Licentiapacisterra Eagles

Manager- Tom Lucan:
The man who managed the first ever Licentian team to face the world, Tom Lucan is back in the national team spotlight, this time managing a Young Eagles side that only contains one senior side member, much less than the side’s last appearance at a Di Bradini Cup. Lucan, still managing Wanderers alongside this new responsibility, has been charged with the task of bringing the Licentian youth to international level, and hopefully a trophy to the RLFA cabinet.

Starting Lineup:

GK – Marcus Simpson – 19 years – SC Montfort
LB – Toby Bishop (C) – 21 years – Carrington United
CB – Euan Jamieson – 20 years – Old Corinthians
CB – Harry Milne – 21 years – Abingdon Celtic
RB – Ali Smith – 19 years – Abingdon Celtic
LM – Neil Watson – 20 years – AFC Farnworth
CM – Jakob Walker – 17 years – Colesham Athletic
CM – Luca Mackay – 21 years - Gaels
RM – Conan Walker - 17 years – Abingdon Celtic
CF – Dylan Cunningham – 21 years – SC Montfort

Under-21 World Cup 7 Champions

The Vilita & Turori Robothings will be making their international debut at the 24th Di Bradini Cup. More information about the Robothings is likely to be learned as they arrive in Starblaydia. They will not have physically entered the pitch prior to the tournament, all testing has strictly been via analysis, simulation and in laboratory settings at various robotics labs throughout Vilita and Atlantian Oceania.

The Robothings are expected to be programmed into a 3-5-2 formation with an unpredictable style of rand(-5,5). The Style of the Robothings will likely become more apparent as any bugs are worked out of the system architecture.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ ] CorsiBot [ - Lake Bekk Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lake Bekk's featured goalkeeper-bot modeled after Vilitan goalkeeper Massimo Corsi. Corsi played much of his career in Giant Zucchini but left after the widely publicized downfall of the nation. Corsi had been an important part of Arkanoid FC's GZPL performances.

[ ] IssahBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
The IssahBot, designed by Crosaibi Robotics, is modeled after former Vilita National Team and Marine Coast United goalkeeper Rory Issah.

[ ] DuikerBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Modeled by Jlinal Robotics after local hero Bryan Pop Duiker who spent most of his career playing his trade on the regional stage, never getting much senior action on the international stage. Following in the footsteps of Corsi and Rory Issah, Duiker looked set to take over the top job upon Corsi's retirement. However, the massive uprising of Jimmy Kater and his superb performances in the Under-21 team kept Duiker on the bench where he has been for a record amount of International games throughout his performance-less career. His club life has been much more fruitful, taking over from Corsi when he left Yeaddin Owls to play overseas, Duiker led the Owls to 7 consecutive Stellar Division championships, before transferring to Strike FC and leading Strike to their 1st, and Duiker's 8th championship. After missing out on the title in Season 13, Duiker decided to return home to Makosile to finish out his career. However, the lure of Marine Coast United was too strong, as they looked for a quick replacement for the aging Rory Issah, and Duiker returned to the club that he played for as a youth, and led them to their first Championship in 11 Seasons in Vilitan Season 15. An aging Duiker lost his place in the squad at Marine to Manolis Masi, and eventually left the club to become player/manager at Jlinal Cove FC.

DEFENDERS:

[ ] AhatBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- D RC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
AhatBot, like its namesake, former Vilitan defender Enzo Ahat, is a Textbook Central Defender.

[ ] AlianaBot [ - Alikki-Corra Robotics - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Despite being modeled after Esemar Aliana who spent much of his career in Yeaddin, the AlianaBot was developed by Alikki-Corra Robotics. Aliana was a promising young utility defender at Alikki-Corra FC who made his first appeances for The U21 side during the successful Runner-Up finish to Jeruselem. He then became a regular on the Subs bench during World Cup 15, the first edition that saw Vilita qualify for the finals. Esemar Aliana would become one of the top defenders in Vilita, and his move to Yeaddin Owls AFC resulted in a plethora of Stellar Division championship medals.

[ ] AfrikkaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
AfrikkaBot produced by Jlinal Robotics highlights the qualities of former Vilitan defender Jaloey Afrikka who was always one of the quiet talents in the Vilita lineup. A regular in the team since graduating from the Under-21 side, Jaloey was always in the roster somewhere, either starting or on the bench, when the Vilitan teamsheet was announced. With the retirement of Vilitan defensive legends Giacomo Adika and Enzo Ahat, Afrikka found himself as first-choice Central Defender for the World Cup 19 Finals. Afrikka was an easy choice for Jlinal Robotics as the memorable defender both started and ended his career with Jlinal Cove FC. In between stints at Jlinal Cove, the well travelled Afrikka was one of few players known to have featured for the Vilitan Trio, after signing with Yeaddin Owls, Afrikka featured for Strike FC and Marine Coast United in addition to a host of other teams throughout his career. Afrikka retired from the Vilitan National Team following World Cup 22.

[ ] AdikaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Jlinal Robotics created AdikaBot in coordination with Crosaibi Robotics production of AhatBot in a share agreement. The qualities of Enzo Ahat and Giacomo Adika were always complimentary, and AdikaBot is expected to feature on the left back position whenever AhatBot is in the center of the defense.

[ ] OllirgBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- D C (SW) ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
OllirgBot is modeled after former Yeaddin Owls defender Matteo Ollirg who made sporatic appearances at Centre-Back for the Vilitan National team while also being an Influencial Club Team player

[ ] SurfBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: U21: REG: ) :: [ N/R ]
Yeaddin Robotics created SurfBot to pay homage to long-time Yeaddin Owls head coach Kenter Surf who was also a defender from time to time in the days prior to his coaching career.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ ] RamziBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
When Crosaibi Robotics first announced their foray into the world of Robotic Athletics, everyone knew what Bot would be their star. RamziBot is of course modeled after Defensive Midfielder Jurgen Ramzi. Ramzi took up a role behind the central midfielders in a strong debutant World Cup 14 Qualifying showing by the Jungle Cats after missing out on the entirety of the World Cup 13 campaign. Ramzi assumed Captaincy of Marine Coast United following the departure of Santo Kecker to Barcoenfuego in Kingsford, and played many successful seasons in Crosaibi. With the lack of a suitable Defensive Midfield replacement, Ramzi was urged by Vilitan head coach Helmut Vilkaus to stay on the international scene well into his 30's. Ramzi agreed, while taking up a new job, as coach of Jlinal Cove FC, where he has begun a transformation which made Jlinal Cove FC look more like a Defensive Midfield training academy.

[ ] RatuvaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D DM RC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Jlinal Robotics designed RatuvaBot after Vilitan defensive midfielder Antonis Ratuva who was first Called to the U21 side for Defensive Midfield cover in U21WCIV, Ratuva had an impressive debut season in Central Defense for Jlinal Wanderers in the Vilitan Lower Leagues, and was first noticed as a National Team candidate when Baron O'Toole attended the Jlinal Wanderers v. Turoki Isle Vilitan Cup match, deciding that he would potentially be best utilized sitting between the midfielders and the defense.

MIDFIELDERS:

[ ] KeckerBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
The pride and joy of Lonngeylin Robotics, KeckerBot is a spitting image of Santo Kecker, the long time Captain of Vilitan National Team - that is with a few extra nuts and bolts. Kecker transferred from Marine Coast United to Barcoenfuego of Kingsford for 6.2m Following World Cup 14. Kecker, a free kick specialist, was left homeless when the Kingsford Pillar League dissolved and decided the time was right for a return to the Vilitan League. While he had originally planned to rejoin Marine Coast United, Kecker ended up at Jungle Strike FC. Kecker, Strike or Marine Coast never revealed any of the reasons behind this decision. Whatever the reason, the effect was clear, with Strike stepping up as the main challenger to Yeaddin Owls in the seasonal challenge for the Stellar Division title, as well as counting up a handful of Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy victories along the way.

[ ] BaledrokadrokaBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
BaledrokadrokaBot, also known simply as "BaleBot" or "BalayBot" was designed by Crosaibi Robotics in a mold similar to that of former Marine Coast United and Vilita midfielder Jonathan Baldrokadroka

[ ] NerniBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
NerniBot was created by Yeaddin Robotics as tribute to one of the most Famous players in Yeaddin and Vilitan history, Tanner Nerni. The Impressive Wing Midifleder, born & raised in Turori by Vilitan parents, saw his first international action in the Atlantian Oceania Cup of Association Football. Nerni's performances at a young age in the AOCAF Cup and for Cednia Beach AFC in Turori earned him what was a then-record transfer to high-flying Yeaddin Owls AFC in Vilitan Season 10. Nerni, however, seemed to have never made the impact on the National Stage, as was the case with many of the Owls stars, who seemed at that time to save their best performances for the league and never walk too far from the bench when the Teal, Orange and Navy are in action. That is, until the World Cup 20 final. It was Nerni's penetrating runs down the right flank that eventually earned Vilita the World Cup for the first time, Nerni scoring the winning goal and becoming the hottest commodity in sport. Eventually, Eastal Lunar tendered an offer no club could refuse, and Nerni was off to his new club for an all-time record Vilitan transfer. Nerni's impact at Eastal Lunar was nothing of what was expected of a World Cup hero, and Nerni made a less than blockbuster move back home to Cednia Beach AFC. However, looking to bolster their Season 17 squad, the Owls came calling once again for their former superstar winger. Nerni helpd the Owls record another Vilitan Cup title, but failed in their goal of a third straight champions league title. Nerni returned to Cednia Beach by request, for a sizable fee, during Season 18. Nerni spent his twilight playing years home at the Beach, before retiring and accepting an offer to coach the Jlinal Wanderers upon their return to the Declasse division in season 22.

[ ] StottBott [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
StottBott was modeled by Crosaibi Robotics after Jonathon Stott, the respected utility midfielder who featured greating in the Vilita Roster during World Cup 14 with many productive performances on the Right Wing.

[ ] MitarokaBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
It was no surprised when Yeaddin Robotics decided to model a bot after former Yeaddin Owls midfielder Calaesa Mitaroka. Mitaroka's Performances for Yeaddin in Season One earned him Youth Player of the Year Honors along with Yeaddin's Stellar Division Championship in the Inagural Vilitan season. Mitaroka never developed into the powerhouse force that was expected from his early performances, but was always expected to make a great coach one day do to his leadership both on and off the field at Yeaddin Owls AFC. Mitaroka has since taken charge of the Vilitan National Team, leading them to the World Cup Finals, proving the validity of the prophecy made many years prior.

[ ] DogbéBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
DogbeBot was developed by Arcticala Robotics as a tribute to Cristian Dogbe, Vilitan midfielder during their debut campaign in World Cup 13 Qualifying.

[ ] ChapmanBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Yeaddin Robotics developed ChapmanBot in the mold of Nigel Chapman who was the Vilitan National Team Captain prior to their entry into the WCC and World Cup Qualifying campaigns prior to World Cup 13. Chapman, who was in the twilight of his career at the time, never featured largely for the National Team after this point.

[ ] ÖstlingBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
ÖstlingBot was modeled by Arcticala Robotics after the Inconsistent but Talented Attacking Midfielder Alexander Östling who was especially reknowned for having the potential to make or break a game by coming on as a sub.

[ ] MelliBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lonngeylin Robotics modeled MelliBot after exciting Central Midfielder Umberto Melli whose brilliant performances in the historical Vilitan Under-21 World Cup 3 team earned him his first call up to the National Team during World Cup 15. Melli was widely considered as one of the most reliable midfielders in all of Vilita.

FORWARDS:

[ ] BandaBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]

Arcticala Robotics created one of the single most anticipated beings in BandaBot. Obviously catered to represent the sensational striker Callum Banda who first appeared for the National team in World Cup 13 and scored the Jungle Cats first ever goal in Inter-NationStatal Competition in the 2-1 over Compound Interest. Banda set a Vilitan record by scoring 10 times during World Cup 19 Qualifying, including his 50th career goal, both in all international competitions, and his 50th Senior-National tally with the equalizer against Tadjikistan. Banda capped off a sensational season by winning his first Vilitan Most Valuable Player award. Banda netted his 196th career Domestic goal for Marine Coast United as he helped return his long-time club to the top of the Stellar Division in Season 15. In Season 16, Banda netted his 200th career goal for Marine Coast United, then shocked the world by announcing he would be leaving the club he had played for his entire career, midway through Season 16. Banda was offerred the job of saving Arcticala Inlet from the threat of relegation, not only as a Striker, but also, as team manager. Banda accepted the job, and not only fired the goals that kept Arcticala Inlet safe, but coached the club to victory in the Vilitan Cup for the 5th time in club history.

