Elder Scrolls: Second Era

The IC

Well, I thought it would be pretty awesome if we had a TES RP set in the past, with some interesting events going on, and an area of the Elder Scrolls time-line I don't believe I've seen covered before in an RP.
In the year eight-hundred and forty of the Second Era, chaos, war and struggle reign. At this time, the man who would become known as Talos, or Uriel Septim, is only ten.

Previously, the Cyrodilic Empire had been a force of great power for the first four hundred and thirty years of the Era, under the rule of the Akaviri Potentates. Though alien to Imperial culture, they established some of the great traditions of Tamriel, granting charters to organizations such as the Fighters' Guild and the Mages Guild. Another sign of peace and prosperity occurred in the year 2E 309, when Elsweyr was created by the union of the two Khajiit tribelands, Anequina and Pellitine. But outside of the Empire's borders many conflicting forces drive for the Imperial throne like the Daggerfall Covenant and Aldmeri Dominion.

When the last Potentate, Savirien-Chorak, was assassinated in 2E 430, leaving no heirs, the great Empire was finally destroyed. Black Marsh forcibly split from the lands of men, as the Knahaten Flu made the land uninhabitable to all but the Argonians themselves. Akavir once again invaded Tamriel, and was barely rebuffed after attacking Morrowind in 2E 572. From one end of the continent to the other, war and rebellion struck at the heart of every great tradition of the land.

The first sign of reunification occurred in the west. The Altmer of Summerset, long concerned with their own wars with other island kingdoms, allied with Valenwood to form the Aldmeri Dominion for their common good.
Now, a troubled land indeed stirs. Many factions seek to undermine, conquer and reign supreme over others. Is it simply a matter of time before someone unites the shattered remnants of an old empire? Or will powerful and ambitious forces that had always sought to rule over Tamriel come from outside Cyrodiil itself?

Just in case you aren't aware of some of the lore:

Races:

Argonian

Little is known and less is understood about the reptilian denizens of Black Marsh. Years of defending their borders have made the Argonians experts in guerrilla warfare, and their natural abilities make them equally at home in water and on land. They are well-suited for the treacherous swamps of their homeland, and have developed natural immunities to the diseases and poisons that have doomed many would-be explorers into the region. Their seemingly expressionless faces belie a calm intelligence, and many Argonians are well-versed in the magical arts. Others rely on stealth or steel to survive, and their natural agility makes them adept at either. They are, in general, a reserved people, slow to trust and hard to know. Yet, they are fiercely loyal, and will fight to the death for those they have named as friends.

Breton
Passionate and eccentric, poetic and flamboyant, intelligent and willful, the Bretons feel an inborn, instinctive bond with the mercurial forces of magic and the supernatural. Many great sorcerers have come out of their home province of High Rock, and in addition to their quick and perceptive grasp of spellcraft, enchantment, and alchemy, even the humblest of Bretons can boast a high resistance to destructive and dominating magical energies.

Dark Elf
Dark Elves are the dark-skinned Elven peoples of the Eastern Empire. "Dark" is variously understood to mean "dark-skinned," "gloomy," and "ill-favored by fate." The Dunmer and their national character embrace these various connotations with enthusiasm. In the Empire, "Dark Elves" is the common usage, but in their Morrowind homeland, and among their Aldmeri brethren, they call themselves the "Dunmer". The dark-skinned, red-eyed Dark Elves combine powerful intellect with strong and agile physiques, producing superior warriors and sorcerers. On the battlefield, Dark Elves are noted for their skilled and balanced integration of swordsmen, marksmen, and war wizards. In character, they are grim, aloof, and reserved, distrusting and disdainful of other races.

High Elf
In Imperial speech, the haughty, tall, golden-skinned peoples of Summerset Isle are called "High Elves," but they call themselves the "Altmer," or the "Cultured People." In the Empire, "High" is often understood to mean "tall," "proud," or "snobbish." The High Elves confidently consider themselves, with some justice, as the most civilized culture of Tamriel; the common tongue of the Empire, Tamrielic, is based on Altmer speech and writing, and most of the Empire's arts, crafts, and sciences are derived from High Elven traditions. However, the High Elf's smug self-assurance of his superiority can be hard to bear for those of other races. Deft, intelligent, and strong-willed, High Elves are often gifted in the arcane arts, and High Elves boast that their sublime physical natures make them far more resistant to disease than the "lesser races."

