2021: A New Decade

Image

OOC|Discord: Coming soon|Map: Coming soon

The 2020s. A decade set to be nightmarish and a turning point in the history of humanity. Climate Change is the existential threat that must urgently be tackled in this decade, and humanity must learn to cope with the constantly growing population that does not look likely to slow down let alone stop growing anytime soon.

In Asia, the Chinese Dragon is emerging as the regional hegemon, pushing regional nations to choose sides between them and the West while internally the regime battles against resistance in Hong Kong and ethnic tension in the far West. In India, the nation is dealing with religious unrest and rapid economic growth and modernization as well as increasing tension along the border with Pakistan, particularly in the Kashmir Region.

In Europe, Euroskepticism is on the rise in many European nations. The successful Brexit referendum led the charge showing Euroskeptics all across the continent that leaving was possible. In Spain regional tensions threaten to explode between Madrid and Barcelona.

In the Middle East, tensions between Israel and Iran are at an all-time high. Adding to this is the emerging regional cold war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. In Yemen, the civil war still burns as a testing ground for this regional cold war.

In Africa, ethnic and religious tensions pose a danger all over the continent. In the Congo, warlords fight over land and resources like coltan offering fortunes on the international market. In the Saraha and Sahel regions, remnants of ISIS and other organizations ravage the land and people. Yet there are lights of hope that still sparkle.

In North America, Canada is dealing with ever-increasing political divides much like the US to the South. Inside the US tensions between Republicans and Democrats have never seemed worse. In Mexico, the Cartels fight hard against the central government in Mexico City their corruption touches most parts of the nation.

In Latin America, the dictator Nicholas Maduro still clings to power even as his position is contested by Juan Guaidó. In Colombia, an unstable peace agreement official holds peace between the government and FARC.

How will the nations of the world tackle these issues? How will their pasts define their future, which nations will come out on top during this decade, and how will future generations remember this critical decade?

In this roleplay, you will take the helm of the nation of your choice. You have the ability to change the history of your nation from 1991 onwards within realism and with a few major event exceptions as well as anything states in the OP or other applications.

Major Unchangeable Events:

Fall of the USSR
Formation of the EU

Presidential Elections - President Voridis Seeks Reelection

Image

2021 is an election year for the office of President. Although most governmental power is held by the Prime Minister, presidential elections are always important as they allow the public to send a clear message; either to the government or the opposition. A victory for the government-backed candidate signifies the resilience of the governing party and gives the Prime Minister a renewed mandate. A victory for the opposition-backed candidate sends a stark warning to the government and usually means that the Prime Minister has to make extensive changes to win back popular support.

President Makis Voridis seeks reelection, hoping to become the first President to win a second term. A standardbearer of the right wing of New Democracy before assuming the office, Voridis had to co-inhabit with the socialist Prime Minister George Papandreou until the Assembly elections of 2019. That cohabitation was anything but smooth as the President more than once criticized Mr. Papandreou, especially his immigration policy, often with particularly combative language. With the sweeping victory of New Democracy in 2019 and the assumption of premiership by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, things have been smoother and Voridis has taken on a more conciliatory tone.

Whether this change is enough to persuade centrists to reelect him remains to be seen. In 2016 he was seen as the candidate who would send a clear message of disapproval to the Papandreou government and as such many centrists held their nose and voted for him. But with New Democracy in power and controlling a majority in the senate and the assembly, centrists don't have that same motivation and may be less willing to vote again for Voridis. The President counts on the popularity of the Mitsotakis' government for his reelection.

PASOK Veteran Vasilis Leventis Potential Presidential Candidate

Image

PASOK still reels from the presidential elections defeat of 2016, the senate elections defeats of 2018 and 2020, and the defeat at the assembly elections of 2019. It has lost the presidency, the assembly and the majority it held in the senate for a long time. It thus now seeks to turn to a safer choice for the 2021 presidential elections. While not yet officially confirmed, it is widely believed that veteran PASOK politician Vasilis Leventis will be PASOK's candidate.

Vasilis Leventis is 70 years old and has served as Minister of Public Administration in the Simitis and Papandreou administrations. A centrist politician, he holds moderate views on both economic and social affairs. This could be a double-edged sword. Critics argue that he would fail to inspire enthusiasm among left-wing voters and dampen turnout. On the other hand, supporters argue that his centrist credentials would make his palpable to centrist and even center-right voters who seek a more conciliatory figure for President and have grown tired of Voridis' 'pugilistic' tenure.

A poll for GPO published at Parapolitika Newspaper has shown that Leventis could draw 46% of the popular vote, behind Voridis' 48%. In key states, the two potential candidates are shown to have near equal support which could make the elections unpredictable despite the popularity of Prime Minister Mitsotakis. Analyst George Autias argues that although Leventis could lose the national popular vote, he could win the electoral college and snatch the presidency if those numbers are confirmed.

Having dealt with increasing domestic opposition and a failed banknote replacement policy early on in his government’s second term, Narendra Modi and the Hindu Nationalist BJP needed a success to be back on track and keep their firm rule of Parliament. Still the fast economic growth of India and the Hindu populist agenda had propelled the BJP to a landslide victory in 2019. This policy would have to be something that would tangibly change the lives of the average Indian, from all classes, in order to succeed and keep his government’s popularity, lest they face an election loss. An ambitious plan was proposed by BJP officials to the Modi government, known simply as Initiative 2021, at this phase. This plan would completely restructure the Indian economic system, from the top down. Previous economic reforms under the BJP administration have attempted a bottom-up approach, such as the GS Tax of 2015 and the 2016 banknote demonetization, both of which were failures, albeit not disastrous failures. Initiative 2021 took a new approach, which began with removing the layers of bureaucracy at the top, and then moving down the ladder into state governments and local governments, the end goal was to make India a country free from red tape and bureaucracy, which would make ease of business much more convenient, in order to have a dragon economy the likes of South Korea, Singapore, and most importantly, China.

While Initiative 2021, however, would be one part of a twofold plan for the BJP government’s grand strategy. The second part of the strategy was geopolitical, to rile up Hindu nationalist rhetoric as much as possible in India, claim the Hindus of Nepal and the Buddhists of Myanmar were being repressed by Chinese puppet regimes, and covertly fund anti-government forces in these countries. Furthermore, the plan was to press the disputes with China, and support China’s rivals in the South China Sea dispute and strengthen the Quad Alliance of Australia, India, Japan, and the USA. The economic reform and the geopolitical rhetoric would combine to make up what would soon be Modi’s strategy for his second term as Prime Minister.

The bill was soon to be presented to the Indian parliament, it would be the largest economic overhaul of India since 1994 when Rajiv Gandhi transitioned India from fabian socialism to a heavily bureaucratic market…

Border Wall On Evros - Harsh Rhetoric On Immigration

Image

Minister of Migration, Constantinos Bogdanos, has announced the replacement of the current border fence on Evros, Thrace – in the border with Turkey – with a 5-meter wall. The construction will be using galvanized square steel tubes and concrete foundations. The cost of the project is estimated at €93m. This comes amidst growing moves by the Greek government to stem the tide of illegal immigration. Evros is where most illegal immigrants who travel by land attempt to cross into Greece.

“Our government promised to put an end to illegal immigration,” Mr. Bogdanos stated, “and that is what we are doing. It is estimated that the wall will reduce illegal border crossings by over ninety percent. It will effectively seal our land borders. I have to emphasize that this wall is not simply a physical barrier; it is also highly symbolic. It sends a clear message to people smugglers and illegal immigrants: you are not welcome here!”

Responding to criticism from PASOK, the minister stated: “the Greek people on multiple elections have rejected PASOK and their failed open border policies. The Greek people want our border to be secured and the flow of illegal immigrants stopped. We shall carry out the will of the people, regardless of what leftists, NGOs and pseudo-journalists are saying. In Greece it is the people that rule, not Mr. Soros.” That last statement is only one among many from the current administration that target the renowned billionaire.

Prime Minister Invites Investors, Promises Further Economic Reforms

Image

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking on an event organized by the Athens Economic Forum, emphasized his government’s commitment on attracting foreign investments and pushing forward with an ambitious reformist agenda.

“Greece already has many advantages that make it lucrative to foreign investors,” the Prime Minister stated. “Low taxes, lax regulations, a stable economic environment and a pro-business administration. We aim to give further incentives though. We will be further digitizing public sector services, removing bureaucratic barriers. We will further cut social security taxes and corporate taxation. We will be providing state funding to start-ups, to create an ecosystem of innovative, dynamic businesses.”

“We are also in the process of updating our digital infrastructure to 5G,” Mr. Mitsotakis said, “and of giving tax benefits to digital corporations that establish their headquarters to Greece. If you want to invest in Greece, now is the best time to do it.”

High on the government agenda for the next six months is to pass a 5% reduction of social security taxes, a 4% reduction of corporate income tax and to increase state funding for start-ups by €261m. Aside from those fiscal initiatives, Mr. Mitsotakis emphasizes a lot the need to speed up the digitization of the public administration and aims to copy Estonia's e-residency program that allows non-Estonians access to Estonian services such as company formation, banking, payment processing, and taxation. The Prime Minister has floated the idea of a "e-residency.gr", and it would not be surprising if such a program was announced in the very near future.

Vasilis Leventis Declares Presidential Bid, Sets Centrist Tone

Image

PASOK veteran politician Vasilis Leventis has confirmed that he will be PASOK’s candidate for the 2021 presidential elections. This came to no surprise, as it was a widely known scenario. Despite some complaining from the left-wing of PASOK, the party has more or less moved behind the candidate.

“I aim to represent the silent majority,” Mr. Leventis stated. “The people who are tired of polarization, division and fiery rhetoric and want stability and normalcy. As President I will seek to bring the country together. We need to reject President Voridis’ right-wing populism and embrace unity and civil politics instead. Only united can we face the challenges of the future.”

Pundits have reacted ambivalently to the centrist tone struck by Mr. Leventis. On the one hand, they note that this rhetoric will not galvanize the left wing or the anti-government vote. On the other hand, Leventis’ appeal to unity and his focus solely on President Voridis, means that he may be able to attract centrist and center-right voters that would normally support New Democracy and approve of the Mitsotakis government but who also seek a more unifying figure for the presidency.

