Costa Fieran Coverage on Canal Uno

Antonio: Hello again and we’re back with Canal Uno’s coverage of the 22nd edition of the WorldVision Song Contest.

Diana: Beaming to you live from the beautiful city of Monterra in Mediterra.

Antonio: Says you. And anyway, who do we have as our next act?

Diana: It’s Albertasby with their song “Skeletons”.

Albertasby: Skeletons

Diana: That was nice. A very bare basics performance though. But sometimes it actually works.

Antonio: And did it work this time?

Diana: Sort of. I liked the lyrics but I think there could have been a little more to the performance. Not that it wasn’t bad but it just felt a bit……boring. She is a nice singer though.

Antonio: Meh. I’m not really into that sort of thing anyway.

Diana: That’s not a surprise. And anyway, if you at home want to vote for Albertasby, call the number on your screens, send an SMS to us at 5313 or vote online at www.tvn.co.cf/worlvision. Now Antonio, who do we have next?

Antonio: It’s Crolacia with their entry “My Love”.

Crolacia: My Love

Antonio: Another love song. Another folksy song. Why are we being tortured this way?

Diana: You’d have to admit. The performance was a lot better and Elleman is actually quite good with the violin.

Antonio: And that is supposed to be a plus point?

Diana: Just trying to be fair. Yes, it wasn’t that good but you can’t be bad about everything. However, if you want to vote for it, call the number on your screens, send us an SMS to 5315 or go online to vote. Now, hopefully we have something next that will make things better for Antonio.

Antonio: Who knows? Next up is Zannania with Possibly.

Zannania: Possibly

Diana: Finally, a song with a potential to do very well in this competition.

Antonio: For once, I agree. I’m not usually into this sort of stuff. But it was good. Great even.

Diana: If you’re like us, you can vote for this song by calling the number on your screen, send us an SMS to 5316 or go online to vote. Remember, normal charges apply. Now, who’s next?

Antonio: You have got to be kidding me.

Diana: What?

Antonio: There is a song with sheep up next.

Yakostan: Beards

Diana: Um………well……..

Antonio: What have we just witnessed?

Diana: The death of music as we know it. That’s it everyone. Music has officially died.

Antonio: No one vote for this. Do humanity a favour and refrain from calling the number on your screen or sending us any form of communication. Including smoke signals and pigeons.

Diana: And up next is Calimera. I don’t see how they can make anything worse.

Antonio: It’s Calimera. Anything can happen.

Calimera: Mi Amor

Antonio: Usually, I don’t like being proven wrong about something. But I don’t mind this time. That was the single biggest surprise of the competition. More than some idiot and his singing sheep.

Diana: I think I just wet myself slightly.

Antonio: Stay classy Diana. What did you think of it?

Diana: I thought it was fantastic. Better than Mehr by miles. Yes, the lyrics were a little cheesy, but look at the entry we sent.

Antonio: I agree. It was good. In that sort of way that only South Americans can understand. Definitely voting for this.

Diana: Me too. And I seriously suggest you at home do so as well. Please call the numbers on your screens, send us as many SMS messages to 5319 as possible and go and vote online.

Antonio: Now that desperately endorsing a fellow competitor is done, we’ll be back soon.

Your Hosts:

Jackie  &  Bender

Bender: We're coming at you live from Monterra, Mediterra, host of WorldVision 22! We'll be your access to a variety of Music!
Jackie:Yes. We're your hosts: I'm Jackie.
Bender: And, of course, I'm Bender.
Jackie: Man, Mediterra sure is a beautiful place—all the people are just great here! This is sure to set up a wonderful venue for the hits we're going to see tonight.
Bender: Of course, the crazy amounts of beer they're providing are on the spot, so we can be grateful to their awesome catering. They really know how to serve it! *laughs*
Jackie: We're really just lucky to be here to experience a night of some of the best music these countries have to offer—well, to some degree, anyway.
Bender: Hey, at least I have high hopes!
Jackie: Yes, Bender. We all know you do. Anyway, it seems that the opening act is about to get underway. Here's Mediterra presenting the winner of WorldVision 21, Oda, performing Symphonia!

OPENING ACT:

Bender: That was excellent! Pretty obvious to me why that's the big winner from last time around. Now, the festivities have been kicked off with a bang!
Jackie: You're making it sound like a free-for-all, which, I might point out, it isn't. Still, Oda performed beautifully, and I must say, she deserves every bit of praise she gets. Let's hope that that kind of talent manages to infect the rest of the performers.
Bender: Now that we've mooned over that enough, let's welcome the Republic of Lanos, performing Another Hole in The Ground...Part 2?

REPUBLIC OF LANOS:

Bender: What the hell? If it wasn't clear they were Lanosian, I'd have thought they were Russians that never got over Stalingrad!
Jackie: Not my cup of tea, though it's up to the voters on this one. I'd strongly dissuade them from supporting this one, though. However, if you're just so adamant in support, call 1-800-WVOTING to place your voted in. Once again, that's 1-800-WVOTING.
Bender: With that piece of crap—yes, you heard right, crap—behind us, let's show Phoenigetuzstha a warm welcome, performing the piece Mehr!

PHOENIGETUZSTHA

Bender: Not bad, though now my ears are ringing. There may have been one 'Mehr' too many, but hell, those female backers were looking good!
Jackie: Somehow, I knew you would say that. The song had potential, but I don't think all of it was used. Once again, if you want to vote for this, call 1-800-WVOTING to show your support for Mehr.
Bender: Maybe I should invite one of those backers for a drink up here...
Jackie: *laughs* Let's leave you sexual fantasies before they start, and welcome Bloodbath Generation with A Place of My Own.

BLOODBATH GENERATION:

Bender: We've seen that pain far to often, haven't we? Those lyrics were beautiful, and I think they did a wonderful job.
Jackie: Now, I hate to be the person to put a damper on the moment, but I think that small changes could have been made to improve it, like the fact it was pretty boring in the beginning. However, by the end, I feel that the way it wrapped up, there really was a redeeming quality to it.
Bender:...well, that's one way to put it.*laughs* If you want to vote and show your support for it, call 1-800-WVOTING and put out a big shout out to Bloodbath Generation.
Jackie: Next, the song What Love? is going to come at you from none other than...Polkopia!

POLKOPIA:

Bender: God, how many leaps and twirls do you actually have to do? I feel like I'm at the summer Olympics, not at WorldVision.
Jackie: Y'know, the singing actually wasn't bad,so I don't have a problem with that part.
Bender: Anyway, you know the drill: call into 1-800-WVOTING, and just say that Polkopia has your support. (And to all you wiseguys out there the phone team's been reporting to me, yes, you can improvise.)
Jackie: Well, with Polkopia behind us, let's usher in Lymantatia's entry, Bonjour!

LYMANTATIA:

Bender: The hell? I have four letters to describe this performance: S, H, I, and T.
Jackie: You've got that right; there was nothing at all going on! How can you enter something like this and just stand like a stone—I didn't even particularly enjoy the lyrics!
Bender: Well, something tells me we'll be having our fair share of crap songs this time around. I hope I get proved wrong, though.
Jackie: 1-800-WVOTING is the number, though I hope you have more common sense than to support this. Up next...Satgatagan with Lobo!

SAGATAGAN:

Bender: Not bad...reminds me of the old Wild West movies. Remind me when we get back to Ranbo to revisit the old Lone Ranger series; I've got this urge, now.
Jackie: This may just be a contender, here. Not my favorite genre of music, but something I could live with nonetheless.
Bender: If you support Lobo, voice in your support at our ever busy line, 1-800-WVOTING.
Jackie: Bender, get your lazy butt in gear, and this time around, you introduce the next song.
Bender: *laughs* Look who's the lazy one. Well, here goes. Deblinian Masovia's here, with the piece Modi...Modea O...damn it! I can't pronounce the damn title!
Jackie: It's Modlitwa o Deszcz, dear.
Bender: *ahem* Yes, what she said.

DEBLINIAN MASOVIA:

Bender: Beautiful song, but that first part was hell on my ears.
Jackie: *laughs* Just because you can't understand the lyrics of a language doesn't mean you have to be racially insensitive!
Bender: Who's being racially insensitive? I'm only stating what's true.
Jackie: Well, regardless of being racial or not, all the die-hard fans out there should call the number we've marketed out earlier: 1-800-WVOTING, and show your support for good old DB.
Bender: Now, next up is Drums of Love, the entry from none other than our host, Mediterra!