Imperial
Natives of the civilized, cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil, the Imperials are well-educated and well-spoken. Imperials are also known for the discipline and training of their citizen armies. Though physically less imposing than the other races, the Imperials have proved to be shrewd diplomats and traders, and these traits, along with their remarkable skill and training as light infantry, have enabled them to subdue all the other nations and races, and to have erected the monument to peace and prosperity that comprises the Glorious Empire.

Khajiit
Khajiit hail from the province of Elsweyr and can vary in appearance from nearly Elven to the cathay-raht "jaguar men" to the great Senche-Tiger. The most common breed found in Morrowind, the suthay-raht, is intelligent, quick, and agile. Khajiit of all breeds have a weakness for sweets, especially the drug known as skooma. Many Khajiit disdain weapons in favor of their natural claws. They make excellent thieves due to their natural agility and unmatched acrobatics ability. Many Khajiit are also warriors, although this is less common among the suthay-raht.

Nord
The citizens of Skyrim are a tall and fair-haired people, aggressive and fearless in war, industrious and enterprising in trade and exploration. Skilled sailors, Nords can be found in seaports and settlements along all the coasts and rivers of Tamriel. Strong, stubborn, and hardy, Nords are famous for their resistance to cold, even magical frost. Violence is an accepted and comfortable aspect of Nord culture; Nords of all classes are skilled with a variety of weapon and armor styles, and they cheerfully face battle with an ecstatic ferocity that shocks and appalls their enemies.

Orc
These sophisticated barbarian beast peoples of the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains are noted for their unshakeable courage in war and their unflinching endurance of hardships. In the past, Orcs have been widely feared and hated by the other nations and races of Tamriel, but they have slowly won acceptance in the Empire, in particular for their distinguished service in the Emperor's Legions. Orcish armorers are prized for their craftsmanship, and Orc warriors in heavy armor are among the finest front-line troops in the Empire. Most Imperial citizens regard Orc society as rough and cruel, but there is much to admire in their fierce tribal loyalties and generous equality of rank and respect among the sexes.

Redguard
The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel, the dark-skinned, wiry-haired Redguards of Hammerfell seem born to battle, though their pride and fierce independence of spirit makes them more suitable as scouts or skirmishers, or as free-ranging heroes and adventurers, than as rank-and-file soldiers. In addition to their cultural affinities for many weapon and armor styles, Redguards are also physically blessed with hardy constitutions and quickness of foot.

Wood Elf
The Wood Elves are the various barbarian Elven clanfolk of the Western Valenwood forests. In the Empire, they are collectively referred to as "Wood Elves," but "Bosmer," or "the Tree-Sap People," is what they call themselves. "Tree-Sap" suggests the wild vitality and youthful energy of Wood Elves, in contrast with their more dour cousins, the Altmer and Dunmer. Bosmer reject the stiff, formal traditions of Aldmeri high culture, preferring a romantic, simple existence in harmony with the land, its wild beauty and wild creatures. These country cousins of the High Elves and Dark Elves are nimble and quick in body and wit, and because of their curious natures and natural agility, Wood Elves are especially suitable as scouts, agents, and thieves. But most of all, the Wood Elves are known for their skills with bows; there are no finer archers in all of Tamriel.

Acrobat:
The kind of person that uses agility and endurance to their advantage. Unafraid of jumping long distances, this is for the agile burglars and second story men. These thieves avoid detection by stealth, and rely on mobility and cunning to avoid capture.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Agility, Endurance
Skills: Acrobatics, Blade, Block, Marksman, Security, Sneak, Speechcraft

Agent
Charming when they can be seen and almost invisible when in shadow. Agents are operatives skilled in deception and avoidance, but trained in self-defense and the use of deadly force. Self-reliant and independent, agents devote themselves to personal goals, or to various patrons or causes.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Agility, Personality
Skills: Acrobatics, Illusion, Marksman, Mercantile, Security, Sneak, Speechcraft

Archer
A marksman, adept at combat at great distances. Able to take down most foes before they have a chance to draw a sword. Archers are fighters specializing in long-range combat and rapid movement. Opponents are kept at distance by ranged weapons and swift maneuver, and engaged in melee with sword and shield after the enemy is wounded and weary.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Agility, Strength
Skills: Armorer, Blade, Blunt, Hand to Hand, Light Armor, Marksman, Sneak

Assassin
Nimble and quiet, they move in darkness to strike at the unsuspecting. Locks hold no doors shut to them. Assassins are killers who rely on stealth and mobility to approach victims undetected. Execution is with ranged weapons or with short blades for close work. Assassins include ruthless murderers and principled agents of noble causes.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Intelligence, Speed
Skills: Acrobatics, Alchemy, Blade, Light Armor, Marksman, Security, Sneak