[ ] MbidzoBot [ - Lake Bekk Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
MbidzoBot was developed by Lake Bekk Robotics after famed Vilitan striker Carmine Mbidzo. Mbidzo learned from the best as the former Understudy to the inseperable strike partnership of Callum Banda and Jim Vella at Marine Coast United. He transferred to Cednia Beach after Requesting First-Team Football and recorded 25 goals in 32 games in all competitions, breaking all related club records for Cednia at just 16 years old. He led the team to the Vilitan Cup final, only to be defeated by none other than Marine Coast, a goal from friend of the family Baron O'Toole ending Cednia Beach's Cup dream. At seasons end, Mbidzo became the youngest ever recipient of the Vilitan Stellar Division top goalscorer award, and earned a call to the Vilitan National Under-21 team. Mbidzo found life rocky from that point on, however, and decided to try and re-vitalise his career by transferring out of Vilita and into Starblaydia. The gambit obviously worked, and he smashed in 22 goals in in his first season at the Daii, earning himself the plaudits of the Starblaydi fans as well as the scoring the Goal of the Season for Season 1. Regional coach Santo Kecker invited Mbidzo to his squad for AOCAF IX in Cockbill Street, and Mbidzo responded in great form, smashing home 8 goals in 6 games, including the lone goal in both the Semi Finals over Nedalia and the Final against Hypocria to lead the Regional cats to their second Regional Title.

[ ] DuPontBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Lonngeylin Robotics developed DuPontBot after former Academy player Serge DuPont who graduated to the senior squad prior to V-League Season Two. DuPont quickly made his International Senior Debut in World Cup XV Qualfiying against the East Asian Empire and has was favored on the senior bench over veteran Lorenzo Mumamba. DuPont was one of Vilita's top all-time goalscorers at the regional level within Atlantian Oceania. DuPont got his domestic career started with Strike FC, where he went on to score not only a personal record, but the all time Vilitan Domestic record for individual goals in a season, netting 42 times in just 35 matches during Season 5. DuPont spent 5 seasons with Arcticala Inlet and helped transform the club from a mid table side, to a 5-Time Vilitan Cup champion, continuing his prolific scoring form before returning to Strike FC in Season 12. Throughout his domestic career, DuPont netted over 300 goals, and is believed to be the top all-time scorer in the Vilitan League.

[ ] VellaBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Crosaibi chose the Impressive, Undervalued strike partner of Callum Banda at Marine Coast United, Jim Vella, as the mold for their most attack-minded creation.

[ ] MumambaBot [ - Alikki-Corra Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Alikki-Corra Robotics chose to mold their attacking creation around Lorenzo Mumamba who famously scored the Winning Goal in the Cup of Tardy vs. The Weegies.

[ ] SalomónBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 0 CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: ) :: [ N/R ]
Yeaddin Robotics created SalomonBot after German Salomon who helped the Yeaddin Owls to their first Stellar Division Championship in Season One, Leading the Vilitan League in scoring, before transferring to Elders in Kingsford.

"Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to this special FPIBC bulletin on the U-21 national football team. Gregorz van der Riise was the name on everybody's lips earlier today, as he announced his U-21s squad for the twenty-fourth Di Bradini Cup, being held in Starblaydia. These are happy hunting grounds for van der Riise having lifted the trophy in the past, and as such, expectations are sure to be high again here. The Haapa-Mechelin youth academy is well represented once again, as you might expect, with the ever-more celebrated Northbrook Academy represented by a clutch of players as well. Not that this doesn't bring its own pressures with it, of course..."

GK
#1 - GK - Artemiusz Korzhanenko - Age 20 - SK Franz Josef City
#12 - GK - Jakub Ipsen - Age 20 - Jan Mayen Islanders
#13 - GK - Alexis Sand - Age 18 - Red Star Severny
"Aapo Jelavic is now too old, so it falls to Artemiusz Korzhanenko to take up the reigns of the youth goalkeeping position. Sand and Ipsen will be watching closely, eager to gain first hand experience of top level football, and both are top talents for the future. The monstrous Lars Hegg Gammel aside, goalkeeping is not a position at which Polarians usually excel, so to have three keepers with such huge potential in the squad is quite an exciting experience for van der Riise."

DEF
#2 - DR - Alexander Hesjedal - Age 19 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
#3 - DC - Vojta Vlaschenko - Age 20 - FC Cape St Paul
#4 - DC - David Wien - Age 20 - Caernville Seahawks (Liventia)
#5 - DL - Kohev Küngas-Vaga - Age 20 - Northbrook Diamonds FK - CAPTAIN
#19 - DR - Eric Hoen - Age 18 - FC Torshavn
#21 - DL - Otto Zhdanov - Age 20 - FC Torshavn
#22 - DC - Soren Rovanpera - Age 20 - FC Axel Heiburg
#23 - DC - Ibrahim Lahm - Age 18 - Red Star Severny
"After having to bring in all eight defenders from scratch at the last DBC, van der Riise's planning has paid off this time, with many in the side having experience of the competition already. Alexander Hesjedal and Vojta Vlaschenko have both made impressive debuts in the Federation league for their respective clubs. David Wien has again been moved from Jan Mayen to Caernville Seahawks for a season as part of the professional relationship the teams have, and along with Hesjedal, has been promoted from the bench. Lahm is another of the talented youth of Severny right now, and there are escalating whispers around him."

MID
#6 - MC - Ingvar Stenmark - Age 20 - North Star Grímsey
#7 - MR - Marten Juric - Age 18 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
#8 - MC - Jean-Eric Villeneuve - Age 19 - Cap Nordique (Cotdelapoms)
#11 - ML - Noah Lento - Age 18 - Jan Mayen Islanders
#14 - DMC - Oleg Odegaard - Age 20 - FC Cape St Paul - VICE-CAPTAIN
#15 - MC - Jorgen Kirvesniemi - Age 18 - Rapid Jan Mayen FK
#16 - AMC - Nikita Pirinen - Age 18 - FC Solovetsky Monastery
#20 - MC - Fabian Ekman - Age 18 - Koppen Rig Force
"Kirvesniemi and Oleg Odegaard will provide some muscle in the centre of the park, whilst Villeneuve's appearance in the team is going to put to bed rumours of a call up for the Copa Rushmori, for now at least.. Joining the squad for the first time are wingers Juric and Lento, as well as promising Monks attacking midfielder Pirinen and Koppen Rig's standout discovery of last season Fabian Ekman."