Whether this strategy will work or backfire, according to most election analysts, depends on two factors. The first has to do with how the presidential election will be framed. If President Voridis manages to polarize the election as a referendum on the Mitsotakis government and a battle between left and right, he may prevent leaks to Leventis and win the coveted reelection. Thus Mr. Leventis will seek to depolarize the election and present it as a personality contest rather than an ideological one or a referendum on the Prime Minister.

The second factor that will decide the election will be the KKE candidate. With PASOK fully embracing centrism for this election, the Communists might be able to take away enough left-wing PASOK voters in key battleground states to cost Leventis the election. In order for this to happen, KKE will need a young and appealing candidate rather than an old-school grey-haired communist.

Inauguration Day 2021

January 20th, 2021

Standing in front of the massive crowd as he watched his running mate, John Thune, being sworn in as Vice-President before him. Cruz couldn't help but think back on the road leading up to this moment. Through John and his election, the American people had soundly rejected the progressive wing of the Democratic party and given him not only the White House but Congress. This was the pinnacle of his dreams, soon he would become the most powerful man in the world and be in charge of charting America on a new course. A course that would see, what was in his mind, common sense principles finally being put into practice.

Finally stepping up to the podium as the Chief Justice said his bit, Cruz held back the mix of emotions as he said loudly and proudly "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."

As the last words left his lips Cruz felt a surge of emotion swell inside his chest that burst into thankfulness, excitement, and nervousness as the Chief Justice said loudly "Congratulations Mr. President".

President Cruz sat behind the Resolute Desk looking around his office. The sun had yet to even rise and already Cruz had done his morning routine and gotten to the office well before most of his staff. This morning already he had sent a letter to the State Department directing them to contact several nations regarding his inaugural foreign tour. A hallmark of his candidacy the second time around was placing a high importance on building and maintaining relations with the nations of the world and ensuring that the US remained highly respected as the leader of the free world. To that effect, the President knew that making this trip soon after he was sworn into office was a necessity.

Article 9 Edited?

Yesterday the National Diet of Japan, its legislative body comprised of the upper and lower houses, convened to discuss and lay down possible edits to Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution. For those uninformed readers, Article 9 of the Japanese constitution prohibits the State of Japan from using war in an offensive manner. It basically says that Japan can do no more than defend themselves.

This is not the first time Article 9 has been looked at by the Japanese government in the past year, just last October, the diet of Japan formerly recognized and legitimized the Japanese Self Defense Forces as the legal military apparatus of the Japanese State. While a mostly ceremonial move as the JSDF has already been the de facto military of Japan since it's birth in the 50s, the move most likely made the Government and Prime Minister Abe more bold and willing to look at actual changes to the Article.

The Diet resigned for the day yesterday before coming back today and going to work, most thought this process would last many days, however just 33 minutes ago at 3 pm tokyo time, the Diet released its approved and edited version of Article 9.

(1) Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes.
(2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.

The Original Document

(1) Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes.
(2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, shall be maintained in the form of the Japanese Self Defense Forces. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized in any case that is not purely for the defense of the Japanese people or state.
(3) To properly defend the life and prosperity of the Japanese people and state, pre-emptive measures are authorized in the case of impending hostility from abroad or within.

The Document now in place

Regarding the Northern Territories of Habomai, Shikotan, Kunashiri, and Etorofu.

To: Those whom it may concern

The State of Japan can no longer in good conscience recognize Russian Administration over the Japanese Islands of Habomai, Shikotan, Kunashiri, and Etorofu. These islands being unlawfully occupied by the then Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in contradiction to the Soviet-Japanese Neutrality pact of 1941. This occupation therefore was and still is against international law and therefore should be looked upon as such.

The Japanese state had held the before mentioned islands long before the second world war, they are the sole remaining possessions of Japan that, that were not seized by Japan out of Greed and rightfully removed from Japanese possession, that has not yet been reunified with the mainland.

We call upon the Russian Republic and the nations of the world to act swiftly and justly to properly recognize the claim Japan holds over its own core lands. We call upon the nations of the world to recognize this claim to Japanese national sovereignty. We most of all call upon the Russian Republic to return to the Japanese people and state that which is theirs by right.

To: The United States of America
From: The State of Japan

Japan and her people congratulate President Cruz in achieving the office of President. We to hold the United States as a close and dear ally and would be honored to have him visit our nation.

Republic of Botswana

"The World is my Church, to do Good is my Religion" the famous saying of Sir Seretse Khama echoed in Duma Boko's mind. He had certainly tried his best to adhere to such advice over the past two years of his presidency, and break this stride was something he would rather die than do. Botswana was going places, even despite its size, or perhaps, because of it; botswana was in the best position of any country in the world to rapidly modernize, develop, and enrich itself. The vast deserts of the nation, once considered a burden by his predecessors, were perhaps the key to the nations future. In the immediate short term they served as prime location for solar power, but in the future they had a potential to develop into space ports for southern africa. A little far off, but not too much that it shouldn't be out of the question. Nevertheless Boko had more immediate matters to get to- "Now I would like to welcome our president of Botswana, Duma Boko." The room erupted into applause, although it was quite clear, atleast to Duma, that not everyone there was completely satisfied. He had called the National Assembly together for an important address, presenting the national development plan for the future of botswana, he directed his attention toward the news cameras, where Batswana were watching all over the nation for his words.

"Esteemed representatives, companions, and my fellow Batswana. I have called you here today for the purpose of conveying to you, not only the dream of myself, but that of our government for the way in which botswana will carry itself in the next several years. Perhaps, among the most pressing issues in our nation currently, is the state of both the rural and poorer peoples of our nation, whilst our middle and upper class citizens can afford to install filtered taps, afford better and faster transport and further education for their children, this is something many Batswana are far from attaining; perhaps something they never once in their lives saw themselves possible of attaining. I am here today to tell that that is not the case, and while his party carries on, I believe Sir Khama's dreams were dashed not long after his death for our nation.

"Moving forward, our government is looking at the establishment of over 80 square kilometers of solar panels across the nation, which will afford every citizen in the country not just enough energy for their current needs, but enough energy to satisfy even the most wasteful americans. Not even two years ago we were told that such a dream of energy for everyone was not attainable, but here we are proving that fallacy wrong. This project will cost in total 4 billion dollars, which at first seems like a lot, but we have created a plan of construction which over the next decade will see all 80 kilometers installed, and will see all debt paid off for the project by 2035.

"The next step of our governments plan is the creation of a modern and effective city center for Gaborone, due to highly inefficient land usage, complete lack of public transit, and abysmal services, the city of gaborone has become unlivable for any aside from the Botswana elite. Such a situation is an insult to Khama's dream, and we refuse to let it stand. One of the first key projects in this goal is the creation of a sunken rail network rather than an at level rail line through Gaborone, it is believed the sinking of the rail line through gaborone will cost an approximate 60 Million USD, the single track layout will furthermore be replaced by a four track layout. Finally a system of tunnels will be dug for the creation of a cargo terminal on the opposite side of the passenger terminal. It is believed this will more than quadruple rail capacity for both freight and passenger services in the city moving forward, allowing easier intercity transit in Botswana.

Dark Blue Block - New Passenger Rail Terminal
Orange Block - New Cargo Rail Terminal
Green - High Density City Center
Lime Green - Runway Extensions
Light Blue - New Airport Terminals
Orange - New Cargo Airport Terminal

"Furthermore, the government sees fit to provide affordable housing and commercial space for the cities residents and businesses. As such, aside from the Downtown and Government Districts, the areas in the green circle will be purchased for new dense mixed use development, largely focused around a new government housing scheme. The government will be constructing apartment buildings of high quality and will be giving them to residents, buildings will feature a mix of different ethnicities, wealth, and professions. Occupants will be required to live in the houses for atleast 5 years before they can sell or rent the apartment spaces, developments as far as a kilometer outside of the green circle, will largely be zoned for rental space. It is believed while this will cost the government an initial 100 million US Dollars in the short term, the immediate bonuses of higher employment and spending by this project will pay off the debts incurred in not more than a year.

"In the area of foreign travel, the Sir Seretse Khama airport will be receiving a major overhaul, this will include the modernization and expansion of terminal one, the creation of an additional second terminal, the addition of a second runway, the extension of the first runway, the creation of a cargo and mail center terminal, and the creation of a new modern military base. This will expand the current airport capacity of 800,000 people per year, to about 20 Million per Year. The expansion will cost an estimated 75 Million US Dollars. A measly price to pay for the vast opportunities brought by this expansion. Further developments in this area include the government repurchasing control of Air Botswana from Ethiopian Airlines for a negotiated sum of 100 Million Dollars, far above the current valuation of the airline, but given the new expansion in capacity, and urban development of the Gaborone businesses hub, we believe this is a small price to pay for future botswana success.

"Finally, in the development of Gaborone, the government is now putting up land along the Gaborone Dam for lease in the creation of a new Marina Neighborhood, we believe this is beneficial to expanding the cities success. Furthermore, over the course of the next five years, the water and sewage systems of Gaborone will be remodeled after this new set up, and sidewalks will be added to all roadsides in the city and in the city of Francistown.

"In addition to the Gaborone project, the government is undergoing a green transit project, which will oversee the creation of electric car charging stations across the country and an electric vehicle subsidy, to be covered by a new carbon tax on businesses. Now, this is just the first part of the plan now known as the Pula Vision. However, I have summoned this assembly here today to vote on the resolution to adopt the goals and plans of section 1 of the Pula Vision, and once I step off of this podium I expect this assembly to make the right choice and pass section 1. So with that said, I wish to you all a good day, and a happy new year." The assembly erupted in applause. The president coming to the assembly to promote a piece of legislation was of course quite unorthodox, but, Boko believed, necessary, if the opposition had their way they might criticize the plans high spending cuts, the introduction of a carbon tax, etc. But because Boko introduced it, he had instilled in the public that the plan was good and necessary.

After he had left the podium and took his seat, the applause died down, and the assembly leader, Dumalang Saleshando, took the podium, "with President Boko's speech completed, I would like to formally propose this resolution to the assembly for a vote."