MEDITERRA

Jackie: Ok. That was probably my current favorite so far. Mediterra really knows it's music, and as host of this WorldVision, really shattered the expectations we've put up for them.
Bender: No kidding! I'd give them a 9.5/10, and that 0.5 that I shaved off is just because everyone knows I'm a jackass, and I'm proud of it.
Jackie: *laughs* Bender, we all know you're too harsh with your judging. I hope that at 1-800-WVOTING, Mediterra's entry receives a lot of votes.

Bender: Well, with that upbeat performance we'll be taking a short break, and be back with you soon.
Jackie: Be sure to stay with us, because we've got much more music to come!

Hosted by Nikolai Fernsov

Nikolai: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Nikolai Fernsov Television! As you may know, with me is former World Hit Festival participant, Anna Pertanova. Anna, which song was your favorite so far?

Anna: So far, my favorite song would have to be Deblinian Masovia's entry. I loved the use of two languages in that song, and they still managed to have a good song.

Nikolai: I'm sorry I asked... my favorite son so far is Phoenigetuzstha's entry. I don't care what you think about it Anna, I still liked it.

Anna: Shouldn't we be getting back to the coverage?

Nikolai: Oh yeah! Sorry folks! Anyway, up next is Mediterra's entry, "Drums of Love."

Mediterra

Nikolai: I think I just found a new favorite! Wow! Loved this one a lot! What about you Anna?

Anna: Yeah, I loved it too, but it's not quite up there as one of my favorites. Certainly in my top three though.

Nikolai: Plus, she is pretty hot to say the least!

Anna: *Rolls Eyes* Oh whatever! Anyway, to vote for it, text 33007 now! Up next we have Redaya's entry, "Stone Hearted."

Redaya

Nikolai: It was alright... nothing special. If anything, Usak looked like he should be in the woods chopping some trees down. He looked like a lumberjack!

Anna: Well, that's pretty random, but anyways, yeah, the song was pretty forgettable...

Nikolai: Maybe it won't score too low in the competition, but that's if people remember to vote for him... anyway, to vote for him, please text 33008 now. Up next, we have Folkand with "Renaissance."

Folkand

Nikolai: Once again, nothing special. They tried to be cheery, but I wasn't having it. It was a bit annoying, actually.

Anna: What are you talking about! I loved that song! It made me feel so happy and energetic! Wow!

Nikolai: Anna, must we disagree on everything?

Anna: Well, yes, as long as you choose to dislike the wrong songs, we will disagree on everything.

Nikolai: Anyway, to vote for this song, please text 33009 now. Up next we have Valcluse's entry, "On My Own."

Valcluse

Nikolai: Seems like yet another cheezy pop song, but they had good voices and a decent performance.

Anna: See, I didn't like their performance, but I loved the song. I hope this song scores high in the competition!

Nikolai: It might, if any of the viewers have the same view as you... anyway, to vote for it, please text the number 33010 now! Up next is Dragion's entry, "Toxic Funland."

Dragion

Nikolai: Wow! Great song! This competition just keeps getting better and better as we go! Your thoughts Anna?

Anna: Well, at first, I heard the melody, and I just rolled my eyes... but then the song got better... and better... and better! I liked it a lot by the end!

NikolaI: Well said Anna, well said. To vote for it, please text 33011. Up next is Kington Langley's entry, "Getting There."

Kington Langley

Nikolai: Oh, cry me a river! Too moody. Geez, I feel like throwing up now... what about you Anna?

Anna: Well, it did make me feel pretty sad actually... but all in all, it wasn't one of my favorites...

Nikolai: It better not be! Anyway, to vote for it, please text 33012 now. We're going to take another break, but we'll be back shortly! Stay tuned!

OOC Warning: This RP uses a lot of explicit language and innuendo's, played for laughs. Stay away if you are weaksauce.

28 - FSSO - "A Sexually Explicit Christmas" by Curtains

As Curtains appeared on stage and the "28 - FSSO" clip played in the background, the audience politely applauded and cheered them onto the stage. In the back row a large Euran contingent roared - "EURA! EURA! EURA! OOOOHRRRAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" They knew what was coming; no-one else did. "A Sexually Explicit Christmas? Must be some sort of snide innuendo, surely not a problem" thought the organisers. Oh how very, very wrong they were as Curtains prepared to violate the innocent minds of millions across the world. A small group, Curtains had two vocalists, male and female, in Sam Fallowton and Amelia Door. Both of these also played the guitar, with Dean Despico on the bass, Lund Hammil on the drums and of course the standard backing orchestra. The orchestra of course were looking at their music sheets with a squirm as they saw the lyrics - they reluctantly raised their instruments...and it began.

(OOC: This is to the tune of I Will Survive.)

Christmas Day is my favourite time
of every year,
but it wouldn't be the same
without a bit of sex and cheer,

My urges have been kept deep within,
where they belong,
but I've grown tired,
and now i'm taking off your thong!

Now it's time to procreate,
not to be celibate,
she kept saying no to me
but I went off in her face,

Damnit, it's in my eye!

It was you who left me
playing with my tool
no sex for me,
just pornography!

(Chorus) So let me dip in your pie,
Let's multiply,
As long as I have a boner
I know we'll be intimate
you and I,

You're lying on your back
and want me to make your boyfriend
watch and see,
what it looks like when I'm pumping
you from ten o'clock till three!

Girl's are in sight,
They won't try to fight,
from the moment that they touch
they're gonna' turn totally bi,

You just sit there and talk
to your friends on the phone,
but hey get ready babe
for a good dicking now they've said
goodbye and so long!

They then break into a funk guitar solo for approximately 15 seconds before resuming the lyrics.

One day you complain that your
arse squeaks when you fart,
but baby we all know thats because
of what we did in the barn,

You want to feel me
you do not care for monogamy,
you take it from me three times a day
but still don't tell your hubby Steve!

It's so very tight,
Good enough for porn,
you're so hot tell me how you get by
while keeping your panties on,

Why the fuck should I get up
and make this girl iced tea,
because if I keep this young lady happy,
she'll ride me harder than a jockey!

(Chorus) So let me dip in your pie,
Let's multiply,
As long as I have a boner
I know we'll be intimate
you and I,

You may have a bra on
and not have those babies out to see,
but baby you've spilt water,
so you can't stop me
from looking through your Baby T!

The guitarists break into another breakdown, lasting 18 seconds, during which all of them removed their robes to reveal diamond encrusted underwear. Then they returned to the final part of the song.

Baby there's nothing left to say
You've taken it ignoring pain,
We've been doing it for hours
and it's becoming a drain,

We're going to do it one more time
I'm going to tap that beautiful ass,
I'll be gentle my sweet baby so don't
you dare give me any sass!

This is the last time I'll put out
it's nearly five o'clock,
you've made me spent
you've got happy
you've ripped off my cock,

Our love is free
No regrets
just one really long party,
but shit I forgot the condom
so for you it's pregnancy!

Well shit there's no time,
for you to cry,
You gave me a lovely time
but now I'm cutting our ties,

Nine months to go
It get's closer every day,
But shit baby that thing is real
and it'll come out of your
va-jay-jay!

The song then comes to an end with an epic breakdown by the guitarists. It comes to a full stop straight after, with them removing their diamond encrusted underwear and standing proudly, legs apart, in front of the horrified audience.

They took a bow, gave the security guards a quick suggestive thrust as they walked onto the stage and jogged off before the host had to come on stage and give them an outro.

29-Greater Iceland, Sprengi-Brandur-''Minecraft Addiction''

Sprengi-Brandur enters the Stage in a Steve-Costume. With a Plastic Note Block Cube. The Song starts {In style with Friday-Rebecca Black}
Something A.M Waking up in my cabin
Gotta be strong, gonna make leather armour
Gotta have my bowl, gotta have mushroom stew
but i dont really like mushroom stew
Walkin on and on i‘m sprintin
Gotta find an abandoned mine-shaft
Gotta catch a minecart, I see a creeper (a creeper)
Dancers, Also in Steve Costumes begin to dance randomly.
Runnin from a creeper
Running for a Diamond
Gonna make my mind up
Which path should i choose
The Dancers begin to throw Minecraft Looking diamonds to the audience.
It's Minecraft,Minecraft
Mine and craft in Minecraft
Everybody's lookin' for the Diamond,Diamond
Minecraft, Minecraft
Mining in Minecraft
Everybody's lookin' for a diamond
Dancers continue To Dance, And Sprengi-Brandur begins to hit the Noteblocks
Mining and mining (Yeah)
Crafting and Crafting (Yeah)
Mine,Mine,Mine,Mine
Lookin' for the diamond

Almost midnight, Running to my cabin
Sprintin so fast, I wish i had a potion
Mine,Mine think about a mine
You know you can think
I got this, you got this
My sword is out of iron, ay
I got this, you got this
Now you can fight

Running from a creeper
Running for a diamond
Gotta make my mind up
Wich path should i choose?