ATT
#9 - ST - Vadim Illich-Svitych - Age 20 - FC Axel Heiburg
#10 - ST - Wojciech Jagr - Age 20 - FC Axel Heiburg
#17 - ST - Kjartan Dagfinnursson - Age 18 - SK Franz Josef City
#18 - ST - Aapo Udalov - Age 20 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
"With Saarinen and Niskakangasi both being too old now, the Axel Heiburg pair of Illich-Svitych and Jagr are promoted to 'lead strikers', though with the former's outstanding season in the Federation League last cycle causing heads to turn around the bigger clubs, perhaps it is he who will shoulder the burden in a lone striker formation. Udalov has been quietly building a reputation up north for the Diamonds, whilst for Dagfinnursson, who also qualifies to play for Bleak Rock, it is hoped this youth team outing will convince the talented forward to side with the Terns in future."

Probable Starting formation: 4-1-4-1
-------------------------- Korzhanenko --------------------------
--- Hesjedal ----- Vlaschenko -- Wien ----- Küngas-Vaga ---
---------------------------- Odegaard ----------------------------
---- Juric -------- Villeneuve -- Stenmark -------- Lento ----
-------------------------- Illich-Svitych --------------------------

High Heels Select Women's U-21 Football Team
The Vixens

The days of anonymity are over. Fans around the world have heard the tale of the tower full of hot girls that won the under-21 World Cup. (At least the story always gets told that way. The young women of Högklackat aren't of more memorable appearance than their sisters elsewhere until you put them on a football pitch. And the tower is roughly half-full of males as one might expect.)

Fifteen of the 22 High Heels team members return from the Di Bradini Cup 23 champions. They are led by a genuine superstar in 18-year-old keeper Kaisa Cuban, rookie of the year in The Babbage Islands' FĈB for Sporting Boulder. Her Sporting teammate Meline Stiletto is also on the squad for a third time as a playmaking midfielder with an excellent eye for the net. Veteran leadership comes from captain Brooklyn Cuban in the midfield and towering striker Elspeth Pump in the box. Among the first-timers bubbly and explosive Caroline Cowboy is expected to start on the right wing.

As High Heels prepared for a World Cup 62 debut football authorities tapped Amanda Pump to manage the senior national team. So her former assistant Grainne Cuban now manages the Vixens in this campaign.

The Vixens play a 3-5-2 formation with plenty of style (+4). In the squad list players are listed by position in descending order of skill and reputation, with expected starters in bold.

Strikers

Giulietta Slingback, 18, Museum of Architecture (DBC 23)
Elspeth Pump, 20, College of STEM (DBC 22)
Rada Spool, 18, College of Liberal Arts (DBC 24)
Sophronia Wedge, 14, Power Station (DBC 24)
Isbel Prism, 15, Interfaith Council (DBC 24)

Wingers

Chiara Ballet, 20, Medical Center (DBC 22)
Caroline Cowboy, 16, 49th Floor (DBC 24)
Teodora Ballet, 15, Stock Exchange (DBC 24)
Estera Mule, 18, Police Athletics (DBC 24)

Midfielders

Meline Stiletto, 17, Sporting Boulder (TBI) (DBC 22)
Brooklyn Cuban (captain), 20, College of STEM (DBC 22)
Dierdre Spike, 19, Electricians Brotherhood (DBC 23)
Maretta Ballet, 19, 49th Floor (DBC 22)
Fredica Spool, 20, Parks and Recreation (DBC 23)

Defenders

Pernille Spool, 18, Tower Mall (DBC 22)
Piroska Mule, 20, Freemasons United (DBC 23)
Kathleen Stiletto, 19, Medical Center (DBC 22)
Smilla Kitten, 19, Future City Shows (DBC 22)
Candice Kitten, 18, Fire/Rescue Athletics (DBC 24)
Embla Platform, 15, Museum of Architecture (DBC 24)

Keepers

Kaisa Cuban, 18, Sporting Boulder (TBI) (DBC 22)
Veronica Puppy, 20, College of Business (DBC 22)

Staff

Manager: Grainne Cuban, 38, assistant in DBC 22 and 23
Assistant: Lyndi Spike, 32, new to national team leadership
Trainer: Liselotte Court, 33, third DBC as trainer

RP: Play on, as long as none of my players gets seriously hurt without pre-clearing it.

(NB: Except for the two players already in TBI, all players on the squad will consider transfer offers to clubs around the world. ILH and the 49th floor bureaucrats have decided that they like the boost to the economy.)

About High Heels

The Fifty-Story Arcology (formerly the Most Serene Republic) of High Heels is indeed an arcology, a single 50-story almost-self-contained living environment for thousands. Legally the tower that is High Heels is recognized in Paripana as the city of Högklackat, and IdrottsLiga av Högklackat is an associate member of the Paripana Sporting Council.

The ground floor, or Interface Zone, is where citizens of High Heels interact with the outside world. Above that are 16 zones of three oversized stories each, containing a mixture of residential, clean industrial, commercial, and agricultural (typically hydroponic) uses. The 49th floor, officially the Governance Zone but colloquially simply the 49th Floor, hosts the Hall of the People and most government offices.

(Diagram of the zones of High Heels, with points of interest)

Each citizen is assigned to one of the 16 standard zones at birth or naturalization and takes the surname of that zone. All citizens of a zone must bear different registered given names, although the difference may be as trivial as an alternate spelling and the recent practice of registering a double given name provides differentiation as long as the combination is different even if each element matches someone else. Also, use-names where a citizen is addressed by a name different from the registered name are not uncommon.

High Heels Stadium is located on the 13th floor in the Slingback Zone. Its capacity is only about 2,500, but matches are popular televised fare. Sixteen teams play (semi-)professional association football there.

I know it may sound ridiculous, but it can prepare you for a distant future when Val Kylx has to retire. It can also help you write a creative RP.

Scrap that, Birolika's idea is awesome.

That might be the first time one of my ideas hasn't been met with the response, "Fine, but where are you going to get all those yaks from?"

Official Communicate

The FFFF has officially presented an U-21 team for the 24th Di Bradini Cup. The FFFF would also like to thank Starblaydia for letting Farfadillis be one of the 32 nations which can participate on this U-21 World Cup to help young and talented players develop their footballing skills.

