God Is My Tower Of Strength
The Empire of Afalia is extending it's embassy programme. Afalia believes in having diplomatic relations with every nation it can, to improve its prosperity and to lead to a better world, regardless of political ideologies or a nation's particular beliefs.
Embassies in Afalia are located in three different areas of the capital city of Blackdon, Volo Street, Royal Blackdon Lane and Royal Golden Verena Street. Each of these locations has it's benefits.
Volo Street-The quietest, most peaceful street for embassies. Embassies here are usually quite large and can easily house a family of four and above. With nice views of the Blackdon Royal park from just outside the windows there are also some fantastic schools, both primary and secondary, nearby.
Royal Blackdon Lane-The busiest, longest street for embassies. This street, as well as hosting embassies, also hosts major government departments such as the treasury, home office and foreign office of Afalia. Parliament is not far away and neither is the Blackdon stock exchange. Despite being an almost totally governmental street there are a number of cinemas and the popular Grand Theatre nearby.
Royal Golden Verena Street-A third option for embassies. Royal Golden Verena Street, despite it's long title is a small street set back from Royal Blackdon Lane but nearby Volo Street. There are only a limited number of embassies here. The street also houses ancient historic remains of the original Blackdon and because of this is a protected historic site.
The Empire of Afalia believes in full diplomatic immunity for it's ambassadors and staff. This extends to all diplomatic staff stationed in Afalia, from every nation and to all Afalian diplomatic staff stationed in foreign nations. Our diplomatic immunity programme is set out under World Assembly Resolution 22-Diplomatic Protection Act. If your nation does not recognise the legitimacy of the World Assembly or its resolutions we still expect you to abide by our diplomatic immunity policy before the establishment of embassies can occur.
The Afalian Overseas Protection Service, AOPS, a government agency which is responsible for protecting all diplomatic staff in foreign nations and Afalian embassies, offers protection to embassies here. Foreign nations may use AOPS or provide their own security or a mixture of both.
Most weapons are banned. Afalian diplomatic security staff do carry small handgun weapons. Small handguns and rifles are only acceptable, and these must be declared by all diplomats and security staff in application forms. Military class weapons such as machine guns etc. are not acceptable.
Afalia reserves the right to expel any diplomatic staff at any time it sees fit, without having to give a reason.
A current list of all embassies operating in Afalia can be found here
Please complete the application form below and the foreign secretary will approve all new embassies.
We hope you will join our embassy programme and in turn we hope to join yours. Thank you.