Barbarian
Fearsome brutes who inspire fear and dread in the hearts of their enemies. Like a storm, swift and powerful. Finding little use for heavy armor, they rely on smashing their foes into the ground. Barbarians are the proud, savage warrior elite of the plains nomads, mountain tribes, and sea reavers. They tend to be brutal and direct, lacking civilized graces, but they glory in heroic feats, and excel in fierce, frenzied single combat.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Speed, Strength
Skills: Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Block, Blunt, Hand to Hand, Light Armor

Bard
Intelligent and personable, they prefer to accomplish tasks with their words first, and sword second. Bards are loremasters and storytellers. They crave adventure for the wisdom and insight to be gained, and must depend on sword, shield, spell and enchantment to preserve them from the perils of their educational experiences.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Intelligence, Personality
Skills: Alchemy, Blade, Block, Illusion, Light Armor, Mercantile, Speechcraft

Battlemage
Able to resolve most conflicts with either spell or sword. They are a deadly mix of scholar and soldier. Battlemages are wizard-warriors, trained in both lethal spellcasting and heavily armored combat. They sacrifice mobility and versatility for the ability to supplement melee and ranged attacks with elemental damage and summoned creatures.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Intelligence, Strength
Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Blade, Blunt, Conjuration, Destruction, Mysticism

Crusader
A combatant who wields the power of brute strength and medicinal knowledge. Cheating death after every fight, they rely on their keen knowledge of restoration to fight yet again. Any heavily armored warrior with spellcasting powers and a good cause may call himself a Crusader. Crusaders do well by doing good. They hunt monsters and villains, making themselves rich by plunder as they rid the world of evil.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Strength, Willpower
Skills: Athletics, Blade, Blunt, Destruction, Hand to Hand, Heavy Armor, Restoration

Healer
Fighters of poison and illness. The ancient art of restoration is their ally, and the deadly art of destruction is their weapon. Healers are spellcasters who swear solemn oaths to heal the afflicted and cure the diseased. When threatened, they defend themselves with reason and disabling attacks and magic, relying on deadly force only in extremity.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Personality, Willpower
Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Destruction, Illusion, Mercantile, Restoration, Speechcraft

Knight
The most noble of all combatants, strong in body and in character. Of noble birth, or distinguished in battle or tourney, knights are civilized warriors, schooled in letters and courtesy, governed by the codes of chivalry. In addition to the arts of war, knights study the lore of healing and enchantment.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Personality, Strength
Skills: Blade, Block, Blunt, Hand to Hand, Heavy Armor, Illusion, Speechcraft

Mage
Preferring to use their extensive knowledge of all things magical, they wield a might more powerful than the sharpest blade. Most mages claim to study magic for its intellectual rewards, but they also often profit from its practical applications. Varying widely in temperament and motivation, mages share but one thing in common - an avid love of spellcasting
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Intelligence, Willpower
Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism, Restoration

Monk
Quick and cunning with the empty hand, they are strong in spirit. They prefer to solve conflict by arrow or by fist. Monks are students of the ancient martial arts of hand-to-hand combat and unarmored self defense. Monks avoid detection by stealth, mobility, and agility, and are skilled with a variety of ranged and close-combat weapons.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Agility, Willpower
Skills: Acrobatics, Alteration, Athletics, Hand to Hand, Marksman, Security, Sneak

Nightblade
Spell and shadow are their friends. By darkness they move with haste, casting magic to benefit their circumstances. Nightblades are spellcasters who use their magics to enhance mobility, concealment, and stealthy close combat. They have a sinister reputation, since many nightblades are thieves, enforcers, assassins, or covert agents.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Speed, Willpower
Skills: Acrobatics, Alteration, Athletics, Blade, Destruction, Light Armor, Restoration

Pilgrim
Hearty folk, well-versed in the tomes of old. They profit in life by bartering in the market, or by persuading the weak-minded. Pilgrims are travelers, seekers of truth and enlightenment. They fortify themselves for road and wilderness with arms, armor, and magic, and through wide experience of the world, they become shrewd in commerce and persuasion.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Endurance, Personality
Skills: Armorer, Block, Blunt, Light Armor, Mercantile, Security, Speechcraft

