What We Do
The Parliamentary Commissioner for Freedom of Information is an officer appointed by the Monarch on the advice of Parliament (more specifically the House of Nobles), and whose role is to oversee and ensure that government departments are complying with their duties in accordance with the Official Information Act 1949.
The Commissioner's role includes investigating government agencies, protecting whistleblowers and ensuring that all requests for official information are not hindered, unless prescribed by law.
The Office of Parliamentary Commissioner for Freedom of Information (PCFOI) was established in 1962 by the Parliamentary Commssioner (Freedom of Information) Act 1962. The current Parliamentary Commissioner is Lord John Oakridge, Earl of Albion, KC, ROSJ

The Kingdom of Alizeria is a firm supporter of open and transparent government. The Official Information Act 1949 gives you the right to ask any government agency to provide recorded information.
There are no restrictions on age, nationality or where you live. As long as information is not deemed an official secret (subject to the Official Secrets Act 1973), it may be accessed at request.
