Strategic Defense Initiative
A resolution to tighten or relax gun control laws.
Category: Gun Control | Decision: Tighten | Proposed by: New Severania
Description: The General Assembly,
NOTING that there are extremely evil and radical nations and regions in the NS world dedicated to the destruction of our very own, World Assembly.
ACTING in self defense if any nation or region is attacked by a nuclear missile.
NOTING that the World Assembly Aerospace Defense Command, (WASDC), will have access to a limited number of high-scale nuclear missiles to use in self-defense. It's commanders and members will be specially and honorably chosen to defend the world by the WA itself.
EXTENSIVELY NOTING that the WASDC will have strict, enforced rules and regulations, including:
1) Only act in a nation's defense.
2) Only a WA resolution can give the command to launch or build nuclear weapons.
3) The commanding officers will be chosen by the WA itself through a WA resolution.
4) The commanding officer will be elected every month so power is very limited.
ALSO NOTING that a new branch of the WA will be formed, called the World Assembly Aerospace Defense Command. When the WASDC is formed, WA nations and delegates will be able to establish new laws to assist the WASDC as situations change. The WASDC will also make resolutions on who members will launch a nuclear strike against.
REVIEWING that this elite organization will only act in a nations defense, and at the direct order of the WASDC assembly itself.
HEREBY AND PROUDLY forms the World Assembly Aerospace Defense Command.

Charlotte Ryberg wrote:The proposal would have also been of a wrong category: International Security may be of best fit but it cannot be used to establish ANY kind of military, police or central command that deploys one or both. Drafts for condemning possible rogue nations should be referred to the Security Council side of the WA and we'll happily take a look.