A hand immediately shot up. "Seconded" said the man.

"Very well, all in favor" A myriad of hands raised as the counting began. "...and, all opposed?" A few hands shot up. "Very well, the resolution passes, with that I call this session to rest, good evening."

Presidential Elections - Highlights Of President Voridis' Interview

Image

President Makis Voridis, in an interview to Nikos Chatzinikolaou on ANT1 Channel, reached out to centrists, in a continuation of his more conciliatory rhetoric since the 2019 Assembly elections. "I believe that despite some public clashes with the former Prime Minister [George Papandreou]," Mr. Voridis said, "I've fulfilled my role as President of representing all Greeks regardless of party or ideology. It is quite hypocritical of PASOK politicians to accuse me of being divisive or of being a populist, when they have been attacking me on an almost daily basis and have been spouting lies and disinformation about me. First they attack me and when I hit back, they cry about the need to be civil. It doesn't work like that."

The President insisted that the upcoming presidential elections are a referendum on the Mitsotakis government. "Mr. Leventis attempts to frame this election as a simple personality contest, but make no mistake; they will use a victory in the elections to destabilize the government and claim that the Prime Minister has no mandate to rule. If you support our Prime Minister, then voting for Mr. Leventis is not something you should do."

PASOK candidate Vasilis Leventis has been trying to focus on President Voridis alone rather than the more popular Prime Minister Mitsotakis, but the President's effort to make this a referendum on the Prime Minister could prevent center-right and centrist voters from defecting to Mr. Leventis and could mobilize once more the broad coalition that brought Mr. Mitsotakis and his New Democracy party a landslide victory in 2019. Analysts believe that this is very real possibility and could present a lethal danger to Mr. Leventis' chances of a victory.

Alexis Tsipras Announces Presidential Bid, Attacks Leventis From The Left

Image

Alexis Tsipras, longtime KKE Senator for Attica, has announced that he will be the KKE candidate for the 2021 presidential elections. With PASOK embracing fully centrism, KKE sees a chance to expand its electorate and pick up frustrated left-wing voters. KKE candidates usually win between four and five percent of the popular vote, but experts state that Mr. Tsipras could win as high as seven percent of the vote. While this may be a small percentage, it could have wide effects on the election as Mr. Tsipras' candidacy could attract enough leftist PASOK voters to cost Mr. Leventis the election.

"Both candidates represent the bourgeois," Mr. Tsipras stated as he announced his candidacy. "My candidacy aims to represent working class people that have suffered under the neoliberal policies of New Democracy and PASOK. Both big parties are two sides of the same capitalist coin; they both exploit the working class to enrich their rich buddies. We aim to mobilize the young, the workers, the scientists, the farmers to build a movement that will bring down this establishment."

While the Leventis campaign hasn't made any office statement abut Mr. Tsipras' candidacy, sources from the campaign accuse Mr. Tsipras and KKE of being 'stooges for Voridis' and 'helping the right-wing win again in the elections'. Whether such arguments will be enough to persuade left leaning voters to hold their nose and vote for Mr. Leventis remains to be seen.

Highlights of Vasilis Leventis' Interview

Image

PASOK Presidential candidate Vasilis Leventis gave an interview to MEGA channel yesterday. Mr. Leventis focused on three big themes; national unity, environmentalism and feminism. The last two are seen by analysts as an attempt to make his candidacy more palpable to left-leaning voters without scaring away center-right voters.

"We need unity," Mr. Leventis said. "President Voridis may pretend he is a unifying figure, but we all remember his partisan attacks on Prime Minister Papandreou. Only now that Mr. Mitsotakis is Prime Minister has he suddenly made a u-turn. I pledge to be a unifying figure and work together with Mr. Mitsotakis despite the fact that we come from opposing parties and have disagreements on a number of issues. The President is supposed to represent all Greeks, not to be a partisan figure."

"As President I pledge to take initiatives on environmental and feminist issues," Mr. Leventis promised. "Of course my powers are limited as most functions of government are held by the office of Prime Minister, but in my capacity as President I can direct funding for scholarships for women students who show extraordinary potential and push for greater state funding for businesses that are on the field of renewable resources. We need to stop using coal and to turn to green energy that is friendly to our planet. I will be a tireless advocate of civil rights and speak up about inclusivity and tolerance."

Japanese Revanchivisim Threatens Russia

Recently the Japanese Diet has voted to edit Article 9 of Japan's post-war constitution. In doing so, they now have created a loophole for preemptive military action under the guise of "preemptive defense." Additionally, Japan has once again demanded Russia hand over the southern Kuril Islands. Militarism has corrupted the post-war order of peace and stability of Japan that allowed it to become one of the greatest economic powers in the world.

This should come as no surprise. In recent years, Japanese militarism has grown in popularity and strength. Partially fueled by the economic stagnation of Japan, increasing Chinese hegemony, a decline in the hegemony of the United States, and an increase in Japanese nationalism, Japanese militarism has now reared its head towards Russia and the Kuril Islands. For our readers not knowledgeable in this part of geopolitics, the Kuril Islands and half of Sakhalin Island were given to the Soviet Union at the Yalta Conference as a bonus to get Stalin to declare war on Japan. As the successor state to the Soviet Union, Russia has inherited the Kuril and Sakhalin islands.

The Japanese claim is based on the fact that a peace treaty regarding the Kurils' status as Soviet (and later Russian) territory has never been signed. However, any student of history will know Japan surrendered the Kuril Islands during the 1951 Treaty of San Francisco. While the treaty did not explicitly hand over the islands to Soviet control, the fact that they were under de facto and de jure Soviet control at the time (and where recognized as such) has created the long-standing precedent of the Kuril Islands as territory of the Soviet Union and later the Russian Federation.

It is expected that an official government statement will be published by the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation regarding Japan's claim of the Kuril Islands.

Official Statement From The Foriegn Ministry Of The Russian Federation

The Japanese claim on the Kuril Islands is solely contingent on a deal made between two nations, neither of which exist currently. While the State of Japan and the Russian Federation are the legal successors of the Japanese Empire and the Soviet Union respectively, the Soviet-Japanese Neutrality Pact of 1941 that is being used as justification was nullified by the August 9th, 1945 declaration of war on Japan by the Soviet Union. Furthermore, Japan has given up all title, right, and claims to the Kuril Islands via the 1951 Treaty of San Francisco.

If the Kuril islands were still ethnically Japanese land, a return would make sense. However, the Kuril Islands as well as Sakhalin as majority Russian territories with no desire to join a nation which they only have a shared link via a people group that no longer even inhabits the land in question. The government of the Russian Federation strongly urges Japan to continue to recognize Russian sovereignty and control of the Kuril Islands and urges all nations to disobey the revanchist Japanese claim that violates the post-WW2 peace treaty between Japan and the Allies.

The Kuril Islands ceased to be Japanese land the moment the Soviet Union established authority over them, and have seen remained in the hands of the RSFSR and later the Russian Federation. Ethnically Russian by demographic makeup, the islands do not belong to the Japanese people nor do their inhabitants wish to join Japan. While the Russian government is more than willing to allow Japanese tourists and visitors to visit the islands visa-free and is even willing to allow the descendants of the Japanese population that inhabited the Kurils to return to their lands. However, the government of the Russian Federation will never hand over control of sovereign Russian territory to a foreign power.

Official Statement From President Navalny

"On behalf of the Russian people and the government of the Russian Federation, I would like to congratulate President Ted Cruz on his inauguration as the 46th president of the United States. I believe that future cooperation between the United States and Russia is both necessary and beneficial for the mutual betterment of both parties. On that note, I would like to invite President Cruz to discuss a possible reduction in the nuclear arsenals of the US and Russia as well as the enforcement of a cap on the nuclear weapons capabilities of other nations, and bilateral relations between the US and Russia. It would be my honor to host a state visit of President Cruz and to deepen relations between our two nations."

Prime Minister Modi stood up in his seat in parliament, "This bill will get rid of red tape and useless bureaucracy, some of which takes up to a decade to get through, which will invite foreign investors and encourage domestic businesses and manufacturing to flourish. This is our government’s most ambitious reform yet, and we hope this will result in India becoming the next Asian dragon, a booming economy that will take our country from developing to developed, lift every single Indian out of poverty, and end our status as a third world country. Far too long has the world’s largest democracy remained in the state that we are, this reform will kickstart our economy once and for all!"

His speech was met with thunderous applause from his party and some opposition members as well. The ambitious bill was now at a vote as the speaker called in the vote.

Every member of the NDA, the BJP’s ruling coalition voted for the bill, causing it to pass and become law, this ambitious and consequential plan could boom India's economy if executed correctly, but has the same potential to do as much damage.

The new law was immediately sent to the Ministry of Finance, where the entire apparatus was in frenzy, as finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her staff immediately took to managing this colossal restructuring and reform. Uncertainty arose among the bureaucracy over whether or not civil servants will keep their jobs, who will lose them, and who will gain new jobs. The biggest economic restructuring in Indian history since 1996’s transition from Fabian Socialism to a free market was taking place, and the results remained uncertain.

Modi, however, needed to rile up more support for his government, and in order to do that, he needed to "market" the bill as much as possible. Interview requests were sent out to foreign media, as in order for this bill to succeed, foreign investors and businesses would need to start investing in India under the new system free of troubling bureaucracy. Modi predicted a rush of these investments would kickstart an economic boom unlike any other.

With his focus on the bill, the rest of the BJP leadership would focus on the second part of the plan for more support, riling up the Hindu nationalist rhetoric as much as possible, both within and outside borders, and a heavy anti-China stance on the world stage.

From: Indian Ministry of External Affairs

As two of the most populous countries in the world, as well as two of the world’s largest democracies, we share many common interests. China’s increasingly irredentist stances are troubling, they have recently extended their claim on the Aksai Chin area of Northern India, as well as the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Likewise, their aggressive claims to control the South China sea are troubling for the countries of Southeast Asia including Indonesia. Many small governments in the region, such as those of Nepal, Myanmar, and Laos are heavily influenced by China.

Therefore, in order to discuss strengthening of ties between our two countries and dealing with Chinese aggression, we request a summit. We hope to safeguard the continent of Asia from an aggressive China, and we are certain bilateral talks between our countries will further both of us towards that goal.