Manager: Forretio Matino (National Team's Manager)
Assistant Manager: Ngundu Mulluka
Scouts: Monuele Di Fini and Horacio Guirrechoa
Nickname: La Nerguyrojite. (Farf name)
Style: +2 (Farfadillis plays +5, however, he's going to try a more defensive form of the same formation)

Starting Eleven:

GK:
Name: Joan Raguzzelli
Team: Koloko FC
Age: 20
Style: Experienced Goalkeeper
Bio: Raguzzelli may be young, but he's experienced; Koloko is a mid-table team which almost never manages to get a good player from their youth system. However, they managed to form Raguzzelli, and gave him playing time since his debut at the age of 16. He's played around 247 official matches for Kolinkens.

LB:
Name: Illi Setentriona (C)
Team: Tympú AC
Age: 21
Style: Can join the attack precisely, good at defending
Bio: Setentriona has 3 caps with the national team, and was one of the players who performed decently in the Cup of Harmony, he's one of the fastest players of the team and is, also, the captain.

CB:
Name: Juan Andres Peperuzzo
Team: FOMT
Age: 19
Style: High and strong, depressing dribbling and passing skills
Bio: Peperuzzo is from Farfadillis' Official Military Team, so he is on the military, that means he's physically gifted and will tend to use that to his advantage. By the way, he's not slow by any means but will send the ball outside the stadium before actually managing to drible a player (there's a funny story about it, known only by Farfs who regularly watch the FFL).

RB:
Name: Cundo Nessi
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 20
Style: Almost perfect tactically sepaking
Bio: Nessi was born in Ruland, known as the "3rd world state", a state where almost everyone is living in poverty, and starving. He was noe of those kids who didn't get an education because of it. However, he did play a lot of football and managed to be spotted by one of Flying Jellyfish's scout. He's almost perfect when it comes to tactics.

CDM:
Name: Frion Wanderis
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 21
Style: Very good defensively, very good dribbler, decent passer.
Bio: Frion Wanderis is a very good in important areas of the midfield, specially on a defensive point of view, the bad thing is he's a bit selfish, and that's not very good for a CDM. He's a very important player of the national team now, and never gets substituted. Another really good player, he's been playing really well lately. He's expected to not under perform.

CM:
Name: Yurpá Mêndêlöíndçêl
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 19
Style: VERY energetic, decent when it comes to technique and superb defensively.
Bio: Yurpá is one of the most promising players here. He's not good with the ball, but he's a ball-recovering machine. He was named most promising young player by the Farfadillis commitee twice. He's finally gotten a solid place on the midfield, playing with O'rosso really gives him cnofidence. He's been kind of underperforming lately, but everyone's sure he'll do well.

LM:
Name: Friekder Dandalleion
Team: Cednia Beach (Turori)
Age: 19
Style: Extremely Fast, always helps on the offense, a bit on the defense, tends to score goals by outrunning players. He's the best player when it comes to counter attacks, Farfadillis best area.
Bio: After being the best Farf player of the Swamp Soccer WC 2, he was called by Ferdullaele FC and started playing on Farfadillis' first division, becoming one of the fans' favourite (who already loved him because of his performance on the SSWC2) and was called for the national team, quickly replacing Bujkanovic. He's a very promising player, and is an example of commitment. He's been demonstarting why he's on the national team's starting line-up. He recently signed for Cednia Beach, being the 1st Farf player to play abroad on an official league.

RM:
Name: Rancisc Tenian
Team: Gwinevra Barbarians (Apox)
Age: 20
Style: Playmaker, horrible at defending
Bio: Tenian was the first player playing for Farfadillis' national team who played on Flying Jellyfish. He signed for Gwinevra Barbarians from Apox recently, helping Flying Jellyfish avoid bankruptcy. He's Faroleran*.

CAM:
Name: Ichi Tuzzio
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 18
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, excellent dribbler, agile, and good playmaker.
Bio: Ichi Tuzzio was originally born on Southern, Dandillis, but due to the fact that if you're born on Dandillis you get Farfadillis' nationality too (and viceversa), he'll be playing for Farfadillis, because he hasn't played any official competition for Dandillis, just unofficial ones. He's demonstrated he's a hell of a player by shining for the national team, becoming Farfadillis' top scorer last cycle at the age of 18. He's expected to lead us to the trophy along with O'rosso.

CAM:
Name: Matí O'rosso
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 21
Style: Fast-paced, agile, perfect playmaker
Bio: The best Farf player last cycle. Not much to say about him except that he's never deen seen under performing. His free kicks equal 1/2 goal. He's expected to lead us to the title.

ST:
Name: Septimus Johans
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 19
Style: Finisher, Awesome Dribbler and good crosser
Bio: He was one of the best players on the WC 61 Qualifyings and demonstrated he's a good crosser and dribbler. He crosses well, dribbles perfectly and finishes even better. He managed to get on the starting line-up over Fu.

Substitutes

GK:
Name: Yundini Fa
Team: Sent 01 (Youth team)
Age: 18
Style: Unkown
Bio: Fa's been called after being U-18 Farf League's best goalkeeper, noone knows how he may perform if he manages to enter the pitch on one of the matches. But people say he's good.

CB:
Name: Shin Dollarfatuyi
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Age: 20
Style: Average in all areas
Bio: Dollarfatuyi is FW's best defender, however, he couldn't manage to get on the starting line-up, but may enter on any match if Peperuzzo under performs.

CDM:
Name: Hu Okno Sereno
Team: Ferdullaele FC (Youth Team)
Age: 17
Style: Very good at defending, very bad at attacking
Bio: Sereno started playing as a defender, however, he was quickly replaced by someone else on the CB position. That wasn't bad at all, as he found out he was actually better off playing another position: CDM.

CAM:
Name: Dieje Fellay
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 17
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, complete forward
Bio: Fellay is a complete forward; he does everything a forward must do at least decently and has the advantage of shooting almost perfectly from long distances. He's one of Farfadillis' best known youth players, but nationally.

ST:
Name: Ferrado Mitanovic
Team: Green Ruland
Age: 16
Style: Unkown
Bio: Mitanovic was called for the U-21 national team because of the Federal Council's 16549th resolution: the U-21 national team must have at least one Rulandese player listed on their roster. He's good according to those who have seen him play, though.

