After having been unofficially closed to the outside world for several years, Vephrall's international transfer window is about to open again. Details of the twenty 1773 Cintrin A clubs including strengths and needs will be posted soon.

The VTF currently has a somewhat strange age policy. There is, at present, no age limit for foreign players, but Vephrallers under the age of 21 are not allowed to play in the VTF. The reason for this is because the VTF does not wish to interfere with Vephrall's college athletics system, thereby ensuring that Vephrese youth are able to gain an education before going off to play football professionally. There is, however, a proposal to institute that age requirement across the board for players of all nationalities. This proposal has not yet passed, and if it does, any existing foreign U21s will still be allowed to play; this may still be a factor to consider, though.

Entries for the next season of international club competition, which will be held during qualification for World Cup 47 (the exact date to be determined when a sufficient number of teams have been entered), are now open. Here is the number of places allocated to each association in TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 15:

Cafundéu, Candelaria And Marquez, Ad’ihan, Septentrionia, Capitalizt SLANI, and Elves Security Forces are allowed four teams.
Jasīʼyūn, Vephrall, Dancougar, Estresse Intenso, Sorthern Northland, West Zirconia, Daehanjeiguk, Aguazul, Taeshan, and Liventia are allowed three teams.
All other associations are allowed two teams.

All associations are additionally allowed to enter three teams in Globe Cup 12 and four second-division teams in Samseong Series B Champions’ Cup 12. (However, the SBCC has an entry cap, so not all entered teams may make it in.)

Final sites may be submitted for the TakilQuip Champions’ Cup and Globe Cup; submissions will not be taken for the SBCC as it is slated to be held in Daehanjeiguk. Please include the city and capacity of the stadium or stadia entered, and remember that venues with capacities less than sixty thousand will not be considered for the Champions’ Cup final.

Submissions will also now be taken for potential title sponsors of Series B Champions’ Cups 13–20. Entrants must submit a wordmark of the sponsor as it should appear on the competition logo (i.e., not a complete logo for the competition; the sponsor logo will simply be inserted in the current design). A vector image (e.g., SVG) is preferred if possible, otherwise a PNG (preferably with a transparent background) at least 250 pixels in width will be accepted. A simple image of the company’s name in a particular typeface style is acceptable, and in such cases the specific font should be identified. OOC players who currently sponsor other club tournaments—myself, Cafundéu/Estresse Intenso, and Ad’ihan/Liventia—are not permitted to enter, and incumbent sponsor Samseong will automatically be entered as a candidate. The winning bid will be announced at the conclusion of Samseong Series B Champions’ Cup 12.

In what was widely regarded as an upset, Bunkar ILS smashed the higher

seeded Pula National 3-1. Pula National started fast, as for the first

twenty five minutes, the kept up a ferocious attack on Bunkar GK Eus

Dilada. In the twentythird, their attack payed off, as Emil Moreno

scored to put Pula National up 1-0. After halftime, however, Bunkar

rallied, getting a goal from Teo Morgan in the 64th. After Pula

National defender Louis Sanre was sent off for misconduct, Quie drained

a PK to put Bunkar up 2-1. Ten minutes later, Frishre scored and

insurance goal for Bunkar, who shut down the rest of the game to get

the win.

FC Lildoy 4, Galartanus 0
In a widely expected and predicted outcome, FC Lildoy crushed

Galartanus thanks to the hat trick by Forward LD and the strong

offensive and defensive play by Racoon, Bruno, Mel, and Flips. LD

started early with a goal in only the second minute. He scored in the

19th, before a long lull to halftime. But after halftime, the Lildoyans

opened up again with a goal from MF Pablo Uribe. Ten minutes later, in

the 67th, LD scored to complete the hattrick.

Pula National 1, Bunkar ILS 0
In a dull game, Pula National beat Bunkar ILS 1-0, but did not secure a

spot in the second round. In the 43d minute, Hendrik Dartid scored for

Pula National, who, for the rest of the game, was anemic and slow.

After holding of Pula National in extra time, Bunkar ILS player

clustered around midfield for a postgame celebration!

FC Lildoy 2, Galartanus 1
With their hopes already dashed, Galartanus had no incentive to play

hard, but play hard they did. FC Lildoy struck first on a goal from LD,

but seconds before th 45 minute mark, Meshan nailed one home to ty it

for Galartanus. But the brave Galarts were undone by super goalkeeping

from FC Lildoy keeper Jakub, and a strong goal from Flips with only 14

minutes left, securing their fate. FC Lildoy advances to play Ecterka

in the next round.

2008 season

The Kelssek Football League (French: Ligue kelssekien de football) is a professional association football league in Kelssek governed by the national football association, Football Kelssek. Formed in 1963, it is the highest-level football league in Kelssek, which is not really saying much. While it is counted as one of the country's four main professional sports leagues, it is a distant fourth and suffers from the sport's secondary status in Kelssek, at least in comparison to leagues of other nations where football is the number one sport, as well as a terrible logo.

Because I run Kelssek in real-time, this is the last completed season from last year. Future entrants to the international club competitions will be based on season-in-progress standings. Don't worry, I have no intention of posting every single matchday, only when it's necessary.