Official Rebuke to the Russian Federations Response

The Russian Federation in a recently released statement, has made their position clear regarding the Northern Territories of Japan that they hold unlawfully. The Soviet-Japanese non aggression pact, made null and void by Soviet aggression, firmly places the former Soviet Union in the wrong. As the successor to the Soviet Union the government of Russia must acknowledge the fact that their fraudulent hold over the Northern territories is thanks to a breach of international law and is therefore illegal.

On the Treaty of San Francisco, it is true that the USSR illegally held the Northern Territories at the time of its signing however as the USSR was not a signatory of the treaty, this can be easily disregarded as a talking point of Russian claims.

With the above being stated and clarified, we the State of Japan for the preservation of her peoples rights, demand that the Russian Federation immediately renounce their hold over the Northern territories and leave them.

A flight of four F-35s of the Maritime Defense Forces of Japan flew high and tight above the clouds over Hokkaido. This was a normal patrol route for the Air Defense forces, yet these weren't the Air Defense forces. These jets did not turn back at the most northern point of the island, instead continuing on for another half an hour. They dipped down and flew in view of the four most southern Kuril islands, each island getting its turn at supersonic speeds. They finished with the last island before swinging themselves back to the southeast towards the sea towards the waiting Japanese carrier.

A meeting regarding the Quad Alliance would be most beneficial to Japan and the other members of the alliance.

10 Downing Street, Westminster, London, United Kingdom
Office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

January 20th, 2021

Prime Minister Boris Johnson sat in a high back-rested round-armed antique chair in his study, the lights dimmed and the fireplace crackling just a few feet away from him. Leg crossed, Johnson was indulging in a good read; Politics in Ancient Europa: The Philosophical Study of the Greeks & Romans in Modern Philosophy and Political Sciences a book by one J.P Williams, an American author, one of which Johnson hadn't had the pleasure of reading or hearing of previous. His critical review and dive down the rabbit hole in reading the novel was a testament to Johnson's previous achievement of being a distinguished graduate of mods and greats a course held at England's own Oxford University. It too, was a fine illustration of both the personal character and political makeup of Boris Johnson; doing what was right, sticking to the classics, and remaining privy to a conservative approach based the great societies and cultures, schools of thought previous to the modern, and even the classical world, those of Ancient times. Johnson was a favorite of championing the inevitabilities of the having of a political and social hierarchy and a love for pre-existing institutions and rationale, but also was an avid libertarian and as such promoted the right of the people to be socially distinguishable and unique, to parry off their own individual rights and social freedoms, and to embrace modern methods of civil and social justice and reform. He was in no such greater way describable than as a contemporary conservative, and a realistic social liberal with hardground, thick, Thatcher-like resolve and backing to rationalist ideals.

There was no middle ground to be found in the Palace of Westminster however. The Labour Party had, if anything, doubled-down their resolve for maintaining and attempted to get a foothold in the next general election. The left-wingers were certainly growing in number as part of the resolve to increase governmental oversight into the economy, and freeing the private sector by intervening in the economy directly. The increased focused on maintaining relations with the European Union had continued to be a mainstay of divide in the House of Commons in Westminster. There was certainly something to be said for the tensions emerging in Parliament, however, within the Labour Party there continued to be a fragment of viewpoints on varied process including economic reform and stance. Both the Socialist Campaign Group, as well as the Labour Representation Committee had continued to become keen groupings within the Labour Party and represented the more radical socialist idealists of the party. In contrast, members representing organisations such as Common. Momentum continued to be the sometimes categorized "Militant" group backing certain members of the Labour Party and a gradual push for anti-Conservative narrative cumulating in the narrative for anti-austerity. Momentum had gained a footing in mobilizing the social democratic elements and agenda of the radicals in Labour, and previously had supported Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn prior to his defeat to Johnson in the 2019 U.K General Elections. Still, having said that, Johnson had done his best to unify collectively within the Conservative Party, which held 364 seats in the House of Commons, well over the 324 person majority needed to maintain ownership of the majority and effectively control both the executive and legislative branches, as the U.K operated under a unification of powers in contrast to that of the United States' separation of powers. Labour was of the biggest concern to Johnson when it came to progressive, nationalist U.K forum and continuing to mobilise the U.K's world economic, foreign-relations, and trade policies in a non-European Union controlled landscape.

Johnson looked up from his read and turned his head ever-so slightly to the left to face the doorway to the study. Resting his arm against the right side of the door frame, was Dominic Raab, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Developmental Affairs. "Tweet's gotten to over fifty thousand likes in the period of two hours. You've done well for yourself." He chuckled.

"The emphasis was there. The people need to continue to realize I'm a man of my word, but also that the decision to leave was that their own in a majority, we have to install confidence in the doubters and help them to realize a reformed government, though Conservative, is what will save them from the impending economic instability I foresee happening in Europe. You can only afford to be the small-market economy in a free market dogma so long before you start to see the telltale signs of economic collapse and crisis. Look at what almost happened to Greece. Sure they're doing fine now, but that was due to austerity and the free market reforms. We would've been in an absolute gridlock had we had to of navigated free market reforms with Labour, nonetheless the Liberal Democrats. They're no longer our friends just because we helped them out of the water with Brexit. Let's get some official communications started with the new state department in America as soon as possible Dominic," he finished.

"I couldn't agree more sir, I think the people have a strong leader for the foreseeable future." he smiled. "What you've done for the nation. Of course Labour and their commentary skeptics bash you, but in case you hadn't noticed, every constituent and supporter you have from England to Scotland to Ireland is calling you the next Thatcher."

Johnson held up his hand. "An honor nonetheless but I could never accept a comparison to the Iron Lady herself, God Bless her." He looked down, pausing to clasp his hands as he felt a chill come about him, thinking of being compared to a great British politician such as Margaret Thatcher truly did excite yet humble Johnson. He felt blessed to be able to continue the progression of the U.K towards ever-increasing levels of nationalism and independence from the EU. They were once again players and contemporaries of their own as a self-sufficient nation on the world stage.

"Right, while I'm thinking about it, if you pass by Rishi's office in your travels today at all, tell him I want a word with him. I'd like us to reach out to India again, maybe see if we can't get them to bite at starting to seriously talk about bringing them into the fold with the Commonwealth Free Trade Act."

"Will do, enjoy your book will ya?" Raab said, exiting out of view down the hallway.

A Message from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of her Majesty's United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland

To whom it may concern,

It is my pleasure to extend a friendly greeting once again in place of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland Boris Johnson. We realize communications have been spotty to say the least between our two state departments in recent months since our last attempt to contact you regarding the Commonwealth Free Trade Act.

At present, you may or may not be aware the Commonwealth nations of Canada and Australia have already agreed to, and signed on as part of this new initiative to benefit former Commonwealth nations with barrier-free trade between the United Kingdom and all of her former Commonwealth nations. Secretary-General Scotland of the Commonwealth Secretariat has been working hard to coordinate between the Office of the Prime Minister, myself, and Secretary of State for International Trade Liz Truss in order to work out spottier details of the trade agreement and troubleshooting obstacles.

As previously mentioned, this trade agreement would only benefit the economy of the people of India, as it would exclude foreign nations Great Britain has in other trade sorties to regulate or ultimately control the flow of goods coming in as both imports and exports to and from India to Great Britain and the other member nations of the Act. In a sense it is a preliminary intercontinental free trade agreement allowing the free trading of our international markets, however in no way exclusively and in no way regulating the domestic growth of any of our nations by not controlling the policies and market practices used in each of our domestic markets respectively.

My personal assistant, as well as Secretary of International Trade Truss can be of contact in the meanwhile while you debate your decision and navigate the courses of entering into such an agreement with your respective legislature and cabinet, should you choose to do so.

We will patiently await your reply,

Prime Minister's Office
10 Downing Street

The following day

In the hallways of 10 Downing, Boris Johnson had just come from a few meetings and interactions with some of his constituents, including meetings which had seen the participation of Priti Patel; Secretary of State for the Home Department, Secretary of State for Justice Robert Buckland, and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock. Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove, approached Johnson. Gove was in charge of overseeing the day to day operations of the entire Cabinet, so in most ways he was the chief advisor to the Prime Minister when it came to his oversight of all of the other departments for which he had appointed his Cabinet members.

"Mr. Prime Minister, I spoke earlier with Dominic Raab, he sent over a copy of the latest the Office of the Foreign Secretary had come in from the U.S State Department overnight. He reached out to hand Johnson a copy of the message from the United States.

"This is excellent." Johnson said. "I'll be traveling first thing's first tomorrow the FCDO Headquarters. See to it that both of our schedules are free an allotted time. I know Mr. Rabb has a lot on his plate as of recently. I do not want to take time away from him and I'd prefer we make it so my time is maximized to get out to more areas of need. This is going to be a big year for England." He said.

"Very good Mr. Prime Minister."

The following day

"So essentially we have an opportunity here Boris." Raab said. "I really think Cruz is the ideal President we wanted in office. Donald Trump was a mixed bag, he had varied approval ratings in country here, especially in parts of England and Wales. Momentum was very much anti-Trump, as were many members of that divided Labour we spoke about the other day."

"Mmm, I agree," Johnson said, continuing to listen as he rested his finger between his nose and mouth contemplating and processing what Raab was saying.

"But this State Department will definitely be more ideal and keen to working with us. Especially with us almost a year removed from the EU. The European influences of being separate from the U.S, I personally feel were substantially dragging us down in both Cameron and May's administrations."

"Well seeing as how Cruz piggybacked his second campaign on foreign resolve and increased time and dedication spend on ensuring America is the White Knight you know we both wanted them to be for the past five to eight years, nonetheless the four under Trump, I think this is the best opportunity. The military will be happy, we can increase training and exercises between us and the U.S, as per both ABCANZ and the UKUSA Agreement, and obviously NATO."

