 20 45 64 -19 50
21 Dodolaville 46 15 3 28 48 95 -47 48
22 National St Bradley's 46 13 8 25 37 76 -39 47
23 Welki Atheltic 46 10 5 31 65 103 -38 35
24 R.C Rigana 46 7 9 30 47 91 -44 30

So F.C Dagnar United win the league for the second tim, with South Bartal in second. Olympic Partiad also clinch a Globe Cup place by just 1 point. This year as the leagues are frozen, there will also be no cup competition, meaning Syriak Guadir will return to the Globe Cup. No teams are being relegated either, and that brings me on to the new proposal.

League:
- 24 teams in top division
- 4 relegated
- 4 feeder divisions lead to top division, with top club being promoted
- 2nd place teams in feeder divisions play against next four teams in top division as a promotion playoff
- Top team in top division enters Champion's Cup
- Next two placed teams enter Globe Cup

Cup:
- Takes place at end of season
- 4 bottom placed teams from each feeder division enter preliminary round. Total: 16 clubs
- All other clubs from feeder leagues (24 clubs) join winners of preliminary round (8 clubs) Total: 32 clubs
- Second Round is another basic knock-out round. No new clubs enter. Total: 16 clubs
- Third Round sees all top division clubs (24) enter and join winners of second round ties (8 clubs). Total: 32 clubs
- Round of 16 consists of winners of third round ties. Total: 16 clubs
- Quarter-finals sees two-legged ties between winners of round of 16 ties. Total: 8 clubs
- Semi-Finals sees winners of quarter-finals play in a two-legged tie. Total: 4 clubs
- Final sees winners of semi-finals face off in one-legged tie Total: 2 clubs
- Winner of cup enters Globe Cup and Cygnus Cup

So for now here are the tournaments the clubs will enter. Goodbye!

Champions Cup: F.C Dagnar United
Globe Cup: South Bartal, Olympic Partiad, Syriak Guadir
Relegated: N/A
Copa de Campeones: F.C Dagnar United

After RGS Athletic reached the TQCC group stage and the CDC quarter-finals, and Norrion Rovers reached the first knockout round of the Globe Cup having topped their group, things were beginning to look up for domestic football in Eastfield Lodge, especially with the resurgence of Babbage-owned VLC FC up the table and into international competition (only to be knocked out in the first round of the Globe Cup). And this is how it all panned out:

Premier Division Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 RGS Athletic 30 20 4 6 59 28 +31 64 Champions/TQCC/CDC
2 Norrion Rovers 30 17 6 7 44 30 +14 57 TQCC
3 Royal Jam FC 30 14 10 6 32 21 +11 52 GC
4 VLC FC 30 13 9 8 33 28 +5 48 GC
5 Nile Bridge 30 14 1 15 51 36 +15 43 GC

6 Pontifucia United 30 12 7 11 41 53 -12 43
7 Monksville United 30 10 11 9 28 20 +8 41
8 Seniors FC 30 10 10 10 30 34 -4 40
9 UR Town 30 10 10 10 46 39 +7 40
10 Tuntingone FC 30 10 9 11 39 43 -4 39
11 Walston Brook Albion 30 10 8 12 20 20 +0 38
12 FM Town 30 10 6 14 51 50 +1 36
13 Olympia FC 30 9 7 14 33 46 -13 34
14 Honsadin FC 30 9 5 16 31 48 -17 32 Relegated
15 YLW FC 30 7 7 16 28 43 -15 28 Relegated
16 Lodgertia United 30 8 4 18 35 62 -27 28 Relegated

Both Norrion and VLC prove that last season's performances weren't flukes, with Norrion taking the second TQCC spot by five points, and VLC FC finishing a place higher than they did last season, and five points ahead of fifth place. RGS Athletic again take the title by storm, but by much less of a storm than last season, just 7 ahead of second place instead of 17, but still mustering up the most potent strike force in the league. At the other end, FM Town could do with a VLC-style comeback, after finishing just 4 points into safety, but for Honsadin, YLW and Lodgertia, it's the second division next season. Last season's other two Globe Cup qualifiers, Monksville United and UR Town, have to settle for mid-table mediocrity, but only 3 points from the Globe Cup spot. Pontifucia United, Second Division Champions last season, were a mere whisker away from a second season of UICA football, finishing level on points with Nile Bridge but losing out because of their atrocious goal difference.

Second Division Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts

Of the teams that were relegated last season, only Polkation have bounced back, and they bounce back as champions, gaining more points than RGS did in the division above (although the margin was again 7 points). Xilon OC lose out on promotion by a solitary point, Yillog City's draw on the penultimate matchday meant that they were promoted regardless of the result of the Xilon-Yillog match on the last matchday (interestingly, Yillog only mustered 1 point from the last three matches, while Xilon got all 9, so had Yillog not drawn, they could potentially have thrown away a nine point lead). At the other end, Revisionist fans are increasingly wearing rose-tinted spectacles, remembering the gold old days of top division football as the team slips steadily down to the third division.