Liga Panuul, 1772 season

The newly-expanded Liga Panuul has completed its first season in the new format. With the expansion from three teams to five, the league season was also lengthened slightly from twenty matches to twenty-four.

One thing did not change: the utter domination of Cimnersog Town, which dropped just five points all season - a 2-2 draw with Fortuna on matchday 11 and the undisputed upset of the season, a 2-1 loss to newcomer Healfat College on matchday 19, which the Pirates surely saw as fitting revenge after an earlier 10-0 obliteration at the hands of Town.

Thanks in large part to the introduction of the two college teams, a team other than Town managed a winning season for the first time since the inaugural season four years ago. Both then and now, that team was Port Healfat, and they are now provisionally qualified for the next Globe Cup.

Paripana Élite League 2170–71

Mundane notices that we should get out of the way now before the interesting bits
The Paripana Sporting Council has found a replacement for the withdrawn Evestigatus Confederation of Sport. The Academy Sporting Association joined the PSC this season, and entered the Paruvia Institute of Technology in Élite League Two. The association, composed of a baker’s dozen of Paripanan “academies,” will enter teams from its cup competition, the Academy Championship Trophy, in the International University Challenge Championship. These academies are not universities per se, though some bear that name, but university-like courses and certifications are among the services they provide. ASA members field amateur teams in the association’s competitions, and unlike many university athletics systems, are not permitted to provide incentives such as scholarships for athletes to join.

At the recommendations of Capitalizt SLANI and Jasĭyun, the Paripana Sporting Council has elected to adopt the recently-popularized Latin orthography of Syokaji, which is somewhat different from the transilteration that was used previously (specifically, ā is changed to æ, ç to c, ī to ĭ, u to û, and ū to u, and ʼ is omitted between vowels). This eliminates the double standard previously held by the PSC with regard to Greek and Syokaji names, by eschewing any use of transliteration. The most obvious change is that 자스연 (Jasīʼyūn) is now rendered Jasĭyun. Jasĭyun’s graphic designers are reportedly too lazy to change their logo to use Latin instead of Hangĭl, though have attempted to hide this by claiming that “it is unwise for us to alter a long-established visual identity at this time.”

Élite League One
After a tense title challenge that at one point saw three teams level on points, the San Diego Iguanas managed to eek out their first Élite League title (and third first-tier title in history) with a fortuitous 1–0 win over Natestadt; a draw would have been insufficient due to losses in both clashes with Qidade Savana. TakilQuip Champions’ Cup runners-up Yuba United finished some distance behind the top three, meaning that if a fifteenth consecutive appearance in the Champions’ Cup group stage is to happen, it’ll have to be earned. Sokojito Dosi again failed to send both its major teams into international competition, though this time only due to Jasĭyun’s reduced coëfficient ranking denying the fourteenth-placed team entry to the Globe Cup. At the bottom of the heap, Lexington FC put on a brave display to become the only promoted team to survive this season; New Haverford Albion will take the plunge downward in their stead.

Élite League Two
In a difficult promotion race, the Penbûlg Donʼûjĭ managed to win their way into the top flight, despite exhaustion from two long cup runs (only one of those was a successful run, mind you; the other was just long). Navarre Town supporters have blamed their unexpected relegation on their own cup run, which seems a rather lame excuse in light of Penbûlg’s success, while the relegation of Tory-on-Rea and Paruvia Tech leaves only four associations with active representation in the Élite League.

Élite League Cup
The highlight of the League Cup came in the third round, and surely requires no explanation (other than to say that the PSC is reviewing its options and may permit itself to draw lots in future editions of the tournament). After the surprise elimination of Yuba United in the quarterfinals at the hands of Dalamjwijĭ by a score of three goals to nil, the Panthers won the cup final in extra time. As the Panthers qualified for the Champions’ Cup through—well, I think if you’ve followed the Élite League at all, you know the drill by now.

Lontorikanische Oberliga

The Oberliga was expanded to twelve teams this season so that the LSB could meet the PSC’s membership requirements. Eintracht Kentral, which had finished one place from the bottom last term, managed to recover in the best possible manner, by winning the league and earning a place in the Élite League Play-in.

LSB-Pokal
For the first time, Élite League Two side VfB Lordrin failed to win the LSB-Pokal, falling in the quarterfinals to eventual league winners Eintracht Kentral. Kentral had a chance to win a non-league double, but slipped up at the final hurdle, losing 1–0 to newly-founded Stahl Medoria at Auswärtssieg Arena despite their designation as the away team.

Premier Community Football League

The Community Athletic Alliance kicked off the first season of the Premier Community Football League this season with twelve teams, the minimum required for PSC membership. Composed mostly of clubs representing small towns and ethnic communities, the CAA emphasizes football at the local level, requiring its members to organize near-daily “walk-in” matches at their stadia that anyone can sign up to play in for a minimal fee—scouts will sometimes drop by these games when not too busy compiling a comprehensive database of Quodite second-division footballers for their favorite computer game. The usual ideals of sportsmanship, respect for opponents and officials, et cetera are also shouted about more loudly in the CAA than other associations, with limited effect.