"Right, MI6 I definitely want conferring more and deferring to the C.I.A and N.S.A when it comes to joint matters of National Security. With the ISIS or ISIL threats still looming and the reports you and Ben Wallace (U.K Secretary of State for Defence) have been presenting me, it seems we could have an uptick in domestic terrorism at home too, what with the dissolvement from the EU, Irish Nationals are going to be as passionate and fiery as ever, and admittedly I get their wherewithal; after all they want to be the breakaway from a breakaway already in progress. But we have to defer to the vote of the people. Complete Irish sovereignty and nationalization would mean the confounded belief Scotland too should be made sovereign, and we all saw how that referendum went down." Johnson said. "I most certainly want MI6 conferring with all of their agencies more often so we can cross examine and reference notable domestic and international players we might be overlooking respectively."

"Of course. I agree. I was going to suggest we maybe have Priti sit in on a few discussions we have with respective M16 leaders in correspondence, and she could also defer to MI5." said Raab.

Johnson motioned with his hand in a sign of approval. "In that case, I personally approve of everything you've put in. Draft it up, send it. I would prefer to meet with Cruz as early as possible but if he's already spoken to other foreign dignitaries and has appointments booked respectively already it would be unbecoming of us to expect they play favorite to us. After all, like we said, the last administration, though I felt in the last year of their tenure we had a great working relationship, could've had better relations for sure."

The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland and the United States of America have one of the oldest histories of being allies than any two existing sovereign nations on the world stage today.

Prime Minister Johnson had always maintained a level of decorum with the former Secretary of State for your nation, Mike Pompeo. We are very thankful for the support the previous administration under Donald J. Trump catered us, and the immense support we received for pulling out of the European Union.

As you well know, both being founding members of N.A.T.O, both of our nations are passionate and dedicated to domestic and international security, and the preservation of law and order for the free world. We are so excited to know President Ted Cruz champions these efforts, among all else, to keep America as the true protector to social justice and international freedom of all sovereign, democratic nations. I would like to encourage a reenergized audience between our top military brass and engage in discussions for movements and exercises to continue to work on our inter-military operability. STONEGHOST will be highlighted in any event of discussions on the topics of National Security, as such MI6 under the direction of the Prime Minister as well as members within my department and liaisons to other members of our networks domestic and internationally would entertain the notion of continuing efforts and bolstering commitments to ECHELON.

We can speak further also on the key details to the President's visit to the United Kingdom, upon his earliest convenience. We would be delighted to host the office of the 46th President of the United States. In addition, we would love President Cruz to address Parliament at the Palace of Westminster during the duration of his visit, as well as introducing the prospect of of course touring key ceremonial and symbolic landmarks that he may or may not have already seen, meeting with the Royal family upon their convenience.

In addition, the Prime Minister made it known to me within regards to the bilateral relations between our nations, the continued ongoing topic of the Syrian Civil War and unrest in the Western regions of the Middle East including Lebanon as a failed state and ISIS / ISIL continuing to contribute to civil and domestic unrest within Kurd regions of Turkey and Iraq is a pressing factor of chief importance to Mr. Johnson.

I will await your reply with due regard and great optimism, we hope to continue to serve the United States in a bilateral friendship, and see to it that our bond and relations between the two of us has never been stronger, as we continue to move to a free and stable nation unimpeded by the worries and tie-downs of the European Union.

Please give the President my regards in place of the Prime Minister,

A January addition of the left-wing published British newspaper "Morningstar" features anti-Conservative party and American Republican Party rhetoric whilst engaging their neo-Marxist and even divided centre-left readers

The reception to leaked information pertaining to the continuation of the Commonwealth Free Trade Act and the realization of social democrats and both the Centre-left, far-left and radical left members of the Labour Party did not go in favor of the Prime Minister, nor his Cabinet, and certainly not towards the inauguration of President Ted Cruz. Although it was a sigh of relief for many liberal Brits to see a more stable man in the White House than that of their opinions towards the boisterous and very open Donald Trump, who seemed to speak his mind on anything without censorship to himself or his words, many educated and conscientious Brits were well aware Cruz was a Texian born with a right-wing heart of fire, and that he would do everything in his power to promote conservative republican agenda within the states. This, was not well received or went over well with Labour, especially those of Momentum, Socialist Campaign Group, or the Labor Representation Committee. Overall the approval ratings for Johnson among the trade unions slightly fell, which was helped by his continued meetings with them through his cabinet in order to win their favor and ensure there would be bipartisan unilateral leadership and support for the common workings man of all trades in the British Isles.

Despite this, social-dogmatic narration on the part of newspapers such as Morningstar continued to pit Johnson against his respective opposition in Parliament, both that of the extreme neo and uber-Marxist sects under both Socialist Campaign Group and the Labor Representation Committee, as well as those who were more Centre-Left under current Opposition Leader Keir Starmer. These were in response flagged and almost backlashed and slandered by inter-party groups such as Labour First, Labour Future, and Open Labour.

President Ghani Congratulates new US President

Earlier today President Ashraf Ghani congratulated the newly inaugurated United States President Rafael Edward Cruz on becoming the 46th President of the United States. President Ghani stated he hoped for "a productive and cordial relationship between Afghanistan and the United States as we work together to bring peace to my great nation." It is currently unknown what the new American leader's plan is for Afghanistan, but it is assumed that he will continue the previous ruler's policy of drawing down troops and trying to forge peace with the Taliban and defeating the Islamic State's "Khorasan Province" faction in Western Afghanistan.

Government orders troop surge in Khost Province

Kabul gave official orders a few hours ago for the ANA to begin deploying another 10,000 troops to Khost Province as the situation there has grown extremely dire. The regional governor had declared a state of emergency a few days ago as Taliban forces in the region continue to overrun government troops. Upper leadership in the ANA hopes that a surge in manpower will be able to drive down the massive influx of constant insurgent attacks on both military and civilian targets in the area. On the other hand some believe that this is in fact an unnecessary provocation that will only embolden the Taliban to continue their war against the Islamic Republic. It is unclear what impact this will have on the attempted negotiations between President Ashraf Ghani and Taliban Malawi Hibatullah Akhundzada.

Major General Xu Shoudong of the 72nd Group Army walked from his office across to his planning room, followed by his advisors and other commanders. He sat in his seat for a minute before sighing, "I just got off the phone with General He Weidong, from Eastern Theater Command. The Central Military Commission has given us orders to continue our regular sorties in the Japanese ADIZ... but only using Chengdu J-7 fighters unless authorized to do differently."

Several men glanced puzzled before Political Commissioner Major General Wang Wenquan spoke up, "Is this mean to be a deescalation? The Japanese send up F-16s to respond to our incursions, and we are sending up 3rd generation fighters from the 60s!? What is command thinking?"

Shoudong nodded. "Apparently there is some plan higher up to save money and waste Japan's. Currently, we spend about the same amount of money per encounter, roughly $18,000 per hour when we send up two fighters and they send up their usual two fighters as well."

Wenquan sat, thinking. "That is somehow brilliant... it only costs $3,000 per hour with the J-7. So the Japanese will be spending $17961.90 per hour when they send up their usual two F-16s, meaning they spend... $14961.90 per hour more than we will per flight! But this assumes our fighters won't be attacked."

Shoudong nodded again. "Yes, and we are supposed to increase our number of flights now that we will be using these cheaper planes."

Wenquan frowned, pointing to the map, "Range will be limited."

Shoudong waved his hand dismissively. "They have a long enough range to enter the area and loiter there for a while. If we limit the armament from the usual 5 missiles and 120 rounds to 60 rounds and only 2 missiles then that might be able to give the pilots a bit longer air time, if it even be a few more minutes. A bit different than usual, we have two objectives. The number one is to cost the Japanese, put wear on their fleet, and tire their pilots. The second one is to assert our control over the islands. If the Japanese fail to respond, it will represent a shift in policy, effectively representing them giving in and ceding us rights to the islands. Third is to observe their response. It provides important information for future planning."

Wenquan just nodded his head.

A colonel in the room was tasked with creating flight paths for incursions as Shoudong made his next announcement. "We believe Japan sent four stealth fighters over the Kuril Islands yesterday, and the Central Military Commission wants us to make sure it doesn't happen in our region. We have been given control of one of our S-400 systems to deploy to Zhejiang in range of the Diaoyudao Islands. While we expect the Foreign Ministry to release a statement later today, we have been given the go ahead to deploy the system immediately."

Wequan smiled slightly at this, now that the S-400 system as in the region as it was a valuable asset not every commander had. "Excellent." He turned to the colonel. "Colonel Wang, do you have the flight plans ready for us?"

Wang gave a slight bow, handing over a map of incursion routes. "On the map I have 25 planned routes for today since we only sent out 16 in this past month and need to catch up if we are to meet the minimum goal of 6,000 incursions per year. We will need to send around 16 flights every day usually." Pointing to his sketch, "Launching from our base in Wenzhou, today we will send 25 flights at different times of the day on various, spaced out courses, planned so each will have to be individually intercepted. They will fly and loiter near the Diaoyudao for an hour each, although several will go further East initially and will be in the Japanese ADIZ significantly longer. Today we are sending out experienced pilots, however can soon start sending out our newer men, with supervision of course."

Shoudong glanced over the map. "So they will be in the Japanese ADIZ for roughly 30 hours total today, with five of them entering Taiwan's ADIZ? Very good colonel... It is 7 AM, send word for them to be launched immediately."

Wang was soon out the door, but not before replying, "Yes sir!"

Off from the runway flew a Chengdu J-7, its pilot, Major Cao, moving his old aircraft high into the air. It was a highly irregular sight, a major flying the old plane typically used in reserve or by trainees, but as he sat in the cockpit, Cao was ready. He was a veteran of the PLAAF, and had flown these missions before. It was unlike him to question his orders, and he just went with it. He was tasked with flying north of the Diaoyudao Islands into the Japanese ADIZ before looping back around and flying within 12.5 miles of the islands loitering by the islands before he returned home.

Within an hour he was within the Japanese ADIZ, watching his instruments carefully. He was more alert now, ready for the usual Japanese intercept, slightly anxious due to the fact he was flying in an obsolete plane. He sighed, calming his nerves, with a luck, it would be a typical operation. He knew several more J-7s had taken off by now, and with reinforcement on standby today, he even smiled. Time to just relax and wait for the intercept.

Interviewer: "And now joining us here live for a special correspondent interview exclusive to the BBC is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr. Modi thank you for joining us in person (taking the time to zoom/webcam) to speak to both our people, your people and the world, how are you tonight sir?"