It's Minecraft,Minecraft
Mine and craft in Minecraft
Every body is looking for a diamond, diamond
Minecraft,Minecraft
Mining in Minecraft
Everybody is looking for a diamond

Mining and mining (Yeah)
Crafting and Crafting (Yeah)
Mine,Mine,Mine,Mine
Lookin' for the diamond

Yesterday was Minecraft, Minecraft
Today i-is Minecraft, Minecraft (Minecraftin')
We-we-we are Minecrafters
We Are minecraft
We gonna have a Lan-Party

Tomorrow is Minecraft
And Minecraft comes after ... wards
I don't want this Game to end

The song ends and Sprengi-Brandur and his dancers leave the stage.

QBC-The Official Quebecois Coverage of WorldVision 22(4)

Diane: Bonjour, madames et monsieurs. We're on our way to the 14th Entry of the night, from the New United Equestria.
Corneille: Hope you've had your well-deserved break and hope to engage into the music!

New World Equestria-Don't need you

Diane: And that was Dekalana Vashenkov's Don't need you!
Corneille: It certainly missed something. Some parts didn't fit together.
Diane: I agree. Surely, it wasn't among the best, but better than many performances we have seen tonight.
Corneille: so, if you feel like this song is great, please vote 'NEW WORLD EQUESTRIA' on www.qbc.que/WorldVision or send a SMS message ''1114''.
Diane: And now we have Albertasby.

Albertasby-Skeleton

Corneille: And that was Skeleton by Melody Star. How was it,Diane?
Diane: Well, I think the song was mediocre. Lyrics are really good, but her voice was dull and didn't fit the song for beginning and the first chorus. But otherwise, her voice was brilliant. Despite
Corneille: I have quite a negative view about staging. It was dull and at the end, the change of colour from white to red to green and her hand sign were somehow irrelevant. Melody have said in previous interviews done by other broadcasters that she's going to show the world that a World Vision song could be all about the message, the lyrics and the talent rather than the whole performance and show aspect that it had become.
What she didn't realise is that she also needs some performance, background staging and show aspects in order to do really well in this contest and make her song a masterpiece. If she wanted to show the world her true talent, she also have to use some background and stage performance that could've made this song a masterpiece. She didn't.
Diane: Well, that was very negative of you. You made the song sounds even worse than that Fascist or Prince Jacques song.
Corneille: Diane. Even if the musical aspects were brilliant or so, at least some kind of performance is needed on WorldVision, in order to succeed.
Diane: But,still she did brilliantly otherwise! Regardless, we have to move on. If you surely loved this and disagree with Corneille, please vote ''ALBERTASBY'' on our website or send ''1115'' on SMS.
Corneille: And now, we have Crolacia! Let's see what they have for tonight!

Crolacia-My Love

Diane: And that was My love by Ellemann Gustavsson. How was it?
Corneille: The dancing was surely impressive, the background was impressive. the song fitted perfectly to the genre of the song.
Diane: I liked it. It's among the better of the songs we have tonight for sure. This is from another branch of the country music, which you could often hear it from country radio stations. The violon instrumental and background music were impressive!
Corneille: Hope I could hear this song on radio when I go to my summer vacation at Senneterre next week. If you loved this song and want to sing this to your love, please vote 'CROLACIA' on our website or send ''1116'' on SMS.
Diane: And now we have Zannania.

Zannania-Possibly

Corneille: And that was Possibly by Marc Grassroot. What do you think,Diane?
Diane: Well. Only a sentence to explain. The song was perfect!
Corneille: I have to agree. I could see this getting lots of votes from juries and probably televoters. So, what's your favourites so far?
Diane: Well, certainly this one with Sagatagan, Polkopia and Kington Langley right behind.
Corneille: I'm with Mehr, but Possibly isn't so far behind with The Drum of Love, Getting there and Toxic Funland.
Diane: Toxic Funland?
Corneille: Everyone can have their opinion.
Diane: Sure. If you loved this song, please vote 'ZANNANIA' on www.qbc.que/WorldVision or ''1117'' on SMS.
Corneille: And now we have Yakostan.

Yakostan-Beards(Ba Ba Ba)

Corneille:......
Diane:........ What the ****ing **** was that?
Corneille: I wish I knew,Diane. This time, I have to agree with your swears against this song.
Diane: Another song with a Nul point,I guess.
Corneille: Ladies and Gentlemen, the SMS and internet voting service is not available on this song.

Calimera-Mi Amor(My love)

Corneille: And that was Mi Amor by Fernando Villalba. Certainly better than the one before, right?
Diane: Yep. This song's a good party piece, good enough to captivate the previously-bewildered crowd right here.
Corneille: That was decent, I have to agree with that.
Diane: If you want to dance along this, please vote 'CALIMERA' on our website or send '1119' on SMS.
Corneille: And now, we have Anollasia!

Anollasia-Just Keep going on

Diane: And that was Just Keep going on by the Bernsters. How was it?
Corneille: I think it was decent. Nothing other than that.
Diane: Same applies to me. I kinda liked their singing.
Corneille: Well, that's great. If you liked this song, please vote 'ANOLLASIA' on our website or send '1120' on SMS.
Diane: Now, it's the Quebec's turn! The song will be Eternal Reminiscence by Rogue. Rogue is extremely well known and successful in Quebec for their poetic, romantic lyrics and music which is the mixture of Alternate, Progressive Rock, Heavy Metal and love Ballads.
Corneille: This is their first Television appearance in 3 years. Ladies and gentlemen, Rogue!

The Royal Kingdom of Quebec-Eternal Reminiscence

Diane: Surely, that was another masterpiece.
Corneille: The staging was fine. It well balanced the stage lights and attention between Ms.Watson and the rest of the band.
Diane: Their background music was beautiful. Erina's voice perfectly fitted the song. Her conveying of sadness and missing her lover's well expressed. They have done a great musical transition from their last album, I guess.
Corneille: Certainly among the bests for sure. Malheuresement, nous ne pouvons pas vote our own nation.
Diane: Yeah. That sucks. Regardless, we are going to take a short commerical break! Stay tuned!
For the suffering lovers, the official commerial song of the QBC is on, as the program changes to the commercials from 5:33-5:52.

"Hit the City"
Performed by Gen1

Four members of Gen1--Susanna Aleppen, Heather Dupacche, Nora Butein, and Michael Fosburg--take the stage. When only one of them is singing, the others are gathered around behind them, nodding in time. The background instrumentation includes some strong clarinet parts during the verses, contrasting with louder guitars when everyone's singing.

Susanna:
You always hear me screaming
I'll tell you what I say
I wanna hit the city
I think today's the day
Just find another station
Wait for the train to fill
And when we crowd together
Go on and fire at will.

As she finishes singing, the others march out to form a line next to her and immediately join in.

Others:
You want to hit the city?
There isn't any rush.

They stay alongside her, hmming above her melody as she sings solo again.

Susanna:

Not gonna sit around and
Just shut up from a hush.
I'm making up my mind
I swear that I'll stick with it
The city's gonna find
That it won't know what hit it.

The instrumentals cut out for the last line and the lights flash wilder colors, as Susanna, Nora, and Michael step back, leaving Heather on her own for verse 2.

Heather:

My neck still hurts from craning
To look at all the signs.
My energy is waning
From standing in the lines.
I look in all the shadows
And now I have a hunch
The city could just crumple
Behind a single punch.

Others:
You want to hit the city?
You really have the speed?

Heather:
I don't know what I have yet
But I know what I need.
I won't fall into huddles
To hurry up and wait.
We won't know what we love
Till we reach for what we hate.

Instrumentals. Heather and Susanna back up towards opposite ends of the stage, and Michael backs up to the edge of the pool. The women sing background "ooh"s as he sings the bridge.

I love the stiches turning
As a baseball leaves the park
I love the first few planets
That come out after dark
Oh, I love to dance till sunrise
Somewhere behind the smog
But if I'm going to stand with you
I'm going down whole hog.

Susanna and Heather make their way forward as Nora sings the last verse, joining Michael at the pool edge.

Before I get much older
Before I lose my nerves
The city's gonna get it
And get what it deserves.
Another swarm of people
Some were born and some died
Another punch hurts no one.
Everyone step aside.

Michael takes Susanna's hand as they switch off for the last chorus.

Others: We're gonna hit the city!
Nora: You all know how it works.
Susanna: The teachers and the nurses.
Heather: Conductors and the clerks.
Nora: We're gonna hit the city
Before we get too old
Michael: One hand's enough for punching.
One hand's enough to hold.