Paripana Élite League Play-In

In the first ever play-in for promotion to the Élite League, Jasĭyun clubs came up trumps, winning both of the places up for grabs (the winners of the CSL Premier Division and Jasĭyun Ligĭ A were promoted automatically, for a total of four teams) and not having any teams relegated. The play-in was surprisingly Takilan, with an average of over five goals per match.

If successful, the bid would see preliminary matches held at VPU Stadium (capacity 43 700) on the VPU campus (surprise!) and the newly-renovated Paul Grant Field (capacity 55 743) on the Paruvia Tech campus, and the final tournament held at those venues plus Metropolitan Stadium, Commerce Heights (capacity 180 278) and Holmes Stadium, Columbia (capacity 390 100).

The Pre-Season Preview

The teams

Team – Barbossa
Background – Struggled all season for results. The young squad failed to gel and with the lack of movement in the transfer market they’re likely to struggle again. The biggest change in personnel at Vickery Road is their third manager in just over a year.
Stadium - Vickery Road
Capacity – 30,000
Manager – Dennis Vaz Tae former assistant at Skyte looking to cut his teeth as head coach, lack of experience doesn’t bode well.
Star Player – Wayne Rosenior (Mid)
Expectations – Low finish once again but will avoid relegation. Likely to be final year with a few World Beaters as part of the team.

Team – Real Minanda
Background – Haven’t quite splashed the cash as was expected following last season. The fans will expect improvement and Gonzales head could soon be on the chopping block. Dropped a few reserve players, but maybe they weren’t the dead wood around the Estadio de la Esperanza.
Stadium – El Estadio de la Esperanza
Capacity – 58,000
Manager – Hector Gonzales
Star Player – Richard Ramirez (Mid)
Expectations – mid-table scrap, nothing spectacular

Team – Athletic Khaldoon

Background – People expected more movement in the transfer market, but perhaps Fletcher knows better. A good team who will build on last years 4th place or will be re-invigorated with the Prince’s money. Expect top three or heads will roll.

Expectations – slim change of survival. If the Kickers can hold on to a lead they may stay up.

Background – Started last season superbly but the second half soon saw them dragged towards the bottom of the league. Will struggle now that Ollic and Edmundo are overseas . Brought in a few new players but nothing that will set the league a light.

Manager – Alex Rowley backed by the chairman but losing the fans

Expectations – relegation battle a’hoy for the Anchormen

Team – Ridgemont Town
Background – A good performance by Ridgemont after a pre-season slating. 3rd is more than respectable for Town who will look to improve under the charismatic Wilhelmson. They now have a world cup winner available upfront in the shape of Tom Smith.
Stadium - St. Valerie’s Stadium
Capacity – 30,000
Manager – Guus Wilhelmson if he gets the best out of the players should push for the title.
Star Player – Frank Le Tissier (Mid)
Expectations – title challengers, look out for Ridgemont.

Team – Augustus
Background – Signed a deal with Candelaria and Marquez side Arrigo Portugese to act as a feeder club. Will see an influx of young foreigners on loan which may or may not benefit Vianna’s team. Exciting times for Augustus who have always maintained a patchwork team.
Stadium - Nestle Road
Capacity – 24,00
Manager – Gianfranco Vianna may struggle to deal with so many young egos around Nestle Road
Star Player – Hugo Anderson (Mid)
Expectations – mid-table team who will struggle to cause top 4 problems.

Team – Skyte City
Background – Lost out on the title in the last few weeks. Clearly think they have a good enough team to win the league as they have made just the 1 signing. Skyte will be on the lookout for revenge and will surely push Pythons all the way.
Stadium - Grayside Stadium
Capacity – 20,000
Manager – Daryl Ferguson

Expectations – will fight till the final week for the championship.

Team – Almondvale
Background – As predicted finished mid-table last year. Need to pick up more wins on the road this year as away form was dismal. Captain Ugo Stowell looks like he’s past his best, this may be his final year at the top level. Missing star striker Phillipe Deschamps who has moved to Cafundeu. A lack of funds has seen them fail to lure any new faces to Almondvale – except loan defender Antonio Olivera from Sargossa.

Capacity – 25,000
Manager – Fletcher Goodwin, a great young manager who’ll get the best out of his thin squad.
Star Player – Ugo Stowell (Mid)
Expectations – top 6, will outplay the smaller teams but will fail to disrupt the bigger teams.

Team – Jonastown United
Background – Promoted as champions of League I. Have spent a large sum of money this summer to stay in the top flight. How good their acquisitions are is yet to be seen. Manager Ricky Ortega will be under massive pressure to maintain the performances they displayed last year.
Stadium - Caiman Stadium
Capacity – 26,000
Manager – Ricky Ortega is backed by the chairman after last years superb performance and has been given a substantial amount of money to bring in foreign players.
Star Player – Carlos Borges (Str)
Expectations – few and far between, maintaining their position in the top flight is what the fans are hoping for, expect bottom 3.
