Greetings fellow Nationstates members! As a fan of this great anime series, I've decided to start a Dragon Ball RP. However, we won't be RPing as characters from the actual series. This RP will take place in Age 978, 200 years after the events of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. All canon characters are deceased and will, for the most part, not be involved in the story. I may find it necessary to use the Kais or RP as deceased characters in Otherworld if the story goes there. Any who, you'll be submitting an app for one of two things: A single character, who's family you can RP as, or a Saga, which is explained in the below spoiler. The story of the RP will mostly be directed by its participants so this should be exciting. You are free to make an individual character and be the OP of a Saga if you wish. Please read the following spoilers before submitting an app.

Individual characters will be involved in the majority of the story as members of the new group of Z fighters. I will only allow two individuals to RP as Human-Saiyan Hybrids and they must be the descendant of either Goku or Vegeta. Everyone else must either RP as a human or other species. Human is preferred but another species will be acceptable as long as you give them a background that legitimizes there reason for being on Earth and joining with the Z fighters to protect Earth. Your character can be related to another character as long as you get that players permission to join their family. That could, however, prove difficult since I'm requiring players to list family members in their applications, but we'll see how that works. As I said, only two players are allowed to RP as a Human-Saiyan hybrid family and no other saiyans can be involved in the RP. The first two to submit Human-Saiyan Hybrid apps will be our only two unless one is unable to get accepted. Also, you are allowed to create your own species but that will require a species description. Just to note, if you're not RPing an Earth native species then you should probably not have a family present on Earth. You'd need a good reason to just have some alien family move to Earth. If you have further questions about this then ask me.

You can only have one character (+ close relatives) in the RP.

Sagas are the framework of Dragon Ball Z. They represent time periods which include specific events and villains that the main heroes face. In this RP, you guys are allowed to create Sagas. Even if you already have an individual character, you are still allowed to create a Saga. Like if we did a Kingdom Hearts RP, individual players will basically become the OP once we reach their world; orchestrating events, RPing significant characters, and directing the story. By submitting a Saga app, you are committing to being active once we reach your saga. Being an inactive OP is a great way to kill an RP. Also, don't make your saga last forever and ever. We don't want people to get bored there and we want to get to other peoples' sagas. You will be free to RP as your character during your Saga but you will also be required to RP as the main villain, his/her minions (if there are any), and other significant characters. Backstory: Born in a poor family, Marcus Douglas was the eldest of the 3 siblings, who children to a drunkard farther and caring mother. They didn't go to school, instead, their mother taught them basic math, English and other subjects while her husband would slowly take his life away through a bottle. If not studying, Marcus and his siblings would usually play outside, with Marcus usually being the strongest of the 3, while Mary was the smartest and Michael was the fastest. Marcus would usually work a variety of 1 time jobs or odd jobs, like delivering the newspaper or taking crates of trucks when he 14, which made his body tough. One day, he found a gym, and saw how others worked hard to get fit and strong, which made Marcus determined to change his and their family's life better. Unfortunately, his father killed his mother in a drunken rage, which in turn made Marcus angry. Marcus grabbed his father by the throat, and slowly choked him, but not before unleashing a variety of moves, ending with his signature move the "Battering Ram". He headbutted his father, making a small crack in his head but killed his father instantly. The event made Marcus a very determined and serious person, yet also humble and caring. He told his siblings of what happened, which made his siblings scared of him and soon, they alienated him. He understood everything they were feeling, and told them to wait for a few years to learn to fight.

1 year later, he became a renowned street fighter, winning almost all his matches within a few seconds. He caught the attention of a shadowy figure, who told him he was part of the Red Ribbon army, and they were offering good money and a solid life. Marcus accepted, and soon, started training with personal trainers to strengthen himself. He became a monster in fighting, almost always defeating his opponents within a few seconds because of his own strength and mastery of fighting styles, most dominantly wrestling and boxing. He was viewed as a candidate for a more rigorous training, which eventually he did become one. The training drastically enhanced his strength and speed, at the cost of almost dying of exhaustion, but he fought through it and soon, was one of the youngest but deadliest fighters of army.

