Souraski Arms International has been founded in Liberty-City by Eoihanna Soraski, a Teaching Assistant in English Studies at the University of Concord. Concerned with the high prices of firearms and limited opportunity for poor people, especially those living in developing nations, to purchase firearms, Eiohanna worked with an engineer to develop a series of firearms designed specifically to minimize price and maximize availability to the general public.
After having met with success marketing a range of firearms starting from a simple submachinegun and a rifle, and expanding into a range of products, Souraski Arms International management noticed that there had been a significant gap in the world firearms market, and particularly in the world civilian firearms market - specifically, there was no affordable .50 caliber rifle avaiable to the general public.
Therefore, after some work, the SAI-50 Survival Rifle came to be. This firearm is, simply speaking, the cheapest and most reliable .50 BMG rifle that SAI engineers were capable of conceiving. Its action is a simple bolt-action - the entire rifle is essentiall a gun barrel with a trigger attached. To load the action, the user simply pulls the bolt, and throws in a single .50 caliber round, then moving the bolt forward to chamber.
The bolt itself is a two-lug bolt, moving back and forth on rails built into the firearm’s receiver, and can be removed as a unit for maintenance. This simplified work on the already simple design.
The rifle ships with simple, removable iron sights, and a rail on the top and bottom for mounting optical sights and bipods at the user’s choice. (Due to cost constraints, no bipod or optical sight are included with the SAI-50).
This rifle is the perfect choice for the survivalist on a budget, a megafauna hunter, or the sniper team for your local citizens’ militia. It is capable of reliably engaging every known dangerous mammal - from elephants to the kind of dangerous mammals that work on two legs!

Note: Because of Eoihanna Souraski’s political views, the gun is not available for government purchases. Eoihanna Souraski will not sell this gun for use by military forces or law enforcement groups. The only exceptions are either private militaries, or government programs aimed to arm civilians (like the Civilian Marksmanship Program).
