Lodestone Resource Technologies is the pinnacle of quality, unparalleled in our craft within The Alliance of Grittonia. Founded in 1832 as a gold mining company, Lodestone has risen to the top of its sector, providing Lochinver and many of its affiliates with construction materials, precious metals, and energy options which verge on the edge of modern-day technological advancement. Headquartered in the financial capital of Briggsmore, Lodestone owns physical assets, such as mines, oilfields, and research & development centers within Lochinver, Tippercommon, San Pellegrino Romana, and The Western Reaches, pooling the finest quality resources, minds, and facilities from each and employing them towards a more refined experience for the customer. Now, Lodestone is the largest metal and energy provider for the nation of Lochinver and the only corporation of its kind currently exporting product. Our pedigree is marginally impressive. We are the provider of construction materials for virtually the entire Lochinver building sector and for the construction of defense systems for Lochinver Ordnance, as well as a trusted partner of the San Pellegrino Romanan oil firm, Energizia Incorporated. With this, I leave you to our humbled storefront, and hope for a healthy business relationship in the future!

  • Please make all orders in the unit of measurement listed. For utility and energy metals, kilograms. For precious metals, troy ounces or kilograms. If you insist on ordering in tonnes or tons, please specify whether it is a short ton (2,000 pounds) or a metric tonne (1,000 kilograms).
  • Keep your orders relatively realistic. I don't care if your Queen wants to go on a mad shopping spree and snatch up all the platinum, but if you only have a population of 6,000,000, you cannot buy billions upon billions of merchandise.
  • Sales of radioactive material are regulated under my discretion.
  • Antiquity will receive a discount of 25%. Corporate Partners will receive a discount of 30%. If you do your own math, you will probably receive a discount of 2%.

Developed

from the Beta C Titanium Alloy created by Dynamet Inc. in the 1960s, Lodestone Hi-Tens™ Titanium Alloy yields extremely high ultimate tensile strengths and resistance to brine and acids. Out of all man-made Titanium alloys created thus far, Lodestone Hi-Tens™ has the highest ultimate tensile strength (1,400 MPa/203,000 psi) and the highest resistance to deformation from heat and stress. Heat treated, Lodestone Hi-Tens™ consists of 3% aluminium, 8% vanadium, 6% chromium, 4% Zirconium, 3.9% molybdenum, 0.1% palladium, 75% Titanium. Lodestone Hi-Tens™ has a melting point of 1650 °C (3000 °F) and a density of 4.82 g/cm3.

While Hi-Tens™ alloy is more expensive than pure Titanium, it is undoubtedly stronger by over 300%. This form of Titanium has found niche roles within industry, known for its ability to resist saline and acidic solutions. Such uses include aircraft landing gear, where tons of aircraft must be supported by the structure of the wheels, and the structure of naval vessels. Its high strength to weight ratio, coupled with its resistance to high temperatures, makes Hi-Tens™ a truly useful construction material on the world stage.

One of the most common forms of the substance, Commercial Grade Titanium is unique for its high-weight to strength ratio, heat resistance, and its difficulty to work in comparison to other substances, Titanium is sometimes seen as a lightweight but strong alternative to low grade steels to strengthen aircraft and vehicle frames while maintaining a low weight, or as components to machines that handle extremely hot temperatures. With a melting point of 1668 °C (3034 °F), Lodestone's standard Commercial Grade Titanium possess an ultimate tensile strength of 460 MPa (66,717.35 psi); on par with some grades of steel. While not as strong as some high-carbon steels, Titanium is nearly 50% lighter than steel and can withstand temperatures of nearly 100 °C higher than high-carbon steel. Titanium is known for its corrosion resistance, and because of such is used in applications requiring contact with seawater. One famous application of Titanium was in the launch keys for Russian satellite rockets where the components of the equipment being used would have torched any other metal.

Aluminum is a lightweight, abundant metal most commonly used in vehicle frames, consumer products (such as aluminum foil, aluminum cans, etc.), and other lightweight applications. With an ultimate tensile strength of only around 15 MPa (2,175.56 psi), aluminum is not ideal for high stress applications, such as the structure of buildings; something where steel would be more suited. It has found a niche role, due in part to its abundance and low density as a popular choice for appliances, vehicles, packaging, and low-stress construction (door frames, window frames, wires, etc.). Aluminum is known for its flexibility, easily worked and machined in comparison to metals such as steel or titanium, making it cheap to produce products from it. Some aluminum alloys can become relatively strong, reaching ultimate tensile strengths of almost 600 MPa (87,022.64 psi).

Image
Source: The Central Highlands, Lochinver | Uses: Electronics, Architecture, Waterproofing
Image
Copper is a ductile metal, known for its thermal and electrical conductivity. Due to these traits, copper has found a place as one of the primary metals used in electrical wires, extremely valuable for its application in such roles. Such wires may be found in computers, circuit boards, magnetrons in microwaves, and any device requiring the transfer of electricity. It has also found a place as an architectural material, famous for its green color after several stages of oxidization and carbonation, as well as its fine reception to welding. With its low melting point, an ultimate tensile strength of 220 MPa and a relatively high density (over 8 g/cm3), copper is not ideal for construction purposes, but in an age of electronics, is very necessary for a nation's industry to survive.