Modi: "Thank you, I am doing very well"

I: "That’s really great to here. We are so honored to have you here on the show with us tonight. Please, do take a moment and tell us a little about yourself. We here at the BBC would love for people to get to know leaders around the world on a more personable level. It goes back to the Prime Minister’s recent encouragement of becoming a globalized world and one which our nation can rediscover openly participating in. For all those at home, please give us a little background to who you are, for those who may not be as familiar as your constituents back home."

M: "Sure, I have the immesurable honor to be in the position of Prime Minister of India, but I consider myself simply a servant of the people. Growing up as a poor tea vendor, I have worked my way up Indian society, and as Prime Minister, I want to change the way India is. It is ridiculous that many of our people don't even have toilets, and my term has been focusing on the basics, and it is about time India becomes a developed country. Of course, such a monumental change isn't going to happen overnight, and we need to go step by step, which is why our recent bill aims at stimulating the Indian economy at scales not seen ever before"

I: "I’m glad you brought that up. Speaking on the Indian economy, what has the reception been, both within your own party, and abroad in the nation to the recent bill you just described?"

M: "We have just recently passed the bill into law in parliament, and to be frank, many people were unsure of it. This bill was possibly the most colossal change in India since 1996's reform, and we aim to remove the number one barrier to our country from becoming a dragon economy the likes of Singapore and South Korea, bureacracy. Many people are worried this will cause conomic chaos and panic, but luckily, the Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman is an extremely talented woman who I know for a fact is up for the job and will guide our transition. Due to how recent the bill is, we haven't gotten many reactions from abroad, but we want to make it clear that India is now open for business"

I: "Right, very, very good, I’m sure the world is happy to know that India is open for business on the economic stage, more-so than in previous years. The traditional economy as you said since the late 90s has been rather bureaucratic, to say the least. Now your party, the BJP has highlighted for decades on the platform for “cultural nationalism favoring Indian culture over westernization” what would you say to some of your skeptics, around the world, including some we’ve seen in Indian National Congress, who claim this economic reform jeopardizes your parties promise to remain culturally nationalist by encouraging the onset of western economies and platforms to your nation?"

M: "We are not sacrificing our values by any means. By elevating our own people out of poverty and getting every Indian basic amenities, we will be making our country, and by extension our culture stronger than ever. Complete isolationism is by no means sustainable, and our people recognize this. We, however, are doing our best to liberate our Hindu brethren in Nepal and Buddhist brothers in Myanmar against Chinese influenced regimes."

I: "The disturbing images we've seen out of Nepal and Myanmar have certainly been shocking to the international community, no doubt about that. What would you say to the world while we're on the subject of religion on the topic of your party; the BJP's stance of "positive secularism" and allowing the human being at the center stage to be allowed to see each of their respective religions with equal respect. In comparison the Indian National Congress has long promoted a stance of secularism and "pseudo-secularism" if you will, in order to fully separate church and state, much like in the United States. That can't be said the same for our great country in Britain here, but, nonetheless, while we're on the topic of religion and the state itself, how have you been handling your opposition in parliament in relation to secular talks, and what is the progress and maybe in addition, what has been the opposition to the continued construction of the Ram Temple, at what was formerly prior to 2010 the disputed site?"

M: "Ram Mandir has been the archeologically proven birthplace of Lord Rama. The Islamic invaders tore it down, buried the idols under the mosques they built on top of it, and now get angry when we take our area back? Not to mention they got a site for a new mosque not too far from the site, and many Muslims support this compromise. What is important to me and the billion Hindus in India and around the world is that unde rmy governement, we have restored the holiest site in our religion without causing mass communal violence. As for the question of secularism, making laws that reflect our values as a culture is not the same as promoting one religion.

My main concern now is the brutal mistreatment of Hindus under the atheist communsit Nepali and Burmese regimes."

I: "So what would you say to your skeptics, including those in the Congress Party, claiming you to be a biased, calling you a religious fanatic and nationalist, and claim you plan on excluding other religions in the long-term from sub-standard subsidies of living. Your critics, as we've researched appear to be broad, and the same can be said for your own constituents. What assurances do you give to the Indian people and the Indian nation that your focus is not biased or personally invested in ANY way?

And following up on your second statement, what has the consensus been among your top aides and your own party on what your long-term plan will be to aid or stay impartial to the brutal treatment of Hindus under the Nepali and Burmese governments?"

M: "I am a devout Hindu, I am personally invested in only that I am a child of God and Heaven, I do what helps as many people as possible, and that is my goal and the goal of every Hindu in the world. As for Nepal and Myanmar, we will strenghten our ties with our allies in the Quad Alliance to pressure the governments of these countries to stop their repressive atheism"

I: "It seems like you are more than ready to tackle the problems of your nation's region, and it's great to see such strong leadership and a man so dedicated to his mission to help his people. It is relieving to know the contemporary world has fair, impartial, equal, but also just hands in the the Southeast Asian region. Before we segway to our last set of questions of the interview, I want to take a moment and get your take on the latest rumors and gossip surrounding escalating developments in both the South China Sea Region, as well as the Kuril Islands near the Sea of Okhotsk. There appears to be tensions, although they've been festering for a while, between the Russian Federation, China, and Japan. In addition, it's been well received and confirmed Japan has edited their Article 9 in the Constitution to allow for far greater military mobilization and funding than previously accessible. As a member of both the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue which includes the Japanese, but also a traditional and longtime ally of the Russian Federation, who as of late have been far more keen in being comprisable and optimistic in working with the West than the previous Putin administration, what is India's official response, if any at this time, regarding the rising conflict, and what is your personal take on the matter?"

M: "For the time being, we do not see any reason to interfere with the affairs of these two countries. We see both of these countries as important allies, and as such we will let them deal with their own issues without meddling."

I: "I'm sure the Prime Minister here will take a similar approach. I'm sure you'd be one to agree, the world could do with less conflict, not more of it. Now on to our final segment; the Commonwealth Free Trade Act. Viewers might remember it was already signed on to by Canada and Australia, both members of our former British Commonwealth, now members of the Commonwealth of Nations, earlier this year as part of the resolve of the United Kingdom to establish new free trade deals with contemporary allies and fellow Commonwealth nations, after continuing and still currently working around the obstacles of the adoption of a new U.K-EU trade agreement. Whilst we let those issues be covered by the top of the hour news brief, let's get down to brass tax. Could you explain the Commonwealth Free Trade Act and how it will be reciprocated into your new reforms including how it will coincide with the bill to stimulate the economy you mentioned parliament passing earlier?"

M: "The aim of our bill is to remove layers of buracracy that were completely unecessary. Anyone who has tried to do business in India knows exactly what I'm talking about." He chuckles. "Whenever a foreign company wants to operate in India, they need to file 200 different forms and approvals, and all needed to be seperate, so it could take up to a decade to get all approvals necessary in the most extreme situation. Now, that number has been scaled down to just 32, because all 178 of the civil service approvals have now been consolidated into just a Bureau of Business Affairs approval, which handles everything these civil services formerly did. Ease of business, or rather the lack of, has been the number one hindrance to an Indian dragon economy, and our government has just changed that. Foreign investors and companies will be glad to know that doing business in India is no longer economic suicide. The Free Trade Act proposed by Prime Minister Johnson came at the perfect time, this act will make it even easier for British entities to tap into India's vast talent pool and resources. At the same time, our domestic industries will be expected to do better than ever, and we aim to reduce unemployment to miniscule amounts."

I: "And what can be said for the future of U.K-India relations? Aside from assuming both of your parliaments pass the implementation of India into the included nations as part of the Free Trade Act, what can be said for future British relations with India at the foreign level? And perhaps to fall back on previous questions asked, do you or your government have any plan on potentially searching out British help on matters of national security or assistance in handling international affairs that you previously highlighted are worrisome in your region of the world?"

M: "As a member of the Commonwealth, as well as a shared history, India and the UK will always have a certain degree of fraternity on the world stage. The relationship between the two countries is warming up as the strong anti-Western fervor of decades past dies off, and a new nationalism, Hindu nationalism, is growing in popularity. Having a significant Hindu population in the UK, many of which who moved from India during the colonial era, will always connect our countries. In terms of national security, we seek to carve our own independence in Asia, and to protect the free world of Asia from an increasingly aggressive China."

I: "Well, Mr. Modi, it certainly has been a pleasure to have you here on the show today. We thank you for your time and would like to encourage you to be open to returning in the future to speak to our viewers in the U.K and in the world abroad. Once again, thank you for your time."

M: "Thank you"

Moscow Kremlin, Moscow

A convoy of armored Aurus Senat limousines approached the Kremlin with their police escorts. Their darkened windows and official government plates indicate their importance. The "lowly" traffic of used luxury German and Japanese cars, Ladas from all generations, the no too infrequent appearance of some old relic from Soviet times, and other vehicles were cleared out by BMW police cars to make way for the limousines. No driver dare refuse to move lest they direct the full wrath of the police officers for refusing to move aside for the government limousines.

Pulling into the Kremlin as guards saluted their arrival, and tourists who weren't too busy taking photos caught a glimpse of the convoy of limousines. Stopping at the building that had housed the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union in times past, the limousines dropped off their occupants: high-ranking military and government officials. Generals, admirals, and ministers emerged from their cars and walked into the building to a meeting room deep within it. Meanwhile, the limousines drove a short distance to a designated parking lot for the cars of high-ranking government officials.

Sitting in the conference room were President Alexei Navalny and Prime Minister Leonid Volkov. The officials took their designated seats and settled themselves down. Papers, notepads, folders, binders, and computers were pulled out from briefcases. And shortly thereafter, Colonel General Sergei Surovikin (commander of the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces) began to speak.

"Two days ago, a flight of four F-35s flew near the southern Kuril Islands. They were tracked but not successfully targeted by our ground radars on the islands and were heard by the locals due to the aircraft traveling at supersonic speeds. An attempt to scramble our fighter jets in the region was made, but it was deemed to have been a decision made too late and no interception was made. Attempt to target the aircraft were made by out Tor and Buk surface to air missile systems but were ultimately in vain. It is clear to me that this flight was a probing attempt by the Japanese, and I would say that they were quite successful. It would be in the benefit of Russian interests to strengthen the air defenses in the area with S-400 surface to air missile systems as well as to deploy a squadron of MiG-31 interceptors."