Rogue
They use speed in combat rather than brute force. Persuasive in conversation, their tongues are as sharp as blades. Rogues are adventurers and opportunists with a gift for getting in and out of trouble. Relying variously on charm and dash, blades and business sense, they thrive on conflict and misfortune, trusting to their luck and cunning to survive.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Personality, Speed
Skills: Alchemy, Athletics, Blade, Block, Illusion, Light Armor, Mercantile

Scout
Preferring the rolling countryside to the city life, they are gifted with the ability to evade, guard and protect themselves with great proficiency. Scouts rely on stealth to survey routes and opponents, using skirmish tactics when forced to fight. By contrast with barbarians, in combat scouts tend to be cautious and methodical, rather than impulsive.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Endurance, Speed
Skills: Acrobatics, Alchemy, Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Block, Light Armor

Sorcerer
Besting the most well-equipped fighters, they rely on the spells of the mystic arts. Unique to these mages is the bodily stamina to be armed with the thickest armor. Though spellcasters by vocation, sorcerers rely most on summonings and enchantments. They are greedy for magic scrolls, rings, armor and weapons, and commanding undead and Daedric servants gratifies their egos.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Endurance, Intelligence
Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Heavy Armor, Mysticism, Restoration

Spellsword
More nimble and athletic than the sorcerer, and better suited for spell-casting than the knight, their attacks are unpredictable. Students of combat and magic, Spellswords are spellcasting specialists trained to support Imperial troops in skirmish and in battle. Veteran spellswords are prized as mercenaries, and well-suited for careers as adventurers and soldiers-of-fortune.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Endurance, Willpower
Skills: Alteration, Blade, Block, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Illusion, Restoration

Thief
Profiting from the losses of others is their love. Able to be swift in shadow, and crafty in bartering. Locks are enemies, and lock-picks are their swords. Thieves are pickpockets and pilferers. Unlike robbers, who kill and loot, thieves typically choose stealth and subterfuge over violence, and often entertain romantic notions of their charm and cleverness in their acquisitive activities.
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Agility, Speed
Skills: Acrobatics, Light Armor, Marksman, Mercantile, Security, Sneak, Speechcraft

Warrior
Unafraid of light weaponry, they plow into the fray with little regard for injury. Masters of all melee tools, they put little faith in the magical arts. Warriors are the professional men-at-arms, soldiers, mercenaries, and adventurers of the Empire, trained with various weapons and armor styles, conditioned by long marches, and hardened by ambush, skirmish, and battle.
Specialization: Combat
Attributes: Endurance, Strength
Skills: Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Block, Blunt, Hand to Hand, Heavy Armor

Witchhunter
Swift on foot and clever with spells, they use distance as their ally. Slower adversaries are fodder for their arrows. Witchhunters are dedicated to rooting out and destroying the perverted practices of dark cults and profane sorcery. They train for martial, magical, and stealthy war against vampires, witches, warlocks, and necromancers.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Agility, Intelligence
Skills: Alchemy, Athletics, Conjuration, Destruction, Marksman, Mysticism, Security

My App

Name: Caladan Velaryon
Age: 521 (Appears in 20's)
Appearance:
Image

Race: Breton
Class (if not a particular class, then just choose seven main skills): Spellsword
Weapons: A soul-trapping- among other things, enchanted two-handed sword known as Stormbringer, an Akaviri katana, and a Vampiric Daedric longsword.
Armour (Including worn items in general): Necromancer amulet, steel plate armour- boots, gauntlets, etc. Ring of poison protection, and a ring of breathing underwater.
Place of birth: Glenvar castle, High Rock.
Biography: Born to a rich noble family in a castle northeast of Daggerfall, in 320 of the Second Era, he went on quite a number of adventures throughout Tamriel, in time. He became an accomplished swordsman and sorcerer during his travails, though he ended up seeming to acquire some powerful enemies. He was defeated long ago in his castle, by a surprise night attack; of black armoured warriors led by a vampire sorceress, in which he died, but was resurrected by Vaermina, who saw some purpose in his continued existence. He was trapped in Quagmire(her realm), for several centuries- losing some sanity in the process, until now, where she released him near the ruins of Glenvar, where he recently sought to find a purpose. Caladan has plans to create a faction of his own in time, but has yet to implement certain things. So far, he's managed to create a mercenary company, situated in Skyrim, which is where he has moved to. Having managed to build the force surprisingly rapidly, he has it numbering at several thousand men- with six hundred of those who are the elite, known as The Avowed, with an oath of fealty that magically binds them to Caladan. These Avowed gained unnaturally long life, strength, speed, and regenerative attributes in return for their oath, and they were the first six hundred who came to serve Caladan. The company is known as the Crimson Guard. With it, he intends to see certain designs of his, completed upon Tamriel. For further information, the Crimson Guard is divided into four companies, each of which contain a number of "blades", or squads.

