Specifics on which each of those links goes to. You can't expect to throw that up every time someone says "Ron Paul" and have them sift through each individual post trying to figure out what specifically you were addressing.

what about FDR's fireside chats which helped calm Ameria's paniced bank runs, has a done something like that? not really . . . FDR is clearly the better president because of his Fireside Chats,which probly only compare to Carters apperances durring the oil crisis, and his New Deal, an overhal that only can be compared to TR's Square Deal.

Carter was a bad President. He really wasn't a liberal and didn't attempt any grand liberal legislation like Clinton or Obama, and combined with a string of bad luck, had a bumbling foreign policy.

Carter did deregulate the American beer industry, allowing a resurgence of Micro brews and home brews. That presents an alternative to piss water American generally call beer.

Even the regular Democrats drug things out. A few hecklers form a town hall meeting and it took the President to get them back on track.

Lyndon Johnson's ghost was probably howling, watching that spectacle of the President not being able to control his own party. Lyndon would have made a few phone calls, had a few meetings and people would have been lined up, ready to vote.

it reminds me of an anecdotes a Senator supposedly told once about LBJ's one-on-one ability to persuade people.

A major bill was coming up for vote, and LBJ wanted to speak to the Senator (while LBJ was still majority leader). When told of this, the Senator supposedly told his aides to keep LBJ away from him at all costs. Why? The Senator was going to vote against LBJ's recommendation, and he knew the minute he was alone in the room with LBJ, he would start to cave.

No. Neoconservatives can have rather good ideas, especially in moderation, and I'd like to have them around to balance out libertarians and paleoconservatives.

I just dislike conservative idea's altogether. I don't have a problem with the "I respect your beliefs" type, but whenever they condemn you for being liberal, that's the type I dislike.