ST:
Name: Yolo Fu
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 21
Style: Perfect poacher
Bio: He's the ideal poacher: Exquisite heading, good finishing, good at reacting, good positioning and fast on short distances. He lost the starting line-up position to Johans, but is expected to get playing time. He's played for Farfadillis' national team twice, scoring one goal.

*: Faroleran: Person born on Puerto Farolero, a Farf state.

Starting Line-up:

-----------------------------------------Johans--------------------------------------------------

--------------------------O'rosso------------------------------Tuzzio--------------------------------

---Dandalleion-----------------------Mêndêlöíndçêl-------------------------------Tenian---------

---------------------------------------------Wanderis------------------------------------------------

Swiss Roster for Under-21 World Cup Debut
Starters:
GK: Armin Dolosovek [Age - 20]
A graduate of the PC Academy, Dolosovek now is a starter for the Mont Blanc professional club. Despite being regularly outshined by 22-year old Swiss goalkeeper Nicholas Jayet, Dolosovek is one of the premier Swiss players of the ages.
Left Back: Lukas Robel [Age - 17]
A bright young prospect currently playing for Charlemagne, Robel's slim build is more than made up for by the ability which he displays on the field. It is rumored professional teams have already begun courting him to play for them.
Left Center Back: Enzo Cidi [Age - 19]
A mostly unknown prospect, Cidi has never played for a Swiss youth theam and yet apparently impressed enough in tryouts that he was selected as a starter. The media plans to follow this new breakout very closely.
Right Center Back: Drago Icheliu [Age - 21]
Nicknamed "the Dragon" two years ago after a series of flamboyant antics, Icheliu, who was once one of the biggest prospects in Swiss footballing, has been nursing an injured hamstring for the past year and a half. Whether this will affect him in the upcoming tournament remains to be seen.
Right Back: Roberto Ciaro [Age - 20]
A starter for the national team and veterab footballer, Ciaro will bring such much needed experience to this team of mostly novices.
Left Midfield: Silas Forucon[Age - 20]
Another player for the national team, though not a starter, a lot of pressure will be placed on Forucon to utilize the flanks and play tactically. As another veteran in an essential position, he will be carrying a lot of the team's weight.
Left Center Midfield: Adrian Tolmeki [Age - 19]
A rising star from Charlemagne and one of the youth league's top players, all eyes are on Tolmeki for this tournament. As he has not yet signed with a team, the upcoming matches will be incredibly important to him.
Right Center Midfield: Pierré Benlizar [Age - 19]
Nicknamed "Slippery P" for his habit of not showing up to matches on time, Benlizar was a controversial decision from the start. Eventually, the managers of the U-21 team decided that his astonishing ability was worth the risks he would bring.
Right Midfield: Lifa Eries [Age - 21]
Eries is one of the best players in not just the youth leagues but also the professional leagues; he is currently one of the top five highest played Swiss players. When interviewed, all he said was: "I wish we could bring Beskid... too bad he's Kinitarian."
Striker: Daniel Artémis [Age - 19]
The famous "Shaolin Sniper," Artémis, who is reportedly looking at international teams, will be using this tournament as his first opportunity to see what foreign competition is like.
Striker: Richard Perry [Age - 19]
The final player for the Swiss team is another starter for the national team. Perry, who is not usually heavy on goal scoring, but rather on assists, will have to be a lot more tactile in the coming games if Switzerland is to advance.

Robothings prepare for Di-Bradini Debut

Without the deep academy system they once had, the Vilitan National Team player pool has found itself devoid of a suitable number of players under the age of 21 to put forward for a team in the DiBradini Cup.

No problem. At least not for Vilita's technology sector. Answering the call with a record turnaround time, Robot Factories in Arcticala, Crosaibi, Alikki-Corra, Yeaddin, Jlinal, Lonngeylin and Lake Bekk have come together to produce a squad of Robothings modeled with the best qualities of former Vilitan greats like Callum Banda, Massimo Corsi and Jurgen Ramzi.

While untested, the new creations are expected to qualify for the DiBradini Cup after being recognized as new citizens of Vilita with a current age of 0 marked at the time of production. Some models will naturally be on the order of days older than others, but in general, the current crop will age at the same rate and be able to continue participating in the DiBradini cup for some time to come before new models will have to be introduced incoporating any lessons learned from this first group.

Of course, with a 21 year gap between production runs, there is certainly concern that, even if the current crop turns out well, the robot factories could potentially lose the recipe with such a long shutdown, which may encourage the Vilitan Football Association to order staggered runs of new models intermittently to maintain the industrial base, and to replace any underperforming models in the group.

The Robothings are as yet an untested and unknown quantity but simulations at Arcticala Robotics show succesful results when pitting the Robothings against other expected inexperienced competition at the DiBradini Cup level. Pre-loading the skills and habitual features of some of Vilita's most experienced players certainly gives the Robothings an advantage throughout the simulations.

The Robothing experiment is the only thing currently keeping the Vilitan Under-21 Squad employed, but there are talks in the future of a hybrid team, including both Robothings and any eligible 'lil Eel-Kitty players. Naturally, the Island Emirate of Turori, despite being represented in the entry blank, is none to happy about having no representatives in the roster. Island Emirate Robotics was not available to step up production in time to meet the need dates of the Vilitan Football Association but has finally begun the design phase, making it likely that should the experiment continue into the next DiBradini Cup, there will also be Turorian Robothings including in the roster.

Youth team prepare for DBC

With no youth system at all in the country and all football restriced to amateur level, as well as the population having just gone over 1000 people two days ago, you'd think that the tiny land of 19th Century Beards wouldn't go past a national team in the footballing world.

The people at the FA in 19th Century Beards apparently don't follow most people's logic, and have sent an Under 21 team to Starblaydia, where they touched down in the wee hours of the morning, to play in the latest installment of the Under 21 World Cup, now called the Di Bradini Cup after one of Starblaydia most famous footballers, Simeone Di Bradini.

The DBC is full of youngsters who dream of being as good as Di Bradini, or whichever footballing hero is prominent their country, and, unlike most kids, some actually have the potential to be, or already are, one of their country's star players. Di Bradini himself started at this level many years ago, back in the original Under-21 World Cup, where he scored Starblaydia's first ever international goal.

No such expectations for the teenagers of 19th Century Beards though, who aren't anticipated to make even a tiny impact on this tournament, and are already decent footballers by our standards, some of whom will be making their appearance in the next World Cup, and one, Joanne Nortal, already has. Former national team goalkeeper and youth team manager Tom Patedson will be relieved about having no weight on his back, and plans to experiment with the attacking 2-2-2-2-2 (nicknamed the 'Crazy Twos'), and positions including attacking wingbacks and defensive midfielders.