Backstory: Created by a few remnants of the Red Ribbon Army who decided to start back up after Goku's death using (Mostly)Vegeta and Gohan's DNA they'd had a surplus of when they were creating cell, they created an Android that they planned to use to take over the world. However, their leader and prime inventor Tesla died when testing a new chemical agent which melted his lab, they transported their goods to a new location and under the command of their new leader and split off from Dr. Gero, General Burgundy prevented the use of the robot as he insisted there was a better way to take over the world, using the dragon balls once again. They traveled the world gathering the Dragon Balls but soon found that Goku's children and Grand children were more than capable of stopping them from gathering the dragon balls, so once again they disbanded and gave up on their cause. For decades Tesla sat in waiting for someone to open his stasis chamber and let him out and in this time he began to lose memory of some of his moves and his power level plummeted from one comparable to Majin Buu to only 45,000. With this relatively low power level he is only capable of some moves. He has a personality that resembles Vegeta but his DNA from Gohan contradicts it to a degree. Due to his allegiance to a now destroyed splinter faction of Red Ribbon Army, it is likely that he will join the original group.

Backstory:
Kaito Yamata is the great great great grandson of Krillin and Android #18 and the current owner and resident of the Kame House. Kaito was once a world renowned martial artist and trainer, but has since retired and is referred to by all as Master Yamata. Earth has not faced many serious threats within the last 100 years, but Kaito has become insistent on forming a group to combat serious threats. Stories of Goku and the Z fighters have been passed down through his family, inspiring Kaito to reform the forgotten group.

Seeking worthy candidates, Kaito took notice of a young man by the name of Koban. Koban was the son of one of Kaito's former students, Goken. Master Yamata paid Goken's family a visit and insisted that he be allowed to train Koban, who was only 8 at the time (Age 957). Goken and Master Yamata were eventually able to get Tyria's permission. Master Yamata trained with Koban for the next 12 years (till Age 969), and by then Koban had surpassed Master Yamata in skill and strength.

The second person to be recruited by Master Yamata was an unlikely creature by the name of Talak. Talak had escaped destruction and was operating on his own across the planet. The government continued to hunt him down, but Yamata saw good in him. Master Yamata persuaded the government to pardon Talak and leave him alone (Age 969). In exchange, Master Yamata would look after him and encourage him to join the Z fighters. Although Master Yamata gave Talak the freedom to come and go as he pleased, he offered Talak a place to stay and food to eat whenever he needed it.

In Age 970, Master Yamata, Koban, and Talak became the founding members of the new Z fighters.

Character Name: Tokki Briefs (First name is a pun off "sutokkingu," which is Japanese for stockings.

Backstory: Tokki is a descendant of Vegeta and Bulma, and the daughter of Kutsushita, the current CEO of Capsule Corporation. Tokki's mother was killed years ago by an evil force, and Kutsushita never forgave himself for not being able to save her. Kutsushita then chose to train his daughter so that, unlike her mother, she would be able to defend herself from serious threats. Tokki's saiyan blood quickly became apparent and she grew strong fairly quickly. However, Kutsushita's mother died two years ago, forcing him to become the new CEO of Capsule Corporation. He now had a lot less time to spend training his daughter, but was proud of how strong she was and was no longer as fearful for her safety.

Not long ago, Tokki was adventuring outside North City and stumbled upon a young boy named Roshi. She befriended Roshi and brought him home to meet her father, who by default labeled him as an enemy upon seeing him with Tokki. Currently, Tokki visits Roshi frequently and invites him to eat dinner with them often.

Master Yamata, after founding the new Z fighters, requested that Kutsushita join. Stories of the Z fighters had been passed down through Kutsushita's family as well, and although he was very busy now, he was willing to provide the new group of Z fighters with help however he could. Tokki requested that her and her friend Roshi be allowed to fight with the Z fighters. Although hesitant at first, Kutsushita allowed it as long as she always got his permission before going on a particular mission. Master Yamata offered Roshi food and shelter at Kami house whenever he needed it.

Backstory: Katatsu (pun off of "Katatsumuri," which is Japanese for snail) is the current guardian of Earth and the son of Dende. Dende lived a very long time, but recognizing that he would soon pass away, Dende produced an offspring that would take his place as guardian of Earth. Dende was able to raise his offspring for several years and then died. Katatsu has been the guardian of Earth since he was 8 years old. Having heard stories about the Z fighters from his father, Katatsu befriended Master Yamata, the founder of the new group.

2 years ago, Katatsu took notice of a powerful Majin living on Earth. The Majin, known as Quasimodo, was uniquely born in his skinny pure form. Eventually becoming an ultimate good majin, Quasimodo was one of the strongest majins on the planet. Katatsu befriended this Majin and encouraged him to live on the look out and become his aide.

Backstory:
An extremely talented human martial artist. Having been exposed to large amount of dark magic pressure at an early age, his body's energy system adapted to compensate. Thus he is able to handle vast amounts of Ki pressure and is quick at gathering Ki. One of two brothers whom have mastered the art of Kyokushin karate and Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu largely through self learning.