He holds a vendetta against vampires, for he had a number of other encounters with them, and as such; fears them somewhat. Also, his blade, Stormbringer was forged long ago: Stormbringer, the dread blade of house Velaryon, the blade that was said to have been driven into the ground upon which Glenvar castle was built, by the god of war, Reymon Ebonarm, still worshipped in shrines along liliac bay , also called simply Ebonarm or the Black Knight, and enchanted by several other gods and daedra at the time the Admantine tower, also known as the Direnni tower, Ur-tower, and Ada-mantia on the Isle of Balferia in the Iliac Bay was still in use. The tower was said to have been built at ME 2500, making it the oldest known structure in Tamriel. and its depths have never been thoroughly explored. According to the library Caladan had read his way through in Glenvar Castle, the Direnni Tower was created by the Aedra for a place of discussing the creation of Mundus.

Name: Davira, "The Hag O' The Hills" (No surname.)
Age: One-hundred and twenty two- various arcane abilities, and according to the local mythos, ground up elven ears, have sustained her youthful appearance and life.
Appearance:You have no idea how hard it is to find a picture not based on baring as much skin as conceivably possible.
Race: A human 'half-breed' between a Breton and a Nord.
Specialization: Magic
Attributes: Intelligence, Personality
Skills: Conjuration, Restoration, Destruction, Acrobatics, Athletics, Sneak, Hand-to-Hand.
Weapons: Carries her father's enchanted Ebony Blade; it's enchantments include the ability to inflict fiery wounds. Can summon various weapons at will.
Armour: Davira's armour is chiefly conjured; she wears three amulets to enhance her magical power ("What's the point of wearing one? Why not more? Every little helps, after all!") and wears two rings, one for the purposes of conjuration and the other for restoration. She also carries a number of trinkets tied to her belt which increase her magicka, and according to herself, her stamina. Ahem.
As for things she wears, Davira is usually clad in cloth and well-made leather, along with a pair of never-breaking well-worn walking boots she seems to adore.
Place of birth: Dragonbridge, Skyrim.
Biography: (Christ, I hope this doesn't conflict with anything...) Born the daughter of a Nord smith and Breton enchantress, Davira grew up isolated and ostracised, a magically talented youth in a chiefly traditional Nordic community. Despite this, her mother's eternal love of books and friendly views inspired Davira to be as altruistic as possible, reading often and using her magical abilities to assist the small community of Dragonsbridge as a healer and, occasionally, fighter. Often venturing into the nearby valleys to speak to the few monastery-communities and mages present in the region, she rapidly discovered a host of magical abilities.
For three years from her fourteenth birthday, Davira lived in relative peace in the community after the quiet death of her mother, working away as the settlement's sole healer and mage. She grew increasingly intelligent; some would say far too smart for her own good, by continually studying both arcane and mundane arts.
When she was seventeen, after her father, the village's somewhat beloved smith was deceased, Davira was driven out of Dragonsbridge, carrying nothing but the clothes on her back and the sword her father had forged once for a warrior who had never returned to receive it; kept young by the font of magic that she had become, she continued to altruistically help her home, gaining a legendary reputation in Dragonsbridge and nearby settlements as the 'hag o' the hills-' an ever-helpful personality, also used to get children to behave in threats.
Now no longer limited by the binding words she had spoken to help her people, Davira intends to travel the world and discover what, exactly, is 'wrong' with her.