"Thank you General Surovikin." Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov (commander of the Russian Navy) said before explaining his point of view. "As I see it, the recent rewrite of Article 9 of the Japanese constitution and the near ass of F-35s in the Kurils all implies Japan trying to exert its own claims. An increase in air defenses will not suffice. The Admiral Kuznetsov is currently undergoing routine maintenance in Murmansk, and the Admiral Isakov* is in Vladivostok undergoing her own routine maintenance. Furthermore, two Peter the Great class battlecruisers are still in ordinary and can be feasibly restored to operational service. In the interests of our nation, we need to increase our presence on the Kuril Islands not just on air but also on land and sea. I suggest stationing further troops and naval assets in the islands to defend their territorial sovereignty."

"I and surprised my colleagues have not suggested any retaliatory acts. Japan practically violated our territorial sovereignty. Already the Chinese have planned to begin prodding flights over their disputed territories, we should do the same. General Surovikin, I believe we have a large fleet of first-generation MiG-29s which have been displaced from their front line service by MiG-35s. Would it not be possible to use these MiG-29s to perform our own prodding flights?" Asked General Oleg Salyukov, the head of the Russian Army.

"It certainly is possible despite the aircraft's age, the majority of the Japanese aircraft available are basically F-16s and F-15s. The MiG-29 was designed to fight these aircraft toe-to-toe in a heated global war, it should be more than capable of performing prodding flights." Explained General Surovikin as everyone in the room nodded.

"May I add in my thoughts?" Asked Prime Minister Volkov rhetorically. "The Japanese have the most to lose in this dispute. Specifically the ability to visit the Kuril Islands and Russia in general, with an e-visa. In fact, most western nation's citizens only require e-visas to visit Russia save for the EU. Japan can be brought to the negotiating table on our terms if we change our e-visa regime to no longer cover Japan, and instead, make Japanese visitors require a paper visa. It is not a major change, but it will affect Japan severely. alternatively, we can ban Japanese citizens from visiting the Kuril Islands, tough that would impact the local economy greatly."

"Mr. Volkov. An eye for an eye will not work." Warned General Salyukov.

"He is right," Navalny said as he then took control of the conversation. "An eye for an eye retaliation almost always backfires and proves to be disastrous. Instead, we should assert our dominance over the Kurils not merely militarily, but also economically and societally. The Kurils, Kamchatka Peninsula, and Sakhalin are prime tourist destinations. They will also be the first regions of Russia to go carbon negative and to be 100% sustainable, to create a model for Russia and the rest of the world on how to combat climate change. Electric cars, green energy, etc. But I also want a strong military presence to deter foreign aggression. Send the troops and equipment necessary to defend the islands, meanwhile, I will work with Mr. Volkov to turn them into profitable tourist destinations that the whole world will agree are indisputably Russian." Explained Navalny.

"Then it is settled. We are in agreement on our course of action." Volkov addressed the room as nods of consent filled the room.

Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai

"Orders from Moscow!" Shouted a sailor.

"Show them to me!" Demanded Fleet Admiral Sergey Avakyants.

"Here you go, sir." The sailor said as he handed the message from the Kremlin.

"The Isakov? She is still undergoing an engine cleaning and we cannot deploy her because of such." Grumbled Avakyants.

"Sir, the cleaning was completed yesterday by the workers refused to say so because they wanted two days more worth of pay for no work." Explained the sailor as the admiral sighed in disbelief.

"Tell those clowns to get off the ship and to have our sailors man the ship immediately." Ordered Avakyants.

"Yes sir." The sailor replied.

"Good. Good. A promotion may be in order for you, sailor." Smiled Avakyants.

"Thank you, sir!" Replied the sailor.

"Tell the men we sail in two days' time," Avakyanets stated as the sailor nodded in agreement.

"Of course sir." The sailor said as he walked away at a fast pace.

Official Statement From The Foriegn Ministry Of The Russian Federation

Two days ago, a flight of four Japanese F-35s took off from an aircraft carrier and flew over the Kuril Islands in defiance of the Russian territorial claim over the islands. This unwarranted and unnecessary provocation has created unnecessary tension in the North Pacific. In response, Russian military units in the Far Eastern Federal District have been put on increased alert. S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, MiG-31 interceptors, and further military assets are being deployed to the region to counter the increasingly dangerous Japanese aggression that threatens regional peace. Furthermore, talks are being held with China on how to best restore regional stability and peace.

The support of China is greatly appreciated regarding the territorial disputes with Japan. The Russian Federation stands firmly with the people of China against Japanese revanchism and aggression. The offer for drills is greatly appreciated as it would allow both of our nations to better prepare themselves to defend their rightful territories from external aggression.

Official Response to Russian Claims
Japanese Ministry of Defense

Earlier today the Russian government issued unfounded claims that have proven to be detrimental to the peace and stability of the North Pacific. No Japanese planes, F-35s or any other type, crossed the Disputed Boundary between Russia and Japan. Several flights of F-15j fighters from the JSDF stationed in Hokkaido did approach the boundary after Russian aircraft did the same.

The Maritime Self Defense Forces do admit that a carrier was operating to off the coast of Japan two days ago, however it completely denies any and all allegations that its aircraft crossed the disputed boundry. Instead this is all just a hoax though up by the Russian government to give it reason to station more military assets in the Kuril Islands, directly threatening the Japanese Mainland.

Additional MLRS, SAM, ASM, and Infantry/Armored/Mechanized forces are to immediately move to Hokkaido to add to the Northern Army garrison there.

JAPANESE DIET APPROVES MILITARY BUDGET INCREASE
Japan Times

Earlier today, amid increasing tensions over the Kuril Islands and with a increasing probes by Chinese jets into Japanese controlled airways, regular viewers most likely didn’t miss the masses movements of Defense Forces across all of Japan. With troops going toward Hokkaido, the closest mainland island to the disputed northern territories.

What these regular readers and viewers can be forgiven for missing, which most missed anyways, was that today in a emergency meeting of the Japanese Diet, The Japanese Prime minister put forward a suggested budget increase for the JSDF. This increase, from .9% to 1.5% of the gdp May look small, but it is almost 20 billion dollars more in spending.

This also comes with a boost in enlistment for the JSDF, up 189% over last month. Is this a rejuvenation of militarism in Japan not seen since the end of the last world war? Or is it simply Japan taking its place in the world once more and deciding to defend itself in such a cruel world?

Off the Senkaku Islands

The sun was starting to move lower in the sky as the pair of Japanese F-15J fighters sped through the clouds at 10,000 feet. They had been scrambled earlier in the day, at around noon, to intercept a Chinese jet that was loitering in their ADIZ near the disputed Senkaku Islands. Captain Akihiko Hinata was in the lead F-15, his wingman being Lieutenant Daitan Suzuki, one of the few female in the squadron stationed on Okinawa for this exact reason.

"Got the Bogey," Military jargon for an unidentified yet potentially hostile aircrafy, "On radar, closing rapidly," Captain Hinata said as they closed rapidly with the aircraft.

"What the hell is that?" Suzuki said from the second aircraft in the formation, she squinted her eyes at the aircraft, which only added to her confusion. "It's not a J-11 or J-10 captain, I think it might be a J-7," She said as the two aircraft descended to intercept and escort the aircraft out of their ADIZ.

"Fucking chinese, why the hell are they still using those old ass aircraft?" Hinata said.

"Don't know boss, lets just get him out of here," Suzuki said.

As your long time Ally and Partner in keeping the peace and stability of Asia, we the Japanese State and People must call on the United States to officially condemn the recent Russian and Chinese provocations and aggression against Japan and her people. We must also ask that the United States confirm to Japan and her people of its willingness to stand beside us now and in the future, as we both know that these provocations will only continue.

Islamic Republic of Iran
January 20th, 2021
Tehran
House of Leadership

The capital of one of the main branches of Islam was supposed to be an idealistic sparkling wonderland. Chinese infastructure projects were meant to make the streets smell less like shit and more like a 21st century middle eastern country. As much as Iran longed to be as wealthy as Qatar, it lacked the loose morals of such nations, to allow tourists that flaunted their... skin, and the females that lacked the hijab... shudder. Iran was not a nation to humiliate itself by kowtowing to the west, letting them stick their old glory that in the eyes of older Iranians deserved to be burned rather than saluted, let alone stuck on some flag pole in Baghad...

But, that would not occur. Iran would not let that happen. Iran's influence within the middle east, her prestige, had to be restored. That fact was paramount. The real issue was where to start, exactly. Afghanistan. Oh poor, poor Afghanistan. Dancing for Uncle Sam, hoping the puppet's strings wouldn't be cut in an act of rage by the, who was it now, Texas man?
The Supreme Leader chuckled at the thought of the Texan man fiddling with some string and ruining his nails. A firm grip on his shoulder made the Supreme Leader turn towards a woman dressed in the hijab, with a green outline that read god is great in arabic multiple times over.
"Your Eminence."
"President. What do you wish to seek guidance on, my child?"
Just then, several black limousines pulled up to the palace grounds, flanked by Iranian police on motorbikes and several police cars that roamed around for security purposes. Eventually, the several vehicle convoy halted just on the outskirts of the House of Leadership, with multiple members getting out, all wearing military uniforms.
"I'm here to inform you the cabinet has-"
"Arrived? I have eyes you shit fuck infidel!" With that outburst, the President gently took a few steps back as the members scaled the steps of the structure, zig zagging through the long winded hallways and numerous corridors, keeping an eye out for any set of stairs that tickled their fancy.

