Anybody happen to see what that counter on the bottom that tells you how many people are watching the screen was when the actual landing/entry was going on?

No matter what that number was, I don't think it was enough. *sigh* why can't the space-lobby have the power of other lobbies?

CURIOSITY Successfully Lands On Surface of Mars

Today is truly a historic day for science and for NASA. At the time of writing, 12:44 AM CST, the Mars Rover CURIOSITY has touched down successfully on the surface of the Red Planet and has transmitted its first image, a 64x64 "thumbnail" taken by the rear camera.

Utterly fascinated by the amount of engineering and physics know-how that went into the landing. Science is truly amazing.
