Orbiting the star Trappist-1, home to seven sisters packed tightly in their star's embrace, is a world in perpetual twilight, one side locked in eternal day, the other eternal night. Known to its inhabitants as Twilight, this world was ripe for the taking and soon after humanity discovered how to navigate the stars and surpass the speed of light we took Twilight for our own, disparate groups of incalculable ambitions and persuasions making the planet their own, living on the planet's temperate zones, between the cold nightlands and the parched and stark dayside.
Although this project began as a way to slowly empty the Earth of its poor, wretched and undesired Twilight soon came to the attention of AIM Anderson, a Multi-Stellar Company which holds a monopoly on the supply of Tylium, the fuel that runs Humanity's star drives that allows it to travel the Galaxy. Although ruthless, they are the gatekeepers of Humanity's journey beyond the Solar System. Incidentally Twilight was home to massive reserves of Tylium, the most easily reached deposits of which were located on the temperate zone. Competing with Colonists over settling and mining rights, AIM Anderson hired mercenaries and outlaws to harass the frontierspeople into submission.
Facing them were the Sheriffs, a united band of law enforcement officials across the planet, united only by their desire to protect what was rightfully theirs to begin with. They fight for Twilight's freedom and for the safety of its settlers.
To make matters more complicated humanity soon encounters a cache of Alien technology hidden on Twilight, drawing the attention of the United Nations Colonial Administration, who soon sent their agents, the Special Task Group, trusted with the solemn duty of protecting the cache from both settlers and mercenaries.
In this three way shooting war only the strongest, the bravest and the most accurate could survive.
To win is another matter entirely.
