Minimum wage in your nation?

Does your nation have a minimum wage? If yes, how much is it an hour?

Low State has a federal minimum wage of $10.00/hr. This is the minimum anyone can get paid(excludes babysitting, newspaper routes). The provinces have the option of setting their own minimum wage, as long as it is higher than the federal minimum wage.

We certainly have no need for one. Our working class is almost entirely comprised of machines, (mostly MJC drones) so thus things like minimum wage are viewed as comically unnecessary. All profits made are given right to the employer of the drones, set at a fixed percentage of the profit that the CEO of a company assigns.

Minimum wage in New Corda is high because, as a Social-Capitalist country, the accepted attitude is that if the State insures the welfare and benefits of the workers, and keeps their wages high, they will have more money to spend, and will spend it on the goods they make, keeping the economy booming.

We have a statutory minimum wage of $15 per hour for adults who do not receive a salary or pension from the government (well over 95% of the population receives either a reservist's salary/pension or a civil service pension) and who do not have some form of effective workplace representation (this can take the form of a strong union, membership in a fully cooperative enterprise, work in a firm subject to the codetermination laws, or being in a middle or upper management or executive position, and basically covers nearly everyone).

Most people would make more than minimum wage regardless of the laws due to the strength of our economy and the near-ubiquity of worker representation and codetermination in our economy; it's estimated that fewer than 1% of the population are in a position to be covered by the minimum wage laws, and a only a fraction of them have employers who would otherwise seek to pay them below the minimum wage. A chunk of this latter group is composed of emancipated minors (who are legally adults, have finished high school early, and are seeking temporary employment before performing their military service).