Name:Imrik Cartholier
Age: 66 (Physical appearance is that of very early 20's)
Appearance:
Race: High Elf
Class (if not a particular class, then just choose seven main skills): Mage
Weapons: Two Ebony long daggers, with runes inscribed on the blades to weigh as much as a feather and to have the perfect balance, along with a rune of swiftness. (The following I will count as a weapons, although is also clothing.) A pair of magical channeling gloves, as Imrik considers a staff to be too cumbersome to wield.
Armour (including worn items in general): Clothing is same as it was under appearance. Underneath his robes is a light layer chain mail, and he also has a medium sized satchel in which he keeps his belongings in.
Place of birth: Summerset Isles, Skywatch
Biography: Imrik was born to a respectable, yet not too significant family of mages on the outskirts of Skywatch. Imrik, like his brothers and sisters, had a higher than average natural talent in the manipulation and use of magic. However, unlike his siblings, he gravitated towards destructive magic and illusion magic, instead of the healing powers of restoration. His father respected his chosen path, however his mother was slightly worried. But Imrik was a bright and kind young lad, so after much consideration, he was granted an audience to study under his grandfather, who was a master in the arts of destructive magic.
His studies began at the young age of twelve, and Imrik as a child, naturally, was anxious and impatient. However under the watchful and stern eye of his grandfather, Imrik learned the patience required to become a skilled mage. Once the basic skills were taught to him, his real magical studies began at the age of fifteen. Naturally, as he matured, he became more refined and his skills began to become finely honed.
Years passed as he became a powerful mage. He became respectable like his parents, and despite his path in magic, he was a kind soul. Yet that would all change upon a few months after his twenty-fourth summer.
His mother and father, including his four siblings, were all murdered in their own home by those who Imrik does not know for means in which he cannot fathom. Imrik was devastated, including his grandfather. His grandfather, who was already reclusive, essentially shut himself off from everyone, including Imrik. Imrik turned bitter, becoming cold and cynical. He had himself two ebony blades crafted, in which he inscribed his own runes on. He continued his studies on the move, not staying in one place for long as his soul became overcome with grief and anger.

Biography: Aquilius was born in the city of Kvatch in the year 813 in the Second Era to a pair of merchants. Aquilius lived in a relatively middle class family of five, however he was the youngest son and therefore guaranteed to never to earn anything when his father passed away. So, he took up hunting, in order to earn somewhat of a living on his own. He became apprenticed to a Master Hunter at the age of fifteen and learned how to conceal himself from his quarry, how to shoot a bow, and how to move quietly in Light Armor. For four years, he plied his trade happily and earned money selling pelts and the meat he harvested from the animals he had hunted in the Imperial Reserve. However, he wasn't satisfied with his wages and began to ply his trade as a thief from time to time. That is how he learned how to pick locks, and how to talk his way out of situations. However, he eventually had to learn how to use a blade due to the city streets being to small to use a bow properly.

Aquilius eventually ceased hunting and was completely absorbed in thievery, working for the local crime syndicate as an enforcer, dealing with do-gooders and vigilantes as well as members of rival syndicates and defectors from the one he served. In his spare time, Aquilius studied Illusion magics in order to aid his dirty dealings, however he soon realized that they had many applications and began to study them on the side. Meanwhile, a war raged across Cyrodiil, nay across Tamriel. Armies of men from many cities fought each other, and one day Kvatch was conquered by Emperor Cuhlecain's armies. Most of his syndicate was butchered in the fighting and therefore, he began plying his trade as an assassin. Killing the poor, the rich, nobles, beggars, merchants, guard captains, all walks of life. None can or will escape his blade. However, on the side he does do some mercenary work. Though, sometimes he has to kill former clients...for business reasons of course.

Well, I believe I participated in a previous Elder Scrolls RP with you. Anyways, I may get into this. I prefer Warhammer, but Elder Scrolls is similar still. Give me a while, and I may have up a High Elf mage or sorcerer. Although I'd have some reading to do on the lore. My knowledge consists only of what the Elder Scroll games give me.

Thank goodness you made this RP, Videssos.

Indeed, you did.
I like Warhammer too, as it happens. Hardly any non-40k RPs on Nationstates, though.

Apologies for the lacking bio. I wrote it in parts as my time was constantly interrupted. However, as usual, I reveal most through IC.
Also, this last edit was adding some rings to my character. Forgot to give him some.
Name:Imrik Cartholier
Age: 66 (Physical appearance is that of very early 20's)
Appearance:
Image

He has several rings on each hand, some rune inscribed, others there for looks.

Name: Aquilius Attius

Age: 27

Appearance:
Image

Race: Imperial

Class: Ranger (Blade, Marksman, Light Armor, Sneak, Security, Speechcraft, Illusion)

Weapons: Steel Shortsword, Steel Longbow

Armour: Leather Armour w/ a black cloak as well as an enchanted family heirloom silver necklace with a large emerald in the center. The necklace hold an enchantment of spell-absorption.

Place of birth: Kvatch

Accepted.

Just remember that the bit about Tiber Septim is a bit off, because at 840, he would only be about ten years old, and known as Hjalti Early-Beard for the time being.
There are reasons I chose this time in particular, before he's old enough to do those major events that ushered the end of the second era and the beginning of a new one. Because a big, chaotic powers struggle is an interesting thing to RP in the midst of.