Special abilities include:

The ability to phase in and out of reality (Chōetsu Shifuto) - Requires concentrated focus

The ability to phase through time (Chōetsu Jikan) - Requires concentrated focus

He also has the passive ability to adjust to any opponent such that he comes out victorious due to his body's increased adaptability(Pawāmatchingu). In other words the longer he fights a stronger opponent, the stronger he becomes in order to match him. This ability has no upper limit, however it takes roughly 20-30 seconds of fighting before it activates and is not instantaneous. He gains 10% of the opponent's fighting power every minute he fights.

Backstory: Talak was designed as WMD. To be thrown at a target set on one mission only: Destroy. Of course there were incident where he refused and began to cause more damage than he was worth and he was intended to be destroyed. He found out about this and was less than pleased. Talak escaped to begin a new life doing whatever it was he chose. This lead him to become a sort of guardian angel for some and a demon for others. He didn't care what they thought of him, he believed he was doing the right thing, and that was all that mattered to him.

Backstory: Qas was a descendent of Good Buu and Miss Buu, like all of the Majin Race on Earth. As a child, he took the Mighty Majin career and sorta rolled with it, becoming a very adept fighter. However, his physical form was not like other Majin - where others were pudgy, he was born in his Pure Majin form (or at least looked like it - he had none of the powers nor evil), and upon aging into an Ultimate Majin, Quas developed into the physical appearance of Super Buu.

Backstory: Abraka is the younger brother of the Demon King Dabura, born around 10,000 years later than him. He was actually born quite weak when compared to his brother, but what he did have was more hair. Also, unlike his brother and 99 percent of the Demon race, Abraka was nice and good, not evil and barbaric. After their father, Demon King Shuldu, died after choking on a chicken bone (yes, you heard it right), it was time to select a new Makaioshin - leader of the Demons and Makaios, and basically the evil counterpart of the Kaioshin. Unsurprisingly, Dabura was unanimously voted as the new one, leaving Abraka in the dust, again.
But, soon after the ceremony, the evil wizard Babidi, seeing Dabura's power, took control of him as a Majin, and made him his right hand man and the strongest soldier. Even though the Demon Realm was without a ruler, a new one was not chosen, because Dabura was still alive. Only after his death against Majin Buu a new Makaioshin had to be elected. Even though some wanted Beelzebub, he was still a child, and his more mature and powerful uncle Abraka became the new King and Makaioshin.
After the ceremony, he started changing the Demon Realm more to his image. Changing it's reputation from a grim, dark place to something nicer.

Backstory: Roshi was born of a affair between a descendant of Goku and Vegeta. After revealing that he would not care for her child, which he dismissed as worthless, Roshi's mom, a Brief, left for planet Namek. Years after arriving on Namek, it became clear that Roshi had inherited a hidden potential similar to Gohan. The boy was probe to fits of rage where he would destroy entire islands if not subdued. When it became clear he could not stop these fits, Cargo, the only warrior Namek on the planet, began training the boy. hurt training continued non stop until the boy turned fifteen. After all these years if training, Roshi had developed a very Namekian style of fighting and a very calm attitude. With a dream in mind, they allowed the boy to make a journey to earth when he came of age, and after arriving on earth, lives in a small hut outside North City.

Backstory: After the fall of King Cold, Cooler, and Frieza at the hands of Goku and the Z Fighters, Stova's grandparents and other non-canon members of Frieza's Race all hid in unknown planets under the rule of the Planet Trade Organization. However, when word finally got out that last remnants of the previous ruling family were finally gone, all the members of Frieza's Race dispersed. Stova's parents jumped from planet to planet, temporarily surviving revolution after revolution, until finally they died when they crash landed on New Namek. The Namekians took in the young Stova, who was only an infant at the time.

The Namekians raised Stova to be compassionate and kindhearted unlike his ancestors. However, Stova was known for his incredible temper and passion for being the best, characteristics that seem innate in all members of Frieza's Race. Stova has recently surpassed all the other fighters on New Namek and has been sent off, at his request, to a planet where he can unlock his true potential. As such Grand Elder Moori sent him to Earth, while also finally telling him the stories of Frieza and Cooler.

Stova has dedicated himself to bringing honor back to his race while also determined to succeed anyone else.