Image
Source: The Central Highlands, Lochinver | Uses: High-Strength Cables, Building Structure
Image
Lodestone C21 High Carbon Steel Alloy is a mainstay in commercial construction. While significantly more dense than titanium (7.8 g/cm3), C21 Steel achieves an ultimate tensile strength of 1840 MPa (266,869.43 psi), making it an asset in certain construction jobs where Titanium would otherwise fail. C21 Steel is what makes up the high-strength cables which suspend the 900,500,000 kg bridge across Bridgeport Harbor into Briggsmore, and what maintain the Economy Center as the largest building in Lochinver, towering over downtown Briggsmore at 500 meters. These applications do have their limits, however, as steel, high in density, is impractical for civilian cars. In lightweight applications, Titanium or Aluminum would be much more applicable, but C21 reigns champion over construction in Lodestone, quite literally propping the nation up on two legs. Heat treated at 700 °C for 28 hours, C21 has a carbon content of 1.05% and are tempered to extreme hardness.

Source: The Central Highlands, Lochinver | Uses: Home Appliances, Applications Requiring Corrosion Resistance
Image
Stainless Steel is an alloy of steel (a carbon-iron alloy) and chromium. This material combines the strength of steel and the corrosion/oxidizing resistant properties of chromium. Lodestone's stainless steel consists of 10.8% chromium and is intended for construction and home applications, immune to the rusting that conventional steel is subject to. Popular in architecture, both for its style and resistance to the elements, stainless steel is a popular material in the design of buildings. Counter-tops, refrigerators, and stoves are popular appliances which take advantage of stainless steel for these very reasons. Stainless Steel possesses an ultimate tensile strength of 860 MPa (124,732.45 psi) (considerably weaker than high carbon steel and titanium), and a density of 8.19 g/cm3, making it slightly heavier than steel.

Image
Source: Sussex, Tippercommon | Uses: High Penetrating Projectiles, Applications Requiring High Heat Resistance
Image
In recent years, the use of high-penetrating projectiles and magnetic accelerated guns have become popular on the stage of International Warfare. A Tungsten Alloy has become extremely useful in this role, particularly due to its density, heat resistance, and strength. Unlike depleted uranium, tungsten does not spontaneously combust in the air, and does not give the perpetual health issues unique to Uranium. Lodestone's tungsten consists of iron, nickel, and tungsten, forming a substance with an ultimate tensile strength of 1,600 MPa (232,060 psi) and a density of 20 g/cm3. Tungsten finds a niche role as a projectile in tank cannons, shrapnel in grenades and artillery shells, and for the uses of Lochinver Ordnance, shrapnel for its proprietary shotgun and explosive rounds. In addition, a powdered version of tungsten can give an explosive a small lethal radius, while maintaining high kinetic energy for its danger zone. This reduces the risk of collateral damage, giving an operator the power to selectively neutralize targets while maintaining the safety of civilians.

Lodestone provides a line of 24 Karat Gold bullion, 24 Karat meaning it is over 99% pure. Gold, due to its non-corrosive properties and relative rarity, has been a way of storing wealth for millenia. A popular choice for jewelry, gold also has uses in electronics, due to its ductility and electric conductivity. However, it remains as the ultimate way to represent a person's wealth. When people think of a bank, they think of vaults lined with walls of gold bullion. There is a reason for this. In recent times, as the value of money has gone down, the value of gold has gone up, making it a truly reliable way of investing, as well as a truly beautiful way to express love through the exchange of a ring, necklace, bracelet, or piece of electronics. If you sit in the lap of luxury, perhaps you wish to drape your corridors in gold ornamentation, your ears in heavy gold earrings, or your meals with thin gold wafers. The possibilities are endless! Lodestone provides the ultimate security over exchanges, ensuring shipment safety.

Pink Gold is an alloy of 4% silver, 21% copper, and 75% gold (18 Karat Gold), giving it a rosy copper color with the luster of gold. Used in jewelry and musical instruments, Pink Gold is more regal than copper, more unique than gold, and just as luxurious as platinum. Popularized by the Russians in the 1800's, Pink Gold, also known as Rose Gold or Russian Gold, still retains its royal stature, allowing interior designers and brides alike to experiment with colors outside your normal yellow gold or grey platinum or silver.

Image
Source: Central The Western Reaches | Aesthetics: Silvery With Luster

What is more royal than gold? Platinum is a rare, silvery metal, unreactive enough to store the wealth of a single man for millenia. One of the rarest metals on Earth, of course platinum has found its niche in the hands of the regal. Even more dense than Gold, Platinum definitely carries the weight of value. Aside from your normal jewelry and currency, Platinum also has scientific applications. Being non-reactive, even under non-inert gases, Platinum is an excellent way to create standards. The international standards for the meter and the kilogram have been kept as a platinum alloy in the past. In addition, platinum is an excellent catalyst, in that it speeds up chemical reactions. Powder platinum is often used in the lab to speed up the ignition of hydrogen and in car engines in catalytic converters.

Whatever use you may find for it, Platinum is definitely a solid way of representing one's status, whether it be in bullion, jewelry, national coin, or scientific research.

The baby brother of gold, or the weapon of choice against a werewolf invasion? Silver is iconic for its use in jewelry, currency, and appliances. Silverware is silver for a reason. Once, Lochinver's currency system was based upon the cost of a pound of sterling silver. Now, it is a popular alternative to gold or platinum. Dental fillings, instruments, and decorative weapons are, just to name a few, modern uses of silver, providing a sense of royalty for 2% the cost.

White Gold is an alloy of gold and an element out of the platinum group; usually nickel, palladium, or nickel, giving it a silvery luster. Lodestone's white gold in particular is 85% gold, 10% platinum, and 5% silver. Thanks to the platinum, white gold gives a ring more of a weighted feel than say silver.

To whom it may concern

We have developed an interest in selling a large amount of surplus uranium. Lately it's been building up and our power plants can't use it all. Our only other option is to slowly down the mining pace, but we can't risk damaging the economy. So Congress has voted to have me sell it off to you and see what we can get in return. If we reach a agreement expect it to arrive in three days by a secure naval fleet. Have a nice day
