NationStates Idol Signups/Discussion Thread

[Bloodbath Generation]

Welcome to the first season of NationStates Idol! Aspiring singers from all around the world will converge in Bloodbath Generation to compete for the chance at a recording contract and international fame. However, you may ask, how will we do this? Well, you can submit up to 4 singers per nation, with signups capped at 20 (or 30 depending on the popularity) and 1 judge. Then, a special hand-picked committee of nations will pick the 4 final judges. The singers will sing real-life songs, with themed weeks to challenge them a bit and expand their musical horizons. 10 (or 20) singers will get past auditions, but only one can claim the title of NationStates Idol!

Information about the Judge: DANAE was born Danae Leanne DeLamielleure in January 7, 1985 in Vassélly, Bochére (population 2011 is 28,777 and population 1991 is 11452). Her parents are Daniel DeLamielleure (born 1958) and Nicolette Laurent (born 1958), both restaurant employees together. She attended École de Vassélly nord from 1991-1996, Collège de Vassélly from 1996-2000 and Lycée de Vassélly from 2000-2003. Her dream was to be a chef, but when she entered a nightclub in 2003, a music producer found her and signed her to Lymantatia's number one French record company, St. Laurent Records. She got a new dream, being a world-famous singer. In 2006, she released her first no-1 hit, "Napoleon". In October 2008, she appeared on the cover of Lymantatia's number one music monthly magazine, MusiqueBonjour. She's become a world-famous legend ever since. She has been in WV thrice and WHF once.

Information about the Judge: Rockelle's full name is Robyn Nicole Hawk. She grew up singing in her church choir. When she was 15 Revved Up Records president, Milton Davis, signed her onto the label. Her first hit was "Halo" released in 2000, reached number 2 on the R&B Charts. Since then she has had 2 Triple Platinum Albums, 5 Quadruple Gold Albums, and over 20 song to reach #1 on the charts. He best selling single was her remake of Whitney Houston's "I will always love you", which sold 18,000,000 copies worldwide.

She won the BET Best New Artist Award in 2011 and the Baptist Music Awards Song of the Year, Album of the year, and Costume of the year in 2012.

Information about the Judge: Matinik first broke onto the national scene as an actress in the hit 1999 soap opera Jamila de la Slum. Her rendition of the Bloodbathian folk song Lesene Ko then got her a recording contract. Over the years, she's grown into an icon, with critics calling her the "Bloodbathian Madonna". She has previously judged the Bloodbathian version of The Voice.

About a month ago,Natalie Larouche,an internationally famous,popular diva,have recommended her to join the Voice. Lorrine,encouraged,have decided to restart that career.

Short Bio Alain's a Korean Québecois that came from Montréal,the largest city of the nation. He has started singing in his secondary school,where his reputation was legendary and he performed in every school events possible.
After graduation,he started to perform in local venues,where he won lots of positive response. Recommendation of his friend and his desire to step up in music industry has made Alain to go for the Voice of NationStates. He can sing in three different vocal timbres, as well as countless numbers of singing techniques, as well as mixing both Korean-Quebecois traditional music, Rock and Ballad music. He's also married, with two kids(of 2 and 4).

Short bio Colm Morrison's born in Montreal. From the age of 9, he played guitar and started writing and composing songs. By the time when he was 15, His hard efforts(he often played Guitar up to 14 hours) have brought him to the legendary status at Quebecois Rock scene.
When he was 18, he formed Rogue with his best friend, Connor Lane, have formed Rogue, the Quebecois Rock band. For 27 years, he was the leader and main guitarist of the band,released 13 albums and 32 No.1 singles. He's well known and respected in Quebecois music scene due to his mentoring and encouragement to many underground musicians, introducing and mentoring many into the mainstream music industry. Colm's well known for his guitar skills, which is known for expressing different kinds and feelings with a guitar.
He wanted to help more singers with his experience and support, so he signed up for the position.

Because I think your real self has to sing it in The Voice NS or NS X Factor Can't remember which one.

Well, you could add something like "He was a bit pitchy on the final note" or something like that. Just add something so we can tell if they were spot-on or a bit shaky, you know?

This certainly doesn't have a 100% chance of god modding.

I was thinking about doing two shows a month, so auditions and top 20 would start in late December-early January, top 15, 12 and 10 in mid-January to early February approximately, then finally the top 5 and grand final by Valentines Day (or a bit later). So the schedule requires quite a lot of time. I'll give allowance if only a few nations post, but if you're not ready for quite frequent posting, this may not be for you.

Like I said, RP'd performance :) If you're just posting lyrics, or even just lyrics + basic description, I, for one, would not be likely to give you a stellar rating. Like you say, god-modding is gonna be kinda impossible, because you can't fake good RP :)

Information about the Judge: From an early age, Rowan had an intense interest in languages, and could speak in three of them before she was five. This interest has never waned, and she is now fluent in about a dozen languages, and can get by in many others. Her talent of the tongue brought her the post of Translator for the Emissary of Eireann Fae at only ten years old, making her perhaps the youngest regularly participating delegate in the World Assembly, where she remains active to this day. Thanks to her gift, this judge would have no complaints about songs performed in foreign languages¹
Image (if possible): I'll work on it, but she is small for her age, and has a milky white complexion. Her hair is raven black and shoulder-length, often kept straight and unadorned, and her eyes are bright emerald green. She usually wears a simple black dress, with matching tights and dress shoes.

¹ Which means that unlike my scoring criteria for WV, I'll actually bother to translate songs in foreign languages in this contest. If you don't provide a translation, I'll use Google Translator, and ignore grammatical errors and try to discern the simple meaning and mood of the song. That is, so long as the song is in Gaeilge, Latin, Greek, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Japanese, or Esperanto :-)
