The Survivor Stories
The world has fallen, and the living have become prey for the dead. All across America, we have seen the disintegration and downfall of human dominance and society: social order crumbling, infrastructure failing, and the human psyche reverting to its natural state of survival. But is all hope lost? Some say that safety lies in Nebraska. Some, in Europe. Others say that there is no hope, and that there never will be, that all is gone, and they are the only left. Many "opted-out" in the first few weeks of the apocalypse, most succumbed to the hordes of infected, but a small few were able to survive. Now, they must weather this onslaught of the undead the best they can. People will die along the way, friendships and trusts will be broken, but in the end.. will it be for the greater good?
This RP is based off of AMC's The Walking Dead. Our group of characters, not unlike Rick's group of survivors, will start near a city. Instead of being in Atlanta, Georgia, we will start at the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan. There won't necessarily be as many walkers here as in Atlanta, but we will be starting in August, just a month or two away before it really starts to snow in Michigan. That is an added challenge, as well as the fact that large masses of walkers are beginning to migrate west, which will put our group of survivors in danger of encountering a horde. I'm looking for unique characters, so this means not using any of the archetypes used on the show. Sure, you can create a character with Rick's attitude, or have him be a cop, but no copycat characters will be allowed.