They smile and leave the stage.

SVTV - WorldVision Song Contest 22 Coverage
"Let the Music Live!"
"Sia che lá Musicia dal Evio"
"Lasciate che la Musica dal vivo"

This years commentary will be provided by Ariella Montino and Luca Baret. The commentary will be provided in a mix of Valettan, English and Italian to reflect the fact that citizens of San Valetta are trilingual, however for this purpose they will be translated into English, which is the primary language used anyway.

Ariella: Welcome San Valetta to the 22nd edition of the WorldVision Song Contest!
Luca: We are live from the city of Monterra, in the beautiful country of Mediterra, to mark the San Valettan début into the WorldVision Song Contest!
Ariella: We are being represented by the fantastic Sierra Bocci, singing the song Mad World! Anyway, it's time for the opening act!

Opening Act
Luca: That was Symphonia by Oda. The winner of WorldVision 21.
Ariella: Definitely a worthy winner. Let's hope that Sierra can impress the crowds like Oda!
Luca: But let's not dwell on the past. The act in the dreaded number one slot this evening is Lanos!
Ariella: I heard them rehearsing. This should be interesting.
Luca: Who knows, they could surprise us! This is Blue Void, singing Another Hole In The Ground, Part 2. Representing Lanos.

01. Lanos: Another Hole in the Ground, Part 2 - Blue Void
Ariella: Looks like we won't be going home in last place tonight at least!
Luca: Oh come on, it wasn't that bad!
Ariella: Very short. And slightly repetitive, but it's fine. Whatever floats your boat.
Luca: If this floats YOUR boat, then pick up the phone and dial 0875 00 01. Calls are FREE from ValTEL landlines.

02. Phoenigetuzstha: Mehr - Ashgur Damantibal
Luca: I had lots of fun learning to pronounce this country and their entry. Really. I did.
Ariella: Thank god they sang in English. That's all I can say.
Luca: In other news, names aside, I enjoyed this song. Catchy lyrics, catchy music, and catchy choreography.
Ariella: I agree, this could be serious competition for Sierra! To support Phoenigetuzstha, then dial 0875 00 02 to register your vote. Calls are FREE from ValTEL landlines.

03. Bloodbath Generation: A Place All My Own - Mackenzie's Friends
Ariella: Not really much to say about this entry. If you like it, phone 0875 00 02 to vote for Bloodbath Generation. Calls are free from ValTEL landlines.
Luca: Moving swiftly on...

More commentary to be added.

NATV Commentary

Tom: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to NATV'S Commentary on this year's WorldVision Song Contest.

Emre: Yes, this year Anollasia will be joining too. Good luck to everyone. May the best win!

Tom: What entry do we have now?

Emre: ''Symphonia'' by Oda.

Opening act: Symphonia by Oda

Tom: Bravo! Bravo! *applauds crazily*

Emre: Yes, and it's catchy, but not in an annoying way.

Tom: And now, here's Lanos, with it's song, ''Another Hole In The Ground Part II'' by Blue Void.

Lanos: ''Another Hole In The Ground Part II'' by Blue Void

Tom: Couldn't they have found another subject to sing about?

Emre: I agree. Fascism is not good. But, there were many more subjects to sing about. Let's not make WorldVision political, people! It's all about the fun!

Tom: You have a point, there. If you somehow liked this song, then text us '1536' or visit our website, WorldVision Anollasia.com, and vote. Up next is, Phoenigetuzstha, with it's song, ''Mehr'' by Ashgur Damantibal.

Phoenigetuzstha: ''Mehr'' by Ashgur Damantibal

Tom: Meh. Lyrics are okay, but, it's too repitive.

Emre: But, if we were judging it by catchiness, then, it's great!

Tom: Catchiness isn't most important, according to me, at least. If you liked this song, maybe, because it's catchy, then text us '2177, or vote on our website. Anyway, next, we have Bloodbath Generation, with their song, ''A Place All My Own'' by Mackenzie's Friends.

Bloodbath Generation: ''A Place All My Own'' by Mackenzie's Friends

Tom: Wow, that was touching.

Emre: I would give that some points, they really sung that with passion. I haven't heard many songs like that since, 1999!

Tom: The backstory was sad. They really have done a good job. If you liked that song, like us, because of the backstory or the passion, text '3418', or vote on our website. Sorry folks, I'm afraid we have a commercial break. Stay tuned for more commentary on the 22nd WorldVision Song Contest!

(Note: To get the feeling of what kind of dance moves the Cupids are doing, you should watch this music video, Swiss Lips - Danz, as they are basically doing the dance moves in the video)

The Grittonian Isles - Ivanka Lovealot and the Cupids
Love Limited

Ivanka Lovealot and the Cupids entered the stage, already prepared for their performance. The Cupids currently consisted of a couple of middle-aged men, some would call them bears, in business suits while Ivanka wore a schoolgirl uniform, with a skirt that was way too skimpy to really cover anything up.

Some tables stood on stage, the kind usually found in classrooms, and the men took their places behind the tables, sitting on chairs that had been conveniently placed behind the tables, making it so that the backs of the middle-aged men were towards the crowd. Ivanka took her place in front of a blackboard with the crowd going wild, for they knew that they were finally going to enjoy a good performance and even better song.

All bored, never free,
Love leaves you, love leaves me,
Let the weekend set you free,
When you go around in glee!

The men stand up and turn around, allowing the chairs and tables to be pulled off the stage by talented Grittonian engineers, which usually accompanied the Grittophile Block acts due to the heavy duty needs of their acts, before tearing off their suits and throwing them into the crowd. The same time, the blackboard gets pulled off the stage and Ivanka walks forwards, being accompanied by the middle-aged men who are now in their Cupid costumes, wearing nothing more than a specially designed 'diaper' and a bow and massive, probably filled with something, arrow that they had hid under the tables. The men reveal themselves to be quite muscular, with some featuring body hair, and thus going for the traditional bear look while others have no body hair at all.

Catchy dance music turns on as the Cupids show off some very... legendary/hilarious dance moves. Ivanka, in the mean time, tears off her schoolgirl uniforms, throws it in the audience and shows off a even skimpier dance outfit, in a sparkly red color covered in glitters.

Love is limited as you know,
Men and women love the show,
Dancing to the midnight light,
Love is fleeing out of sight,
Thinking you are at your best,
You try taking love it's test

Ivanka now does the awesome dance moves while the Cupids fire off their arrows in the sky, exploding into a rain of hart-shaped candy above the crowd. After the crowd goes wild with this new development, the Cupids do some cartwheels before continuing with their dance routine.

L. O. V. E., you know what and I know me,
L. O. V. E., love is best when it is free,
L. O. V. E., dance all night, it's you and me,
L. O. V. E., love is limited, who is free?

L. O. V. E., you know what and I know me,
L. O. V. E., love is free when you agree,
L. O. V. E., dance all night, it's you and me,
L. O. V. E., feeling up the lover's tree!

Suddenly, around twenty four and five year old children, both male and female, are seen flying around the ceiling, looking just absolutely cute and lovable in their little cupid outfits. Carrying little bows and small arrow dispensers, they fire off their arrows during the song, their arrows exploding open to rain hart-shaped lollipops unto the crowd.

Pain and sorrow, no regrets,
No one counts when you are next,
Feeling rhythem from the threats,

Gay or straight, it must not seem,
Love is all that it will beam,
Granting glory from it's stream,
Eternal fountain, lending lean,
Love the love, love it mean

Even more Cupids enter the stage, this time around sixteen or seventeen of age. Only consisting of well-endowed and developed guys, these were to appeal to the gay boys/guys and girls. Firing off massive arrows filled with various goodies in hart-shapes, including strings and condoms, Ivanka stole the show with a killer voice and even better looks. While other nations simply sent who they liked, Grittonia, their province Northern Palmouth and their brother nation The Grittonian Isles were able to tap the qualities of the best, sending not only the best of their nation but the best of the world. Being a nation focused on culture had it's advantages.

LO. V. E., you know what and I know me,
LO. V. E., love is best when it is free,
LO. V. E., dance all night, it's you and me,
LO. V. E., love is limited, who is free?

LO. V. E., you know what and I know me,
LO. V. E., love is free when you agree,
LO. V. E., dance all night, it's you and me,
LO. V. E., feeling up the lover's tree!

LO. V. E., love is limited, love is free!

As the song ended, fire spewed upwards and the crowd, which was going plain mental at this point, was showered in a rain of hart-shaped glitters. Slowly leaving the stage, Ivanka and the Cupids' names were shouted by the crowd, who wished that they would return and give a encore.

