I suppose this is the opposite of a problem on my end, but the "latest threads" includes "So when do we start inviting players for a live trial?" Alas, when I click on it in an effort to see the eighteen posts I've utterly missed, I am told that I am "not authorised to read this forum."

Tantalizing for me, but a possible security breach for the moderators--might want to look into that.

Also, even when every topic in a subforum (correctly) displays as being read, when I navigate to the parent forum, the subforum will still be the unread color.

Maybe-fixed now. Although I'm tempted to just turn it off; our forum is so high-traffic that every forum will be unread for every user almost all the time.

While I managed to find the subscribe to topic thingie at the bottom of the page, I don't think this board will auto-subscribe you to a thread you start/post in... which was really a handy thing over on Jolt. Don't suppose there's a tweak that'll do that for us here, too? (Though there was a certain simplicity of tagging a thread and then just doing an egosearch to track all your 'subcribed' threads down in yon pre-Jolt days.)

Yeah, some of the WA stuff was done before the indents became available and Ifiddled around to fix it -- which will now have to be unfiddled. Also, another one I got phenomenally bored with. I'll do it at the weekend, honest. *looks sincere*

Bearing in mind Kenny's post, possibly a good compromise could be to make the post titles a little smaller so they aren't as noticeable. They are redundant.

The forum looks great, one thing I'd like to see cosmetically would be extra fonts available to use, like on Jolt.

Also, the ability to show who said a quote would be nice, like [quote=violet]blahblahblah[/quote].

Now that we have a forum to ourselves, I've got some CrAzY ideas coming.

There's one thing that I've had an issue with while posting in a few threads, that thankfully wasn't all that frequent. Basically I'd hit submit and the page would simply pop back to the main thread without submitting the post or giving any confirmation of such. There'd be no errors though.

Well, from what I understand, Jolt isn't going away any time soon and will pretty much be an archive for all the old RPs. But if you feel personal close to several threads or like some others, you could just save all them onto your computer (and transfer them over into the subforums like others have done ), or hell, save and fashion some sort of file archive out of them. That's really the best way to go about things.

Wow, I'm a bit surprised.

I have to say, the new forum is faster, and I kinda like it.

Jolt is still around, gives me time to save more threads.

You then click on the image to see the full-size version. Might be a good compromise? (I'm afraid I haven't the slightest idea where to find code for something like that.)

That sounds more like a programming type hurdle than a BBCode thing. Might be worth mentioning in one of the improvements threads.

Mentioning as recommended. I was also going to provide an example of what this looks like from Equilism's forums, but I got distracted by the hosting account and caused our server to freak out by attempting to download a backup copy of our database over dial-up... I'll post a link once we've got it working again.

One thing I'd like to see is for the titles of the latest posts to be displayed on the Board Index - not just the poster name and a link. This is a feature that Jolt offers that I like, along with a quick reply box.

The posts do seem to merge into each other a bit, and I'm not the only one to notice this, perhaps a black outline to the grey boxes would help? something like this: http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t38/ ... 1241270360

I agree with Somewhereistonia, it is hard to tell where one post ends and the other begins. Also, the new forum looks a lot more organized than the other one. It is easier for me to find things. I like that.

This should do the trick assuming this theme is prosilver or prosilver based.

OPEN:
Code: Select all
styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html

FIND:
Code: Select all
<!-- END postrow -->

BEFORE, ADD(add to the number before px until the desired height is reached) :
Code: Select all
<div style="padding-bottom: 5px;"></div>

after that refresh your template ( acp -> styles -> templates -> refresh ) .

It's not Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox 2 (at least from my end).

The site looks the best in Firefox (no scrollbar!) except the ad is cutting off the latest threads with a bit of white.