Soon, the parties gathered in a conference room, with heavy oak doors sounding tightly with boomy echoes. The Supreme Leader personally rose from his seat to shake every one of their hands, every single one of their germ filled, shit encrusted, old man hands...
President Masoumeh Ebtekar was the first to gently nudge the Supreme Leader.
"Your Eminence, what is on the agenda for this meeting?"
"I simply want a status update from all my military branches, we can also blab on about women's rights and drilling oil. I'll start with the President first."
"I would first like to ask your eminence to look for mercy for your enemies. Holding onto anger and political hatred is like holding onto a hot coal. You are the only one that gets burned by it. That's some Buddhist proverb I heard on the telly. I'm referring to Karroubi."
"The former Speaker of Parliament? Bullshit. He can go fuck himself in his house. There's another Buddhist proverb: Fuck you, got mine. He can rot in his semi-decent house arrest. Called me a bitch. The supreme leader, me, a bitch?! What an incredulous thing to say to the most beloved leader."
The President sighed and lowered her head slightly, readjusting her hijab over her hair.
"I understand your eminence."
General of the Army Mohammad Pakpour then cleared his throat and kicked the table, drawing Ali Khameni's attention.
"What is it?"
"Your eminence, As you know the American devils have a new president minister. This Ted Cruz. From what we know about this man, he was a candidate in their last, last election and lost to the orange man with funny hair. What sort of political position should we take with this man? He's the annoying kind of 'republican' that wants to actually bomb the shit out of Iran."
"Like the old whore on the democracy side of America leftyness, Harold Clinton?"
"Yes, I think she was a transgender American democracy candidate."
"Transwhat? That's not kosher."
"We're not Jewish."
"Oh, piss off, I know we're not Jewish. I meant that's not a word. How about we do an about face. Maybe congratulate them."
The President was the first one to raise an objection at this.
"Your Eminence, Why would we congratulate the leader of the greater Satan? That's something we simply don't need to do!"
General Pakopur raised his hand like a student would in school, being picked on by the Supreme Leader.
"Yeah, Pakopur, what is it? Do you have a compromise on this?"
"Your Eminence, I would suggest instead of a more formal telegraph or official statement, how about a low brow method, such as twitter?"
"Great Idea General! Do you have any more suggestions?"
"Maybe we could hold a summit with the leader of Afghanista-"
"Fuck you, your fired. Watch my twitter feed, I just sent it off...now."
A light bird chirp was heard as Pakopur held aloft his phone to read he had been fired...via twitter. Without as much as a second glance, he stood up from his seat and gingerly stormed out of the room, the oak doors shuttering hard behind him.
"Now that he's fired, let's get back to juicy shit, like Iran's foreign policy. President, I'm very much open to suggestions so long as they aren't fucking stupid."
"Well, your eminence, we could stand to really avenge Solemani. I mean, I like firing several missiles into American Iraq as much as the next woman with a missile fetish, but we could do something else. I think we're looking at the wrong boarder. While there is an american puppet government with shit tons of oil. We already have shit tons of oil. To our east, however, is an American puppet government with shit tons of opium. We must secure our supplies of opium. Afghanistan, and her people must be liberated by the loving arms of Iranian soldiers. We must mobilize our forces and slam into their lines, ripping apart the afghan armies and executing her puppet regime."
"Madam President, I would like to offer a suggestion. Instead of a conventional war which might drag us into combat, why not back Taliban fighters. Let them do the fighting for us. We'll just give them the firepower they'll need to wage jihad against the infidels."

Official Statement by President Masoumeh Ebtekar of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Regarding the unfortunate increase in tensions between the Russian Federation and the Empire of Japan, it is regrettable that both sides are unable to fully compromise on a solution, instead tiptoeing to a fate that would result in the nuclear annihilation of the Japanese race.

Whatever the rouge regime in India is doing, we fully and full heartedly condemn such 'aggressive actions' that are bound to be destabilizing for peace within the middle east, especially in regards to the feelings and the political atmosphere of the proud people and traditions of those of Pakistan. The Iranian government fully backs the Pakistani military and her politicians in the upcoming storm.

While the Supreme Leader wishes not for a full storm, he would be fine with a light rain of nuclear warheads in a "limited nuclear exchange." The position of the government of Iran is to fully pursue policies consistent with being willing participants in such a limited nuclear exchange, which include the possible development of nuclear weapons at a future date.

The Supreme Leader extends his warmest greetings via twitter to the Zodiac Killer Tom Cruz and his election as the 46th President of the United States. The people of Iran cannot wait to burn American flags in protest at the next ill-fated foreign policy blunder of the Tom Cruz Administration. The biting, illegal and immoral sanctions that the Greater Satan has wrestled much of the world into going along with is begining to snap, Iran however, will fully comply with the Joint Plan of Action until the geopolitical situation renders such a policy obsolete. Iran is fully committed to conducting jihad in the name of peace, possibly all over India to exterminate the 'rat fuck' Modi from his Hindu nazi hole.

Allahu Ackbar brothers of islam! I am Jafar Asadi, a top ranking member within the Iranian government who has been personally commanded by the Supreme Leader to construct this letter.
Understanding our recent relations have been complicated to put it lightly, the Iranian regime wishes to fully and resolutely back you with weapons, ammunition and a huge cash drop.
And they say Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism, bullshit, we're just giving firearms and military grade weaponry to terrorist "volunteers", not organizations. As far as we know the Taliban is a collection of "religious volunteers." Such activities just so hapen to include suicide bombings and committing jihad on western occupiers. Afghanistan will be liberated, Iran shall see it that the Taliban government is not only restored but recognized as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. That would be the best outcome for Iran's foreign policy.
Speaking of firearms, Iran shall gift you:
35,000 RPK light machine guns
15,000 Saegheh Rocket launchers
5,000 Dehlavie ATGMs
5 million rounds of ammunition
20 Karrar Main Battle Tanks
Keep up the fight against western depravity and imperialism our Taliban brethren, Iran stands in solidarity with your movement and message.

To our dear friends and neighbours in Indonesia. We are reaching out on behalf of Australian investors within the Australian-ASEAN Power Link project. This multinational project is already intended to directly connect the world’s largest solar farm, the world’s largest battery, and the growing energy market of Singapore. The Singaporean company Sun Cable is leading this project, and has presented to us a proposal to expand its scope to include provisions to supply energy to Indonesia via additional cables.

The Commonwealth has already deemed this to be a Major Project of National Importance, and we are interested in supporting its success both through public funding and by helping to broker corporate links between Sun Cable and any Indonesian firms which may be interested in getting involved. Although the project is currently planned to generate a total of 10GW for potential export from Australia, connecting the Indonesian and Australian energy grids raises the prospect of even larger power trading arrangements that would help to boost both Indonesian development and the Australian renewable energy economy.

We have attached relevant documentations and trade studies for your consideration, and eagerly await your response. If this project is of interest to you and your government, might we propose a formal meeting between trade representatives?

Regards,
The Office of the Foreign Minister

The United Kingdom and Australia have experienced a long and fruitful history of cooperation and mutual benefit in the field of research and scientific endeavour. In the 1950s and 60s, Australia partnered with the United Kingdom during the height of its independent space program and the Woomera Testing Range became the second busiest launch facility in the world after Cape Canaveral. As our two nations once again stand shoulder to shoulder and seek closer ties, we wish to rekindle these earlier bonds between our engineers and academics.

We wish to propose an official high-level meeting between representatives of our scientific and space communities in order to discuss potential avenues of co-operation between our two agencies - and potentially in further areas of scientific endeavour. One potential project is collaboration on the long-stalled Skylon project. The Australian government - along with some corporate backing - is interested in investing in and contracting with Reaction Engines Limited through the British Space Agency. By collaborating, British and Australian engineers could bring this novel concept to fruition, and allow our companies to compete on an international level with the likes of ArianeSpace and SpaceX - especially if we take advantage of Australian launch facilities closer to the equator.

We hope that this message finds you well.

Regards,
Head of the Australian Space Agency

Republic of Turkey

Turkey had watched as around its borders, enemies appeared. In Syria, it had backed the Syrian opposition, whose forces had ended up being pushed back steadily by the military of the Assadite regime, with the help of the Iranians. A once-friendly Syria was now a bitter enemy of Turkey, and the only thing deterring the Syrian government from defeating the rebels was the Turkish soldiers in Syria. In Iraq, ISIS had grown, like a tumor, then been defeated after three brutal years of fighting. Among those that had participated in the defeat of ISIS were the Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Forces, whose influence had grown in the country following the end of the Iraqi Civil War, at Iran's advantage. And why were Turkish-Iranian relations strained in the first place? Israel and the United States. Turkey's alliances with both countries and its staunch pro-American stance clearly cast it as a rival for influence in the Middle East to Tehran. Then there was China. Relations between Turkey and China had strained over the oppression of the Uyghurs in northwestern China by Beijing, something Ankara was fervently against. Even worse, Turkey had opposed China's ever-improving relationship with its rival Iran, as well as its increasing influence in Iraq alongside Iran. Now, Turkey will have to turn to the West and gather its allies, the US and Israel, as well as NATO as a whole, to oppose the enemies at its borders, as well find other like-minded nations. At home, the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues to root out any opposition to his rule, ever paranoid since the failed 2016 coup attempt against him. How will internal Turkish politics change? Only time will tell...

The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, sat in his office. Work, as usual, preoccupied him. He looked up as in came his advisors. "Sir, the new US president was inaugurated today," said one advisor. Erdogan nodded. He had heard the news. "This is our chance to improve our relationship with the Americans," he said. "Yes, sir," responded another advisor. "We will need their support, if we are to form a united front against the Iranians and Chinese in the Middle East. First and foremost, we need to deal with the Syrian regime to our south. We, like the Israelis, do not need the Iranians getting a foothold there." "But how will we get their attention, sir?" asked the first advisor. Another advisor spoke up. "We can, first and foremost, congratulate Cruz on his victory. Then we can invite him to a meeting here in Ankara, citing the rising threat of Iran and China." Erdogan nodded again. "Yes. That is good. I also want to foster closer relations with the French and British, and form alliances with the Gulf states. Then, to deal with China, we can see if we manage to form alliances with Japan and India." He begins writing on his computer.

Dear Mr. President,

the Republic of Turkey places a high degree of importance on its relationship with the United States of America. In recent years, enemies have appeared around our borders, and now we have the rising threat of the Islamic Republic of Iran and People's Republic of China, to both of us adversaries. Thus, we would like to invite you to a summit in Ankara at a time of your choosing to discuss increased cooperation between our countries and better bilateral relations.