(OOC: Might add a little more of the performance later on, made this just before I went to bed)

33 - Central Lothian: I'm Still Here, performed by Laura Francis
(Performed to the music of the United Kingdom's entry in Eurovision in 2009.)

The scene: Wearing a full-length black dress, Laura stands on a fake platform with a few steps leading between it and the stage. The stage is initally in darkness, before a spotlight appears on her as she starts singing. Whilst singing the first verse, she walks along the platform, reaching the steps at the end of the final line of the first verse, where she performed the chorus.

I met you, it was June
And I loved you right then
But when you left me, it felt bad
I still hope you return some day

I'm still here, I'm still here
Still waiting, hoping you'll soon be back with me
Still here, I'm still waiting
For your return
You never should have left me
There's still so much we could do

By now, the full stage had been lit up (which it had been since the start of the chorus) and wasn't showing any signs of nervousness - possibly as a result of her time on The X Factor. During the next verse and chorus, she would slowly walk down the stairs.

Was it something I said or did?
I wish I knew back then
As you may still be here with me
Remembering the fun we shared

I'm still here, I'm still here
Still waiting, hoping you'll soon be back with me
Still here, I'm still waiting
For your return
You never should have left me
There's still so much we could do

By the end of the chorus, she had made it down to the bottom of the steps and, during the instrumental, walks over to the piano that's being played during the song, putting her free hand on the piano whilst doing the next bit.

You'll never know the things you missed
With me, with me

I'm still here, I'm still here
Still waiting, hoping you'll soon be back with me
Still here, I'm still waiting
For your return
You never should have left me
There's still so much we could do

I really hope you do come back

During the last chorus, she walks to the middle of the stage, reaching there by the end of the second line and would sing the rest of the song there. After performing, she says "thank you" before walking off stage, smiling and waving to the crowd as she does so.
Please note: Central Lothian is the direct successor to Mid Lothian*. As a result, I am still called Rebecca, I am still a Grammar Nazi and most information pertaining to ML also applies to CL (although I will be taking this time to change a few things).

* - And I may refer to the country as Mid Lothian. If I do, assume that I mean Central Lothian. (And not to be confused with "Midlothian" - I'm using that as a fascist version of CL.)

34- Alone By Loraine Swaisky

And with a sudden clash of cymbals mists envelopes the stage. Out comes a single drummer beating a deathmarch.

Dut, dut, dutdududut, echoes throughout the hall.

And then through the mist a red haired girl comes to a lone microphone and begins to sing in a haunting soprano.

All Alone,
The pain grows inside of me,
The Knights are dark,
They are lonely.
It seems to be,
just me alone,
and it scares the hell out of me.

Then a screeched guitar slams into the music. A 13 second guitar solo of hammer ons and pull offs turns the song somber mood into a suddenly upbeat rhythm.

But i can see, that maybe life,
is not so dark, without you.
I cry and i sob, but you wont come back,
I have life after your death, but its only partial.
Who am i, without you?
Who am I without you?

We were two, but now i am just one.
A couple, but now im Alone.
Alone to face the new day,
to face all the worlds shades of gray.
Alone inside my head,
all alone on our big bed.

Time will only tell, if you will come back,
if you are truly gone, and im alone in this hell.
Its dark inside, and outside my mind,
but still i hope. That one day soon.
I will no longer be alone.
Who am i without you?
And who are you without me?

Goodbye for now, i hope to see you again,
but one day if we never meet again,
i hope to find out who we really are,
and if maybe i was meant for more,
than just being alone.

Deathmarch returns and ends the guitar, and beats out the song slowly to an end.

35 -- Zokoria: That Girl on the Park by Magnus Rieber

Ooh, ah... Ooh, ah... Ooh, ah... Ooh, ah...

Verse 1:
There's a girl that I never knew before
She's a pretty girl next door
How can I be so happy
By the way she smiles with joy and glee.

Hey girl, be a part of my world,
Together we'll be on a whirl...
My life quickly dies
When you stare at me with your bright eyes...

Chorus:
Your smile is so precious to me,
Your stare is like your speciality,
Your soul brightens up my day,
I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

Your skin's so smooth as silk,
Your lips taste as pure as milk,
Your beauty is shining right at me,
So, I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

Verse 2:
She's looking at me so awkwardly
Something like a monster from above
I keep on staring at her eyes
My heart is pounding with so much love

There's an apple above her head
Oh, gosh, I might be thinking I'm dead
She ate that apple that fell to the ground
My heart stays quiet, safe and sound

Chorus:
Your smile is so precious to me,
Your stare is like your speciality,
Your soul brightens up my day,
I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

Your skin's so smooth as silk,
Your lips taste as pure as milk,
Your beauty is shining right at me,
So, I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

(Repeat chorus)

(Intermission)

Bridge:
Your words blow my breath away,
Your spirit makes me kneel and pray,
Your taste makes my tummy so full,
So, I don't want to be alone
With that Girl on the Park.

Chorus:
Your smile is so precious to me,
Your stare is like your speciality,
Your soul brightens up my day,
I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

Your skin's so smooth as silk,
Your lips taste as pure as milk,
Your beauty is shining right at me,
So, I don't want to be alone,
With that Girl on the Park.

(Repeat chorus)

Conclusion:
I don't want to be alone
I really want her in my zone
I can't control my feelings anymore
With that Girl on the Park...

Love me like you really do
I wanna be right in front of you
I don't want to be alone
With that Girl on the Park...

NATV commentary (2)

Tom: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. We are continuing our journey, through the massive, humid, rainforests of WorldVision. Filled with music, some you like, and some you don't, which you try to swat like a fly.

Emre: ...

Tom: I was just making the show interesting... Anyway, now we have Polkopia, with the song, ''What Love?'' by Anastasia Ulanski.

Polkopia: ''What Love?'' by Anastasia Ulanski

Tom: It's fine. Nothing extraordinary, but still fine.

Emre: I would have liked it more without the 'Da, da, da, da' part.

Tom: Yeah, I agree. If you liked that song, text '4773', or vote on our website, WorldVision Anollasia.com. Next we have Lymantatia with the song, ''Bonjour'' by DANAE.

Emre: I bet it is going to be one of those annoyingly catchy songs.

Tom: I have that feeling, too.

Lymantatia: ''Bonjour'' by DANAE

Tom: No! Just no! Definetly no points from us!

Emre: I told you, it was an annoyingly catchy song!

Tom: Yes, you were right. If you liked this song, because you like annoyingly catchy songs, text '5443', or vote on our website. Next, we have Sagatan with the song, ''Lobo'' by La Vagantoj.

Emre: Lobo? That is a funny name. I like it a little.

Tom: Yup. Me, too.

Sagatan: ''Lobo'' by La Vagantoj

Tom: I liked it.

Emre: I didn't.

Tom: Why not?

Emre: I didn't like the story. I only liked the beginning, with the mandolin, since it's original, and close to our culture.

Tom: The mandolin was pretty good, too. If you liked this song, because of it's story, or, mandolin, text '6194' or vote on our website. Next, we have Deblinian Masovia with the song, ''Modlitwa o Deszcz'' by Zachary Lech. I hope I pronounced that right.

Emre: What a mouthful of words.

Deblinian Masovia: ''Modliwa o Deszcz'' by Zachary Lech

Tom: From what I understood, it's good. I don't think it would be in the top ten, though.

Emre: It's a regular song. Not too special. I'd give it 4 points, currently.

Tom: If you liked that song, text '7777' or vote on our website. Up next, we have Mediterra with the song, ''Drums of Love'' by Sasha Weiner.

Mediterra: ''Drums of love'' by Sasha Weiner

Tom: That was nice. Another regular song.

Emre: It might get 10th place. I liked the lyrics.

Tom: The singing wasn't the best in my opinion. If you liked that song, text '8765' or vote on our website. I'm afraid we have another commercial break. Stay tuned for more action-packed journey in the massive rainforest of WorldVision!

Emre: Seriously?

Tom: What? I'm just having fun!

Deura Náðuxsáls & The Pörtnbilles Orchestra National Orchestra - "Fituère Sannynn"

Language(s): Richiveuminn'ren Tangemaith
Title Transcription: Fituère Sannynn
Title Translation: The Bitter Truth
Rhythm: HERE
Composer: Ëut Végurmil
Lyricist: Deura Náðuxsáls

Eyju Richiveuminn is an isolated land that has been controlled by Chenkorya and Euskirribakondara over the years on a special political society/association. ERTV chose internally their artist and Deura Náðuxsáls, a young but very talented musician was the lucky one. She partnered up with Ëut Végurmil and the Richiveuminn National Orchestra to make this beautiful song called "Fituère Sannynn" which means "the Bitter Truth". It is a great way to introduce ER's long-music tradition to the world. *Crowd cheers*

OOC: Translation between brackets.