19th Century Beards' appearance in this and other competitions going on at the moment, has sparked a debate over whether we should be attending this many competitions, even any at all. Supporters of the statement argue that the (very small) economy of the nation is being compromised by so many people going out to compete, and as a result the country would be thrown into a economic crisis if this continues, and the way to combat this is to limit the competitions that teams can enter. But these are a rather small minority of people, and most are massively in favour of all sports.

Whoever's right and whoever's wrong will all go out the window as most people will be watching the first group stage match against Yesopalitha at 2am BT (Beards time).

With a new uniform and a little bit of experience, the NSI Marills will participate at the Di Bradini Cup 24 once again, after a poor participation last edition, which wasn't really helped by the group selected anyways. Now this time, facing up Dorian and Sonya, Taeshan and fellow Esportivan Cyborg Holland, the Marills want to put up their best fight.

Postby Kiryu-shi » Wed Sep 12, 2012 3:24 pm

A roster detailing the members of the
Kiryu-shi National Football Youth Team,
for competition in the
24th edition of the Di Bradini Cup
submitted for the benefit of potential rivals and interested parties.

Coaching Staff
J.J. Erickson (Head Coach) --- Age: 32
J.J. Erickson was a member of the Kiryu-shi national team up until injuries and family issues forced him out of competitive football prior to the 52nd Cup of Harmony. He never returned to football as a player, but six years later, he has made himself into one of the few qualified football coaches in the country of Kiryu-shi. He quickly worked his way up from an assistant coach at Sakaino University four years ago to a position at the top of the Kasakake University team and an influential voice for the National Sports Committee, with which he holds regular hearings. He is an unconventional tactician, and has experimented with many formations and football philosophies during his still-young tenure with Kasakake. In the Di Bradini Cup, he will hold four defenders back, staggered in a diamond formation, which he hopes will provide confusion for attacking teams as “players will seem to pop out of no where to intercept passes.” Offensively, he has shown a tendency to ignore the wings in favor of encouraging efficient attacks down the middle of the field, with short, quick, passes favored over all else. He will be the only coach accompanying the team to Starblaydia, as bureaucratic red tape prevented an assistant of any kind from being selected.

GK
Megumi Harris (#31) --- Age: 17 --- Sakaino University
Coming from the prestigious Sakaino University, Megumi Harris represents the first true keeping talent developed by the Kiryu-shi academy. While young and understandably raw, Megumi has already started several games for the league-champion Sakaino University senior squad, and is one of the most athletically gifted players in the nation. While she has demonstrated a calm sensibility, she will be asked to take a leadership role for this youth squad, where her abilities will be put to the test.

DF
Hikari Takenomi (#33) --- Age: 20 --- Maruyama University
The younger sister of national team veteran Kenta Takenomi, Hikari has been a young talent in Kiryu-shi for a number of years, and was a participant during the last Di Bradini Cup. Over the last four years, since her international debut, she has become a legitimate star on the Maruyama University team, as her hard tackling and aggressive defending has drawn her great praise. Her ability to quickly cover a lot of distance will be pivotal as she will occupy the unconventional sweeper role in this defense.

Richard McRibberson (#32) --- Age: 21 --- Umeda University
While McRibberson’s experience at this age, a four year starter for Umeda University, is looked upon as a positive, his general lack of athleticism and ability will no doubt hurt the team this year. Only playing due to a rash of injuries to collegiate defenders around the Kiryu-shi league, McRibberson’s slow, clunky style is a liability for the back line. Although he is prone to moments of inspiration, notably scoring several times throughout his college career on impossible-looking heads, his presence will be minimized as much as possible.

Lilly Yume (#4) --- Age: 20
The star of this Di Bradini squad, Yume is back with the youth squad for the second time. While her success in the Di Bradini last tournament led to a overseas contract with Étoile Rouge in the nation of Cotdelapoms, she has remained a presence in the international scene, and was a starter for the World Cup 61 squad that made its way into the round of sixteen. While her inexperience shown threw in international play, her top level speed often disguised tactical and technical errors. As she has grown into herself as an athlete, however, she has begun to dominate matches from the back line, easily manipulating the game with her presence. Look for her to shine playing up and down the right side in the Di Bradini Cup.

Vince Alonzo (#47) --- Age: 21 --- Kasakake University
The final starting defender for the Di Bradini squad, Alonzo is known domestically for his imposing figure. He doesn’t look like a football player, with his bulging shoulders and pronounced gut, but he has shown an ability to flop his body mildly effectively between attacking players and the goal, making him slightly useful from time to time. It will be interesting to see whether or not he stumbles and falls fewer than five times in any given match.

MF
Bernice Pitri (#35) --- Age: 19 --- Aioi University
The lone defensive midfielder on the youth team, Pitri is a temperamental player, and can be very effective interrupting attacking players. Her biggest weakness as a player is her tendency to overcommit and let people get past her, but that aggressiveness is what can make her an imposing player to get close to. She will undoubtably draw her fair share of whistles.

Andrew Sato (#39) --- Age: 20 --- Sakuragi University
Sato is a reliable but unspectacular midfielder. While he has excellent straight line speed, his agility and lateral movement leave a lot to be desired, thus while he can be an effective offensive weapon, he tends to do better when the obvious play is directly ahead of him. He is widely regarded as a poor defender, although has a keen sense of positioning and understanding of where is body needs to be to hinder attacking players, he simply lacks the capacity to successfully challenge attackers, often hitting their shins or simply whiffing a foot by them as they run past.

Yasuhiro Arai (#29) --- Age: 19 --- Kawauchi University
The top scorer for the Kawauchi University squad, Arai is a promising but unreliable midfielder, capable of beautiful goals but also incredible mistakes. Arai is best when the offense runs through him, with passing revolving around getting him the ball in opportunistic locations. While this has the effect of getting him great opportunities which he often converts, he has also made big mental lapses, giving the ball away in bad position or not being aware of both friend and foe on the field. As the Di Bradini will not likely play like Kawauchi University, it will be interesting to see if Arai can adapt to a secondary role. If not, look for him to be pulled early and often, and perhaps even replaced in the starting eleven by promising youngster Bess Mi.