Back story: "Every man knows he can't live forever. Well this 'Thing' can. Dallas, AKA 'Your worst Nightmare', Made a deal with a demon to keep his family. Well that demon held it's promise, but in return Dallas got killed by that demon he made a deal with. He was damned for it, and became in-human. He lost everything, his girlfriend, his mom and dad, his brother, all of them thinks he is dead. Backstory: Edgar Gero is a descendant of the Dr. Gero in the Dragon Ball series. Apparently Gero had intimate relationships off screen and produced offspring. Edgar's father had been communicating with Dr. Gero from Earth to Hell with the help of Wizard Saiko and the two of them have basically reconstructed the Red Ribbon Army with resources from Dr. Gero's hidden undestroyed bases throughout the planet. Upon his father's death, Dr. Edgar Gero continued his father's work by finishing up Androids that his father started constructing. The new Z fighters came onto the Red Ribbon Army's radar when the Wizard Saiko was killed by them. With no way of communicating with Dr. Gero anymore, Edgar was now on his own as the ruler of the Red Ribbon Army. Along with world domination, Dr. Edgar now seeks to defeat the Z fighters.

Frieza-seijin Biology - As a clone of a Frieza-seijin, Arcos gains their biological abilities. He can breathe in space, he practically has no organs, he can survive being cut in half or more.
Hypernova: An upgraded version of Frieza's ultimate attack - a giant red energy ball created on the right index finger. Usually used as a last resort, as it can easily destroy a planet outright.
Backstory: Arcos was created as the last effort of bringing back Frieza by his scientists after his death in the hands of Future Trunks on Earth, along with his father. Picking up whatever genetic material they had left, they managed to clone the galactic tyrant, as well as making him even more powerful. However, it was not Frieza. Something entirely different, A new personality, a new consciousness, a new memory, everything. But he still had Frieza's ruthlessness, and finding out he was a lab creation, he obviously went mad, then destroyed his creators, picked up whatever of the original empire was left and started rebuilding it. Becoming a new emperor of most of the universe. And he's heading for Earth soon, to avenge his "father"...

Backstory (include the villain's goal): Babidi wasn't the only Bibidi clone. In fact Bibidi created hundreds of clones, who each created hundreds of clones themselves. However each time a new clone was made a portion of the other's power diminished. After Babidi died the remaining clones of clones realized that by killing each other they could amass more power for themselves. Soon an intergalactic race by each clone to kill the other clone began, and one by one they died. After 200 years, all but 1 clone of a clone remains, Bidiba. With an unnatural desire to control the universe and the magical abilities that far surpass Bibidi or Babidi, Bidiba traveled to Earth to defeat the presumed stronghold of the universe. Bidiba, perhaps a bit to confident in his abilities, came to defeat the new Z-fighters before they could defeat him.

He also has the passive ability to adjust to any opponent such that he comes out victorious due to his body's increased adaptability(Pawāmatchingu). In other words the longer he fights a stronger opponent, the stronger he becomes in order to match him. This ability has no upper limit, however it takes roughly 20-30 seconds of fighting before it activates and is not instantaneous. He gains 10% of the opponent's fighting power every minute he fights.

Backstory:

Kaito Yamata is the great great great grandson of Krillin and Android #18 and the current owner and resident of the Kame House. Kaito was once a world renowned martial artist and trainer, but has since retired and is referred to by all as Master Yamata. Earth has not faced many serious threats within the last 100 years, but Kaito has become insistent on forming a group to combat serious threats. Stories of Goku and the Z fighters have been passed down through his family, inspiring Kaito to reform the forgotten group.

Seeking worthy candidates, Kaito took notice of a young man by the name of Koban. Koban was the son of one of Kaito's former students, Goken. Master Yamata paid Goken's family a visit and insisted that he be allowed to train Koban, who was only 8 at the time (Age 957). Goken and Master Yamata were eventually able to get Tyria's permission. Master Yamata trained with Koban for the next 12 years (till Age 969), and by then Koban had surpassed Master Yamata in skill and strength.

The second person to be recruited by Master Yamata was an unlikely creature by the name of Talak. Talak had escaped destruction and was operating on his own across the planet. The government continued to hunt him down, but Yamata saw good in him. Master Yamata persuaded the government to pardon Talak and leave him alone (Age 969). In exchange, Master Yamata would look after him and encourage him to join the Z fighters. Although Master Yamata gave Talak the freedom to come and go as he pleased, he offered Talak a place to stay and food to eat whenever he needed it.

In Age 970, Master Yamata, Koban, and Talak became the founding members of the new Z fighters.

I initially figured a base power level of 50,000 would be considered on the low end.. especially since Majin characters start out with a base power level of over 100 million.

My character is human, so he doesn't possess any super-saiyan multiplier or equivalent, so his 10% thing is the only real way for him to make up the combat difference.