The whole stage was dark when the cameras showed images of it. Then a spotlight which became wider and wider turned on, on the Pörtnbilles Orchestra, a very good orchestra from a village called Pörtnbilles. It were 19 people; some people were strings players (the most of them), there were some percussion players, there was a guitar player. The men in the orchestra, were all wearing black suits, the women were all wearing long blue dresses like this. They started playing the music. It was a very long intro, 53 seconds, and it included percussion instruments, as well as strings. The music was very mysterious and the whole crowd was silent.

After 45 seconds, another spotlight turned on on Deura. She was wearing a huge dress like this one. Deura was looking down at the ground, which was covered with smoke made by a smoke machine. After around 5 seconds of looking down at the ground, Deura looked straight ahead. Her long and curly blond hair was looking like a beautiful aureole. After around 3 seconds then, she started singing, with an extremely unique, mysterious and a fairylike voice. She sang with a lot of emotion, and facial expressions, and very clear, without being off note a single time. The whole crowd was silent, enchanted by Deura.
Afrainû â vímuith dæs chutait ý’moi oyreau (Keep on whispering sweet things in my ear)
Mêch cét bêithirr chutait ej ghéith pík môrfeith héynt (But these are the things I do not need to hear)
Mux samè hunnél iâr bêithirr, mêch ètteju’ren seln (Sweet as honey they are, but the aftertaste’s salt)
Í nôtte dá úr, dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Instead of them, tell me the bitter truth)

The strings became more dominant in the background music. Instead of clapping along, like with the other songs, the whole crowd was silent now, attentively looking to the performance. After some seconds of strings playing, Deura continued singing, with her voice sounding even more fairylike as before.
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)

The orchestra stopped abruptly, and after two seconds, when Deura started singing extremely powerful, they continued playing, being just as powerful as Deura's voice. Deura was giving her words more power with strange movements with her arms. Although nobody could understand the language, they could feel the emotion Deura was singing with.
Chàque, fégethir aðilé fétrix muène mom? (What, makes the others better than me?)
Enue, akkû, enue, fégethir mom creithír thél (No one, no, no one, makes me believe it)
Veraur, geituírik bêíthir ganérim mèr creith líma (The pain, can’t be healed by creaking beds)
Ej’th subikaf thu ý’véf-kosí síf ej gerth (I’d submerge you in quicksilver if I could)

The music slowed down again, and Deura closed her eyes. She held the mic stand with one of her hands, with the other hand she made small gestures in the air. Her voice sounded magical. The orchestra was playing along with Deura very beautifully. They saw it as a big opportunity to perform for such a huge audience, they were such a small and unknown orchestra!
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)
Â…. dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Ah…. Tell me the bitter truth)
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)

Âââââââââââ! Yyyyyy! Yyyyâââ! Yyyyâââ! (*Vocal improvisation*)
Aaaaaaaaah! Eeeeeeeh! Eeeeaaah! Eeeaaah! (*Vocal improvisation*)

Chàque, fégethir aðilé fétrix muène mom? (What, makes the others better than me?)
Chàque, bêithír tèresum sema thú liavêur? (What is the reason that you lie?)
Verpemka bêithírik sákodeva…. vaknefrôír mom? (Why isn’t conscience… awaking me)
Æèt komprialeth fituère sannynn? (To understand the bitter truth?)

Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)
Â…. dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Ah… Tell me the bitter truth)
Dinnû mom fituère sannynn (Tell me the bitter truth)

This part is the vocal improvisation (4:38) in Nú Brennur Tú Í Maer, but it will have lyrics in our song:

Moi fédék hælâírrik skraférim â türhaen... (My feet haven’t stepped on the earth)
Dá fyrardonátanlèri pyka... (From the land of forgiveness nor...)
Bretbeifálèri, ej bêithik svoth... (Dreamland, I’m not such/that...)
Bagronur æèt lásar.... (Shallow to let...)
Falyrath; ej bêithik.... (Go; I’m not...)
Samè feinsk samè thu fugsathur... (As dumb as you think)
Ej geitu anglûmiu... (I can’t forget...)
Fituère sannyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyynn! (The bitter truuuuuth!)

Ô.... almínna... (Oh, universe.... )
Aðrè ganith.... ej falyth... (Towards healing... I go)
Ej verrai.... fælnet.... aftô, aftô.... (I must... be born... again, again)
Lasmurathith..... fituèèèèèèèère sannyyyyyynn.... (Tasting.... the bitter truth)
Dá lakin... dá lakin... (Of the end... of the end)

{6:34}

Ej myn.... minfrê..... hædínur.... dá drostvô (I’ll.... climb.... the hills.... of sorrow)
Jag ej myn.... pèrdint dá däkrechátan (And I’ll..... get away from the darkness)
Skombra iâr...... gronaííííírr mom (The shadow they..... gave me)
Skombra sema gênadérim mom...... nábrask dughan (The shadow that made me..... almost die)

{7:03}

When the drums are about to end, she delivers a capella and with various vocal glissandos the following phrase:

Verpemka geitûr thu terdlakur cé jag dinur mom fituère sannynn? (Why can’t you end this and tell me the bitter truth?)

Right next to them, they had Mané Sujyan, Zara Hovhannisyan, Arame Ashkharyan, Gor Siranikyan, groupped up as "Artsakhiani Voices"; and in fact, they were the artists who lost in the Artsakhiani National Final. The stage would be very simple in terms of setting-up-requirements, as everything would be based on what could be shown in the screens.

OOC: To be finished tomorrow, 'cause my time online has ended. Greetings to everyone.. But here's the idea...
Imagine lots of Artsakhiani sceneries (like those seen in these videos, here and here) for the background screens, an orchestra live, and smiling artists. Also, some sand and grass in the stage to emulate the Artsakhiani grasslands.

Samira & Marko - "Kaosa"

Language(s): Euskal, Bantulu, Aranese, Taloan
Title Transcription: Kaosa
Title Translation: Chaos
Rhythm: HERE
Composer: Samira Kareli
Lyricist: Samira Kareli

Samira Kareli was ready to say goodbye to the WorldVision chapter of her life with a very special song she had composed a few months ago. She partnered up with Marko, who was a popular pop star in the most recent Euskirribakondaran music scene. They were here to talk about revolution... about chaos... But they expected their performance to be everything but a chaos.

The stage was ready for their act, as everything used in the Artsakhiani act had been retired. The background screens would start showing colourful (but not 60's colourful) moving fractals like these (here, here and here). And a special platform had been set up in the central stage (green part in the stage design); that also covered the red part. The brown part was at the same level, so that the brown part acted as the 'still' floor... Whilst the platform would be able to spice up the things a little (you'll see how). Strings from the roof would be connected to the performers, as during the performance, the platform would do something like this, but on a lower degree of rotation. The platform's floor can also display several images or patterns.

They were both dressed in special suits designed for their choreographies (a combination between this and this, on grey/white tones). And they would be joined by dancers/singers dressed like this (but without the suit covering their heads to avoid the weird look, and a bit more white). The lights to be used were basically white almost all the time, as everything they looked for was total illumination. An special characteristic of these suits is that because of their material, they can reflect the light projected on them from the floor or the roof.

(OOC: orange for Marko, black for Samira, green for both of them. The translation is between brackets)

The smoke covered everything, and the fractals on the background screens (golden, silver and white) were starting to move as the song started. The white lights began to light up in different spots of the arena, but in a very slow pace. At 0.13, the background screen started to show an image like this, as the smoke began to rise from the floor platform (still can't be seen). The crowd cheered at this point (specially the Euskirribakondaran and Artsakhiani fans). Some seconds later, the lights and the cameras reveal Marko, trapped by many chains.