Name: Ellessar Semphoc
Age: 344
Appearance: He often changes outfits for the job, but in general he wears this, at least while in Skyrim. He also has Dark Brotherhood garb he wears while working with them.
Race: Bosmer
Specialization: Stealth
Attributes: Intelligence, Agility.
Class's: Sneak, light armor, small weapons (knifes/blades), acrobatics, illusion, marksmen, alchemy.
Weapons: An Ebony Bow, customized to be much slimmer and have more draw to it. It is enchanted to steal souls from those it kills and to drain its foes of energy, in form of stamina and magic. He also has a pair of Ebony Daggers, both enchanted to steal souls for soul gems, and an instant electrocution effect, draining magical power and paralyzing foes on contact. He also has a wide assortment of poisons at his disposal, and items like smoke bombs and a garrote wire.
Armour: His outfit as seen, with an amulet of life, increasing his life force, stamina, and endurance. He also wears a ring on each hand, the one on his left granting him the blink ability, at the cost of some of his life force, and the one on his right grants all his spells greater strength. His clothing is also all enchanted, with his hood giving him the eyes of a hawk, allowing him to see farther than any ordinary man could dream of, with great clarity, also improving his marksmanship. His shirt and pants, as they are in most of his owned clothing, are heavily enchanted with illusion magic, making him hard to see and especially to focus on, even in plain sight. His boots muffle any and all sound he would make, and, along with gloves, allow him to climb most surfaces with ease as well as jump considerable distances.
Place of birth: Falinesti
Biography: Ellessar was born into a respectable family in the higher branches of Falinesti, with his father being a well known shaman and his mother the owner of an inn, well known for its fine Bosmeri cuisine. As such, his life was a fairly stable one, in which he did not want for much. He lived in a large treehouse high up on the great wandering capitol, and received a fine education in the natural arts, as well as writing, mathematics, archery, alchemy, and other such fields, for many years. When he turned twenty, his formal education was reduced, and his father took him under his wing to begin teaching him from his own field, in the hope that he to would become a well known shaman, possible of such prestige to even know of the Wild Hunt. He learned under his father for years as an apprentice, being taught the magical arts, particularly illusion and alteration spells, as well as how to commune with nature. During this time, he also learned a thing or two from his mother, and not just cooking, but how to haggle, to spot a con man, as well as the best ways to make money in the world. As such, he was quite the knowledgeable young elf by the time he turned thirty, a worked as lesser known shaman in some of the smaller provinces. Such was how his life continued for four years until all of Tamriel was shaken from the ground up.

In 2E 430, the empire finally crumbled, and the regions that once formed it split into, once again, independent nations. Valenwood was no exception, and initially this seemed to be a wondrous thing, for the old kings could return, the Imperials would leave, and Bosmer culture would be restored. However, time quickly proved them to be wrong. Wars with the khajiit began in the east, and with the Colovians in the north, as well as with the Moamer in the south. Political disunity began to ravage the garden of Tamriel. As such, Ellessar quickly realized that being a lowly shaman would hardly be adequate for him to survive in these times, especially with him operating so close to the war with their feline foes. He discarded his robe and staff, and went about trying to make something more of himself. At first he tried himself as a thief, with actually worked very well, what with his superb natural agility, and his gathered intelligence, but he felt something was missing. Perhaps it was his nationalistic feelings for the Bosmeri people, or his hate for the invaders, but somehow, the prospect of killing someone, without their knowing, from the shadows became very appealing.

He soon found himself slipping daggers into people he stole from, mostly foreigners or traitors, though not always. He even picked up the bow, which, like for all Bosmer, came naturally to him. Eventually he was a adept assassin, though hardly an expert, but even so, it was enough to attract the attention of an actual assassins organization in Valenwood. A group of shifty elves, they operated to eliminate anyone who they got payed to kill, mostly invaders at the moment. They took him under their wing, and began teaching him their ways, while he contributed wealth from his family and own accounts to them as a return payment, until he eventually became a full member of the order. This is wear he would learn his skills as an agent of the shadows from, but he never felt right killing Bosmeri people, at least without cause for death, not the usual petty reasoning. As such, he left the organization, travelling across Tamreil to hone his skills, and to learn about the other areas of the world, all the while lining his pockets with money from contracts. He spent a lot of time in Cyrodiil, as well as in Morrowind and the Daggerfall Covenant, were he learned more and more skills, such as how to enchant weapons, which plants produce which effects in poisons, and so on. Eventually, he became an expert in his own right, as well as wealthy from his elimination of so many targets over the decades. He even came to own several houses throughout the lands, in which he kept mementos of those he had killed, and his collections of weapons and armors, which he had developed a taste for.

