Prologue:
The year 2026 has begun to dawn on the world of Ausozera. It is a world where superpowers and their powerful alliances battle each day for supremacy or for some, survival, in an increasingly hostile world.
There is a particular continent in Ausozera by the name of Helsen or Hell’s End as some of their inhabitants call it. In Helsen rest two nations, Vanquaria and Empire of Donner Land.
Literally bordering each other they both are at simmering tensions with Vanquaria, an exceptionally aggressive country, laying claim to land that they say belong rightfully to them as well as air space in the area though this may be another land-grab attempt by the Iron Empire. The Vanquarian people, having the belief that theirs is the ultimate race, fanatically support every action taken by their ruthless Autarch no matter the consequences.
Empire of Donner Land is one the defensive, defending their ownership of the land especially their faithful citizens native to the contested area who are at risk of harm from Vanquaria who has a reputation for committing war crimes. Many of the citizens of Empire of Donner Land, especially the Ulianish natives, believe that the mountains are the hereditary right of their people. This has become a heated debate as to if Vanquaria should cede the mountains back to Donner Land since it is possibly the birth place of the Ulianish and even the nation itself.
Pretty soon, with tensions seeming to reach breaking point, all hell will break loose in hell.
The Grand Palace was surely an architectural masterpiece with a dazzling design by Vanquaria’s best minds yet also built to withstand sieges and known forms of attacks. Resting in the middle of the incredibly tiny island called Auraxis it had been home to the line of Autarchs since the legendary First.
Now, its current owner sat comfortably inside a round, dome-like room. Seated on a deluxe, red chair in front of a circular, wooden table ,specially hand-crafted, for him Autarch He grinned. Laid out on the table was a detailed report by his Imperial Secretary of the Iron Empire’s current state. Vanquaria was economically prospering with new gains from the provinces of New Azenyanistan and Revasa.
I shall invest a sizeable amount of these profits into the military of course. It was because of the mighty Vanquarian military that I now have these overseas additions. It’ll serve as their reward.
Putting aside the papers he activated his advanced computer. Almost immediately came a list of highly classified folders of the Vanquarian Regime. This computer would have been hacked countless times for its valuable data if it wasn’t for the multiple Vanquarian agencies protecting it. Accessing an online, government-protected site he headed over to recent government expenditure. His eyes scanned over it for a few seconds then he quietly moaned.
It turned out his son, recently married to the Jaclean Queen, had funded a considerable amount of social welfare departments.
I blame all this international exposure. Dangerous ideas are definitely being opened up to him. It won’t even be surprising to me if he changes into a damn hippie! He certainly needs to be reminded of the harsh reality of this world…
The ageing Autarch continued to check recent activities/notifications until he came upon reports of the situation between his nation and the neighbouring Donner Land. I have been so preoccupied with other events that I have completely forgotten about this. Let’s see… this land dispute seems like an opportunity…
Putting in a highly encrypted E-message to a few select military commanders Autarch He decided that it was time for another Vanquarian ‘’righteous’’ expansion. He also sent message to his son who was currently in Marie Jois for a charity event to return back as a officer of the military.
I’m sure it’ll be a short conflict. Vanquaria’s Ground Forces will maintain their claim as the best
A telegram was sent to the Donner government:
Official Iron Empire Telegram
To: Donner Land Government
We ask that you relinquish control of the rest of the mountains and the surrounding land to Vanquaria. The lands rightfully belong to our nation. We await your reply to our peaceful request.
Major General Steiner was inside his expensive, red limousine on his way back to his mansion located near the snowy city of Mithril. He was having troubled thoughts about his son.
I wonder if he will even survive the Commando Program…maybe it was a bad idea. Actually, no. He will not dishonour my family which has a history of military achievements. If he dies then that is only life
His weary eyes stared outside at the beautiful, ice-capped mountains visible in the far distance. Suddenly his government-protected touch-phone rang. Picking it up he said, ‘Hello?’
Steiner heard a voice which he was used to hearing. It was the Minister of Defence. The man was infamous throughout the government for his ruthless approach to order with his Absolute Justice ideal. The minister replied, ‘Its me, Steiner. And I have a new assignment for you. You are to take your divisions up to the border with Donner Land. There is going to be an end to this land dispte issue with that annoying country which we call ‘neighbour’. Other generals are massing their forces there as well. I want you up there ASAP. Out.’’
Steiner heard the phone call end. Whispering, ‘’Yes sir’’, he told his chauffeur to change course for Mithril Private Airport. It was time for work.
The Prince watched with a smile as the sick children played happily in the newly-built playground inside the hospital.
This should be the future of Vanquaria. A better nation, set on the road to peace
Scott had used the Imperial Family's treasury to pay for the improvements to this Children's Hospital. He knew his father would disapprove but in his defence the Imperial Family's funds were up in the billions. The refurbishments to this hospital only cost a few million!
He remembered his time in the Commando Program, though brief thanks to him being the son of the Autarch, it was still a nightmare. The kids there were more monsters, not knowing happiness. The wars he fought in were also equally as horrible. Scott had only through sheer willpower refused to become a monster as most of the other officers in the bloody Vanquarian Military.
Abruptly his phone vibrated. Turning it on he read the text message on the screen. He was to return the military service as a Colonel and be posted on the Donnish-Vanquarian border....
Ah shit! My damn father! Scott thought angrily.
Teeth clenched Scott knew he had to obey lest he receive harsh punishment from his powerful father. Giving the children one last look he headed for his black Ferrari.
But why the Donnish-Vanquarian border?