He yells "aaaaargh" and the basic beat of the song starts. The dancers appear from out of nowhere, and the platform begins to tilt some degrees. They are walking (at an astronaut pace) towards Marko, to liberate him. The smoke is white and thin enough to see all the action and to have the 'foggy' atmosphere. He yells again right before kicking into his first verse, sung in Euskal.
Mundua kutxa (The world is a box)
Gauza askoz beteta, da. (Filled with many things)
Etsiak, beldurrak (Delusions, fears)
Itxaropenak, ea (Hopes, oh)

Damuetako (A never ending)
Ilara, amaigabea (Row of regrets)
Bizitza (The life)
Kaosa da... I-izan (Is a chaos)

The cameras turn to the 'still' part of the stage as a new shout is heard... That's where Samira appears from a cloud of smoke, as if she had just entered the stage, with a very fierce look, walking with impetus. In the third, fourth and next lines she points to parts of the platform, where dancers, with their gestures and some props, evocate a fighter, a judge, an executioner and a victim. In the last part of her second verse, she walks into the platform (which has tilted already some degrees) and despite the inclination, she stands very strong on top of it, pointing at herself.
Borrokalari (There)
Bat beti dago (Is always)
Batek, borrero (A figther, a judge)
Bat eta epaile bat (An executioner)

Bikima ditu (And a victim)
Baina borroka honetan (But in this fight)
Liderra izango (It is me)
Den ni izango naiz (Who will take the lead)

It turns out that Marko's leaning (still with his chains) in a circled thingy which can rotate as well (rotation in the horizontal axis, like a turntable). As this part starts, this circle begins to rotate, and the camera shoots him from the roof, watching how he turns clockwise, singing. Samira is in the other side, still standing strong despite the fact that the platform is tilting again. The background screen is now showing fractals in a more interesting white. Marko sings in Aranese...
Amb les cadenes les person's non voleràm (With the chains, the people won't be able to fly)

And Samira replies in Taloan, pointing at the sky...
Ko'omata o te rangi (To the highest point of the celestial sphere)

Marko continues turning and singing...
Les nostres ales migraràm la traditá (Our wings are meant to change the old things and bring the revolution)

The circle stops turning (but the platform is still tilting) and the bridge (in Bantulu) starts. Samira directs her face towards Marko, and Marko sits and does the same towards her. There are two cameras, shooting from the back of each one, looking at each other. In this part, they both rise on their scales to deliver a very strong vocal performance in the bridge. At the end of it, the tilting stops at around 45°.
Ni bure kwa kuyaba zama ukwenza ("It is useless to try to make the change")
Ungathi ka kusema... (You might say)
Lakini kukowa uongo! (But you would be lying)

The chorus was starting, and the lights changed, now they were grey, and two spotlights were directing all the attention to Samira and Marko. The background screen stopped showing fractals, and now all the 'visual aid' was coming from the platform floor, who looked as if it was destroying itself (like in the RL movie 'Silent Hill'). At the end of each phrase, the platform tilted 8 degrees back to its former position... The strength of the lyrics themselves, made that the phrasing of this part was very 'harsh' in a sense... They were coming strong, like "I'm not scared"; and that was reflected on their singing and their looks. They were now walking towards each other, and Marko was tearing his chains apart as he did so.
Ez tea arabekoak (Do not conform yourself)
Ez duzu aipatzen (Do not lie to yourself)
Kontrolazea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be controlled)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

Ez tea kaleak (Do not shut your voice up)
Ez zaitez itsal (Do not light yourself off)
Botatzea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be kicked out)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

They meet at the center of the platform, and it looks like a discussion now. Marko is telling something to Samira, something she does not like; and she does the same the other way around. The camera work at this point is very focused on their faces and hand expressions. The lights are back to bright white again, and the screens, go back to the fractals. The dancers are behind Samira and back her up (with her gestures and sayings like 'no' or 'yes') in her verse.
Nolanahi ere (You should know)
Ordena guztia (That anyway)
Atzean dagoela (There is an order)
Jakin behar duzu, ea (Behind everything, oh)

Erregerlarik ez (There are no rules)
Dago, errespeturik (There is no respect)
Baina ez terik (But do not let them)
Ez dago azentuak, izutzea (Intimidate you)

Come on Mediterra!

Everything goes dark, and some LED lights light up all around the theatre (like it appears on the background of this image). Then, the platform begins to tilt, but from the other side (at first the right side (where Samira appeared) was higher than the left side (where Marko was); this time, the left side will be higher than the right side); and the stage is on a black&white chess-like pattern; some zones in black, some in white... That explode up at the end of the Bantulu bridge:
Amb les mensonges, tudu se encovrerá (With the lies, everything will be covered/will be covering)
Ko'opaki aotu'uroa (Covering the light of the day)
Et la historia se gará et repetirá (And the history that was written will come true again, it will repeat the same)
Mutunga kore pahikara (Endless cycle)

Ni bure kwa kuyaba zama ukwenza ("It is useless to try to make the change")
Ungathi ka kusema... (You might say)
Lakini kukowa uongo! (But you would be lying)

The light effects change again; and this time, rain-like pyros are falling off the roof, in a blue colour. The background screen again shows a blue sound wave that moves with the music, and the suits of the performers look like a blue-ish white. They are looking at each other singing, covered in the blue light.... This time, their back dancers are falling to the ground as they "lose their balance", whilst they both (Samira & Marko) stand strongly, walking around the stage. Samira began to ascend, thanks to the strings.
Ez tea arabekoak (Do not conform yourself)
Ez duzu aipatzen (Do not lie to yourself)
Kontrolazea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be controlled)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

Ez tea kaleak (Do not shut your voice up)
Ez zaitez itsal (Do not light yourself off)
Botatzea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be kicked out)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

Samira is in a relatively high position, turning around slowly... With a 'flying' camera around her, shooting her face. The rhythm changes totally; and everything is totally dark, except for one light pointing at Samira and for the LED white lights around the theatre that appear again (it looks like a rock-festival-concert, light-wise), who delivers a very meaningful phrase for her, with a very philosophical and serious face... With an explicit meaning behind. The crowd was cheering again. Visually, it was interesting to have Samira's appearance backdropped by lots of white little lights.
Nahiago nuke honetaz kontura zaitezen: dena desberdina izango litzateke askatasunaren prezioa ezagutuko bazenu (Hopefully you'll realize this: everything would be different if you knew the price of freedom)

The strings descended her before she ended her phrase, and then it was time.... The stage was lit up in a very bright white, and the focus would be on an upbeat and very nice choreography (the one in the video OOC: which I find very good) done by Marko & Samira. Some people tried to immitate them in the crowd, and actually everyone was very impressed and amused by this part of the show, which prompted a thunderous applause.

They were totally synchronized until 3.36, when the choreography ended with Samira's shout and open arms; and Marko's fist towards the front. Right before its end, he shouted...
Kaosa! (Chaos!)

Their voices were warmed up enough to give a grasp-y very strong tone to their vocal performance. They started to walk in opposite directions, each one with half of the dancing/singing team with them. They walked with impetu, and their suits were reflecting (in grey) various symbols of change, of peace, of strength. The third phrase appeared (but in English) in the background screen at the same time it was sung.
Em questo ciclo el foror s'efondrerá (In this cycle the emotions/feelings will stop being supressed)
Taihoa ka maunu (It won't be long before they come out)
Vèm et reta sem por al món já qui (Come with no fear and challenge the world now, here)

With a higher pitch and a very interesting vocal ability, Samira continued with the last bridge, answered by her and Marko; their choreography was now based in a fast-paced interaction with their dancers. The platform floor was displaying again that visual effect of "it-is-getting-destroyed;it-is-tearing-apart"... Slowly coming near to each one of the performers (aka, each one of the corners)
Sivumele fatha iiflegi izandla (Let's take the flags on our hands!)
Ungathi ka kusema... (You might say)
Lakini si hama kayo... (But they won't like it)
Anifuate! (Follow me!)

They were totally enjoying themselves, and in fact, Samira ran to the front and hi-fiv'ed with the attendants who were sitting at the front (although at this point of the song, they were not sitting anymore... They were dancing!). Marko would've done the same if it weren't for the winner's podium.
Oooh, oooh, ooh, ooh, KAOSA!

The last chorus were now here, and it was time to "shine". Each one was on each corner singing and dancing, but now waving white flags (à la liberté guidant le peuple). They were looking directly at their respective cameras trying to convey their message in the most explicit and clear way.
Ez tea arabekoak (Do not conform yourself)
Ez duzu aipatzen (Do not lie to yourself)
Kontrolazea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be controlled)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

Ez tea kaleak (Do not shut your voice up)
Ez zaitez itsal (Do not light yourself off)
Botatzea ez dezazun (Do not let yourself be kicked out)
Uts... Kaos honetan (In this chaos)

The floor of the platform looked as if everything were just floating broken pieces of platform; and Samira and Marko began to jump from one piece to the other trying to reach the center of the stage and meet. After some lines, Samira (not the guy like in the RL tune) would say some phrases strongly.
Ez zaitez ulertzea saia (Do not try to understand)
Ningú porrá (No one will be able to do it)
Bakarrik da beharrezkoa (It is just necessary)
Cerca la veritá (Search for the truth)
Jokatzea eta (To act and)
Jakitea nola (Know how to act)

The same technique continued (Samira throwing some lines into the song); and they (Samira, Marko and the dancers/singers) had stopped in determinated pieces of the platform, flag-less. The panoramic shots were now the centerpiece of the visual performance, as they showed different gestures from all the people on-stage.
Hau bizi izan behar (This is the chaos)
Non aurá un ploq (There won't be a rest for us)
Dugun kaosa da (That we must live)
Pará amb estót (Stop with it all)
Eraiki behar (It is the world)
Den mundua da (That we must build)

Samira makes a final thrown-in line (not the guy, like IRL tune)...
Es el moment! (It's the moment)

And as everyone starts to scream (in a very tuned way, by the way), the platform really breaks apart, and the "pieces" where they were standing on turned out to be little lift-poles that ascended to the top. So at the end, we have lots of pieces of platform around, and some of them are lift-poles, already on a determinated height, carrying all of the on-stage performers. A large array of pyros and smoke, in golden, silver and white, come out of everywhere... And they both shout...

