So in other words your nation wants to use 15 jurors to determine guilt or lack of guilt in a criminal proceeding. Fine and dandy. But other nations have their own ideas on how to handle this problem and should be allowed to indeed are allowed to by GAR#37.

Now if the issue here is to debate whether or not juries are more fair or judges are more fair or even if flipping a coin should even be considered, take that to General.

I would contend that getting 15 people to decide on a place to eat is going to take quite some time, much less getting them to agree on innocence or guilt of an individual.

Oh, come on, all of you. Everybody knows 42 is the right answer.

More than three hundred million lives swept before what her senses had become. Yet, she was just being born.

In that case, I see lots of "hung juries" in your nation's future ....

(OOC: I do, of course, get the reference to Hitchhiker's, though. :))

I still don't understand the purpose of 15, other than it's a (fairly) arbitrary odd number. Perhaps that's the age of the national representative from the proposing nation?

OOC: Good book btw. I read it once while taking a train from Groton, CT to Washington when I was in the Navy

This will be our last statement on this issue. The WA has no business trying to mandate the makeup of juries, the qualifications of jurors or how any particular jury system works. None.
Everything you know about me is wrong. Or a rumor. Something like that.
