In August 2012, the international financial and banking industry was brought to its knees.
Due to the embargoes on Gholgoth and coupled with the fact that many prominent nations, corporations and banks relied too extensively on a few financial institutions that failed to deliver when their clients needed their services the most, a global recession - some say depression - has affected everyone.
The Union of Responsible Financiers (URF) seeks to restore confidence to the global market in these times of trouble.

Our MISSION STATEMENT
We are a formal association of financial organisations, banking institutions and credit unions, to whom responsibility means the following:
• We will be committed to delivering fair value and quality service to our customers, under the purview of the laws to which we are bound.
• We will be committed to our social responsibility to the communities who we serve, and the employees who work with us.
• We will be committed to maintaining reliable services, and not to be swayed against acting upon the best interests of our clients.
Above all, we will uphold these commitments to our clients, our employees and our communities without fail. Any financial organisation which considers itself to uphold these commitments may submit a letter of interest and links to any relevant material about your organisation's finances or operations.
BENEFITS of MEMBERSHIP
Being a member of the Union of Responsible Financiers means you are able to display that you are a certified member and our logo on your storefront as a sign that you uphold the same commitments as us. The following will represent your membership, and should not be altered or edited in any way:

Furthermore, being a member of the Union of Responsible Financiers means that your organisation is responsible and caring towards your clients, your employees, and your served communities. In this day and age where affiliated marketing is more and more important, the Union of Responsible Financiers will be a positive influence on your organisation's standing with potential clients and the international community, that you won't make the same mistakes.
Beyond our mission, as we are a voluntary association, you are not bound by any other decisions or publications of the Union of Responsible Financiers.
PROCEDURE for RESIGNATION
Given the nature of our association, should we find your organisation or enterprise to have acted irresponsibly, or have otherwise conducted business in such a way that would affect the character and standing of the Union of Responsible Financiers, you will be asked to resign from the association.
This decision is not made by one; although it takes one whistle-blower to start the review process, members will only be asked to resign from the Union of Responsible Financiers with a three-quarters majority vote from the current membership. Due to the perceived conflict of interests, the member in question will not be able to vote, although they will be able to submit a written account of their actions in their defense.
Of course, as a voluntary association, you are free to resign from the association at any time, provided you inform us of your decision.