Tack Mediterra!!!!! TAAAAAAAACK!
Thank you world!

Then, everything goes dark, to hide the frenetic action of the staff who is retiring the platform in a record time for the next act.

40. Saviera
I Am Going To The Moon, by TsuNaomi

The tune is Set Fire To The Rain, by Adele

Image
one side of her neck is shorter then the other

Image
but no hat

Before the song TsuNaomi says: This is a song about this world

I watch it fade, the fucks
that I would give if I could care less
the worlds dark, and there is no hope
for it to regain its former glory

There are attempts
to make earth a better place
but us, human beings
will always ruin the chance

'Cause theres a side to life that I never knew, never knew
all the things they say they say, they were never true, never true
in the end, we’re destroying ourself, ourself

So I am going to the moon
fuck this world I have nothing left
all theres left are just
hatred and idiots and problems we cant fix, cant fix

Maybe someday
theres a way to end all this
and then peace will prevail
but for now, thats nothing but a distant dream

'Cause theres a side to life that I never knew, never knew
all the things they say they say, they were never true, never true
in the end, we’re destroying ourself, ourself

So I am going to the moon
fuck this world I have nothing left
all theres left are just
hatred and idiots and problems we cant fix, cant fix

I am going to the moon
and trust me, I have no regrets
as I leave and look back
to a world that slowly kills itself, itself

Sometimes I imagine a world
where there is no such thing as right or wrong
where we all can live in harmony
i cant help but hope a world like that exist

I am going to the moon
fuck this world I have nothing left
all theres left are just
hatred and idiots and problems we cant fix, cant fix

I am going to the moon
and trust me, I have no regrets
as I leave and look back
to a world that slowly kills itself, itself

After the song finished TsuNaomi said: Thank you Mediterra and God Bless Saviera!!! and then she ripped off her costume and became a mermaid and jumped into the pool and swam into the sunset

Mediterran Commentary

Postby Mediterra » Sun Jul 29, 2012 10:00 am

Hello, we are your hosts and commentators for tonight. Yup, earlier you saw the opening act, which was the 21st Worldvision winner, Oda from Chenkorya!

Well next to perform is from Lanos. They've sent a political song called Another Hole in the Ground, Part 2. I wonder where Part 1 is? Probably in their album. They're fishing people to buy it. Anyway, the performers are called Blue Void.

LANOS

Okay wow, that was a very dull song. I have nothing to say. Me neither. But if you want to vote for it, simply call 14001. Next is Phoenigetuzstha! I've always loved their entries! It's called Mehr, by Ashgur Damantibal. Mehr means love. Now, for some reason, it seems to be one of the favourites.

PHOENIGETUZSTHA

Well okay, the song's quite catchy, and you can't deny that. But without the catchiness it's not much. Maybe it's the singer? The "send attractive person to get more points" idea is used often, and is sometimes successful. I think I'm in mehr. Where is my phone? I need to dial 14002, and you should too! See? That idea is effective! Next is from the Bloodbath Generation, their original singer was Mackenzie, but she passed away and her friends formed a band, Mackenzie's Friends, to perform her song. I'm not Icelandic. Neither am I. The song is called A Place All My Own.

BLOODBATH GENERATION

And now Mackenzie has her place, all her own. Who was that blonde guy? That's Argush isn't it? Apparently I need a place all my own too. Why? Oh, and the number's 14003. Next is Polkopia! Anastasia Ulanski with What Love? right? Yup, and one of their commentators was the same singer who sang their World Hit Festival 8 entry at our own Festival di Melodi Mediterranika! Wait, she's still here? WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME?! Fariz, remind me to get her autograph. She never left Mediterra… I met Anastasia earlier today, and she should be a pleasant sight to WAIT WHAT IS SHE WEARING?!

POLKOPIA

Let me tell you something ladies and gentlemen - that pool was never supposed to be used. But I'm sure more acts will use it. For me, the song was okay, lyrics were strong. But for some reason I don't really enjoy it. I don't know why. If you enjoy it, call 14004. And next is the Lymantatian entry, Bonjour by Danae! It's in a lot of languages. Don't you just love languages? If spoken in Mediterra, yes.

LYMANTATIA

Well that was fun to listen to. Mostly because it was in a lot of languages. Are you willing to call 14005? Well not me. Okay. Next is from Sagatagan. Lobo is sung by La Vagantoj.

SAGATAGAN

They sent a song about a folktale? It's very creative of them… I enjoyed it. You may pick up your phone and call 14006 if you liked this. Okay, next is Deblinian Masovia, one of the three nations that sent a host bid. Ultimately we won, but if we didn't send one, they would've won. It was nice. If it wasn't for us I would've liked theirs the best. Their song, performed by Zachary Lech is Modlitwa o Deszcz. It means prayer in the rain… does it? Yes it does. Ssssh it's starting.

DEBLINIAN MASOVIA

Maybe some of you will call 14007, but I'm sure others will be excited because the next performance is from- MEDITERRA! GO MEDITERRA!
It's Sasha Whiner with- Drums of Love! I'm sure some of you heard the controversy that was going on with that song, as it is purely in English but performed on Mediterran soil. Well that's what the WHF is for, all our Mediterran language entries go there. The singer, Sasha Whiner won the Bolkata music festival with the song Without You. It became popular, and that's how she was chosen. This song is MUCH MUCH better than Without You. Seriously. Oh, and this is the 8th song. You certainly know that we consider 8 as a lucky number right?

MEDITERRA

Oh, that was AWESOME!!! Instead of changing some of the lyrics they decided to have a Mediterran flag, in a similar manner to the Ukrainian Eurovision entry this year. I loved that. It's famous in Phoenigetuzstha, I hear. The only thing that needs to be added to that is actual drums. No. It's in the orchestra. Anyway you cannot vote for your own country, but if you call 14008 anyway, it won't do anything, but it still has a price. Note that every call you make is worth 1 Metz. You may only vote 20 times.! Next is Redaya! Stone-Hearted by Usak Itibar right? Yes it is, Milana!

REDAYA

That was…um… Simple. Yes, it didn't need all those fancy staging and such. It was effective. It was effective. Well, for us at least. If it was effective for you, you may vote for them at 14009. And next is another polish song from Folkand. It is called Renaissance by Anesimandr, and will be the 10th song that will perform tonight.

FOLKAND

Oh, so only half the song was in Polish? Okay. It was rather strong, don't you think? Anyway, next is Valcluse! Their song is called On My Own, And the singers are Danielle, Aisha, Vivienne, and Isabelle, together they make D.I.V.A! Their melody is pretty upbeat, something to dance to.

VALCLUSE

Milana and Faiz walk back on stage.
And that was TsuNaomi from Saviera!
If you liked it, you can vote for it. You still have time to vote.
In case you forgot all the songs, we will show you a quick recap video of all 40 entries of tonight.

A 10-minute-long recap video was shown.
Alright, now we'll still give you some time to vote. Meanwhile, Faiz has gone to one of the green rooms to do some interviews.

*camera switches to Faiz, while Milana walks to the other green room*
Hey! While we're waiting for you guys to vote, the artists are waiting anxiously in the green rooms. *approaches the Chenkoryan acts*
Okay, so here are
Outside representing Chenkorya tonight, along with Oda who won for Chenkorya at Worldvision 21 in Albertasby. *turns to them* Hello Outside, hello Oda, what do you have there?
Hey! While we're waiting for the voting to start, we're just trying to calm our nerves a little, and Oda brought us some cake.
That's right! My friends baked this for me and Outside.
Ooh, looks good! I like the colours!
Yeah, it is! Wanna try one?
I would, but now it's Milana's turn to interview another participant.

*Camera switches to Milana in the other green room*