FW
Melanie Jado (#18) --- Age: 20 --- Kasakake University
Jado, a reserve on the previous Di Bradini squad, has come into her own as an attacker over the past season, combining an accurate, effective shot with a good understanding of her positioning. She has great instincts for the game, and while she is not an overwhelmingly athletic player, nor will she beat many defenders in one on one situations, she understand her role well. She has a tendency for the dramatic, with several game-winning goals under her belt, and has a reputation for keeping calm and collected under pressure.

Enéh d'Erdélyi (#22) --- Age: 16 --- Sakaino University
One of the most inexperienced players on the team, d'Erdélyi is a player often compared to Tziganes d’Arányi. d’Erdélyi’s family moved to Kiryu-shi proper four years ago, following the conclusion of the previous AOCAF tournament, as one of many families from the former redheaded colony of Kiryu-shi who moved back following the secularization of Kiryu-shi politics. Her style of play reflects the play of the returning citizens, as she looks to attack the goal every time she gets a foot on the ball. Although she is inexperienced, scouts have labeled her a potentially dangerous attacker, partly based on reputation but also based on a devastating left-footed shot that can seemingly curl into a corner at any given moment. Her relatively diminutive size will likely always keep her from dominating, however.

Wendy Peterson (#23) --- Age: 21 --- Umeda University
Peterson is a relative unknown considering her age. She has been blocked from starting on the Umeda University team due to a combination of the talent ahead of her and injury issues, but she is hoping that the Di Bradini Cup will set the stage for a successful international career. While she is not the most talented player, she is extremely hard working and often wills herself into good position. She is a marvelous distributor of the ball, and she has established pinpoint accuracy in the short-to-mid range passing game. She is not creative in any sense of the word, however, and can be accused of playing her position like a cog in a machine. However, she tends not to make obvious mistakes, except for a general sense of timidity and conservativeness in her play.

Reserves
Rie Ito (#21) --- Age: 17 --- Maruyama University - GK
Donnie Armice (#16) --- Age: 21 --- Sakuragi University - DF
Fassitani Pura (#7) --- Age: 19 --- Sakuragi University - DF/MF
Oren Left (#19) --- Age: 20 --- Amanuma University - DF/MF
Bess Mi (#15) --- Age: 17 --- Aioi University - MF
Izzy Yoshida (#20) --- Age: 21 --- Kasakake University - MF/FW

From the journal of 18-year-old starting keeper Kaisa Cuban, now a professional with Sporting Boulder:

Back for a third time. It's still exciting, not as strange since we played in Starblaydia before. But my teammates feel so young! Was I like that? (Do I want to know?) Ten of us are still together from four years ago, with seven starting. Brooklyn will be a great captain. I voted for her, she got a majority in a three-girl race.

The draw is set, day one is coming fast. We play Union Isle first, then Boring Paradise, and then a rematch with Polar Islandstates. The Chicks will want to even things for our quarterfinal win last time. Only three games, just like the real World Cup group stage. No time for mistakes.

And speaking of the real World Cup, we're going to be there! Amanda is the senior team manager now, and she says we'll send an all-women team. That was a surprise, but it means more of my friends will make it. I've already got a spot as starting keeper. Melody Mule and Nicolette and Meline are in, probably Ciorstadh and Brooklyn, maybe Caroline Cowboy who's our latest find. My professor says it's all marketing, and he could be right.

But I need to put my pen away and join the team now.

Yesopalitha's Di Bradini Cup 24 Roster

After the last qualifying campaign ended in a playoff game loss to Taeshan right before the World Cup Proper, Sir James Handel will be looking for more talent for the next cup.

Nickname: The Sparks

Manager: Peter Bartoli, 46
Assistant Manager: Katherine Nu Manz, 35

The Formation: 3-5-2 (-1 Style Modifier)

The Yesopalithan game has started to become one based on solid defense and rapid counterattacks that catch the other side off balance. The side wingers in the midfield are responsible for helping out the defense as much as required and to push the ball up to the middle three midfielders and the two forwards. There won't be many close-up goals, and headers are almost unheard of except via corner kicks. For Yesopalitha to win by more than two goals in a game is for the team to have a good offensive game. On defense, they concentrate on keeping the ball away from the penalty box; if this means committing a foul and giving up a free kick, they'll give up that free kick. At times, the goalkeeper is called to be the lone man guarding the net, and he/she must be able to face one-on-one situations...

The Starting XI

Goalkeeper: #0 Jing Wang Age: 15 Height: 6 feet, 0 inches
This youth phenom has so much upside that pundits say that she is better than both Jonah Calhoun and Terrance Housen. She needs to prove herself, but her athletic skills and reflexes are something to be absolutely fascinated by. Labeled "Lady Dragon", she is so good that she may be the best goalkeeper Yesopalitha has produced, not that Yesopalitha hasn't had many good goalkeepers already.

Defender: #33 Damian Garcez Age: 16 Height: 6 feet, 2 inches
Garcez has been playing football since he was five, and is now considered good enough to make it on this squad. He has excellent footwork and speed, although his tackling ability is lacking for now. He is also very cerebral.

Defender: #15 Vance Briollet Age: 17 Height: 5 feet, 11 inches
Speedster who thrives on one on one situations, Briollet has one glaring flaw in his game: He can get over-passionate at times. If his head can stay in the game, he can become very reliable and hence become a key part of this team.

Defender: #8 Catherine Peirot Age: 19 Height: 5 feet 7 inches
Young Catherine has learned a lot during her stay at the Yesopalithan league. She has become one of the key players of this squad with her maturity, and wants to see the team go far. Her best skill is ball control. She has also gained the confidence to go up

Midfielder: #20 Katerina Andersen Age: 16 Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Midfielder: #41 Kathryn Vanasse Age: 18 Height: 5 feet 5 inches

Midfielder: #71 Clarence Patterson CAPTAINAge: 19 Height: 6 feet 4 inches

Midfielder: #11 Park Sung Hwan VICE CAPTAIN Age: 20 Height: 5 feet 7 inches

Midfielder: #19 Jacques Kemp Age: 20 Height: 6 feet

Forward: #21 Powell Jackson Age: 18 Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Forward: #62 Victoria Hellion Age: 21 Height: 5 feet 8 inches

Regarding RP permissions - so long as I don't have to replace a large chunk of my roster, thwart a terrorist attack or fend off an invasion, I probably won't have a problem with it. I only ask you be sensible.