Still, eventually the wonders of Valenwood called to him, and upon his return, he found things starkly different, for know, the Dominion was in Valenwood, but not as invaders, but as allies. With their help, invaders were pushed back, stability was restored to many regions of the nation, and an unity of elf kind, never before seen, had arisen. As such, he immediately volunteered his services to the Dominion, and was hired into an elite group serving to eliminate potential threats to the empire. He spent many years in Elewsyar, Morrowind, Pyandonea, Daggerfall, Colovinia, and in each place, he killed any and all who may oppose the Dominion. He even gathered a reputation for himself, became part of the upper echelon of the Dominions unofficial orders, dealing in assassination, subterfuge, and other such matters. Soon he was leading and assigning missions, rather than the other way around. From his Aldermari paycheck, as well as his own ventures in business and private contracts, he soon made himself a very rich elf indeed. Though it was never about the money, it sure did help, and soon he was the owner of large amounts of land in Valenwood, as well as owning property in quite a few other nations, under alias's of course. As the decades rolled by, he even began to expand his influence further for the Dominion, and found himself a member of the Dark Brotherhood, after intentionally interrupting one of their contracts. He has became very attached to the organization and will fight to protect it. He also serves as the go to man for the Dominion, should they offer the Brotherhood a contract.

Currently, Ellessar is in Skyrim, were he works with the Brotherhood and the Dominion to secure both of their interests. For the Dominion he is tasked with removing threats to any possible invasions in the future, while for the Brotherhood, he acts as an exemplary member, hoping to become a Speaker. He has been in Skyrim for a few years now, and has spent this time mostly working for the Brotherhood, while gathering friends and allies in high places for any future endeavors. He currently owns a few farms in Skyrim, as well as a fair amount of property in Morthal and Dawnstar. He has also used his wealth to construct a manor for himself near Hjaalmarch. It is a massive building (think Windstad Manor with all the add-ons) and houses many trophies of his victory, his guards, and a massive amount of runes and traps for protection. The upper levels of the Manor are reserved usually for members of the Dominion when they need contact him, while the secretive cellar, acts a place for members of the Brotherhood on visits from the Dawnstar Sanctuary, should he not be there. He also keeps his safe, filled with his deeds, gold, jewels, and such items, in his own room. Approaching the house is not dangerous if you are a messenger or a friend, but all are watched by the many guards of the Manor and his companion, Shadowphanx, a long living hunter bird, he asked to accompany him years ago, which he has trained to steal, distract, and attack.

Name: Brynhilde Silver-Eyes (here come the CLICHEEEEES)

Age: 19

Appearance: Le face

Race: Nord, bitchez.

Class (if not a particular class, then just choose seven main skills): Heavy Armour, Blade, Block, Hand to Hand, Light Armour, Blunt, Athletics

Weapons: Crappy iron sword, piece-of-shit iron dagger and an iron battle axe that's falling apart.

Armour (including worn items in general): A set of iron armor, a pair of leather boots, an iron shield and a pair of leather gloves.

Place of birth: Helarchen Creek, Province of Skyrim

Biography: What is there to tell? Her parents were farmers, Brynhilde grew up to be a real bitch to care for, and so dear ol' dad sent her out on her own to learn some lessons. She doesn't know fuck-all about combat, but she's a natural born sellsword, due to her lack of self-preservation and her talent with swinging a sword randomly to hit stuff. She's pretty much broke right now, so she utilizes the skillz she learned on the farm to make money. These skills include chopping wood for inns and gathering veggies for farmers, but she's slowly leaning towards mercenary work.

Obviously enough, she doesn't know the hilt of a dagger from the pointy end, which makes it nearly impossible for her to do a job without fucking something up.

Yup. You know what's creepier? The fact that he NEVER MOVES when I'm awake. But when I'm asleep, I can hear him buzzing around. Right over my head. I think he's conspiring against me; maybe because I have a bad history with bugs.

Also, your character's name keeps confusing me, cause I keep thinking of Birgitte Silver-Bow from the Wheel of Time.
Would be funny if your character happens to have impossible skill with a bow, yet always ends up making mistakes with swords.
Not unlike the aforementioned individual from the Wheel of Time.
